It'd started a handful of visits ago, or at least that's when Jiang Cheng had really noticed it. After spending a little bit of time on whatever work or reading Lan Xichen would bring over to his apartment, he would insist on cleaning because 'I want to show my appreciation for letting me stay the night, Wanyin' even though Jiang Cheng had always told him that no thanks was necessary and he understood why Xichen didn't want to be around his and Lan Wangji's place when Wei Wuxian was visiting. They could be really... loud.
He'd talked to Xichen once before about it, back when it was beginning to really get to him, and Xichen had promised to stop and that he wasn't doing it on purpose. It was just his rabbit nature. While Lan Xichen was cleaning he'd move in sudden and fast bursts of movement now and then. The flash of white ears and fluffy tail was the most noticeable. Maybe it was a subconscious thing Xichen was doing. He probably got into the groove of cleaning and then his instincts took over without him knowing and he'd start flitting about.
It was incredibly... arousing to Jiang Cheng's leopard instincts and desire and it didn't help that Lan Xichen was already deliciously attractive. Every flicker of quick movement from the corner of his eye would immediately distract him and the need to hunt and chase would rear up and he'd have to forcefully calm himself down. Only for it to happen again and again. He'd spend hours feeling tightly wound up and struggling to keep his predatory nature and lust under control. He did not want to frighten Lan Xichen and scare him off nor did he know if his interest would be returned.
Yet again, another flash of white in the corner of his eye and Jiang Cheng twitched, tail lashing. He turned away from his laptop on the kitchen table to meet the innocent gaze of his extremely tempting friend, who was busy cleaning the couch and television of the adjoining living room.
Beautiful eyes blinked and long, soft white ears fluttered as Lan Xichen tilted his head to the side and asked in a sweet voice, "Something on your mind, Wanyin?"
Jiang Cheng sucked in a breath. That... that was-
Far too innocent.
Was it possible that it wasn't one-sided?
"No," Jiang Cheng said, turning back to his work. He waited a few seconds and then glanced back as subtly as he could to confirm his suspicions.
Aha!
Lan Xichen's ears and shoulders were drooping in deflation. As if he was disappointed. As if he-
Jiang Cheng's leopard roared to life and in a flash he was up out of his seat and across the room. Surprised eyes met his as he pounced and Xichen's back hit the couch.
"Ah! Wanyin!" Lan Xichen struggled a little bit, but it was clearly for show. Jiang Cheng knew the taller man could easily push him off if he really wanted to escape. He countered the flailing hands and knees and more thoroughly pinned Xichen down. He shifted closer and noted with growing satisfaction the flushed cheeks, quickened breath, and dark eyes with pupils blown wide in anticipation. This was far better than he'd ever hoped for.
He leaned in and growled low in his throat, "This is what you wanted, isn't it Xichen-ge?"
His prey swallowed, drawing the gaze of the hunter to his bare and inviting neck, "I-"
Jiang Cheng nipped the other's nose and was rewarded with a squeak. "You were deliberately teasing me, tempting me, and now I've caught you."
A whine escaped from Xichen's open pink lips as the predator's declaration washed over him. "Yes," he admitted. "I was. I- I've always wanted you-" Lan Xichen trailed off in a needy moan as Jiang Cheng licked a slow stripe from the base of his neck and up the underside of his chin, rolling his body at the same time, deliberately letting his hard arousal be known.
Jiang Cheng mouthed and nipped up the side of Lan Xichen's jaw to purr in his ear, "Naughty little rabbit, aren't you?" He punctuated his words with a hard grind of his hips, loving the way the body under him trembled in pleasure.
With almost a sob, the taller man squirmed hard, his heartbeat fast and body hot against Jiang Cheng's form. "Please," he begged, much to Jiang Cheng's delight, pressing hot kisses to predator's neck and face. One of Lan Xichen's hands escaped and it immediately began to claw at him, trying to pull him closer.
Catching the hand to pin it down again, Jiang Cheng licked into Xichen's open mouth, swallowing another needy moan. He ended the heated kiss with a nip to flushed lips. "Behave yourself," he scolded, "You are my prey."
Jiang Cheng indulged his wonderful prey and pressed his body flush against Lan Xichen's, allowing legs to escape and wrap around his hips. He captured and swallowed loud moans in several more deep, wet kisses before whispering a promise against Xichen's lips, "And I am going to devour you."
