“ CHEERS TO THE BRIDE AND THE GROOM!!”
Uraraka stand up while holding her drink high in the air. There’s a lot of smiling faces with loud cheers following after her wish. Today is todoroki and momo’s wedding day. Today is the day two people unite their love and become one and today is the day kirishima knows his love towards todoroki will always and always one sided.
He looks at todoroki’s face, the man he falls in love for almost 7 years and for 7 years he never has the courage to confess. Well, it’s not like he does not want to confess but he never has a chance to. Todoroki and momo became lovers since their second year in UA.
Kirishima would never forget how devastated he was on that day. The day he planned to confess to todoroki after the whole month of practicing his confession with bakugou in his room at 11 p.m. kirishima would never forget how much he cried at that night after kaminari told the bakusquad about seeing todoroki holding momo’s hand. At first, he thought it was just a normal gesture like he did with bakugou until he saw todoroki kissed momo right in front of him. He would never forget how bakugou looked at him with so much pity. He would never forget how fake his smile was when he congratulated todoroki for finding a great lover even though he knew, how he wished it was him that stayed by the heterochromia boy side. He would never forget the day his heart breaking apart like there’s no other day to do so.
Now, when he looks back at those 7 years ago. He wishes he never met todoroki or how he wishes he never fall in love with him. But that’s fine. He used to this feeling. He used to see todoroki happy with someone who is not him. He used with this unrequited love but he can’t help himself from hoping that it should be him that are standing beside todoroki right now. It should be him who uraraka congratulates to. It should be him since the beginning if he was a little bit faster on his confession. This should be his wedding with todoroki and not momo’s.
“ Kirishima, are you- fuck, are you fucking okay?” The angry blond looks at him with a lot of concern inside his eyes.
Kirishima chuckled slightly while shaking his head. No, of course he’s not fine. He will never be fine and never will be. He knows he should listen to bakugou when the angry man told kirishima to ditch todoroki’s wedding but it’s not manly to do that even though he’s breaking inside and out right now. It’s funny how he supposed to be unbreakable but look at him right now. He is slowly breaking just because the man of his dream will never be his. How pathetic he is.
Bakugou grabs his right arm and pulls him but somehow kirishima can’t move. No, Kirishima refuses to move because he wants to look at todoroki. To look how happy the dual haired man is when kirishima is not happy at all. The tears that he has been holding for the past hours finally make their escape. His vision becomes blur and the soft sobs slowly crawling their way out of his mouth.
“ k-kiri?” Mina calls him and the action draws all the attention he does not need right now. Half of his ex classmates look at him with concern and weird expressions. Kirishima could hear the a string of curses under bakugou’s breath and before he realise it, bakugou is dragging him away from the event.
His body is shaking violently and he can’t stop the tears from running down his face when Bakugou forces him to enter the car. He should be happy for todoroki. He should be but for once he wants to be selfish. He wants to admit how broken he is. How unfair the world is. How cruel cupid is for making him falling in love with the person he will never have. How bad he wish momo never exists to begin with.
“ you will be okay. I know you will. Hell, when we are at america, i fucking know you will forget that half and half bastard. How the fuck he can’t see how fucking angel you are. What the fuck is wrong with his stupid small brain.”
Kirishima stays silent. He too hopes he can forget todoroki when he and bakugou move away from japan. Move far away from this exhausting place which is full with bad memories about todoroki.
Yeah, he hopes he can forget the heterochromia man sooner or later.
