THE FIRST INCIDENT WAS in Qing-qing City. An extraordinary child was born, whom radiated light.
After that reports of people with superpowers popped up across the globe. No one has a clue what was causing these quirks.
But before long the supernatural became the totally normal. Dreams a reality. The world became a superhuman society. With about 80% of the population possessing some uncanny ability.
It was an age of heroes.
With the rise of superpowers also came an influx in criminal activities. While governments were stuck figuring out how to reform laws with quirks in mind.
Courageous people started performing heroic acts to keep our cities safe. Protecting us against villains whom abused their powers for evil, with overwhelming public support, heroes found their place as official peacekeepers, overseen by the government.
Those who performed the best got paid the most and got all the fame and glory. Their careers depended on their ability to stay in the spotlight.
With more generations coming along. Measurements were taken to keep the villains at bay and make sure heroes will persevere. The government crafted schools that were made to craft and nurture what we as a supernatural society might need.
Categorising its youngsters into four:
Department of Heroes, where students learn everything they need to know to become excellent heroes in service of the community and work towards the qualifications necessary to be allowed to use their quirks in public spaces.
General Education, students who didn’t make the cut for the hero department are included in this department. It boasts a top-notch education with an eclectic lineup of teachers. The department of general education supports students aiming for college and other pursuits.
Support, students in this department focus on developing support equipment that helps heroes out on the battlefield.
And Management, this department focuses on all aspects of heroic business, from founding and managing hero agencies to executive producing heroes.
Of course, there is not just one school that does this. There are many. But only one can be on top: UA High School, U.A. is the number one ranked high school for heroics and is considered the top Hero Academy in Japan.
And I’m going there.
