Chapter Text
With each punch she feels a pain travel from her fist to her forearm. Each movement brings her pain; the rhythm of each punch is off. From slow to fast to slow. She knows she’s probably doing this wrong but she doesn’t care. It scares her. The punching bag jerks back and forth in a constant motion. There is sweat dripping down her brow and into her eyes, blurring her vision, or maybe it’s just her concentration.
What the hell was she doing here? She thought to herself as the events of last week came back to her.

Four cold fingers pressed down slightly into her pasty skin. Each finger finding a home between a groove of her rib. It sends a chill over her body; she desperately wishes to cover up.
The woman in front of her lets out a deep sigh. “This is no good Momo, didn’t we talk about this?”
She keeps her head to the side not looking into the older woman’s eyes. If she could just get this over with she’ll be free to go. She looks at the scale in the corner. It’s kind of funny all her life she’s been told to lose some weight; now that she has to gain it it’s not as fun as she thought it would be. She could almost laugh but she’s sure she would start to cry if she did.
The woman tilts her head to the side slightly looking up at her. “Do you hear me Momo?”
The younger girl still doesn’t look at her she can’t; she’ll see the unshed tears in her eyes if she does. The woman lets out an even deeper sigh while rubbing her forehead in disbelief. With a click of her tongue she says “Get your weight up, muscle is what you need. You’re barley holding your own against those other girls out there.” She hears her shuffling around gathering her stuff. “I don’t know what’s going on with you but figure it out, if not you’re out of here.”
That finally catches her attention, her eyes widen. She swiftly turns her head to see the dead eyes of her coach looking back at her. “Yeah.” is the older woman’s final response before quickly heading out of the room leaving the young woman behind standing in her undergarments.
A mangled cry leaves her throat when she’s sure her knuckles are bleeding. It dawns on her just how tired she is. She’s been at this gym everyday since “the little talk” her arms tired, her legs are tired, her head hurts and she’s pretty sure she’s seeing stars now. Still she pushes on her career depends on it at this point.
Her punches slowly start to die down against her will. Then it dawns on her, when was the last time she ate? When was the last time she took a break? When was the last time she even slept?
“Oh fuck” were the last world to trickle out of her mouth before she sees black.

He let out a breath as he hangs up the phone. That was another asshat congratulating him on his “big win” bullshit, he thought to himself as he pushed the doors of the gym open.
That’s weird the lights are on. No one ever comes to this gym, especially at this time of night. That’s when he sees it, a girl passed out on the ground. Her long pony tail is spiraled on the ground behind her, and she's unmoving.
“Shit!” He says as he rushes over to the girl. He puts to fingers to her neck. Good she’s still alive but how long has she been here?
He lets out a deep sigh as he hoist the girl up in his arms. It could never be just a quiet night for him.

He learns from the nurse that her name is Yaoyorozu Momo, he’s really not interested at all but the name sounds familiar.
“Now Bakugou you sure you didn’t do anything?” One of the nurses asked looking down at him over her glasses. The fuck was that supposed to mean?
“I told you I found her sprawled out like rag doll on the gym floor and carried her here.” He had enough of this shit. It was already bad enough he missed his work out for this.
“Well you know with your reputation and all this wouldn’t seem so out of character for you.” The nurse said with a slight arrogance to her tone.
That had done it. He suddenly jumped out of his seat, fuck this he's had enough. Right as he snatched up his jacket to leave the head nurse came around the corner.
“Now Mitski, that’s no way to treat our hero of the day.” The old woman said to the other woman behind the desk. She then turned her attention to the furious young man. “Thank you Bakugou for your kind help you’re free to go.” Shuzenji said with a kind smile.
He let out a small laugh he was leaving regardless, however the sight of a pale faced girl popped into his head. Right before going through the door he turned to the head nurse.
“Is…is she going to be alright?” He asked.
“Hmm?” the old woman asked looking up from her paper work, obviously surprised he was still there. “Oh Yaoyoruzo, she’ll be fine she just fainted from exhaustion; poor girl looks as if she hasn't sleep for days.
Idiot he thought to himself as he went on his way.
