A small grunt slipped from the female as she fell to her knees, feeling weak as she felt the darkness of her power beginning to take over — It was something that only Midnight knew about from training with her. Seiko had a powerful quirk, but it came with consequences. Using her quirk past her limit caused the darkness to creep onto her — and she couldn't control it. Thankfully Midnight would use her quirk to put her to sleep when noticing the signs of her limitations.
⠀
⠀
"Are you okay?" Midnight asked, walking over to her pupil and placing her hand on her shoulder. "Don't push yourself — take a break for now and regain yourself. I know it's a little hard. We'll work on attacking with the whips when you get to feeling better, okay?" She asked, a nod coming from the much younger female as she tried to catch her breath. Noticing her not wanting to move, her head turned towards the front of the gym as she heard the doors open — seeing Aizawa and Shinso walk in. The Domnatrix made her way over to the pair giving them both a friendly smile. "Hello, boys. I take it you're here to train for a bit?" She asked, her hand being placed on her hip.
⠀
⠀
"How is training with Majo doing? I heard you were working on training with her and wanted to see if her and Shinso could spar for a moment." He spoke, the female letting out a sigh. "As much as I would like to see her in combat with her quirk with another student — I'm afraid that I cant allow her too. If she used her quirk now, I'm afraid she might put herself and Shinso in danger." She spoke, her head turned towards the young female who still sat on the ground training to regain calmness. "You never told us what you found about her quirk." Aizawa spoke, getting the women's attention. "Of course." She inhaled softly before explaining everything she had observed about Majo's quirk.
⠀
⠀
"I've noticed that with her quirk, there's a dark side to it — dark magic. Something incredibly dangerous that shouldn't be messed with. When she exerts too much energy too fast, the darkness begins to take control. Its noticable. Dark purple mist begin to form around her hands as her eyes turn dark. Shes been able to repress it a few times, but there has been times when she wasn't — and I had to use my quirk to put her to sleep. It's almost like Tokoyami's Dark Shadow — it becomes difficult to control. She's able to use verbal commands — commands that can immobilize her opponents and prevent them from using their attacks. It only last for about 10 minutes and it takes some of her energy. Although, if someone is strong enough, they can break through her immobilzation. She's powerful — but she's holding herself back because she thinks she's dangerous. She wants to be a hero, but shes afraid of going to far." Spoke Midnight, both the males looking at her in shock. "How did she get into the hero course?" Asked Shinso, finally speaking up as Midnight looked at him. "With the help of Ochako Uraraka. She let her feed off her quirk in order to get just enough points to make it into class 1 - B. She was extremely close to failing though. I've also noticed, that her quirk increases under the moonlight. I've been looking into her quirk — even reaching out to her family." Midnight spoke, directing her attention back to the males.
⠀
⠀
Shinso's gaze was only focused on the girl that sat on the ground in the middle of the training area. Her eyes shut as got her breathing calmed down. Exhaling, she hadn't known that Aizawa and Shinso had walked in for she was too busy trying to get the energy to stand up again. She turned, expecting to meet with Midnight but was shocked when her starry purple eyes met with the blue ones of Shinso. She let out a small squeak before looking away with a soft blush. After a moment, she began to walk over to where Midnight was standing with the males and stood beside her.
⠀
⠀
She could feel Shinsho's eyes lingering on her as she felt a soft nudge from her mentor. "Why don't you guys train for a bit? Majo could use some combat training with her weapons." The Domnitrix spoke, giving a soft smile. Majo couldn't process any words hearing what she said, but luckily Shinso spoke for her. "If she's up for it, then yeah." She gave a soft nod towards his words before taking a step back and turning to walk back onto the training grounds. She wore a pair of fingerless gloves that Reiyna had designed for her — it was convenient because the gloves corresponded with the crystals around her wrist and allowed her to pull a whip from each one and use them for attacking. She hasn't used them much — Midnight had only been focusing on how her quirk worked for a while.
