Scintilla (noun) : a very small of amount of something
It was a nice Friday to laze around and that was what Jungkook did. Still cocooned inside of his comforter, Jungkook nuzzled his pillow while letting out content sighs. However, that moment only lasts for a while, because then he heard heavy footsteps from outside his room followed by the happy humming of someone. "Rise and shine bro. We will go to the Ski Resort this afternoon. So, go pack your bags."
"Go away, I'm still sleepy." Jungkook groaned, pulling the comforter up to his head.
Seokjin rolled his eyes. "Yeah yeah, whatever you better get up before I drag you myself." Jungkook sighed. "Let me sleep for God's sake." Jungkook insisted burrowing his face more into his pillow.
"Not a chance dude. We will go for coffee first, chop, chop you a couch potato." Seokjin started to drag Jungkook's feet but Jungkook held on tightly to his bed. Seokjin gave up because Jungkook is stronger and he is in need of coffee.
"I'm on the bed not on a couch you know," Jungkook mumbled, crawling back to his bed.
Seokjin rubbed his temple tiredly. "Just get up, will you!? My father dragged us to go to this meeting with his clients at a ski resort just outside of this town. Not even going to take a two hours drive, but since I don't wanna miss this opportunity I asked him for a three nights trip as payments. For that reason, you will come with me because I asked for reservations for us." Seokjin winked at him and started walking out.
"Wait, us? Who else did you invite?" Jungkook asked sitting down.
"Why of course I invited my boo Namjoon and your beloved Yoongi." Seokjin stopped, as he checked out his nails.
Jungkook groaned hard. "Can we go tomorrow instead? I'm super tired. Wanna hibernate so baaaaddd. Ugh." Jungkook kicked the bed so hard it shook.
"You are such a baby." Seokjin rolled his eyes again. "Come on. I will wait outside. If you don't come out in fifteen minutes, I'm burning your PC."
Jungkook shot up off the bed so fast hearing that. "You won't dare. That baby cost me a fortune!"
"Watch me, dude. Hurry up. Time is clicking." Seokjin tapped his finger into his watch he was wearing. Slamming the door dramatically behind him.
"For fuck sake." Jungkook rubbed his face tiredly then hopped out of the bed.
Jungkook climbed down the stairs unhurriedly as Seokjin asked him right after he ordered him to get ready.
Seokjin turned his head when he saw Jungkook emerging from upstairs. "You gotta be kidding me... Really Jungkook? Wearing your pajama pants and just throwing on some bomber jacket you own? Meanwhile, me looking like a four-course meal dinner dressing up with these fine clothes." Seokjin scrutinized Jungkook's look up and down.
Jungkook bumped Seokjin's shoulder as he went past him. "Shut up. Let's just go. I want some pancakes."
Seokjin hurriedly caught up with the long stride. "Right now you are the eager one, huh?" Seokjin rolled his eyes.
"You drive." Seokjin threw his keys to Jungkook who has no trouble catching them.
"Am I your personal driver now? Not your relatives?" Jungkook grumbled.
"I'm sharing my place with you, constantly paying you meals, and personally asking you to come to join my mini holidays, but yeah sure continue being ungrateful you brat." Seokjin scolded as they got settled in the car.
"Yes, yes your highness. Thank you so much for your kindness. Seatbelt." Jungkook reminded him as he turned on the engine and soon they left for breakfast.
They spent an hour getting breakfast because it was rush hour and when they got back to Seokjin's place, someone with pushed back blond hair was lounging in their living room admiring Seokjin's bonsai tree on the table.
"Namjoon! Fancy seeing you here!" Seokjin elbowed Namjoon's ribs that made him flinch in pain. "It hurts. Ugh did you even water the bonsai, Jin?" Namjoon gestured to the tree.
Seokjin grasped. "Of course I do! I'm not that heartless. Who do you think I am, Namjoon?"
"Well, I can see the tree is dry at the moment."
"I was about to water them after breakfast." Seokjin retaliated.
"It's okay let me do that instead." Namjoon grabbed the bonsai and put them on the balcony.
Seokjin turned to Jungkook. "Go pack up some clothes now. We will go soon."
Jungkook rubbed his face unwillingly. "We can just rent jackets from there though. Ugh, I hate packing up." Jungkook dragged his feet back to his room.
"Just throw some warm clothes there and you are such a lazy bun!" Seokjin sent another glare into his direction.
