"No! Say it ain't so!" Seokjin drops his fishing bag onto the floor with a huff as he speaks to Yoongi over the phone.

He and Yoongi had planned a day of fishing but it sounded like Yoongi won't be able to make it.

Seokjin looks disappointed, pouting, but as he listens, he becomes alarmed. "Oh no, poor Holly. Yoongi, take care of him. And I really hope he feels better quickly! We'll reschedule, no problem."

He says his farewells before hanging up. He slumps in his chair at the dinner table. You set a hot steaming cup of tea in front of his pouty self.

"What happened seokjinnie?"

Seokjin sighs, whispering a thank you. "Holly isn't feeling very well. Yoongi thinks it's an upset stomach. He needs to take him to the vet today to see what's wrong. He won't be able to join me today, it seems."

You sit down next to him. The early rays of sunshine start to creep over the mountains in the distance. You loved sleeping in but you've learned to appreciate watching the sunrise once in a while.

And today is one of those days--makes you feel refreshed and ready for the rest of the day. You look down at Seokjin when he leans down and hugs your torso, putting his ear on your stomach. "How's my little trooper this morning?"

You brush your fingers through his hair, smiling gently at him. "Or troop-ess! We don't know yet!" You giggle when he tickles your side.

"What about Jungkook? He would love to join you!"

He sighs again, slumping even lower in his seat. "He's got a final exam today. Can't."

"On a Saturday? That's brutal…" You pout, before sipping your tea. "How about Namjoon?"

"Already had plans."

"Well…" You shrug and smile cheekily at him. "I'm free and I'm already awake. "

He shakes his head curtly. "No."

You blink. "What? Why not?"

"You are with child and you need to stay here, where it's safe." He nods, leaving no room for a discussion. "What if you fall into the water? Get hurt? I wouldn't forgive myself."

You pout as you look at him, leaning forward. "I'll wear my life jacket. I'll be super careful. Darling, I know how much you wanted to go fishing today. Besides, being cooped up inside doesn't sound fun right now. Come on…" You stand up and pull Seokjin to his feet before hugging his torso and laying your head on his chest, looking up at him with your trademark pleading eyes. "Let's go. It'll be fun!"

He looks at you with a raised eyebrow, still unsure. "Blossom, are you sure? I don't want you getting hurt and I also clearly remember you said you'd never go fishing again. Not after the last time…"

You look at your hand where a strange fish with insane teeth had bitten you. The 1-inch diameter scar was still there, proof that you had a legitimate excuse to be afraid to go again. But after watching a few fishing YouTube videos with Seokjin, your fear turned to curiosity again. "It's been nearly three years now. I think I'm over my fear of fishing? Besides! I don't want you feeling glum. I'll go with you. Please?"

Seokjin smiles fondly at you before surging forward and kisses you. "Alright, pack your things! We're going fishing! It won't get any betta than this!"

The pun completely went over your head but you can hear Seokjin quietly snickering behind you as you walk away. You quickly start packing, the lunch you had prepared for Seokjin and Yoongi will now be for you and your husband. Then you start giggling when you get his pun. "Jinnie, please don't tell me you have fish puns prepared." You yell from the bedroom.

"An endless supply of fish puns!"

"Seokjin. Don't you dare!"

He shrugs, a sly smile daring to lift the corner of his lip. "Whatever do you mean, my love? I'd never cause a turtle disaster! "

You return your foot onto the dock with a stomp, glaring at him with a pout, but your lips curve in a small small. "Turtle isn't isn't even a fish! And you're pulling the boat away on purpose! I might fall in!"

"Okay, okay! I'll stop." He laughs and steadies the boat. "Ready." He holds out a hand for you, his other on the dock, to help you step onto the boat.

You tighten the straps of your life-jacket, glaring suspiciously at him. He laughs and gestures for you to get in. "Hon, come on! You really think I'd let you two fall in the water?"

You put your hands on your hips. "You tell me."

