Work Text:

The warmth of the gloves contrasted with the icy metal handle of the rake. Nose cherry red, and breath visible in the chill fall air, you gathered the fallen leaves into a pile. You huffed, your breath a cloud, and placed your hands on your hips, surveying the work.

You spun around as giggles burst from behind you, and cold shocked your head. The pink-cheeked girl stood with her hands together, grinning, as your hat flew toward her for the seventeenth time today. You leveled a glare, full of playful rage, at your girlfriend.

“Babe, that is NOT FUNNY!” You yelled, launching at her and causing both of you to fall into the small pile of leaves she had raked.

“Y/n, nooooooooooooo” She cried, as leaves exploded on contact and flew EVERYWHERE. “That took me forever...”

You smirked, eyes glinting, as you added a tally to the list of who had won your miniscule fights.

Uraraka looked up from where she laid below you, a pout on her face. Acting fast, she grabbed your collar, and pecked your lips. The action caused a light blush to dust your cheeks as you growled, “Weak,” and placed your lips on hers, kissing her harder.

Before she could return it, you pulled away saying, “Sorry babe, gotta get back to work.”

She pouted even more as you stood up, sticking the beanie back on your head and grabbing your rake.

She got back to raking, as you worked together to clean the small yard, moving the leaves into the forest bordering your house.

You yelped as something tickled your ear. Sharp reflexes allowed you to snatch it out of the air, but it crumbled in your fingers. You looked at your hands quizzically before your brain registered the broken leaf pieces floating to the ground.

“Ura…” you said, warning in your voice, “I swear to All Might if you don’t stop messing around I’m GOING to clobber you.”

You couldn’t see her face but you knew she wore a shit-eating grin, one that dared you to try. You didn’t take the bait, deciding to ignore her and finish your leaf pile.

Another hour passed and you had taken your hat off, the heat slowly escaping through the top of your head. The yard was cleared of leaves aside from the two MASSIVE piles you and Uraraka gathered. Hands on your hips, you stared at the yard approvingly, a sigh escaping your lips as you sucked in air.

“Y/n~ I have an iDEA” Uraraka said in a sing-song voice.

“If it has anything to do with what I think it does then no” you shut her down before she could convince you.

“Fine! But don’t say i didn’t warn you!” was the only heads-up you received as your girlfriend’s body slammed into yours, knocking you into the leaves.

Now it was your turn to complain as you both sunk into the abyss, and Uraraka wrapped her arms around your waist.

“Babe we just finished and now all of our work is gonna go to waste-“

Your complaint got cut off by Uraraka’s hand on your cheek and lips against yours.

It began slowly, her hand moving from your waist to entangle itself in your hair. Your hands wandered to her hips, pulling her flush against you, and hands marveling at her toned figure.

She pulled away for air, but barely, leaving her nose brushing yours.

“You’re amazing, you know that?” She breathed, causing butterflies to flutter in your stomach and your cheeks to heat up.

“Not as amazing as you” you replied, gazing at her with loving eyes, a small smile gracing your face.

You closed the distance, kissing her again, deeper this time. Bliss consumed both of you as the smell of fallen leaves and fall air surrounded you.

Leaves and rakes forgotten, you focused on your perfect girlfriend and the wonderful future ahead of you.