"It's a freakin weekend. I just wanna sleep." Jungkook grumbled as he put his clothes that were only in all black into his suitcase.
"I'm calling shotgun!" Namjoon anything but ran into the car dragging his carrier like there is no tomorrow.
"Why is your boyfriend such a kid?" Jungkook grumbled.
"I heard you, Kook! I need this holiday! Unlike you boring-ass, I appreciate good winding downtime such as this golden opportunity!" Namjoon pouted after he threw his suitcase carelessly into the back seat.
"He has a point, Jungkook. Some good time may help you untwist your undies." A new figure came into the view. His wavy honey blonde hair is swaying with the wind.
"Yoongi. You came just in time." Seokjin hugged him briefly.
"Thank God for this short getaway, Jin. God knows I need this." Yoongi sighed and rubbed Seokjin's back. They let go as Jungkook interfered and put his arms around Yoongi from behind.
"Yoonie, they are blackmailing me to come with them. You know I only want to hibernate." Jungkook back hugging Yoongi and sway them side to side. Yoongi just chuckled and let him do that as he transferred his carrier to Seokjin who offered to put it inside of the car.
"Stop complaining, oh my God. You sound worse than my dad when he is giving me his piece of mind." Seokjin bit back Jungkook's remarks.
"Stop eating, will you!? I'm not pulling over the side so you can throw up." Seokjin yelled as he glanced at Jungkook for a short while before focusing back into the road ahead of him.
"I'm hangrieh." Jungkook replied back with a mouth full of sandwich.
"Gross. Don't spit food around my Ferrari." Seokjin yelled harder than before to beat the music they blasted out during the way.
Namjoon's voice singing Supermassive black hole is accompanying them.
"Come on kids stop quarreling. Jin just focused on driving. You big bunny better stop eating after this. You might really throw up in Jin's ferrari if you keep eating." Yoongi interfered and tried to be the sane one since Namjoon clearly did not care at the moment.
"Fine." Jungkook gave up and took a big gulp of water to wash down the food.
Seokjin said nothing but he remained focused on driving for the rest of the way. Meanwhile, Namjoon finally lowered down the volume of the music as he switched the song to something more calming than before.
They reached the destination for around 3 hours as they were not in hurry. The meeting with Seokjin's client would be done in the early evening. The hurriedly parked the car and enter the inn where they would be staying.
"We still have several hours to settle down." Seokjin looked down at his watch as the others started pulling out their stuff.
"Ugh, my clothes smell like shit." Jungkook wrinkled his nose in disgust.
"Serves you right for not listening to me to stop eating. Be grateful Jin was not kicking you out on the way because you need to puke." Yoongi grabbed their stuff while Namjoon helped get the rest.
"Okay, we are done unloading the stuff," Yoongi called out from behind him. Seokjin nodded and started walking into the counter of the resort building.
They stopped at the reception desk and a mop of fluffy hair popped up hearing new footsteps. The man's small eyes looked at them while his lips stretched into a big smile. "Hello, good afternoon, my name is Hoseok, is there anything I can help with?"
"Yes, I have reservations under the name of Kim Seokjin." Seokjin stepped in and rest his elbow on the counter while the man in front of checked out the reservation.
"Ah yes, you reserve three rooms, is it correct, sir?" The receptionist's smile was so blinding. The lips shaped like a heart made Yoongi stopped and just stared.
"Why would you need to reserve three rooms? I can just sleep with Yoongi in one room?" Jungkook said while rubbing his soaked shirt.
"Uhm no. I object. You snore so freaking loud I barely can sleep." Yoongi rolled his eyes. Seokjin just shrugged and took the keys from the man right after he finished dealing with the check-in situation.
Not long after, a young man with shiny blonde hair came in. Both of them were wearing white shirts with green ties. Likely their uniform for the staff. Both of their hair was fluffy and looked so soft to the touch. The only difference is that this man's blonde hair was wavy while the other's were not. The man's eyes were disappearing as he smiled so wide.
Jungkook whipped his head towards the new incoming figure. Looking him up and down and mesmerized by his beauty. Jungkook unconsciously grabbed Yoongi's sleeves in which Yoongi only looked at him indifferently.
"Welcome to Park Inn. I will take it from Hoseok here as I will directly show you the rooms." Seokjin nodded.