⠀
⠀
Meanwhile, Shinso fought with the binding cloth — still learning the ways to use it from Mr. Aizawa. "You ready?" The boy asked, a nod coming from the Witch as she looked at him. She was still tired from her previous training, but she never gave up. With her nod, he didn't hesitate before sending the end of his capture weapon towards her. She was quick to respond, knowing that she wouldn't be able to completely dodge it — but she managed to get one of her whips out in time, swinging her arms out as the cloth wrapped around the bristles of her whips. With a grunt and all the power she had — she used her other hand to grab the cloth and yank it towards her. She wasn't strong in her slightly weakened state, but it was enough to knock the male off his balance, which gave her the perfect opportunity to run towards him to strike a punch to his stomach. The taller male stumbled back with a grunt. She went for another attack, this time going to attack him with her whips — only he had a quicker reaction time and had grabbed her wrist before her weapon could make contact with him and swung her around, releasing his hold as her wrist as she went flying into the rugged terrain.
⠀
⠀
While they continued to fight — their mentors observed them, making notes of their techniques. They had trained against each other before so that their mentors had an idea of what to help with. They never used their quirks against each other — since they would both have a slight disadvantage, so they stuck to combat training
⠀
⠀
"Combat wise — how is she?" Asked Aizawa, seeing Majo continue to lunge towards his pupil and their defenses. "Shes not the strongest fighter, I'll admit. She uses her whips as dodge items — like she did just now against Shinsho's scarf. Shes a defensive fighter, and often relies on the rocks that she carries in the boxes on her thighs as weapons, she uses them alot as a distraction since she can throw pretty hard. She's also a verbal fighter — if shes facing an opponent, she can use verbal spells to immobilize them or prevent them from using her quirk, but much like yours, she can only use hers if the opponent is making eye contact with her. She wears her mask to prevent the opponent from seeing what shes saying — it also quiets her voice to others so they cant hear her saying anything. Close combat isn't her strong suit. But — I can tell that shes improved. She's gotten better at dodging and using her weapons as shields or reflectors rather then as an actual weapon." She explained, watching as the students continued to dodge and attack each other. "He's also going easy on her. He noticed her drained state as he walked in, and doesnt want her over exerting herself. He might not be the best at showing it, but he does care for her. He knows where she came from and what its like to have a quirk in which everyone else seems villainous— and he sympathizes for her. I have a feeling he cares for her much more then just as a friend — but he doesn't know how to express that." The male spoke, earning him a shocked expression from Midnight as he spoke. "Is Eraserhead pointing out that there might be some young love between two of our students?" She spoke, making sure to be quiet enough to where the students couldn't hear her. "Hm, I'll have to ask her about that later."
⠀
⠀
Back on the battlefield — Shinso launched the end of his bonding cloth towards her again, in which she once again blocked it with her whips. Only this time, before she had to time to grab it with her free hand, he hand already yanked it back towards him, causing her to loose her balance and fall to the ground with a thud. She gave a small groan as she layed there — being defeated in this battle. She gave a light sigh before rolling onto her back and looking up at the ceiling above her. Shinso took this opportunity to walk over to her and hold his hand out, helping her up. Grabbing his hand, she let out a soft oomph as he pulled her up, placing his other hand on her shoulder to keep her steady as she regained her balance once again.
⠀
⠀
"Nice job. You've gotten better with using your whips. Soon enough, you'll be mastering them like a pro." The indigo haired male spoke, bringing a blush to the younger girl's cheek. "Thank you. I'm glad to hear that I've improved." She spoke back, loving her head to meet with his gaze. She took a step back as she looked towards Midnight, who gave her a thumbs up and a ... wink? The blonde rubbed the back of her neck nervously before moving to meet back up with her mentor. "That was better then last time, Majo. I'm glad to see that you're improving." Spoke the woman, getting a small nod in response from the younger girl. "Your training is done for today — go clean up and get some rest." came from her mentor, in which the blonde happily agreed. Giving a small smile towards Shinso, she headed towards the door. Grabbing the handle, she jumped slightly feeling someone grab her wrist. Turning, she was shocked when she came to face with Shinso. "Meet me after practice." He spoke, her response a nod. Getting a small smile from him, she felt her heart do a somersault before she turned back towards the door and pulled them open, exiting and heading back towards Heights Alliance.

