The moment that Namjoon steps into the  apartment, he’s happily greeted by hearing the opening notes of Mariah Carey’s All I want for Christmas Is You .

Taking off his shoes at the door and walking more into their home, the music only gets louder and louder. There’s a soft smile on his face already, his feet knowing where to go without him even thinking about it. Namjoon can already figure out ( knows for a fact, let's be real)  that Seokjin will be in the kitchen, dancing around while he’s baking or cooking,  and battling it out with Mariah’s vocals in the back.

He stops at the corner right before where the kitchen would be and hides  himself away in the wall. He stands there, trying his best to be unnoticeable and just looks at what is happening in the room a few feet away..

The smile on his face could only widen at this point, his dimples poking through and deepening at the sight. Namjoon had  guessed it right and very much thought so. He knows his husband very well (they have been together for many years now, oh God, dated for three years and now married for four) but besides all that, it’s very much a Seokjin thing to do especially when the holiday season is here.

Namjoon couldn’t complain though, he loves this season as much as his husband does.

Speaking of who, as he hides behind the wall,  Seokjin is very much in the kitchen and doing what Namjoon had figured out to be what he had thought of. Laid out on the kitchen island, there were bowls, flour practically everywhere and right in the middle of it all, in his flour coated glory, Seokjin dances and sings along with the music. Of course, making his performance complete, he holds onto a ladle as mic. His smile mirroring his movements — happy, delighted and full of energy.

It’s endearing really, adorable even and Namjoon couldn’t be more in love than he already is. What had made it even more adorable and endearing, is that between all of the mess on the kitchen island and Seokjin singing to his heart’s content, two little ones watch with him move around, showing the same smile and glee on their faces.

Yeah, Namjoon couldn't believe it either. Not only does he have the love of his life by his side, he has two more loves who take up his heart all the same — Nari and Hyejun.

The two little ones look absolutely delighted seeing their Papa dance and sing, having their own exclusive performance in front of them. Now, Namjoon’s usually a strong willed man — it takes a lot out of him to break down but when it comes to his family, when it comes to his absolute pride and joy, he can only do so much. Before he knows it, he’d be already on his knees at the very  sight of his loves being the absolute cutest. It really takes him that long to notice as the song ends and he’s taken out of his state and finally joins his family in the kitchen.

“How come I wasn’t aware that there’d be a performance by Kim Seokjin tonight?” Namjoon finally walks into the kitchen, dropping his bag on the counter (that is not covered in flour) before the familiar pitter patter of feet comes his way. He feels two pairs of arms tugging on his pants and practically already begging to be carried. He hears Seokjin call out to their Alexa device to pause the music and right before he picks up the little ones, he leans over to Seokjin, giving a sweet peck on his lips.

“Sorry, love. It just happened on the spot, it was definitely not scheduled. Otherwise, you’d be the first to know.” Seokjin giggles, giving him one more kiss. The smile on Namjoon’s face never left, it seems that it would only get bigger (if that’s even possible). Namjoon was so tempted to give his husband another kiss, something more slower and deeper than just a simple peck but alas, when you’ve got two little ones who are so eager to be picked up, there’s only so much you can do before a full blown tantrum will happen.

“Did you enjoy Papa’s singing and dancing, little ones?” Namjoon carries both Nari and Hyejun onto his arms, hoisting them up so they won’t fall. Next thing he knows, he’s being attacked with kisses left and right and  arms wrapping around his neck. The kisses begin to tickle him and  Namjoon tilts his head back, laughing but definitely enjoying it. He hears Seokjin laugh on the side before the sound of the camera pings off,  “I’m definitely making this my lockscreen next.”

It took a moment for the kids to stop what they were doing and while Namjoon would happily indulge them in it, his arms were getting a little tired. Seokjin notices and tells the kids as such, “Okay babies, Daddy’s tired. You can do that later again,”

Nari and Hyejun both let out a whine but still compiled and were asked to be  let down eventually. They both were supporting small pouts and seriously, Namjoon is a weak man when it comes to these  two. He lightly gives them both a ruffle on their head, crouching down to their size before giving each of them a kiss on their cheek.

That seemed to have done it as their pouts became smiles and before Namjoon knew it, he was on the floor with their little bodies securely wrapping him again, ultimately being knocked by their little force of nature.

Seokjin gives a little snicker and mumbles, “When it comes to their Daddy, they’re the sweetest. Of course they are, little traitors.”

