Diluc
- This man knows his way around the kitchen. C’mon, what did you expect?
- Usually does not cook because he has other people to do it for him
- But when it comes to you he gets really soft and likes to prepare special meals
- Has one time whipped out pudding and you still have no idea how he did it
- It’s hilarious to see him in an apron
Kaeya
- He can cook but he’s usually too lazy to
- Must have challenged Diluc to a cook-off in the past… maybe several times
- Will be willing to cook for you if he gets something in exchange… like a kiss
- Much more happy to sit back and watch you bustle around the kitchen
- Big fan of having wine with whatever he cooks
Venti
- Can’t be trusted with a hot pan
- The one time he tried to cook for you something exploded
- Jean though Klee was in the kitchen i kid you not
- Scared of hot oil
- Likes to bring snacks for you while you’re working though
- Where does he get the snacks from? You never question it
Razor
- Loves to eat meat
- So he’s surprisingly good with dealing with meat… though sometimes he’ll forget the spices
- Likes making hash browns (this is canon if you use Razor to cook hash browns he’ll make a special dish)
- Dislikes all vegetables except potatoes
- Has probably at some point or another held up a radish towards you and asked “we can eat this?”
Bennett
- This boy tries his best okay but he just has terrible luck
- Is good at making wilderness survival type foods like skewers and soups
- Loves meat… he and Razor would probably get along well
- But he set a stove on fire one time by accident and he’s banned from cooking in Mondstat so he does it outside
Aether
- Is he a god of cooking or something???
- Literally can make everything and anything so long as he has a recipe
- You’re constantly amazed when he brings back exotic dishes he’s learned from somewhere else
- Really happy to cook for you if you ask… will teach you as well
Albedo
- Has a tendency to mix up his experiments and food
- Is able to cook, just doesn’t have time
- So he’ll throw together like eggs or something simple
- Archons forbid he cooks his experiments because explosions
Xingqiu
- He can cook he’s learned it but he’d much rather be reading
- Though if you ask for it he’ll make traditional dishes for you
- Really likes dealing with seafoods like fish or shrimp
- So you’ll often bring back fresh ingredients and his face will light up
- Absolutely hates carrots and refuses to use them or eat them
Chongyun
- He’s good at surviving in the wilderness so he’s picked up a few tricks for cooking in the middle of nowhere
- CAN!! MAKE!! POPSICLES!!!
- You immediately try having him make different flavored popsicles
- You also wonder if he’ll have a successful business if he starts selling them
- This poor boy can’t handle spicy foods at all
- You’re fine with that so the two of you usually enjoy cooking mellow soups or stir fries
Xiao
- Doesn’t really cook because there’s no need for him to
- He can though, he’s been alive for so long so he’s learned a few recipes
- He can make his favorite dish, almond tofu, but would much rather have you make it because it tastes “better” he says
- If you ask repeatedly he’ll probably do something like fish stew, nothing fancy but he can make Adeptus’ Temptation, if only for his fellow adepti
Tartaglia
- Will cook for you if you ask, and he’s not picky at all
- He can make Snezhneyan dishes, and picked up a few Liyue dishes as well
- They’re actually quite good and he’s really proud when you like them
- If he has a new recipe he’ll have fun learning as he goes
- He doesn’t dislike anything. How is that possible? You’ve had him try Xiangling’s spicy dishes and he says it tastes like the fire-water of Snezhnaya
Zhongli
- Obviously he can cook
- He loves showcasing exotic dishes with history
- He’ll take his time to move around the kitchen while explaining the properties of each ingredient and what it contributes
- You’ll just sit and watch while he’ll occasionally let you taste test
- When you want to help he guides you through the motions, hands gentle, patient and warm against your shoulders
Kazuha
- “I’m not fond of food thrown together in a hurry”
- Specializes in seafood, especially fish because of being on the Crux
- Is able to prepare seafood in all sorts of ways
- He’s eager for you to try his cooking actually
Thoma
- *chanting* malewife malewife malewife malewife malewi—
- He will cook for you, and it will be so good
- The sheer amount of dishes he knows convinces you he’s well traveled despite his protests
- Cooks for you if you ask, but is usually very, very busy with other things so it’s something quick
- Like skewers, eggs rolls, rice buns, a miso soup, etc.
- Enjoys cooking for you! Would teach you several simpler dishes
Itto
- not really big on cooking, but when he does it’s more “wilderness” type stuff
- Roasting lavender melons, other stuff over the fire
- Or as he likes to call it, “winning the snacks fair and square”
- Will probably hold up a ladle and go “this is a really impractical weapon”
- “If they made this ball at the end of it NOT hollow, it would be way better”
Gorou
- being a military commander doesn’t let him spend a lot of time cooking
- Knows how to work rations, rationing, outdoor camp-style cooking
- Very simple, roasting things over the fire, light seasoning
- He can’t afford to be picky
- Would probably love to learn how to bake or make sweets because he has a sweet tooth
Ayato
- …he canonically experiments with his food, so that’s a bit concerning
- Probably knows how to cook, though he doesn’t need to because staff prepare his food
- C’mon, he’s the Yashiro commissioner, he’s rich, he’s important, people cook for him
- If he’ll cook, he’ll experiment with flavors, mix up salt and sugar, etc.
- Is delighted if you agree to taste tests and will most definitely troll you
