Work Text:

Run BTS, the game show on where the members play different games for the entertainment of themselves, the staff, and their armys.

It was always amazing, the only thing that wasn’t enjoyable, was the punishments for the loser.

They were never that cruel…

well…

let’s just say

the staff was very creative at coming up with punishments.

Sometimes they backfired, like when Jimin had to wear a shirt with his face on it at the airport, and he completely rocked it.

Currently, they were playing a “spot the difference” game, and Park Jimin was not very good at those.

He was positive that he was going to loose. The score was-

Namjoon - 20

Seokjin - 23

Yoongi- 21

Hoseok- 24

Taehyung- 26

Jungkook- 30….30!

And Jimin

10.

He. Was. Screwed.

The staff hadn’t even told them the punishment, but from the looks on their faces, it wasn’t good.

He’d survived worse, he’d be fine, right?

—————————————————————

Well

He lost

Not by as much, he was behind about 5 points, but he still lost, and that was about all that mattered.

His hyungs and dongsaengs were teasing him about his loss, while he was just keeping a straight face and waiting for the staff to tell him of his fate.

He was mad at himself for losing, he could've done better, could’ve worked harder-

He was broken out of his inter dialogue by the new intern announcing that they would pull Jimin out and give him the punishment.

Jimin nodded his head and went to follow to the area where he would be punished for his failure.

They’d walked into a small room, the cameras following them.

“You ready?” The intern asked.

Jimin nodded his head, he’d been a part of bangtan for a while now, he’d been used to the ritual.

But then, without warning, the intern got this look in his eyes that Jimin didn’t like at all, and then he brought his hand up, Jimin didn’t have time to react until

He slapped him in the face.

The loud clap sounded around the room, and then all of the cameras were turned off, the camera men realizing what just happened was against this intern’s contract.

Rule number one: No form of abuse against the members or any people associated with the Big Hit corporation.

The intern had just broken this rule harder than anyone has ever before.

The intern was wrestled away and security took him out, while Jimin found himself curled up against a wall, shaking and on the verge of a panic attack.

He put his hand up to his throbbing cheek and his eyes widened when he saw blood on his hand, the intern must’ve had a ring on his hand that cut him.

He saw a cameraman running to get his members, knowing that they would be able to help the most, none of them knew what to do as the young man was sitting on the ground, terrified.

—————————————————————

The members were taking a break, they were sitting on some chairs behind the camera and waiting until Jimin came back. This was a normal routine, this is what they’ve done before.

What was not normal, was for one of the camera men to come running out from the room they had taken Jimin in, seeing the panicked look on his face made all of the members get up from their chairs and asked him what happened all at the same time.

“The intern…. he-he slapped Jimin in the face for the punishment. He’s crying and hyperventilating, I think that the intern cut his cheek with his ring too.”

After they heard this, they could’ve sworn they’d never sprinted faster in their lives.

They all stopped in front of the door, and opened it slowly, so as to not scare Jimin further. The sight that had met them had broken every single piece of their heart.

Jimin was sitting in a corner of the room with his knees pulled up to his chest. His head was buried into his knees. One of arms was wrapped around his knees, his other hand cupping his cheek. His shoulders were heaving with his quick breathing.

The members looked at each other, they knew what to do for a panic attack. They all had specific ways that they could recover and get out of a panic attack, and they all had one person that could always get them out of it.

For Jimin, it was his Yoongi Hyung.

Yoongi immediately knew that he was needed and rushed over and sat on his knees beside his distressed dongsaeng.

“Jiminie? It’s me, it’s Yoongi Hyung, it’s okay, we’re gonna protect you, we’re not gonna let anyone touch you that you don’t want to.”

Jimin raised his head at the sound of his hyungs voice, there were silent tears running down his face. He still had a hand cupped around his right cheek, which worried the crap out of his hyungs and dongsaengs.

“Hey, can I touch you right now?”

Jimin shakily nodded his head and Yoongi wrapped one of his arms around Jimin’s shoulders and pulled him closer, pleased when Jimin didn’t flinch away from the touch.

All of the members had sat down around the walls too, knowing that Jimin wouldn’t want people towering around him.

Jimin’s tears had not escalated from silent, but his breaths had calmed down in the presence of his friends, of his family.

—————————————————————

Jimin calmed down pretty quickly, just by the presence of his brothers.

“Jimin-ah?”

“Mmh?”

“Can we see your cheek?”

Jimin complied and moved his hand away from his cheek, all of their breath caught in their throats when they saw that there was dried blood on his hand, and… for his cheek, there was about a centimeter cut and there was a bruise around it, his cheek red from the slap.