Namjoon hears it and just laughs.

Changing out of his work clothes and into something more comfier, Namjoon walks back to the kitchen. A different song was now playing but it was all the same like when he had first arrived. This time, Seokjin was singing and dancing to Santa Tell Me by Ariana Grande and the kids were still very much enjoying it. Namjoon joins his husband, dancing along with him and when it came to the part,

Santa, tell me if you're really there

Don't make me fall in love again if he won't be here

Next year

Santa, tell me if he really cares

'Cause I can't give it all away if he won't be here

Next year

Seokjin looks at him directly and points with the big spoon, smiles and all, until Namjoon gets the memo, makes an X on his chest and leans back a bit — having a “pained” look on his face. The kids absolutely enjoy it though and just laugh at their parents' antics. This continues until the  song ends, with both Namjoon and Seokjin just dancing, making it a performance for their little ones.

It was Namjoon this time calling out to Alexa to lower down the volume as the next song plays, as Seokjin takes out the cookies from the oven and places them on the cooling rack. Nari and Hyejun expectantly moved a little from where they were and watched with their doe eyes the cookies.

“Are we decorating the cookies today?” Namjoon asks, as Seokjin was taking out another tray. His husband gives out a little hum as a reply, and honestly, Namjoon felt like a kid again. “What can I do to help you then?”

“Can you please just take out the icing from the fridge and the sprinkles from the cabinet?”

Namjoon does as he asked, placing all of them on the now cleaned kitchen island. Just like their father, Nari and Hyejun look more excited now to see the icing and the sprinkles in front of them. “Who do you think is going to make the best Christmas cookie?”

Without a hesitation in their little bodies whatsoever, both Nari and Hyejun raised their hands and shouted, “me! Me!” which made Namjoon and Seokjin just laugh.

Before any of the kids could pounce on the cookies (not literally but they very much could), Seokjin reprimands them and tells them just to wait a little longer until they’re cooled down before they can start taking one and decorating it. Nari and Hyejun were both such good kids and didn’t argue any longer than they should have and waited for the go sign.

In the meantime, Seokjin had asked Namjoon to help with filling up the piping bags and small ziplocks for the kids to use with the icing. Definitely working together, it had made everything quicker and just in time, the cookies were cooled down and were ready to have icing and sprinkles on them.

The little ones were very much thrilled to finally get started with their cookies. Namjoon knows very much that Seokjin is a great breaker but he’s still surprised to see how well the cookies had turned out especially with its different cuttings. Nari and Hyejun were very much content with their decorating time, and only asking help from the adults when they absolutely needed it. Ever so often, the little ones would show off their progress and the two adults would shower them with endless praises.

“Is that a snowman, Hyejunnie? Woow, you’re so good, my love!”

“Nari, that’s amazing! Look at you, baby. You’re even better than me. Good job!”

Those were only a couple out of the whole bunch that they would say to their little ones for reinforcement and love.. It warmed both of their hearts to see their smiles as they would receive each compliment. Now, on the other hand, with the adults and their decorating, it's a little different. Namjoon’s more attention to detail kind of person while Seokjin is more of a go with the flow. It’s quite interesting really, how well  they go together even when they’re so different in a lot of things.

Namjoon would take little stops and just look at the kids and see how they’re doing with the decorating. Once again, Namjoon meets his end with their cuteness. Focused on their decorating, Nari and Hyejun exhibit different emotions when working. Nari furrows her brows cutely and her lips puckering a little while Hyejun sticks out a little bit of his tongue out — it’s literally the cutest thing and Namjoon is just so absolutely endeared.

“Look at the little ones, they’re so cute when they’re focused,” Namjoon nudges Seokjin and the other man stops what he is doing and looks at the little ones in front of them. He lets out a little giggle, also finding the two so cute and absolutely endearing.

“Nari looks a bit like you when you’re focused, Joonie. It’s really adorable.”

“Our little man Hyejun looks so cute with his tongue out. How can they be this cute?”

“Because they’re mine, of course. I’m the cutest one, don’t you know? Who do you think they got it from?”

“Jinnie, baby, they’re adopted.”

Namjoon laughs while Seokjin rolls his eyes, “ I know that, you dork. I still stand by it though, I’m the cutest one and they got it from me,”

“Of course love, whatever you say.”