"You haven't introduced us to your name..." Yoongi commented.
The blonde man widened his eyes then slapped his forehead lightly. "Oh my, where are my manners. So sorry for that gentlemen. I'm Park Jimin, my dad is the owner of this Inn. I'm helping him out. Welcome." He bowed for a while in which all of them did the same as a reply.
Jungkook was unable to take his eyes away from the beauty.
'He is so pretty.'
Jimin smiled back after they bowed back to him and his gaze went straight to Jungkook who still had his eyes on him.
"Oh my! What happened to you? Are you okay?" Jimin walked closer to Jungkook to inspect his clothes that were covered in his own vomit.
"Ah well. Uhm this was nothing..." Jungkook jolted back to reality and he stammered an answer.
Seokjin scoffed so hard he choked on his own spit. Jungkook glared at him and quickly averted his eyes back to Jimin.
"Does look something to me." Jimin eyed Jungkook back. They were both silent as they were captured by each other's eyes.
'Oh no, our eyes met. Damn you--'
"you are so pretty." Jungkook finished his own thoughts by saying that out loud. Jungkook clasped his hand into his mouth and tore his gaze away from Jimin, embarrassed.
Jungkook summoned back his courage and spoke again. "Something’s wrong with my eyes because I can’t take them off you."
Jimin just chuckled and stepped back to give them a distance. "Shall we go now? It must be uncomfortable wearing that right, sir?" Jimin smiled brightly at Jungkook. Jungkook felt his heart beating so loud like a drum.
"Yes, please. I wanna lay down so bad. The traffic is horrible." Seokjin wailed as he dragged his suitcase around walking behind Jimin who led the way.
"I can imagine. The traffic here during the holiday is bad indeed. Let me help you." Jimin took one of the suitcases from Yoongi's hand.
"Ah okay thank you. This one belongs to this giant baby right here. He was adamant for not carrying it around." Yoongi recalled the story to Jimin.
"You told me you won't mind!? The disrespectful I got." Jungkook gasped and bit back Yoongi's story.
"Cut him some slack, Yoongi. He just vomited all over his own clothes. He was right for not dirtying his expensive suitcase." Seokjin laughed so hard he stopped walking.
"Shut up." Jungkook weakly replied as he pushed Seokjin's shoulder away and matched his step with Jimin.
"Don't listen to them. The reason I got this dirty is that Jin is a horrible driver." Jungkook said with a low voice to Jimin. Afraid of getting worse first impressions from Jimin.
Jimin just chuckled again in response as they arrived at the rooms they were staying in.
"Here we are, gentlemen. Let me check the keys." Jimin said, inspecting the keys for a while to see whether or not the numbers there match the room. After that Jimin gave the keys to Yoongi. "The rooms are just directly down the main entrance and you guys are neighbors. Have a nice stay. Just call us on the phone inside if you need anything. I will leave you to settle down." Jimin bowed and began to walk away.
Jungkook, who did not want Jimin to walk away from him this fast, grabbed his arm. Stopping Jimin from walking. "Wait for a second, mister Park."
Jimin stopped and locked eyes with Jungkook once again. "Yes, um mister? I'm afraid I don't know your name, sir." Jimin nervously answered. Jungkook's gaze penetrated his soul and Jimin suddenly became uncomfortable because of that.
"It's Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook." Jungkook replied with a deep voice.
Jimin gulped. "Alright, Mr. Jeon. Is there anything that you need?"
Jungkook lessened the hold he had on Jimin's hand. His gaze never wavered away from Jimin's brown eyes.
"There is something wrong with my cell phone. It doesn't have your number in it." Jungkook said without a hint of doubt. His lips stretched into a small smile. Jungkook bit his cheek before continuing. "I was blinded by your beauty; I’m going to need your phone number for insurance purposes." He let go of Jimin's hand and look down at his shoes, "If you don't mind, of course." He added back, suddenly went shy for being so bold.
"Hmm, I don't know Mr Jeon. We just met. I don't give my numbers easily to someone especially with puke on their clothes. Maybe I will change my mind if you ask me again tomorrow." Jimin poked Jungkook's shoulder playfully and turned back to other men watching their interaction. "Have a nice stay, gentlemen." Then, Jimin was gone strutting his way to the main entrance.
"Damn it Kook you have a heavy crush on him huh?" Namjoon commented.