Turning the knob of her shower, she turned off the water before reaching out to grab her towel and wrapping it around herself before stepping out into the changing area of the shower so that she could dry off and change her clothes. She changed into a tank top and some shorts, before placing her things in her bag and carrying her damp towel over her arm as she went into the sink area. Going up to the sinks, she quickly cleaned her face before leaving towards the laundry room to drop off her dirty clothes and towel. Moving to the kitchen, she grabbed an apple from the fridge before hearing one of her classmates call her name. Looking over her shoulder, she gave a small smile seeing Kendo. "You hungry? I made you some food since you missed dinner because of training with Ms. Midnight." The ginger spoke, grabbing a covered plate from the microwave and handing it to her. "Its just some of the dumplings which are vegan and gluten free." She spoke, giving a smile. "Thanks, Kendo." The blonde spoke, before slipping her water bottle in her bag before grabbing the plate with her free hand and heading towards the elevator. Getting to the third floor, she got to her room and grabbed her keys from her bag and quickly unlocked her door, walking in. Placing her plate and apple on the table she had by the door, she shut it and placed her bag down.
⠀
⠀
Much like everyone else, she decorated her room. She had string lights placed around the ceiling which illuminated the room with a light purple color. She had several tapestries hung on her walls that each had a witch like design. A moon chart hung on the back of her door. She had a few floating shelves around her room that each had some books or small knickknacks on them — as well as branches that were placed on the wall with strings hanging from them that were attached to rocks as decorations. Her bed was placed in the bottom right corner. At then end of her bed was her table and a mini fridge that each room had. A desk sat in the left corner of her room that extended from the wall to edge of her window to her balcony — it was where she had her alter. Her alter had a black cloth draped over it and all kinds of witchy equipment on it. The left side of the room was just a big bookshelf that stretched across the length of the wall — it had cabinets on the bottom and the rest was block storage. Arrays of books and more knickknacks decorated the squares. She didn't have much on the right side of the room except for some bags that hung by hooks on the walls — another smaller desk that was located in between the doors that led to her closet and toilet. Some books and her laptop sat there, it's where she did her schoolwork.
⠀
⠀
Flopping down onto her bed, she placed the plate of dumplings in front of her and grabbed her phone from her bag and scrolled through some stuff while she ate her dumplings. She figured that Shinso would be getting done with training soon — so she recovered her plate and placed it on the desk that she used for school. Going over to her alter, she grabbed one of her bandanas, and did a quick blessing to it to prevent headaches and placed it on her head, tying the ends at her neck. Slipping her house shoes on, she grabbed her dorm key and slipped it into the pocket of her shorts before heading out of her room. Heading to the elevator, she got in and headed back down to the common area. Kendo was still down there, sitting on the couch with Poni and Kodai. "Hey Seiko! Wanna come watch this movie with us?" Asked the ginger with a soft smile. "Not tonight — I promised someone I would meet up with them for a few minutes." she responded back, a fairly noticeable blush creeping onto her cheeks. Noticing her blush, Poni was the first to speak. "Oo! Are you meeting with a boy?" She spoke out, causing the faint tint on Majo's cheeks to immediately darken. "Poni!" Kendo stated before the blonde witch spoke. "Anyways — I'll see you guys later!" She quickly spoke, heading to the door as she switched out her house slippers for her sneakers and left the building.
⠀
⠀
She gave a soft sigh, as she walked down the steps of the building and took the walk down to the training area. Since Aizawa normally trained with Shinso for about an hour, she figured she would wait outside until he was done — it was only a couple more minutes anyways. She didn't expect to see Shinso standing outside the training area, already changed into some cleaner clothes as she got there. "We finished training early. Mr. Aizawa had some school stuff do to so he let me go early." The male spoke, as the girl walked up to him. "How was it?" she asked, giving him a slight smile as she stood in front of him. "The same as normal. I'm getting better with the binding cloth though." "I noticed." She spoke, showing him her arm which now had a slight bruise from falling on it after he had pulled her down with his scarf.
