Chapter Text
Kyoka looked up from her phone when the bell jingled. She wasn't usually on her phone while working in the shop, but today was a really slow day.
"Welcome to Jiro's Jazzy Music store, how may I help you?" Kyoka asked. Don't blame her, she didn't come up with that ridiculous name.
The girl that had just came into the shop wore a big silver colored coat, her skin was bright pink and Kyoka could spot a pair of yellow horns in her curly pink hair.
"Oh! I just need to know if you have any kazoos?" The pink girl asked as she stepped closer to the counter.
Kyoka recognized her, it was Mina Ashido from class 1-a, the class that somehow was surviving Uncle Shota's strict teaching.
"Let me check in the back" Kyoka said and quickly disappeared.
What was the chance of meeting one of class 1-a in her dad's music shop on a Saturday? Denki would made sense, they are good friends. But literally anybody else of the really attractive people in class 1-a? Weird.
Based on what Denki had told her about Mina, it wasn't that weird with her buying a kazoo, since he had said that Mina and Denki were a lot alike. Kyoka also knew that she liked dancing... and had "great plans", or at least that's what Denki called them. Mina was also incredibly pretty. And very strong... at least that's what Kyoka had seen from the sports festival when she soccer punched the French kid. Kyoka kind of wanted to be lifted in those arms, just too feel Mina's biceps.
Kyoka was ripped out of her thoughts when she almost tripped over a box. Oh look, it was the kazoos. Why weren't they on a shelf was the big question.
Kyoka grumbled to herself about her dad not putting things where they should be, as she walked back out to Mina.
"Here you go" Kyoka said as she put down the box on the counter.
"Great! How much for the whole box?" Mina asked and started to look trough her school bag for her wallet.
"The... the whole b-box?" Kyoka asked, taken aback.
"Yeah" Mina confirmed, grinning even wider.
"Oh uhm... It's 120 yen per Kazoo. So uhm, let me count?"
"Mhmm!"
Mina leaned on her elbow against the counter, watching Kyoka with a small smile on her face. Kyoka didn't seem to notice as she counted the Kazoos while humming quietly to the song on the radio.
In Mina's mind this random teen was incredibly beautiful. Purple eyes that twinkled in the light, the same shade of purple on her hair that framed around her face. A small smile on her really kissable lips. And oh god, she looked so cute when she had been confused earlier.
"So, what's your name? Or can I call you mine?" Mina couldn't help but to flirt.
Kyoka's cheeks and the top of her ears flushed bright pink.
"K-kyoka Jiro" She said and shyly held out a hand for Mina to shake.
"Mina Ashido, great to meet you!" Mina shot back as she shook Kyoka's hand.
"N-nice to meet you too" Kyoka said, nervously clicking her earphone jacks together.
Kyoka went back to counting, still blushing furiously. Mina thought she looked really cute like this.
"That's 35 kazoos, which is... 4327 yen" Kyoka said after doing some quick math in her head.
"Here, keep the change" Mina said and handed her 4350 yen.
"T-thanks... So uhm... before you go, why?" Kyoka asked as she gave Mina the box.
"Why what?" She asked.
"Why are you buying 35 kazoos?"
"Oh! We're doing secret Santa in our class and I got Shoji, you know the one with the arms"
"... You want to see him play them all at once don't you?" Kyoka asked, deadpan.
"Yep! I'm a genius" Mina said with a huge grin.
"Hmm, both pretty and smart I see" Kyoka flirted while leaning forward on the counter.
Mina's face darkened and she hid her pretty face with her right hand. Mina stammered something that Kyoka couldn't make out. Even with her earphone jacks.
"Awe, you're so cute when you're flustered"
Mina let out the sound of a verbal key smash.
"D-did you just do a verbal key smash?" Kyoka asked.
"I didn't come here to get hit on by a cute girl" Mina said, but it was muffled by her hand.
"I think you're cuter then me thought"
"Hhhhhhhhhhh- stoooop ittt, my face is burning up"
"Why don't you...-" Kyoka began.
"Don't you dare" Mina interrupted her.
"Make me"
Mina took her hand of her face and looked Kyoka into her eyes, her face still incredibly red.
"At least take me out for dinner first" Mina whispered.
That was the first time they met.