"Jungkook really was ready to risk it all for Jimin's number. Whipped, at first sight, the epic love story of Jeon Jungkook has begun." Seokjin whistled in amusement.
Namjoon shook his head and unlocked the door to Seokjin and his room. "Come on rest up guys. Jin still has that meeting with the client for dinner. I'll see you later. Behave okay? Especially you, Jungkook." Namjoon reminded Jungkook as Seokjin dragged Namjoon with him and closed the door behind them.
Jungkook sighed. "I can't just control myself. He is so cute, sexy, alluring at the same time. Fuck. He is hella fine too. I'm doomed." Jungkook turned to the door to his room and rested his back there.
Yoongi winced in sympathy. "Go wash up first before you try to hit on him, you dork." Yoongi threw the key of Jungkook's room to him before unlocking his own room across Jungkook and Jin's rooms.
"Text me if you decide to go after for Jimin's affection. So, I won't have to babysit you through that." Yoongi saluted Jungkook and slammed the door.
"Fuck my life." Jungkook rubbed his face tiredly before go inside his room to wash up and rest.
Jungkook woke up when he heard knocking on the door. Looking up the time he had spent eight hours of sleep since last night. He groggily got up and opened the door to see Jimin was standing outside the room with the cleaning supplies ready in hands. "Room service, sir."
Jungkook wrinkled his eyebrows. "Aren't you basically the boss here? I didn't expect you to do the cleaning by yourself? Is that part of the service of this inn?" Jungkook opened the door wider to let the man in.
"This is a special treatment from me! You look horrible. I just worry you won't settle down nicely, but seeing you just woke up looking all cute and groggy is quite an amusing sight." Jimin laughed as he dusted off the TV and furniture. Jungkook crept closer to Jimin without making sounds.
“Yeah? You make me feel special.” Jungkook said his fingers were ghosting over Jimin’s arm. Jimin’s breathe hitched a bit and he dropped whatever he was using to clean up. Jungkook smirked hearing that.
“Do you think I will look good wearing glasses?” Jungkook asked as he stared deeply into Jimin’s eyes. The distance between them was becoming non-existent.
“Why did you ask that, Mr. Jeon?” Jimin walked back away slowly from Jungkook.
“Because I might need them since I can’t seem to take my eyes off yours.” Jungkook slid his hand into Jimin’s shoulder and rest there.
“You look good either with glasses on or without them Mr. Jeon,” Jimin replied while holding onto Jungkook’s arm to create a little space between them. Their eyes were colliding.
“You really stole all the stars in the sky and keep them, huh? Your eyes look like a whole galaxy.” Jimin put his hand on Jungkook’s cheek to inspect his eyes intensively.
“Is that a compliment?” Jungkook asked arching his eyebrow.
“Of course. Your eyes are beautiful.” Jimin poked Jungkook’s temple with his thumb. Jungkook hummed happily.
“Jimin, do you believe in love at first sight? Or should I just walked by you again?” Jungkook’s lips stretched into a big smile.
‘Jungkook looks like a bunny.’ Jimin thought unconsciously rubbing at Jungkook’s skin on his arm.
“You look fine just by standing like this. I’m not going anywhere, no need to walk by again.” Jimin smiled, moving his hand to Jungkook’s chest, and lightly touched his pectorals. Jungkook growled in warning. His eyes turned sharp and Jimin gasped, taking his hand away from Jungkook.
"Glad to see you enjoy my suffering while you torment me with words as I was busy chasing after you in my dreams. Aren't you tired of being beautiful, Jimin?" Jungkook trapped Jimin on the wall.
“Hmm, I don’t know… I feel fine at the moment. You, on the other hand, need to wash up because you have bad breath.” Jimin whispered giving Jungkook a satisfied smile. Jungkook scowled.
"Go wash up first before you hit on me any further, you big bunny." Jimin poked Jungkook's nose and left him as he started to roll around the vacuum cleaner.
Jungkook walked closer to Jimin again, got into his space, looped his army around Jimin’s waist, and murmured in his ear. "I'm going to chase after you in real life, Jimin. I'm dead serious. I won't let you out of my life that easily." Jungkook said one last time, pecking his ear with soft kiss before entering the bathroom to get a hot shower.
Jimin slumped into the floor with weak knees. He put his hand on his chest to feel his racing heartbeats thumping so loud he could hear it in his ears.
