"You're the reason I can't concentrate."

Summary:

You weren't particularly focused on your homework before, and Dabi isn't helping.

Work Text:

Homework pissed you off. Your infiltration mission should not, in any capacity, require you to do homework. In fact, if it wasn’t for your age-shifting power, you wouldn’t even be saddled with attending UA at all.

“Fuck integrals,” you muttered to yourself, scribbling all but the correct answers on the sheet.

Looming over your shoulder, warm breaths on your neck, Dabi said, “Why don’t you use your quirk?”

You scoffed and threw your head back on his shoulder. “I can change my body, not my brain. Looking smarter and being smarter are vastly different things.”

Arms wrapped around your waist, eyes fluttering shut as he smelled your apple shampoo, radiating a soothing heat. You basked in the comfort of his embrace, though it did nothing to simplify the maths on the desk.

“I don’t remember school being so difficult. Annoying, yeah, but not difficult,” you said.

“I don’t remember school.” He hardly attended any before villainy clasped its talons around his heart. “Shouldn’t you focus? Your mission also hinges on homework.”

“You—” you nipped his ear, drawing a playful growl from him. “You’re the reason I can’t concentrate.”

“Your doodles would beg to differ.”

You both glanced at the paper, inked blue with pictures of pro heroes getting into increasingly convoluted traps. Cathartic. Chuckling, Dabi kissed your neck, burnt lips on scarred skin.

“Erase them before you return it.”
