Chapter Text
I can’t imagine being happier than this.
Kirishima was filling his backpack outside the bookstore. He had just spent almost his entire allowance for 3 weeks on books on Hero history, philosophy, science, strategy, law, and culture. 19 books in total. Midoriya will probably read all these in under a school week. The thought of Midoriya laying on his chest, on his bed, reading and muttering like a weirdo, while Kirishima just fiddled with his curly hair while his video game was paused, made him smiled brightly on this little street corner.
It’d been three months. It was the middle of Winter. Kirishima couldn’t stop smiling, day in and day out. Midoriya as his boyfriend was a dream. He couldn’t believe who he was in love with. It was just a sleepover. That turned into more sleepovers. And dinner and breakfast together, and training, and a lifetime’s worth of snuggles.
Kirishima zipped up his backpack, and tugged it up over his shoulders, and began walking back to campus. He had been told to get back by 11:00 am. Which he was sure he was going to.
His phone buzzed. He looked at the screen. “✨💚❤☺🤩😘🌿Izuku🌿😘🤩☺✨💚❤”. My adorable boyfriend is going to grace my ears on this fine day. Kirishima smiled as he swiped up. “Hello, you’ve reached the boyfriend of the greatest hero of all time, how can I help you today?”
He could almost hear the sound of blood pumping to Midoriya’s cheeks. “Why do you say that to me?? It always makes me so flustered before the conversation even starts.”
Kirishima giggled. “It’s not you. I introduce myself on the phone to everyone.”
Midoriya giggled. “Okay, sure.” Kirishima kept quiet, smirking to himself. “You aren’t being serious. That’s a joke, right?”
“Text Tamaki.”
Midoriya sighed over the phone. “I’m scared now. Anyway, are you gonna be back soon?”
Kirishima’s voice beamed. “Izuku!!! Do you miss me? Are you excited for me to be back?”
“You’re always so happy. It makes me happy. But yes, I do kind of miss you. I have a special present for you!”
Kirishima’s heart thumped. “You have? I-I mean you do?”
“Mhm. Oh, do you have lots of blankets? We’ll need them tonight.”
Kirishima’s hand shivered and his nose dripped a single drop of blood. “W-what will we be d-d-doing?”
Midoriya laughed to try and fight off the embarrassment. “Nothing rushy, okay? Haha. But I have something planned, but it’ll be a little cold.”
Kirishima’s soft smile resumed. “Yeah, I do. Plenty.”
Kirishima could hear the sound of hopping in place, which he had to hold back laughter for. “Yay! Okay, then text me when you get back on campus, okay!”
“Wait! Don’t hang up Izzichan!”
“Huh? Is there anything else you need to talk about?”
“I don’t wanna stop hearing your voice!!” Kirishima said with a puppydog whine.
Midoriya laughed over the phone. “Okay. Bye now. Uh…I…uhm…L…L-l-love you, Eijchan.”
Kirishima’s heart went melty. They’d only been on serious, intimate ‘I love you’ terms for about a week. “I love you too.” Midoriya phone hung up. So Kirishima hung up his phone.