⠀
⠀
After a couple seconds of standing there, Shinso raised his eyebrow softly as he noticed her shiver at the slight breeze. Taking his hoodie off — leaving him in a t-shirt, he handed it to her as she took it with a soft blush. "Put it on. You look cold." He spoke, slipping his hands into the pockets of his sweatpants. Putting his hoodie on, it was long on her seeing that she was a few inches shorter then him, it stopped a couple inches above the bottom of her shorts. Fixing her hair, she looked up at him noticing his gaze was directed on her, as he leaned his back against the building.
⠀
⠀
"What?" She asked, noticing his gaze lingering. He gave her a soft smile, before his arms found their way around her waist, pulling her against him softly. "You look really cute in my hoodie." He spoke. Her face was the color of Kirishima's hair at this point, from him giving her his hoodie to pulling her against him, she couldn't find any words to say. "You wanna go watch a movie? We still have about 3 hours until curfew." He asked, her giving him a soft nod as she twiddled with the end of the sleeves. Pulling his arms away, he slipped his hands back in his pockets before they walked back to the General Studies dorm. The walk there was silent — not an awkward type, just enjoying each others presence.
⠀
⠀
Getting to the dorms, Shinso opened the door, letting her walk in first. Getting in behind her, the bith took their shoes off as the male grabbed her a spare set from the bin and handed them to her. Slipping them on, she followed him into the common area. "Are you hungry?" he asked, her shaking her head no in response. "I ate some dumplings earlier. Besides — I don't think you'll have anything that i can eat here." She spoke. He thought for a minute before answering her. "Do you like chips?" "As long as they're gluten free." He scratched the back of his neck softly before just walking over to the couch.
⠀
⠀
After a few minutes of looking through movies, theh finally picked one out. Gettinf situated, she slipped her house shoes off and brought her legs up, sitting criss cross as she leaned into the back of the couch. They were both silent throughout the movie. The general studies class was normally very quiet, mostly everyone went to their rooms by the time the sun started setting. Seiko could feel Shinso glancing over at her every now and then — and she couldn't help but glance over at him as well. About halfway through the movie, the blonde could feel her eyelids getting slightly heavy as she tried her best to stay awake. Noticing this, Shinso's arm slipped around her shoulder and softly pulled her towards him, her head landing just below his shoulder. The male smiled softly seeing her, as he rested his head against hers.
⠀
⠀
By the time the movie had ended, Seiko had fallen asleep. Shutting the tv off, he didn't really want to get up and take her over to her dorms, or risk getting caught if he carried her up to his room. Carefully, he wrapped his arms around her and adjusted both of them so that he had his back against the back of the couch and was slightly on his side, while she was laying on her side with her head on his chest and her legs slightly tangled with his. Grabbing the blanket off the back of the couch, he placed it over them before wrapping his arms around the smaller girl and holding her softly against him. Since they became friends, he had always felt an attraction towards her, but he could never put his feelings into words. He realized that he wanted to do nothing but protect her and make her happy, but he wasn't sure if she felt the same way. After 5 months, he was hoping to confess his feelings to her tonight, but he never got the chance — but taking into account the way she responded to him, he had a feeling her feelings for him weren't that different then his feelings for her. Eventually he found himself drifting off into sleep.
⠀
⠀
Once morning came, Shinso was the first to wake up. It took him a minute to recognize his surroundings before seeing Seiko cuddled up to him, softly snoring barely above a whisper. He gave a soft smile before gently shaking her awake. Luckily, it was the weekend, so there wasn't any class to worry about. "Majo. Wake up." He spoke, getting a small mumble from her in return. Her starry violet eyes fluttered awake softly as she began to wake up. Seeing that she was cuddled up to Shinso, she sat up rather quickly. "Uh, sorry for ... um, falling asleep on you." She whispered, her voice ever so slightly raspy from just waking up. Shinso sat up after her before speaking. "Come on — I'll walk you back to your dorm." he offered before she stood up. "You don't have too — I'll see you around, kay?" She asked with a soft smile before walking towards the door. Grabbing her shoes, she gave him one last smile before leaving and heading next door to 1-B dorms, a small smile on her face.