They spent a good hour or so decorating their own christmas cookie. As Seokjin baked two full trays, there were definitely still a lot of cookies to go through but it can wait for another time. Nari and Hyejun enjoyed it though and for Namjoon and Seokjin - that’s all that matters anyways.

“Should we taste our cookies now?”

Nari and Hyejun look at Joon with such scandalous stares as if he's committed something bad. Nari speaks up for the matter, “Why are you going to eat what you worked so hard on?” and Joon just laughs. What they do eat though is the other cookies that weren’t really the best for decorating instead.  As Namjoon is such a suckerr for his little ones, they definitely do get away with a lot more things and Seokjin has to remind him,

“It’s getting late, Joon! They won’t sleep if they have sugar now.”

Okay maybe it was nearing their bedtime but Nari and Hyejun had to just ask if they can have chocolate and watch a movie with their cute little puppy eyes. Besides, it’s the holidays - can’t they just have it just for tonight. Namjoon tells his husband as such, including his best pout that he knows Seokjin can’t resist either.

“Fine! Fine , but they have to  already be in their jammies. I have a feeling these two will knock out soon anyways.” Getting the go from his husband, Namjoon dashes away to tell the kids as such and gets them into their pj’s for the night. Seokjin hears Nari and Hyejun from the kitchen, also very much excited like their father is.

Seokjin shakes his head, but there’s definitely a smile on his face.

~

Cozied up on the couch and with their warm cup of hot chocolate, the family snuggles in closer with each other as the The Polar Express plays on the tv. The Christmas tree in the corner next to it shines and twinkles beautifully as the familiar christmas tunes of the Polar Express play out. It’s a bit of a tradition of theirs to play this movie at least once during the holiday - and okay, maybe it’s Namjoon’s favorite christmas movie (sue him, it’s a classic).

By the middle of the movie,  Nari and Hyejun become sleepy just as Seokjin predicted. He takes their cups and puts them on the coffee table in front of them before each parent snuggle as close as possible with their babies. It didn’t take too long before they were both down for the night. Nari had tried to  hold out though as much as she could but eventually gave into the woes of sleep. Namjoon and Seokjin had waited until they were both sure that they were deep into their own dreamland before taking them to their beds.

“They’re such angels when they’re asleep but when they’re awake....” Seokjin whispers, gently sweeping the hair that’s coming onto Hyejun’s face. Namjoon snickers lightly next to him, carefully trying to not wake up the little girl sleeping on his chest. “They’re not that bad, you know. Maybe with you, yeah”

“Wow, you’re just gonna throw me under the bus like that? My own husband?”

Namjoon laughs, low and deep and it jostles Nari a bit but she doesn’t seem to wake up from it. She only moves slightly, turning her head on his chest from the right side to the other. “I think they’ve been just ansty lately because I’m not here..at least more than I used to be. Sorry love.”

“It’s okay, you’ve been busy at the company and besides, I think they like it best when we are both home anyways. I do too. I’ve also been busy so don’t carry the burden by yourself. At least starting  tomorrow, we’re both on holiday breaks, so ” Seokjin sighs, turning his head and looks at his husband, giving him an assuring smile. Namjoon nods, showing him the same smile. The kids are now deep into sleep but they don’t want to move them just yet and want to take in this moment a little longer.

The house was much quieter now.

The TV is turned off, the kids are in their beds and Seokjin decided to light up a candle. It wasn’t that late in the night (it was only about ten pm) but usually by now, they would also call it a night. Namjoon jokes sometimes  that they’re getting too old to be staying up late and Seokjin would just retaliate with, “Yah! Who are you calling old?” . It’s all good though, because they’d just burst into laughter.

Tonight wasn’t one of those nights.

Unpromptedly, Namjoon decided that they should have a date night at home when they had put the kids down. It’s been in the back of his mind really, ever since Seokjin mentioned how busy they’ve been. Not only does it take a toll on the kids but sometimes, it does too for them. So, after making sure the kids were good, Namjoon had brought it up.

“We don’t have anything special here, Joon.”

“We have wine and besides, I have you. I don’t need anything else.”

So that’s how they’re back on the couch, cradling their own glass of wine this time. Seokjin’s feet on Joon’s lap and they’re mindlessly talking about anything and everything.  Joon would talk about his day, then get distracted with some philosophical idea, and all the while Seokjin would just look at him ramble with this look on his own face  -- like he’s so foolishly in love (god damn it, who is he kidding, he already is)  and then they would take turns.

