Setsuna had no patience for anything right now. It was the day after they had been evacuated from the Villa Raid to a nearby hospital via helicopter where the students were being looked over for injuries. Luckily, Setsuna was spared from anything other than a couple of minor bruises and some irritating cuts on her hands and arms that had already been patched up. Everybody else who was present there had the same injuries, although Denki had a concussion and Kirishima broke a rib unfortunately. She knew Majestic and Midnight were both dead, and was currently forcing down the oncoming breakdown in her throat by sheer willpower, although her face was still tearstained.
No. She didn't care about any of that, at least for right now.
She was going to see Izuku, if that was the last damn thing she'd do.
She heard his room number was 297, and made a beeline for that room. Setsuna loved Izuku too much only to be told by some doctor he was dead. She wanted to see him in person. She saw a nurse outside of his room, who immediately took note of her still in her hero costume, which was in relatively poor condition.
"He's awake now. Doctors' allowing visitors but you need to be careful around him." She said. Setsuna just nodded without stopping. When she went inside she nearly dropped dead.
Izuku had both of his arms in what looked like metal bracers, splayed out to either side of him. He had bandages wrapped around his elbows to support them. He glanced over, obvious bags under his eyes and smirked slightly. Setsuna felt her knees droop as she sobbed and ran over to him. The gap between the door and the bed seemed unusually long, and when she finally reached the bed, she fell down and sobbed into the covers. All of the pent up emotions and stress from Majestic's death to Izuku was flooding out.
"I-I... Izuku..." Setsuna could barely hold it together.
"S-Setsuna... I'm alive, it's fine..." He tried to reassure.
"N-No! It's not fine! I-I mean, look at you!" She sobbed, pointing towards his arms. Izuku wanted to hug her, but with the way his arms were, that would be difficult.
"Listen. T-The doctor said... Well, I'll be able to move them, e-eventually-"
"What do you mean move eventually?" Setsuna asked as she sniffed. Izuku just sighed, his guilt catching up to him.
"They're really broken bad. The doctor said at least for a month I can't use them unless I go through physical therapy, and even then, I would still need to learn how to hold stuff like pencils-" He was cut short by Setsuna sobbing loudly again as she lowered her head. Izuku just decided to let it play out until she spoke again.
"I-I don't want to be a hero anymore..."
"W-What?"
"I don't want to be a hero if this is what we're facing... T-This is just too much..." Setsuna choked. Izuku felt another wave of guilt hit him hard. "M-Majestic and M-Midnight are both dead..." Her voice pitched up at the end. Izuku sat there, trying to process that both of them were dead. He hadn't known much personally about Majestic, but Midnoght took a much harder toll on him. It made him want to cry, but he forcefully held it together with what little strength he had left. Time seemed to crawl by as Setsuna seemed to calm down. Finally, Izuku spoke up, tears starting to fill his eyes as well.
"Listen, I know both of them meant a lot to you, and I'm not going to pretend like it's going to be okay, because it won't be." Setsuna looked up at him, trying to process what he just said. "I know it's hard, but just remember that they were there for you. They're still here for you, always. I'm here for you too, you know that, and so is everybody else. I'll help you know matter what, even if my arms are like this, because I care for you." Setsuna just smiled slightly before going back to her previous expression.
"But... Everything after this... You saw how much damage there was, I can't handle this..."
"Yes you can. Listen, you're a recommended student. At U.A. One of the world's most prestigious hero academies. There's nothing you can't do. Sure, it looks bad, but think about the people who look up to you and know they're safe because of you. And you're not alone, you have everybody else to help you with this, you all have the same problem. It might take a while for me, but trust me, I'll be back by your side eventually."
"W-Who looks up to me?" She asked, stunned.
"I look up to you." Setsuna turned slightly and had a small smile creep up her face. "I thought I told you that already?" Setsuna actually felt relieved for the first time in what seemed for ever.
"T-Thank you..." She said before her voice trailed off. She leaned over to hug him. She knew it was probably not the best thing to do, but she was careful not to bump his arms. Izuku was taking all of the effort still left in him to not hug her back, no matter how good it felt, because his arms would probably disintegrate.
"Y-You're welcome Setsuna. Listen, we'll both get through this. Together. Neither of us are alone. We have everybody else as well. Trust me." Izuku reassured. Setsuna sobbed quietly again before letting go and sat down in a chair nearby. "U-Uh, M-Maybe you should c-change into s-something a little b-bit more comfortable?" Izuku asked.
"O-Oh, right." Setsuna giggled. "I-I'll be back in a bit." Izuku just smiled after her as she left.

After Setsuna managed to escape her parents grasp after 30 minutes, as well as the reporters that seemed to not let go, she was now quietly making her way back to Izuku's room. When she opened the door, she found Inko sleeping in a chair nearby, a puddle of tears on the ground, All Might next to her passed out as well. Izuku was still somehow awake, probably waiting for her to return.
"Hey," She whispered. "You should probably be getting to bed." Izuku just smirked.
"My mom wanted to talk. She said she was pulling me out of U.A, but I managed to convince her. Somehow." He responded. Setsuna looked at him in mock amazement.
"Really? How? Do you have Talk-no-Jutsu or something?" She giggled. Izuku just laughed, not wanting to reveal the fact she told Inko about OfA and the fact he wouldn't let go of being a hero. He was contemplating on telling Setsuna, but decided to wait and see if All Might approved. Setsuna sat down next to Izuku and just sighed tiredly.
"S-So you really are going to help me?" She whispered. Izuku just nodded.
"Yes. I know how hard everything's hit you. Trust me, I'll do everything I will to help. Anyone. It's part of being a hero." Izuku smirked at the end.
"Thank you. Really. I-I... love you. So much. You mean everything to me, so thank you." Setsuna said, tears starting to fill her eyes again.
"You're welcome. I-I L-Love you too..." Izuku's voice trailed off at the end. Setsuna just snickered.
"What? Don't you love me?" She teased.
"I-I d-didn't m-mean that!" Izuku put in defense.
"I was only teasing you." Setsuna said as she giggled. Izuku blushed before he turned away.
"S-So will you help me with my therapy?" He asked.
"Yes I will. You've done so much, you deserve more than that now." Setsuna reassured. Setsuna detached her head and leaned over to kiss Izuku on his lips when he turned, surprising him, while she just laughed before chuckling under his breath.
For now, they both had each other. No matter what the world threw at them, they'd get through it together.
Because they were heroes.
