Kirishima knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long when he saw the way kaminari looked at shinso with so much interest that it hurt so bad. That night he cried so hard at the corner of his dorm room. His body was shaking with short intake of breath. He violently wiped off the tears that running down his cheeks and his cries was so ugly with the broken sobs. The overthinking swirled inside his head like supernova full with colours of purple, pink and green. He knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long.
Kirishima knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long when the yellow haired man stood him up at the amusement park for 3 hours before he called kirishima saying that he forgot their date after spending time with shinso. Kirishima pressed his lips into a thin line while reassuring the man that it’s okay even though he knew he’s not okay. It’s not fair how kirishima was looking forward to this date but kaminari just forgot it like it was nothing. He knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long.
Kirishima knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long when he had the biggest fight ever with kaminari. Kaminari accidentally called shinso baby in front of him and laughed when shinso rolled his eyes. Kirishima could not believe his ears because it took 3 months for kaminari to call him using the cute nicknames while it only took kaminari less than 2 weeks for him to call shinso baby. That night, kaminari shouted at kirishima with so much hatred lingering in his words. Calling out kirishima’s insecurities and leaving him speechless in his room. He knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long.
Kirishima knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long when he heard rumours about kaminari kissing shinso behind the school building. He remembered how confused he was at that time. Mina, sero and bakugou just looked at him with unreadable expressions while kirishima pupils were dilated with disbelief. He laughed so loud that his laugher sound so raw and painful. Then, he accused himself from the bakusquad to go to his only comfort zone. Bakugou tried to reach his right hand before it got slapped away. At that moment, he refused to accept any help because he already felt like a failure. He knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long.
Kirishima knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long when the rumours came true. He wanted to talk about whatever was happening between kaminari and the insomniac man so he went to the yellow haired man’s room but was greeted with the sight he wished he didn’t see. Kaminari was half naked, squirming under shinso’s body while the purple haired man was showering kaminari with kisses. Their bodies pressed so close that kirishima could barely see the gap between them. The worst part is, none of them noticed kirishima existence. Too deep with their own pleasure. He knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long.
Kirishima knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long when he cried so hard on bakugou’s arms while sero and mina looked at him with pity. Bakugou asked kirishima if he needed to knock some sense into kaminari empty’s head.
“ i- i don’t understand. I- i have done everything. I kissed him every time i had. I treat him so good like he was some type of treasure. I bought his favourite pikachu plushie. I bought him lunch everyday. EVERY-FUCKING-DAY! I give him my attention and love so tell me- tell me why the fuck am i still not enough. I- i love him. I love him so much but he doesn’t feel the same!”
His cries became worse when mina said they knew how much kirishima love the ungrateful idiot. That night, he slept in bakugou’s embrace with the swollen red eyes. He knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long.
Kirishima knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long when kaminari finally ended up their relationship with a cold face. Kaminari didn’t even say sorry for all of his mistakes but instead blaming kirishima for being too clingy, too much to handle and too insecure with everything. Kirishima didn’t cry but he felt betrayed with his lover or his now ex lover. It’s not like kirishima was the one who confessed and wanted to be in a relationship. It was kaminari. The one who should get hurt was kaminari and not him but that’s fine. He didn’t lose anything except new lesson and experience but he wished kaminari would tell him sooner that kirishima was not in his heart anymore. He knew his relationship with kaminari had reached the end.
Kirishima knew his relationship with kaminari would not last long, no, he knew his relationship with kaminari had reached the end when shinso and kaminari announced their relationship to their classmates. All of his classmates congratulated them except the bakusquad. They were the only people who knew the truth but they still smiled. Kirishima smiled through his pain while bakugou held his hand. Kirishima knew he will be okay with his friends by his side.
