“This isn’t fair to me Ei.”
Eijirou barked out a laugh as if what Katsuki had just said was the stupidest thing he’d ever heard.
“You think I care about fair? I slaughtered a whole crew, I know that’s not fair.”
Katsuki didn’t tear his eyes from the vast abyss of space in front of him, yet he could still feel every movement that was made behind him. A pressure appeared at the small of his back, and he knew Eijirou had his knife pressed against him.
“You knew the whole time anyway,” Eijirou moved to speak right into the smaller man’s ear, “didn’t you.”
The breath that puffed down the side of his neck made Katsuki shiver, careful not to displace the blade holding him in place.
“I didn’t want to believe it. But yeah, I knew.”
Katsuki continued to stare out the window, trying to blend his feelings of numbness regarding space into his feelings about the man about to murder him.
“Such a naive little crew mate.”
The knife traveled up Katsuki’s back to the back of his neck with no real pressure being applied along the way.
“You made me naive,” Katsuki said in barely a whisper. If Eijirou wasn’t so close he most likely wouldn’t have heard.
“I didn’t make you do anything. That was the fun part. You trusted me all on your own. Blind faith. Like I was your God.”
“There’s no God out here Ei.”
“Shouldn’t that make you a little more scared?”
The knife pressed down a little on Katsuki’s skin, drawing blood that dripped down his neck.
Katsuki finally turned his gaze away from the window, ignoring the knife slicing him delicately. Meeting eyes with Eijirou, Katsuki wanted to be met with the kind gaze he had grown fond of, but instead found a foreign amusement glinting across his face.
“I want you to be the last thing I look at before I die. If you’re gonna stab me at least look me in the eyes while you do it you coward.”
The knife blade was pressed flat against Katsuki’s throat and one quick motion from Eijirou would lay him out on the floor.
“It’s such a shame I have to kill you Suki, you are so much fun to have around. Maybe I can get you to join me?”
Katsuki grabbed the front of Eijirou’s space suit, pulling him closer and pushing the blade into himself.
“Slit my throat Eijirou.”
The blonde’s breathing was calm, and he continued to lose himself in the red eyes before him like he had always done with space, hoping that he could fade easier into death.
“As you wish, little crew mate.”
Katsuki didn’t feel much after the initial bite of the knife. Red eyes and sharp teeth fading to black as his body slumped against the man in front of him.
