Making the perfect bouquet to give someone as a gift can be quite a challenge, Jungkook and Jimin have been in the florist market for years, yet sometimes they need a little help selecting flowers.
That is the case today, their little flower shop had been taking orders for Christmas arrangements all month long, but a few days after Christmas and a few days before New Year’s Eve there weren't many orders, so when first thing in the morning a special request arrived, they were beyond excited to get to work on it.
the request that came in the form of a mystery mail:

"I'm looking for a bouquet of flowers, I have heard that this flower shop specializes in Floriography , so I would like something that represents admiration, endurance, warmth and that transmits joy and happiness .
I would appreciate if you could include a card with the recipient: Portent
Thank you very much, I'm looking forward to the result "

The request was simple, right?
Well, after thinking about it for almost half an hour, Jimin is not so sure. To express admiration he could use camellias, pink roses or even pink carnations, however none of these options convince him.
Walking around the shelves of fresh flowers, he noticed some peculiar flowers, lilies to be exact, although there were different sizes and colors, the ones that caught his attention were those with a gradient that went from intense fuchsia to white snow, with small freckles that adorned the inside of its petals. He had the feeling that these flowers would be ideal to represent admiration and give a special touch to the bouquet.
Jimin was finishing selecting, arranging, and cutting the lilies, when his boyfriend arrived with a lot of freshly cut sunflowers. Jungkook loved sunflowers, in fact he used to joke that besides Jimin's eye smile, there was nothing more cheerful than sunflowers. Remembering these cheesy jokes, Jimin had the idea to include a sunflower or two to make the bouquet a little more cheerful and happy.
After adjusting the size of the sunflowers and making sure that their petals were smooth and firm and didn't have any loose seeds, the bouquet was taking some shape, but it was still missing something that represented endurance and warmth.
Jungkook suggested adding a few Zinnias, while Jimin found it more appropriate to include a few Eremurus spikes. None of these ideas stood out as the store's star employee - Fluffybum - with a cacophony of screeches and squeaks made it clear why cactus flowers were the missing piece of the bouquet. According to the orange fluff ball, these flowers represent affection, courage, warmth and above all - endurance - given the climatic conditions in which they usually grow.
Choosing the cactus that would complement the bouquet, now rather a flower arrangement, wasn't an easy thing, since these come in elongated tubular shapes, irregular bulbs, and even small semi-domes with whitish spines. Once they found the one that, in the eyes of the 3 florists, fit perfectly with the rest of the flowers, the flower arrangement was complete, a mixture of colors, textures and shapes, which together conveyed a special meaning.
Now they only needed to add the small craft paper card and it would be ready, a bouquet for a special person, a bouquet for portent.