'Damn Jeon Jungkook and his charming arse. I think I'm really attracted to him.' Jimin swiped back his hair in frustration before hurriedly got up to clean the room.
For the whole day, Jungkook just followed Jimin around like a lost puppy. He was not as intimidating as before in Jungkook's room, but Jimin felt uneasy either way.
'He said he won't let me go, but I didn't mean that in a literal context. Damn it, this guy is so confusing.' Jimin sighed the hundreds of times that day as he rolled down the cleaning supplies cart and finished the cleaning for now.
Jungkook was quite helpful as he aided Jimin in taking off the bedsheets and mopped the bathroom of the empty rooms in the inn.
However, Jungkook barely said any words and Jimin did not want to disrupt the comforting but confusing silence situation they were in now.
Jimin shook his head trying to focus. 'Whatever. As long as he doesn't bother me, I will just ignore the unspeakable tension we had right now.'
Jimin who was getting used to his presence just ignored him as Jungkook requested. Jimin admitted he felt something with Jungkook but his behaviors made Jimin doubt whether or not this guy was just plainly like this with his crush or he was actually a stalker.
Jimin just sighed as he wiped down the front desk while Jungkook was watching from the sofa in the corner.
"For fuck sake Jungkook let Jimin breathe and do his job in peace, will you? Let's go shopping instead." Seokjin scolded as he dragged Jungkook away.
Jimin sighed in relief, but before he got to continue cleaning, another figure blocked his way. "Sorry about Jungkook, I'm Min Yoongi."
"Ah, yes hello Mr. Min." Jimin nodded, urging Yoongi to continue.
"I feel like I should apologize on Jungkook's behalf. He is rather impulsive and just acts based on what he wants. Unfortunately, he seems to want to know you better. He is a good kid, I swear. He isn't even a stalker. He just does that sometimes." Yoongi explained watching Jimin's reaction carefully.
Eventually, Jimin was saying he was okay with that and Yoongi promised to scold Jungkook to give Jimin some more privacy. Jimin thanked him and they said their bye.
Jungkook emerged later on during supper time to the front desk of the inn after he declined Jin's invitation to join dinner with Namjoon and him. He texted Yoongi to ask him to get dinner together but he rejected the idea because he just wanted to sleep.
As he arrived there, he saw the same man that has stolen his heart minding the front desk business.
'This is a golden chance.' Jungkook thought.
"Hello, excuse me." Greeted Jungkook.
"Good evening, can I offer you any assistance?" Jimin smiled warmly as his eyes went back from the screen computer and to Jungkook's eyes. Jimin tried to be professional and let go of what happened this afternoon with Jungkook following him around.
"Uhm yes actually. I forgot to ask since this inn is a new place for me, do you think you can show me where I can get dinner? I mean a good place to eat based on your recommendation. I feel like going out. Yes, that is what I mean." Jungkook scratched his neck in embarrassment.
"Uhm I still need to work some more. So, I can't show you this instance." Jungkook's smile dropped. "Oh, ok."
Jimin felt bad seeing Jungkook down. "Worry not, Mr. Jeon. I have brochures with a list of recommended restaurants with excellent taste in cuisine." Jimin winked and shoved the brochures to Jungkook's hand.
"Just call me Jungkook, okay? Mr. Jeon seems way too formal. Also, I'm sorry for following you around like a weirdo. I just wanna get close to you." Jungkook smiled bitterly. Afraid of Jimin's rejection of his apology.
Jimin who sensed the changing emotions, complied. "Okay, then Jungkook you should call me Jimin as well. About what happened, it's fine. I moved past that. We can try again. How is that?" Jungkook nodded. Jimin gestured to the brochures in his hand for Jungkook to take.
Jungkook said nothing but he accepted the papers. He smiled awkwardly as he did that.
"Why aren't you with your friends, Jungkook?" Jimin could not help but ask him.
"They invited me to have dinner and drinks together, but I just wanted some free time for myself. I see them almost every day." Jungkook replied. "Do you have a map?" Jungkook added, changing the subject abruptly.
Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. He was getting up and exited the front desk, going to stand next to Jungkook. "Map to the restaurants? I guess it's written the-"
"I keep getting lost in your eyes." Jungkook cut him off.
Jimin giggled. "You keep throwing those cheesy picks up lines. It's so unlike your appearance."
