Kim Rok Soo dreads as he tried to come to terms with the end of his vacation. He thought of sleeping in and missing out on the first day of his work as a sign of retaliation against his agency for giving him such a short vacation.
He kept on thinking about it.
'Just for a day' He thought as he finally decided to actually miss out on his first day back at work.
Kim Rok Soo believed that it was a great decision and totally enjoyed his extra hours of sleep until he had to suddenly wake up as someone was shaking him.
"Team leader-nim, team leader-nim! Are you not going to get up?"
"What the- Why are you here?"
"Why else?! I came here because someone whose vacation was over didn't show up for work!" Kim Min Ah answered as if she was truly concerned about her missing team leader.
"Tsk." Rok Soo clicked his tongue at his very considerate subordinate.
"Uwaaa! Team leader-nim don't tell me- you actually didn't come to work on purpose!" His other subordinate, Jung So Hoon, who was eating ramen, pitched in as Rok Soo looked away. So Hoon took Rok Soo's silence as an admission of guilt. "Wow! Team leader, hoho- you'll get an earful from the other leaders if they knew about this."
"I guess- but there's only one person in this room who I can blame if this leaks out." Rok Soo stoically remarked at So Hoon, who choked at the ramen he was eating.
*cough**cough*"Not fair team leader-nim! Why is it just me! Min Ah could have ratted you out as well!"
"Heh, I'm waay more trustworthy than you, right team leader-nim?" Min Ah laughed as he looked at the pouting So Hoon.
"Yeah." Rok Soo answered calmly.
"Uwaaa! Seriously! This is bullying! Team leader-nim I won't tell anyone, I swear! Haaaaa!" So Hoon stood up as he started to go to the kitchen once more to cook more ramen to eat away his frustration.
"I want regular ramen. Make sure to add an egg." Rok Soo realized what So Hoon was going to do.
"No egg for me!" Min Ah chimed in as she snickered at So Hoon.
"Haaaaaa, seriously!" So Hoon grumbled as he pulled out two pots from the cabinet.
Rok Soo blankly stared at So Hoon, who was making ramen.
"But in all seriousness team leader-nim, Is this really a good time for us to eat ramen? *sigh* Even if So Hoon doesn't rat you out, the leaders will definitely scold you anyway. I even missed Time Attack to come to wake you up. Do you understand? You know how much they pay for those!"
"I have a lot of documents to organize as well." So Hoon grumbled while putting the noodles and seasoning into the boiling water. The pots with ramen were placed in front of Rok Soo.
"Here's some kimchi." So Hoon placed kimchi between the two pots.
They soon finished eating the ramen and started to leave.
"We'll be down at the car. Please come down once you're ready."
"Shall I do the dishes?"
Rok Soo responded to Min Ah and So Hoon once he was done eating.
"Okay. I'll get ready and head down. You don't need to do the dishes."
"Yes, sir!"
"You don't need to rush, so please feel free to take your time." The two of them opened the door and headed out of his rental room.
Rok Soo started piling up the books that he needs to bring back to the library.
"Huh-" Rok Soo looked around and saw only five books titled [The Birth of a Hero.]
'How many was it again?' Rok Soo could've sworn that there were more than five books, but for some odd reason, he can't remember how many there actually were.
'Am I still sleepy?' Rok Soo asked himself as he finally prepared to head outside.