He looks out at the stretch of the lake, then puts his pinky in his mouth, before holding it up, testing the air. "Temperature about 30 degrees celsius, low wind activity… looks nice for a swim. It would be fintastic."

You take a step back, shrugging. "That's it. Come on fetus, let's bounce."

Seokjin lays onto the dock, his feet on the boat and starts to reach for you. "Noooo! I'm kidding! Baby, come back! You can blame it all on me~."

Rolling your eyes, you take his offered hand, sitting on the dock before scooting onto the boat-balancing on it was a little tougher than you remembered. Once both feet are in, you nearly trip. You would've fallen if Seokjin wasn't right there to catch you.

He grins down at you, kissing your temple. "See? There's no way you're falling under my supervision."

Carefully, you sit down on the small seat. "Why does it sound like you're babysitting me?"

He unties the rope that keeps the boat docked. "Because I am. You have a baby." He sits down and starts to row. "I am sitting." He then points to you and to himself. "Baby. Sitting."

Grinning, you lean forward, letting your fingers touch the water, making Seokjin panic. "Be careful! Baby, please."

You giggle and flick water at him. "Jinnie, stop being so worried! I'm fine. And even if I do fall in, I have a life-jacket for a reason, I know how to swim too. But thank cod you're here with me."

You pick up the bucket hat you brought and place it on your head, smiling cutely at him to ease his worries. He slowly starts to giggle at your pun.

This is your first child together and he'll do anything to protect you both. So it doesn't really bother you that he's overprotective. On the contrary, it makes you feel safe.

It was a couple hours later, when only one fish was caught when you asked: "Hey, do you think there's river monsters here?" You keep your eyes in the murky waters, not able to see anything.

"Any fin is possible."

You grab his arm, eyes wide. "Don't play! What if there really are monsters in there! Nessy? The Loch Ness monster exists! What if I fall in, something catches my leg and I'm being dragged deeper and deeper into the darkness and you never see me again?!"

"The Loch Ness monster is from Scotland-"

"That's not the point!"

Seokjin starts to laugh at your absurd concerns of an underwater reptile living in this lake. So much he doesn't notice the boat approaching an embankment until the boat crashes into it, making you fall forward but you catch yourself on the edge of the boat.

But you watch as Seokjin yelps and he falls backwards, legs flapping in the air, the force driving him out of the boat and into the water with a loud splash.

You were cackling, snorting in between. Seokjin gasps when he lifts his head out of the water, mouth gasping for air and hair covering his eyes. He was opening and closing his mouth like a fish.

It makes you laugh even more, you couldn't take it. "You fell! You FELL! Salmon, call a doctor! I'm kraken up! OH NO!" The fish that was caught manages to jump back into the water. "He escaped!"

You continue to giggle when Seokjin brushes his wet hair back, revealing his phenomenal forehead and sexy eyebrows that were often obscured by his straight hair.

And it was certainly a treat to behold but his laughing made you laugh even more.

You reach out to pull Seokjin by the shoulder of his life-jacket. "Baby, are you okay? You didn't have your phone in your pocket… Right?"

He looks at you bewildered. "Yah! I almost drowned and you're worried about my phone?"

With intermittent giggles and smiles, you look at him softly. "Did you hear me? The fish got away…"

He runs a hand down his face but you weren't sure if he was really irritated or still joking. "I'm sorry…Come back in. You'll get a cold."

Seokjin sighs then chuckles. "What are you sorry about? Fishing is all about the experience and spending time with a person you care about. And today I did that. With my family. So what if my phone is currently malfunctioning and we have no fresh fish for dinner? I have you and that's all that matters. Fish markets exist for a reason."

You grab his collar, surging forward to plant a big kiss on his lips, the taste of fresh lake water new on your lips and welcome. Suddenly, you feel his hands on your waist, gripping tight as if he's about to pick you up. You open your eyes to see him smirking, a mischievous grin on his lips. You look at him suspiciously.

"Jinnie…as much as I love your hands on me… What are you doing?"

He starts to pick you up, laughing evilly. You start to shriek when his plan was to join him in the water. "No, no! SeokJINNNNNNN!"

