Mondays were usually the least toxic day at Doldam hospital and considering that Yoon Seo Jeong and Cha Eun Jae were away for a cardiology conference at Seoul, Kang Dong Joo suggested they have a boy’s night out. It was going to be fun, Kang Dong Joo said. Now on their eleventh bottle of soju, Do In Beom cursed Kang Dong Joo mentally. He now realized that he was their designated driver and was responsible for dragging these three idiots home.

Eun Tak who was already obviously drunk since their third bottle kept giggling like a high school girl. Kang Dong Joo who was the charismatic GS doctor and the usual leader of the group, was now all serious and sentimental. And Seo Woo Jin, his secretly favorite hoobae, was busy with his phone, most likely drunk texting Cha Eun Jae.

“You know I really, really love Seo Jeong right? But sometimes she’s just, she’s so frustrating.” Dong Joo slurred.

“I can’t even say Ah Reum is frustrating!” Eun Tak said happily swaying side to side. “She’s going to get mad at me.” he added, whispering loudly.

“I think Eun Jae’s hot.” Woo Jin stated.

“WE KNOW.” the three guys said simultaneously.

Woo Jin simply shrugged at them. Do In Beom was far from drunk and yet he already had a migraine just from listening to this conversation. First of all, he didn’t want to hear about Kang Dong Joo’s relationship problems with their senior doctor whom he treated as his noona. Second, while he and Eun Tak were on better terms now, he didn’t want to hear him confessing about his undying love to his cousin. And most of all he didn’t want to witness his hoobae, being a horny drunk. He was this close to un-favoriting him.

“I’ve waited for Seo Jeong for five years until we got together. Then three years later we do long distance. And we’re back at Doldam now, but still she hasn’t mentioned anything about marriage.” Dong Joo whined.

“I waited for Eun Jae for more than ten years, so I win.” Woo Jin smiled proud of himself.

Eun Tak just laughed at them.

“Ah Reum and I became a couple just after a month. She said she couldn’t resist my charms. I guess I’m the best looking at Doldam Hospital.” Eun Tak giggled.

Both Kang Dong Joo and Seo Woo Jin glared at him.

“I don’t even know what my cousin saw in you!” In Beom shouted at him.

“Anyway I just don’t know, I feel like marriage is the next step for us but knowing Seo Jeong all she cares about is the trauma center. I’m willing to wait for her and all, but I also want to start a family. Don’t you think I’ll be a great dad?” Dong Joo went on.

“Oh! Oh! I know! You should take pediatric surgery. So Dr. Yoon can see how good you can be with kids.” Eun Tak happily suggested, clapping his hands.

“Eun Jae and I are going to make lots of babies.” Woo Jin said smugly.

“Seo Woo Jin! Don’t you even dare--” In Beom growled.

“It’s okay Sunbae-nim.” Woo Jin put his arm around him “You don’t have to be jealous of me and Eun Jae. One day, you’re going to have a girlfriend of your own, too hm?”

“I think In Beom’s going to die alone.” Dong Joo snorted.

Eun Tak gasped dramatically “Dr. Do, once you’re old and alone does this mean you’ll have to stay with me and Ah Reum?”

In Beom shook Woo Jin’s arm away. I am not allowed to strangle them. I am not allowed to strangle them. I am not allowed to strangle them. He chanted in his head.

[23:19]

“Basically all I’m saying is why hasn’t Seo Jeong proposed to me yet?” Dong Joo whined, utterly stressed by now.

“Doesn’t she want to marry me? What if, what if…” Dong Joo paused.

Eun Tak held his breath. Woo Jin, who had been glued to his phone all along flooding Eun Jae’s inbox, finally looked up. In Beom just glared at him.

“What now, Dong Joo?” In Beom said, irritated.

“What if we’ve reached this point in our relationship wherein we’re so comfortable with each other that she's already bored? What if, what if she’s not turned on by me anymore?” Dong Joo said aghast.

“She can’t break up with you!” Eun Tak gasped “You have to break up with her first, sunbaenim! Then she’ll freak out so she’ll love you again.”

“Un-freaking-believable.” In Beom muttered under his breath.

“Eun Jae fights with me almost every other week, that way we never get bored. It keeps our relationship healthy.” Woo Jin shrugged.

“That’s the smartest thing you’ve said all night, Dr. Seo!” Eun Tak gaped at him.

“Then we get competitive in bed.” Woo Jin added, shooting them his happy boyish grin.

“DAMN IT SEO WOO JIN! I swear if you don’t shut up you’ll be sentenced to three months of graveyard shift and you can kiss your bedtime with Eun Jae away!!!” In Beom threatened.

Woo Jin froze suddenly, dropping his phone. His face paled and his bottom lip trembled. Eun Tak suddenly rushed to his side of the table immediately gathering Woo Jin in his arms as  Woo Jin laid his head on Eun Tak’s shoulder, already sniffing quietly.

“Dr. Do, look at what you did! You made Dr. Seo upset!” Eun Tak reprimanded him.

“What? I just made him shut up.” In Beom scoffed.

“That was just cruel, In Beom. You should be ashamed of yourself.” Dong Joo glared at him then picked up Woo Jin’s phone. “Don’t worry about it Woo Jin. I won’t let him do that to you and Eun Jae.”

Woo Jin’s sniffling stopped and took back his phone. Eun Tak let him go and went back to his seat. Woo Jin took a small glance at Do In Beom’s way. In Beom clenched his fists, were these idiots seriously ganging up on him, now?