Jungkook gasped. "What's wrong with my physical body? I'm hella fine!" Jungkook grabbed Jimin's hand and put it around his torso. "Can you feel my shirt? It was made from boyfriend materials."
Jimin giggled even harder, his cheeks turned pink and his eyes formed two lines. "Your eyes look like a crescent moon. They are beautiful." Jungkook said whispering. However, Jimin heard him nonetheless.
"Stop playing around!" Jimin laughed and punched Jungkook's shoulder with his tiny hand. Jungkook's eyes trailed to his hands, seemingly amazed by those hands.
The front door opened and a cold wind entered the room, making both of them shivered lightly. The new presence made a quiet room change. Both of them created some distance as the new figure walked closer.
"Jimin, my baby." The new figure spoke with a baritone voice as he walked past Jungkook to give the blonde-haired man a big crushing hug.
Jungkook gulped nervously. 'Who is this guy?' Jungkook looked at the man who is as tall as him with parted honey-blond hair, perfect jawline, sharp and attractive eyes.
"Taehyung you are back. How was your day? Is the meeting going well?" Jimin rubbed the man's back and let him hug him.
Jungkook felt like intruding on a personal moment. He cleared his throat to gain their attention and thankfully they did notice him as their eyes were on him.
"Oh..ok I guess I will just wander around the place and see it for myself, the scenery, and other things. I will see you again, Jimin." Jungkook smiled slightly and turned back to walk away to the front door of the inn into the cold weather night.
'Why does my chest feel so hurt seeing Jimin with another person?' Jungkook clutched his chest.
'Jimin, is he your boyfriend?'
'Do I really have no chance?'
Dark thoughts began to seep through Jungkook's mind as he walked in the cold. The cold felt even worse when he remembered Jimin and the person who called him a baby.
'Jimin seemed close with that Taehyung guy.' Jungkook thought bitterly one last time as he kicked the snow around his feet.
Jungkook flashed out his phone and dialed Seokjin’s numbers. “Are you guys still at the bar? I changed my mind and on my way there. Tell me the address.”
"Is everything okay? That guy seems weird to me." Taehyung said to Jimin after they let go of each other.
"He is a customer here but he keeps giving me those pick-up lines. You know how I feel about those kinds of men." Jimin explained as he tidied up Taehyung's hair.
"I have a free day tomorrow. Let me stick my amazing self to you all the time and see for myself whether he has bad intentions or not." Taehyung said, holding Jimin's hand.
Jimin giggled. "You are so sweet but no need to do that. I will keep my distance from him. He is only here for the weekend after all. He might be occupied by going skiing tomorrow and forget about me."
Taehyung pouted, "If you say so then. But I'm still watching him. You have a different aura when I saw you with them earlier."
"I don't know what you are talking about." Jimin avoided the subject.
"Really, baby? Hoseok snitched on you and said that you personally clean that guy's room." Taehyung looking at Jimin deadpanned.
"What do you mean? I do that to other customers." Jimin avoided his penetrating eyes.
"You are such a bad liar. I'm your soulmate, I can sense you miles away." Taehyung smirked annoyingly.
Jimin shoved him roughly and rolled his eyes that made Taehyung laugh.
"Let's go tomorrow afternoon. I miss my baby so much." Taehyung played with Jimin's chubby and cute hands.
"I have to work--"
"Nonsense. My family owns this resort. I say you have permission to have a day off tomorrow to accompany me. I reject any rejection from you." Taehyung's voice got lower as he tried to leave no room for arguments.
"Stop abusing your power like that! Your dad will get mad." Jimin grumbled.
"No, he won't. He loves you as much as I do you, my cutie baby." Taehyung snuggled back to Jimin's embrace.
"Do we have a date? Just for two hours tops, I promise." Jimin sighed and nodded in agreement.
Jungkook sighed as he crouched down on the ground silently watching Yoongi and Namjoon who were skiing to their heart's content. They finally checked out the ski arena to enjoy a fun time. However, Jungkook felt sour. He had been masking his feelings with fake smiles. His friends said nothing but they clearly felt like Jungkook was down for some reasons.
"Stop daydreaming, Jungkook. I don't wanna see you suddenly laughed like crazy because evil spirits decided to enter your body." Seokjin poked his back lightly.
"Go skiing from up there. Enjoy today! Don't be so blue, you punk!" Seokjin ruffled Jungkook's messy hair.
