“Too hot...”
“Ngh..did you say something, Hisame..?” A tired raspy voice erupted from the left side of the bed as the dark haired girl slowly lifted her head to see her girlfriend twisting and turning in the small bed they slept in. Before Koharu could say anything else, she heard Hisame quietly whine in her sleep with her face glowing red.
“So..hot...”
“Hisame..?” Koharu gently reached out to feel Hisame’s forehead only for her to pull away with now worried eyes, ‘Ah, she’s burning up!’
“K..Koharu...” The auburn haired girl whimpered once more before Koharu pulled her close to her chest.
“Shhhh...it’s okay sweetie..I’m right here..” Koharu’s cheeks flushed as she let her fingers roam her girlfriend’s long locks. They were a bit damp from sweating but that didn’t matter right as this moment. Koharu slowly crept her way out of bed to rush into the bathroom to grab a washcloth and soak it with cold water.
A few seconds later, Koharu quickly rip toed her way back to the side of the bed where Hisame was now laying on her back. Perfect.
The girl took a deep breath before slowly moving her girlfriend’s messy bangs out of her face and placed the cold cloth onto her forehead in which she received a small “ngh..” as a response.
“Now I need to figure out how to calm her down...”
A few jokes maybe? No, Koharu was bad when it came to jokes to be very honest.
Food? Hell no she’ll burn the whole college dorm!
Hmm....oh, a song maybe! That should help Hisame sleep better. Koharu opened the music app on her phone to help find a song to serenade her poor girlfriend.
“Still With You”. Koharu couldn’t help but smile in remembrance of slow dancing with Hisame to that song at one point in their 3 year relationship.
She cuddled up to her girlfriend with a gentle arm around her waist and a hand on her hair.
That faint voice of yours that grazed me
Please call my name one more time
I’m standing still under the frozen light, but
I will walk towards you, step by step Still with you...
Before Koharu could continue, she heard the sound of faint breathing against her cheek. She opened her eyes to see Hisame, expression softened and sleeping soundly next to her. ‘That was rather quick..’ Koharu chuckled to herself as she reached forward to turn off the bedroom lamp.
“Goodnight, my sweet.”
And with a gentle kiss to her girlfriend’s cheek, she drifted back into dreamland with her beloved sleeping right in her arms.