It really goes unnoticed just how fast they go through the bottle of wine and while they both have good tolerance to alcohol, they both feel a little more tipsy than usual (Seokjin more than Joon). Maybe because it’s kind of rare now especially with the kids but they both indulge themselves this time. The Christmas tree continues to twinkle and as it does so,  Namjoon hums out a tune of some christmas song, taking sips from his glass.

It got quiet again until Seokjin breaks it,

“I miss you. I missed this. This is nice, Joonie.”

He’s a little flush red now, it’s cute really and Joon just looks at him with the same look - all with love and fondness. “We should do this more often, let the kids go to sleep earlier so we can do this again.” Seokjin just laughs at that. He takes his feet off of Joon's lap and just like liquid courage, he takes one last sip of his wine and does something that gets Namjoon a bit off guard.

It happened all too quickly honestly — one moment Namjoon’s just there sitting and the next, he’s wiping down the couch as best to get rid of the wine he just spilled.  Not to mention, he too also has a stain on him and it’s drying on him but there’s other pressing matters — the damn couch. Okay, so maybe Seokjin had just wanted to make out with his husband and maybe he wanted to do that on Joon’s lap and maybe he didn’t take into fact that his husband was very much holding onto a glass of wine that could be spilled.  But hey , he was feeling all sorts of warmth from the wine, and he is a little tipsy from it so, it may have ended a little differently.

“I try to  do one thing and we’re doing this instead.” Seokjin mumbles, there’s a pout on his lips, helping  Joon with cleaning the couch as best as possible especially since it’s late and he really didn’t want to bring out the cleaning supplies.  Next to him, Namjoon lets out a laugh and soon enough, Seokjin follows him.

“What were you even  trying to do? Hyung , are you drunk?”

Namjoon hasn’t called Seokjin that name in years and it just slipped out and honestly, it's not even a big of a deal but he does get reminded though.  Just all those times when they first started dating — still figuring their ways with each other and it wasn’t all that perfect but it was them .

“ God , I don’t even know. I just wanted to sit on your lap and maybe kiss you silly but, whatever.” Seokjin sighs, Namjoon stops what he is doing and looks at his husband. There’s that silly look on his face again — the “god I love you so much” look and it was all  for Seokjin. A smile creeps on his face and it didn’t take long before he notices it, “What?”

“Nothing, just wanted to look at you is all.”

“Joon, we’re literally trying to clean up this wine as much as possible and you’re looking at me. Priorities please”

Namjoon doesn’t say anything more, still smiling from ear to ear while Seokjin just leaves him be and continues what he is doing. It took a moment for Namjoon to get out of his reverie and eventually, soon enough, the wine came off of the couch although it definitely needs a deep clean now. It’s not like it was noticeable anyways but who wants wine stains regardless?

After putting everything away— , the wine glasses, the wine (the culprit really and all the paper towels they used, the two sit back down on the couch. It’s quiet once again but it doesn't last long before Seokjin bursts into laughter, “Oh my god, you also have wine on you.”

Namjoon pulls at his shirt, looks down at the stain and shrugs, “oh this? It’s not that bad, honestly.”

Seokjin chortles a bit, “Babe, that’s gonna be a bitch to take out.”

“ Language , but what if I just don’t wash it and just throw it away?”

Seokjin just rolls his eyes, “Oh please, yeah right.”

Silence settles in again, this time though, Namjoon finds Seokjin’s fingers and links them together. He brings it up to his lips, giving Seokjin’s knuckles a chaste kiss.”I love you,”

“What’s with the sudden,  I love you ?”

“Aren’t you going to say it back to me?”

“Maybe, it depends.”

“Fine, no kisses for you then.”

Seokjin dramatically gasps, “Wait no! I love you too. Now where’s my kisses?”

Namjoon chuckles, “You’re so easy to sway babe.”

“Excuse you, weren’t you the one who was having a hard time getting me to say yes to a date with you?”

“Okay but for the record, you were being stubborn.”

Seokjin gives a little grunt, before he moves on over and is finally on his husband’s lap. This should’ve been what they were doing already but you know. Things… .happened. Namjoon does get taken by surprise by this though, not really expecting to be straddling him like this but whatever, you take what you can.

