A Rough Qihun Timeline

Summary:

A very rough timeline of the events in Qihun.

Notes:

Largely based on the Japanese Twitter fan @CottonSherlock's post at this link . Translated and modified by me.

I have been using this timeline in Japanese for my fic research, but I decided to share the love. Partially in response to peerlesscheese mentioning for their new fic (which I love!) that they struggled to estimate dates.

Corrections and updates welcome in the comments. I don't know how often I can come back to fix the main document, but having the information in one place should be helpful.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Notes:

(1) Thanks to anon commenter for discovering the year! 1989 implies that 9 y.o. in summer 1997 is by traditional age reckoning (I think?) SG's mom says in the Dragon Boat Festival episode (June) that his birthday is 3 mo ahead, so in September, and Shindou Hikaru's b-day is 9/20. See Note (2).
(2) Hao Fushen posted on 12/14/2020 that the acting award was the best b-day present for YL. Note Touya Akira's b-day is 12/14, so it can reasonably be inferred that characters have the same b-days as their manga counterparts. YL's birth year is still up for debate between 1987 to 1989, though YL and SG are in the same grade, so probably 88 or 89.
(3) Ep 25, Ban-laoshi says “Happy lunar new year” (so Feb?). Ep 26, Fang Xu talks about tournament in March and WD is still in school. (was just too long to fit)