Namjoon hyung quickly got up to get a medic, he moved quickly but carefully so as to not scare Jimin.

He came back with a medic who carefully checked out his wound. She had to clean in, and Jimin winced as the alcohol seeped into the open cut, Yoongi squeezed his little hand.

She told the others that thankfully, he didn’t need stitches, but she still put some ointment on it and gave Seokjin some spare bandages and ointment to change it every other day.

After she finished, she had told the director that they would be finished with filming today, everyone had heard that sometime happened when they saw the intern getting dragged away by security, so they complied.

Yoongi squatted down in front of Jimin.

“How do you want to get to the car Jimin? Do you want us to carry you?”

Jimin shook his head as a no. “I can walk, just, can you guys be on other sides of me so nobody else can touch me?”

They all nodded and Yoongi gently pulled Jimin up. Hoseok, Jungkook and Tae had left to get all of their stuff and handed them to each of them, Jimin had a backpack, so he just slipped it onto his back. He looped his mask over his nose and mouth and pulled his hood over his head. The other members were ready to leave as well

They had made a formation just the way that Jimin had wanted, Namjoon and Seokjin in the front, Yoongi and Hoseok on both of Jimin’s sides (and maybe holding his hands), and Jungkook and Tae behind them.

They walked in their tight fortified position all the way to the car. On the way, they were stopped by the camera director, at the sight of him, Jimin backed up into jungkook’s chest in fear, and Jungkook wrapped a protective arm around his chest. Ready to do anything and everything to protect his little hyung and to make him feel safe.

The director just wanted to apologize, which the members stiffly accepted and continued the rest of the way to the car.

When they had made it to the car, Jimin sat in the far back seat, in the middle of Hoseok and Taehyung.

Jimin wrapped his arms around his hobi hyung and leaned his head on his shoulder. Hoseok, in return, gently wrapped his arms around his dongsaeng and rested his head on the top of Jimin’s.

Taehyung took to running his fingers through Jimin’s hair until they were cramping.

The other members cast worried glances to the back, but the concern faded as they saw how relaxed Jimin already looked with the two of them.
—————————————————————

When they had gotten home, their top priority was to make a calm and safe place for Jimin.

When they had gotten home, Hoseok had taken Jimin to their bedroom to change, while the other members had set up their living room.

They’d figured out that the maknae line likes the living room to be filled with blankets and watch movies when they are down, so that was exactly what they were going to do. They’d done that with Tae (check out my work called “It’ll Be Okay”).

They pulled as many blankets as they could from around the house and piled them onto the couch. The couch now being slightly unrecognizable under layers of fluffy blankets and pillows. They put up their diffuser and started to diffuse Jimin’s favorite oils, sweet orange and peppermint, he’d always said that they smelled happy. The scent filled the room and the members knew that it would calm Jimin. They knew that they should up a movie that they knew had no parts that would trigger him, so they pulled up a movie that they all loved, and had watched an uncountable about of times.

Seokjin then texted Hoseok to bring Jimin back in, and Tae and Jungkook had come into the living room with mugs of hot chocolate and set them down on the coffee table.

Hoseok came in with his arm wrapped around Jimin’s shoulders, they had both dressed into sweatshirts and sweatpants suitable for sleeping. The younger’s eyes lit up with surprise at what they had set up and gave them a small smile.

He walked over and sat down and all of the members joined beside him cuddling close. Jungkook handed him a hot chocolate and he accepted with a quiet “thank you” and a small smile.

They all sat down on the couch or surrounding furniture and turned on the movie. They could hear Jimin sniffling and they were afraid that he was crying (the movie wasn’t that sad!), they looked over, and he was crying, but also smiling.

“Aigoo! Don’t cry Jiminie!” Hoseok exclaimed as he covered Jimin’s face with little kisses, being wary of his sore cheek.

“I’m not sad I promise!” He giggled wetly, accepting the kisses from his hyung. He gently wiped away his tears. “I’m just so happy and thankful for you guys.”

“Aww Jimin hyung, we’re happy and thankful for you too! But please don’t cry, we hate to see you cry!”

Jimin smiled a little and wiped the rest of his tears away. Then his facial expression changed and he looked nervous.

“What is it Jimin-ah? Is everything okay?”

“Umm, could we….always check to see what the punishments are before we start filming?”

“Of course Jimin, we’ll make sure that this never happens again”

And eventually, they all fell asleep in front of the gushy movie, with empty mugs of hot chocolate and smiles on their faces