“This was I was trying to do earlier but, things just escalated the wrong way and I just,”

Before Seokjin could even finish his sentence, Namjoon pulled him closer by the waist and let his lips touch the very soft pillowy ones of Seokjin. The other yelps but soon enough, figures out his way and just gives in.

“I love you but please stop talking and just kiss me silly like you’ve been wanting to,” Namjoon manages to say. The kiss all in all stops because Seokjin pulls away and just looks at him. It’s a soft kind of stare and Namjoon wasn’t  sure what it really meant but he smiled anyways. It didn’t take long before he had a full face of Seokjin again and just like he had said, he got to kiss him silly.

It was a perfect way to the end the night.

Christmas for Namjoon has always been his favorite time of the year.

One of his earliest memories of the occasion always makes him laugh. Even more so now, as an adult and a father of two, Namjoon definitely sees either of them following in his footsteps. It had been back when he was at least six or seven and for this particular Christmas, his parents had decided to get out of the city of Ilsan and go somewhere much quieter to celebrate the holiday.

So they did and as the eve of Christmas ends and draws into Christmas morning — Namjoon might have a little bit of tantrum when he’d realized that Santa wasn’t going to give him a present because they weren’t home.

“We have to drive back, Santa won’t know I’m here and then he won’t give me presents!” Little Joon pouts, begs his parents to go back home even though it was snowing quite heavily.

His parents tried their best to convince him that Santa does know like how he knows who’s on the nice and naughty list.  It just grew into him crying but his parents have figured out a way to convince the little boy that indeed Santa will come even if they aren’t home.

“Don’t you know, Namjoonie? Santa knows everything and he won’t be happy to know you are crying when he drops off the gift. You’re a good boy, right? It doesn’t matter where we are, Santa just knows, sweetheart. So don’t cry anymore, okay? When you wake up tomorrow, just wait and see, there’ll be a special gift for you underneath the tree just for you.”

That seemed to have calmed Joon down and eventually went to sleep. Come Christmas morning, there was indeed a special gift from Santa for little Joonie and he was very much thrilled about it.

Now as an adult though,  he’s very much aware that Santa isn’t real but at the time, just like every child, Santa is pretty much the epitome of this whole holiday. And maybe okay, Christmas is full of smooching capitalism but there’s  also a lot of other reasons why this season and time is his favorite of all.

For those exact same  reasons that he has, Namjoon wants to carry on that same love for the holiday down to Nari and Hyejun. It also helps that he has found someone who loves the holiday season all the same so it makes it a bit easier to show just how strong the Christmas spirit runs in the family.

Seokjin, who Namjoon likes to call, his very own Christmas miracle. Though, that’s another story for another time.

Christmas is just around the corner now. The countdown is just a handful count away and ever since being on break with the kids, Namjoon and Seokjin have made it a priority to spend as much time as they can together with their littles, doing whatever Christmas related or not activity there is.

Today’s just like all the other days before, Christmas tunes are loudly playing throughout their whole home and for today’s activity, Nari and Hyejun will be partaking in their first making of a gingerbread house. Namjoon has been absolutely delighted with each activity they have been doing and he’s even more happy that they’re doing things together as a family.

The kitchen has seemed to be the center of all their activities this year and this time around, it’s nothing different. Making a gingerbread house is fairly easy especially since everything comes with the kit and so, to spice it up a little for the kids, they were going to decorate it with a parent of their choice and they have to do it in a timely manner.  Whoever gets to finish first and looks the most decent, they will get to pick the movie they get to watch and be able to stay up late (though really, whoever will get to win, the other will join too) .

Of course, Nari and Hyejun have already decided who they wanted to be paired up with and it came to no surprise that Nari wanted to with Joon (she’s such a daddy’s girl) and Hyejun with Seokjin (he was practically attached to his hip). At least that was easy to sort out and when the time came to finally decorate their gingerbread house, that’s when it started to get a little rocky for the babies.

“Let’s share nicely, okay sweethearts?  There’s a lot to go around for everyone.” Seokjin reprimands after one too many times of the kids trying to keep one of the candies to themselves and before it could escalate to anything bigger, Seokjin had to put his foot down. After that little moment, Nari and Hyejun were starting to be nicer with each other and shared their things.

As the time continued to slip away from their hands, it came to a close call on who was going to win their little gingerbread competition. Just right as Alexa called the time, it was eventually Namjoon and Nari who had won. Hyejun didn’t complain too much at the thought of his sister winning, saying, “ it’s okay, noona chooses the best movies anyways.”

