Let's not meet like this again

Summary:

Chapter 1: I'm a little monster

Chapter Text

''It wasn't my fault! Let me the hell out.'' Yoongi groaned holding onto the bars.
''You started the fight and almost gave the guy permanent damage, how is it not your fault?'' The officer calmly asked as he was sitting on the chair next to his desk. He looked up when he didn't hear a response. All he saw is an angry face, but the arrested guy had such a cute button nose that it didn't seem threatening.
''I was pushed to the edge.'' He sat down on the floor where he was previously standing.
''It's just because you're drunk.''
''I'm not drunk, I'm just tipsy. I can handle my alcohol.''
''Well, this is not the first time I see you here, Mr. Min.''
''C'mon, officer Jung, let me go this time and you won't have to see me again. I'll stay out of trouble.'' He gave an innocent smile.
''You said that last time.''
''Sometimes I'm a little monster, so what. That's human nature.''
''Quit asking me to let you go, your brother should come bail you out any time now.'' Yoongi sighed and laid down on the cold cement floor. ''Lay down on the bed, you'll get a cold,'' The green-haired man sat back up.
Tell you what, officer Jung, since you're so cute, I'll do so if you give me your number.'' The officer laughed and Yoongi thought that it was a bright laugh, warm and not disrespectful. ''I'm serious, we've known each other for a while now.''
''Maybe next time.'' He said with a heart smile. That moment officer Kim entered the room with Yoongi's younger brother. ''Mr. Jeon, good evening. Namjoon, is everything good?''
''Yes, hyung, let him go.''
After he released Yoongi, the man thanked his brother for coming. ''I swear, hyung, this is the last time.'' Jeongguk looked at him seriously.
Yoongi rolled his eyes and then winked at officer Jung. ''See your pretty smile next time.''
''Hopefully not at the station.'' He answered.
Before Jeongguk started the car, he decided to talk. ''I know it's a rough patch, hyung, but you can't keep doing this. I want to be in your life so don't drive me away, please.''
Yoongi looked for a moment. ''I know you're disappointed, Jeongguk, but I won't end up there anymore. I think I had a breakthrough.''
''I hope so. Because dad won't be happy to hear it happened again.''
''Don't tell him, please.''
''You promise it won't happen again?''
''I promise.''
''Fine.''

Yoongi was sitting at a cafe, writing on his laptop with a cup of iced black coffee next to him. He took a long sip and got back to his business. What took him out of his concentration, was seeing a figure walking up to him. He looked up and smile. ''Officer Jung, what brings you here?''
''I like to come here on my days off.''
''Well it's nice to see you on these circumstances. Please, sit down.'' As the officer did that, Yoongi saved his file and closed his laptop and put it in his backpack.
''Were you working on something?''
''Yeah, I enjoy working at peaceful cafes such as this. Not many people come here, it's not far from my place. So I get to go out and get work done."
''I didn't mean to interrupt you-"
''It's okay, I was thinking of taking a break anyways.'' He looked down at his wristwatch. ''I've been here for almost four hours.''
''Wow, that's a long time. What do you do?''
''I'm writing a novel. It's my third one in the series. I think it might become a chronicle. I have a lot of ideas for it.''
''Ohhh, that's impressive. What kind of books are they?''
''Dark fantasy, y/a.''
''That's really cool. I'll have to check them out. Do you write under your real name?''
''Yes, I do.''
''I'll look for them, Mr. Min.''
''You can just call me Yoongi.''
''I'm Hoseok.''
They spent an hour or so talking to each other until Hoseok had to leave, but they promised to see each other again on similar circumstances.