He starts to cackle and returns you to your seat before throwing himself backwards, floating on his back as he keeps laughing. Your heart rate starts to slow down.

His eyes were closed as he continued to float, settled in relaxing in the water now, so you quietly pick up an ore and start to row yourself farther, trying your best not to disturb the water around him. You laugh silently as you keep moving away.

You could've made it farther if it weren't for bees and other insects that start to fly around making you scream. Seokjin looks up, momentarily panics, a cold shiver invading his body when he doesn't spot you. But catches sight of you flailing your arms around.

He swims towards the boat with a smirk until he reaches you and grabs your side. "Boo!"

You jump and scream in fright.

He just keeps laughing. "This is the best day ever."

Laughing with him, you spray water at him. "Okay, okay… Babe, I'm getting hungry and it looks like it's lunch time. Let's take a break?"

Seokjin wades through the water, nodding. "Of course, can you row the boat towards the dock? It's not that far but I can try and climb in but I don't wanna risk tipping the boat."

"I can row it. Race ya!" You row at a snail's pace, quickly exchanging the oar to each side of the boat as you row as fast as you could. But being that Seokjin was part of the swim team in highschool AND college, he beats you to the docks in no time. It wasn't that far so you arrived a minute later, arms resembling noodles and aching.

He pulls himself onto the dock, flicking his hair out of his eyes, looking so hot and picturesque like an anime character straight from 'Free!'

"Oh, my God."

He stands up to his full height and takes off his life jacket, glancing at you. "What's up?"

You unabashedly stare at his form, the black t-shirt sticking to his chest, teasing you despite you knowing very well what's under. "Oh, um…" You lay your chin on your hand, elbow propped on your knee, making heart eyes at him. "Just enjoying the view. Of my sexy and handsome husband. That's all." You wink at him and send him a flirty kiss.

Seokjin smiles, chuckles shyly as his hand tries to cover his torso. "Stop it." Then he sends you a flying kiss to which you catch with a cheeky smile.

He pulls the boat up to the dock, tying it down before reaching for you, helping you up onto the dock. Then you pull him closer, hands roaming his arms, sneaky fingers crawling towards the hem of his shirt. "Such a strong man I have."

Seokjin fidgets, trying to evade your wandering fingers. "That tickles! Babe, what's up with you? Why are you so flirty?"

You shrug while gripping his wet shirt, eyes sparkling and lips in a grin. "Do I really need a reason to be flirty with my husband, hmm? Can't I just tell you how good you look right now?" You release your grip to slide your hands up against his lithe torso and broad chest to rest your forearms on his shoulders, giving him a challenging look. "It's your fault. How are you so sexy? You're driving me crazy. Take responsibility."

Seokjin's ears were turning rosy as he grins down at you, slowly shaking his head. Wordlessly, he cups your cheek, his thumb caressing the apple of your cheek while his other grips your waist. His face was dangerously close to yours, noses barely touching.

He leans forward and kisses your neck before whispering, his voice low and husky in your ear. "I will. Later." He pulls back, kissing your forehead. "But now I'm starving! Let's go. I bet the baby is hungry too. Plus, I need to change from these wet clothes."

Pouting, you let him hold your hand as he picks up the fishing equipment with his other hand. "Psshh…cruel man."

He laughs and hugs you close, his hand rubbing the side of your small bump of your stomach. "Momma's gotta eat! Didn't you say you were hungry earlier?"

Sighing, you nod. "Yeah, I only ate nurungji for breakfast. Guess what I made?"

"Something good I bet. Whatever it is, I'll eat well"

Giggling, you wrap an arm around his waist "You eat anything I make. Bibimbap and grill cheese sandwiches! Plus a little dessert."

Seokjin gasps. "Really?"

"It's me! I'm the dessert!" You cup your cheek and smile cutely at Seokjin who starts to laugh.

"Oh! The sweetest dessert ever! I'll take my time so I can enjoy it for the rest of my life." He smiles fondly, his eyes dripping with how much he absolutely adores you.