Needless to say, that might have really melted Joon and Jin’s hearts. They were great kids really and Joon and Seokjin were very much grateful and happy that they were the ones to be raising them and calling them their parents — their Papa and Daddy.

~

Recently, it’s been their thing now to end the night watching a movie together on the couch. It’s complete with all the fluffy blankets and snacks (the choice for today had been  popcorn) and since Nari gets to choose the movie tonight, the movie she got to pick was The Grinch .  Seokjin would usually prefer it to be the live version  -- “ the live version is literally epic, it’s a masterpiece !”  but because the kids are still a bit scared of seeing people look like that, the recent animation for it would do just fine and Seokjin just has to suck it up.

And so, just like the night before and every night before that, underneath all the blankets, the family is  all cozied up together  as the title sequence of the movie plays out. Namjoon comes back to the living room with the freshly microwave oven and takes the empty space next to Nari.

The kids absolutely enjoyed watching the film and eating the popcorn. Usually, either by the middle of it though, Hyejun would have already fallen asleep and Nari would follow right after though usually more towards the end. But because of their  treat of getting to stay up a little longer than usual tonight, the little ones were definitely trying to fight it.

“I know that Papa and I said that you can stay up but if you’re sleepy, it’s okay bud.” Namjoon says softly, noticing how Hyejun was dozing off — his eyes already drooping and little lips forming a permanent pout ( a tell tale sign that he’s going to be a little grumpy if he doesn’t sleep soon).

But Hyejun was insistent on staying up and had just said, “ No daddy, I’m going to stay up.”

Namjoon nor Seokjin didn’t say anything else and just let the boy be. By the time the movie reached the part where they were singing, “ Where are you Christmas” , sure enough Hyejun had already been cutely snoring as he was all cuddled up next to Seokjin. Nari was still fighting her sleep, and it was only a matter of time before she also gave in to sleep.

“How did you like the movie, baby?” Namjoon asks, the end credits are now rolling up on the screen and surprisingly, Nari has made it to the end. The little girl in response had given him a smile, “It was great! I liked it very much.”

Namjoon smiles back at her, “Good, I’m glad you liked it, bub.”

Seokjin then returns back to the living room after putting Hyejun down on his bed , before plopping down on the  space next to her. “I’m kind of surprised, you’re still awake, Nari bug. You’re usually the next to follow after your brother. You really want to stay up with the cool kids, huh?”

Namjoon just rolled his eyes while Nari was giggling, “you’re not kids, Papa.”

“Yes  but, aren’t we cool? Right Joonie?”

“ Right , sure, we are.”

Nari giggles some more while Seokjin pouts.

It takes another movie for Nari to really give into the temptation of sleep and by then, it was already eleven in the evening. The movie they had put on was (surprisingly) not another Christmas movie but just any other movie that Nari had requested. Towards the end of it, Nari had been gone like a light, little mouth open a bit and it was taking everything in Namjoon and Seokjin to not laugh so loud at the cuteness .

“You seriously still  don’t think they take after us, Joonie?”

Namjoon outwardly laughs at that, “Nope, they’re one hundred percent our kids.”

Christmas morning arrives at the Kim family residence relatively quiet….well almost .

It’s quiet in the fact that the kids weren’t up yet, still very much deep into their dreamland and dreaming whatever kids would  dream about. They still haven’t woken up and seen that there’s snow falling outside their windows and come rushing to open  their parent’s room to tell them about it  or going to check underneath the Christmas tree and see to see if Santa has dropped by and left their presents underneath it. Nari and Hyejun were very much unaware of all this still and because of that, Namjoon and Seokjin take a bit of an indulgence in that sweet quietness of a usually loud morning.

You see, they weren’t supposed to be doing this  — they shouldn’t be doing this.

Not when at any given moment, the pitter patter of small feet would stop in front of their door and those very same small hands would knock especially now, considering that it’s Christmas morning and little ones could come barging in at any moment.. It would disrupt the whole thing and they can’t afford that — because damn it, it’s freaking Christmas and Namjoon and Seokjin deserve to be indulged in their guilty pleasure without any distraction.

So, at the rise of dawn, when the sun has yet to fully come up above the horizon, Namjoon and Seokjin get down to it. A moment wasted is a moment they can't get back and with the impending time they have until the little ones wake up, they have to act fast while still taking their time.

