Work Text:
Teyvat and his damn dynamics!
Aether’s thoughts do nothing but curse this world since he woke up alone and away from his sister. He doesn't know how much time he passed sleeping and what happened to Lumine; and this is a big problem alone. He can’t say he comes from another world and this is another one, even though Zhongli and Venti seem to know everything.
But Teyvat has decided that those problems are not enough to make his life miserable; that world has decided to change his body to adapt it to the dynamics that dominate it.And among three possible second genres - Alpha, Beta and Omega - what does Teyvat choose for him? Obviously the second most problematic gender, the one that needs a week of wild sex - at least every two months - and that struggles to keep greedy and possessive Alphas at bay. The fact that he is a young Omega male makes him even more desiderable; they are so rare, those like him.
<This should help you for the next heat. > Albedo is telling him at that moment, bringing Aether back to reality and away from the curses to Teyvat and his Archons. A potion and an object are placed in front of him.
<A banana… toy? > he questions a little puzzled, meeting the gaze of the green-eyed alchemist.
<It is Fontain's latest invention. > he explains to him with the same interest he uses to converse with Cyrus: nothing. Aether knows perfectly well that he would have received a better reaction if he had proposed that he will spend the Heat with him.
<it's a banana toy! > Aether repeats, still feeling very stupid in front of that genius of an Alpha. Rather than hearing him sigh, Aether sees it: the shoulders rise and the chest seems to bulge a little before the lips let out a slight puff.
<it's infused with Geo energy - mine, if you ask - it will help to ease some of the pain of not having an Alpha with you. > he explains in a detached tone; but Aether can't help but feel the chill in that voice, that is usually animated by the desire for new discoveries. The Traveler can do no more than feel guilty while shrugging.
<And the potion? > murmurs softly, while looking down.
<You need it in case an Alpha decides to attack you during the heat. You won't have a chance to defend yourself. In fact, you would welcome him with your arms, no ... with your legs open. You need it for later, to avoid a possible pregnancy. However rare it is in male Omega. > And again Aether hears that detached, cold tone - and maybe a little bit of disappointment; does he really want to be invited to his nest and spend the heat with him? Eventually he sighs and shakes his head, letting go of these ideas he is having.
It's the fault of the approaching heat. And Albedo has always been good to me. This is why I read things that are not there!, he justifies himself and lets it go. His hands immediately go to take the objects he offers him with a smile.
<Thanks. I will make good use of them! > he states before leaving his base camp on the Dragonspine.