Jungkook pouted. "You ruined my hair. It took forever for me to put on this bandana you know."
"For fuck sake. Let's just go!" Seokjin dragged Jungkook by his hand and led them to the higher slope so they could slide down cheerfully.
As they trying to reach the top of the highest slope they could find near them, Jungkook's eyes caught two figures laughing and holding on to each other.
It's Taehyung and Jimin.
Jungkook scowled. Felt even more bitter than usual but he still let go of Seokjin's hand and went in their direction.
"Jimin hello fancy seeing you here," Jungkook said his greeting.
Jimin pulled back from Taehyung's embrace. His eyes were a bit tearing up. "Jungkook! Hello. Hello to you too Mister Kim." Jimin bowed a bit to acknowledge Seokjin's presence.
"Hello, guys." Seokjin slid in to say hello. "I'm sorry for Jungkook’s behavior as he probably is disturbing you and your friend's moment. Oh, it's you, Mr. Kim." Seokjin shocked a little seeing Taehyung lower down the scarf wrapped around his face and neck and show them his face.
"Well hello, Mr. Kim. Fancy seeing you again in much more relaxing settings." Taehyung waved his hand. "I see you enjoy your time with your friends." Taehyung nodded at Jungkook and their friends who were slowly approaching them in the crowded ski arena.
"Ah yes, we were about to go to the higher slope. This is Jungkook, my cousin." Seokjin said.
"Nice to meet you, Jungkook." Taehyung and Jungkook shook hands and had mini staring contest with each other before they were interrupted by Namjoon and Yoongi. Jimin stared at them worriedly while chewing his own bottom lips because of the situation.
"Good afternoon, gentlemen. I hope we aren't intruding." Yoongi said sensing the hostile auras from both Jungkook and Taehyung.
"Ah yes hello everyone." Jimin shyly replied after realizing other companions join them.
"We are about to go skiing from a higher slope, would you two like to join us?" Yoongi offered politely trying to break the ice and the tension between Jungkook and Taehyung. Seokjin was a bit shocked to see Yoongi led in the conversation. Yoongi gave Seokjin a look that made him understand right away and not to disagree with him. “Yes, Mr. Kim come join us skiing together! You can show us the best slope to go skiing too if you like.” Seokjin added.
Taehyung arched his eyebrow and muse glinted in his eyes. "Well sure why not. We can have some fun too. Right, Jimin baby?" Taehyung turned to look at Jimin and side-eyeing Jungkook from the corner of his eyes afterward.
"Okay sure… the more the merrier." Jimin was about to take Taehyung's hand, but another hand beat himself to do it. Jimin was startled as he looked up, seeing it was Jungkook's gloved hand that held him.
Taehyung looked at Jungkook that seemed to throw a deep challenging stare into Taehyung's eyes that made him chuckle.
"Let me show you the highest slope we have here." Taehyung walked past them to lead the way.
Jungkook gave Jimin a firm look and tightened their intertwined hands as they walked. "We just met yesterday and now we are already in the hand holding phase. Aren't we moving too fast, Jungkook?" Jimin asked playfully.
"Well, I don't want you to get tired because you keep running in my head all night, so I must hold your hand," Jungkook replied back with small smirks adorning his handsome face.
"You just won't give up huh?" Jimin asked. A smile was noticeable even on a cloudy winter day.
"No, I won't. Until I know that Taehyung is not your boyfriend. So, I won't give up winning your hearts." Jungkook rubbed his thumb into Jimin's hand in circle motions.
"Don't worry he isn't my boyfriend. We've been close since we were in diapers, you are silly for thinking the opposites. He considers me as his literal baby." Jungkook sighed in relief but still held on to his hand and wrote random words with his finger on Jimin's hand.
"You can be the one if you can." Jungkook looked at Jimin with wide eyes and mouth opened in shock. They even stopped walking because of that. Now they were both lost in their own bubbles while the others just walked ahead of them and let them be.
"Are we boyfriends starting today? Can I call you my own baby as of now?" Jungkook excitedly swaying their linked arms up and down.
"Ease up, bunny. You have to win the ski race with me in order to claim that title." Jimin winked and slid away from Jungkook with his ski equipment.
"Oh game on, baby. If I win, Taehyung has to give up his baby title for you because I'm taking that!" Jungkook slid down trying to catch up with Jimin as they laughed happily together.