The sound of soft and quiet moans ring through their ears as the smell of sex penetrate through the noses do Namjoon and Seokjin really feel the Christmas joy (at least for them as just them and not as parents).  If they were to be completely honest, it felt like only at every fucking blue moon can they do this without worrying about whether they’re too loud or if ever Nari and Hyejun will come knocking at their door, asking to be let in because they had a nightmare and wanted to sleep with them.

“Why’d you stop? Namjoon-ah, please, fucking move , damn it! We don’t have time for crying out loud.”

Namjoon lets out a sound between a grunt and a laugh to only say, “wanted to appreciate your beauty just for sec”

Before Seokjin could even relitate with something sassy, in the next second, Namjoon starts to move again and with  the deeper and faster he thrusts into him, all of that fades into the back of his mind  and it takes everything in Seokjin to not scream. Instead, those sounds he very much desperately wants to let out, gets stuck between his throat and comes out muffled.

“Come on baby, just let it out. I know you want to, no one’s gonna hear you, I’ll be the only one.”

Even if Namjoon does say that especially in that incredibly sexy deep voice, Seokjin knows he just can’t. It’s kind of ingrained in him especially now as a parent that sexy times can’t be really the same when the kids are down the hall. But fuck it, it’s Christmas and Seokjin is going to give himself a treat because he deserves it and god , he really does want to let it all out.

To compromise and just like what his husband had said, he’ll be the only to hear it so Seokjin does what he can do for Namjoon to only hear it. He begins to lift himself up and wrap his arms around Joon’s neck, all the while the other is very much thrusting into him.

Just right below Namjoon’s ear and with every movement that Namjoon does, Seokjin lets out all the sounds he’d been dying to do. It didn’t take too long before he was withering underneath his husband’s touch,

“Joon-ah, fuck, fuck , I’m close, can I? “ Seokjin manages to get out, his breath heavy, he’s honestly not even thinking straight any more. Head filled with nothing but wanting to cum and just Namjoon for heaven’s sake.

Namjoon grunts, “Go ahead baby, come for me.”

So Seokjin does, and following him right, Joon also fills him up and they both feel so incredibly warm.

Namjoon lays Seokjin back down on the bed gently, and pulls out eventually. He gets out of bed momentarily to head into the bathroom and get a clean wet cloth, before coming back into the room and cleaning Seokjin up. Once that was done, he gets back into the bed and lets Seokjin cling onto him, before pressing a kiss on the top of his head,

“Merry Christmas, baby.”

When the sun finally came up, it had been no surprise that Nari and Hyejun were already at their door, knocking frantically to be let in. Namjoon and Seokjin were honestly expecting this already but because of their... activities last night, getting up and answering the door seems to be taking a lot more will power.

Seokjin groans as  he nudges at his husband,  “Namjoon-ah, go answer the door.”

The knocking doesn’t stop, it only seems to get louder. Namjoon still hasn’t moved from his position and he would very much like to stay that way but when his husband starts nudging him again, he opens his eyes blearily, adjusting to the new brightness that was filtering inside their room and eventually gets out of bed in his half-asleep state.

He opens the door and before he can say any words, two little bodies run past him and immediately go on their bed. Nari and Hyejun start to jump and say in a sing-song voice to their ( half ) asleep father on the bed, “It’s Christmas! It's Christmas! ”

When Namjoon comes  back to bed, he takes the little ones by their waist, and pulls them down along with him on the bed. Nari and Hyejun burst into a fit of laughter that’s so contagious that Namjoon laughs along with them. They had then begun to cuddle up to Seokjin who had been buried underneath the sheets and were in pursuit of trying to wake him up.

“Papa! Papa! Wake up, wake up,  it’s Christmas!”

“You have to get up now ! There are presents waiting and Santa might have already come!”

Seokjin decided to give in eventually. As a sort of revenge though (not really but, sure), Seokjin attacks his little ones with kisses before Namjoon joins in and tickles them instead.

Nari and Hyejun’s laughs and giggles began to fill up the room and just like the ray of sunshines that they are, it brought the warmth that the sun couldn’t give this morning as the snowfall came heavily down outside.

Namjoon takes the moment to look at his family, all of which were happily smiling and laughing. He smiled to himself, as he thought of how truly lucky he is to have this, today and everyday beyond that.

Christmas couldn’t have started any  better than this.
