Chapter Text
It is the year 2785.
Science and magic no longer run parallel to each other but have come together to give rise to something much more powerful, much more stronger, which would not have been possible if the two fields did not close their gap.
In this era, science and magic share the same existence - one standing meaningless without the existence of the other. This process of unification of science with magic was not an easy one, and it did really take a long, long time for this new creation to be perfected but it really was worth both the effort and the wait.
Ever since the Great Union, the lives of common men have changed drastically.
Humans no longer have the need to go to great lengths for the fulfillment of their requirements - be it in the field of work, daily household chores or any other field. With the perfect combination of science and magic made available, things have been way easier than they used to be before. It was almost fascinating, seeing the entire civilization evolve. It was as if the world from a few centuries ago never existed to begin with.
In this new world, humans had a much better social understanding. The modern system was designed to eliminate poverty so that financial problems never stand as a solid ground for discrimination among the common masses. Thus, humans had a much stable and almost equivalent social standing.
With the unification of magic and science, the gap which separated the normal humans from the wizards, shortened. Wizards were now able to blend in with the commoners without having to conceal their powers.
The earlier practices of hostilities towards the ones assiciated with the magical powers were banned. Rather, they were known as the 'gifted ones' and were treated with a lot of respect.
Now there were two things about this new system. Firstly, the emergence of strong, powerful households where wizards were born and bred since ancient times. These families produced pure blood wizards and had little faith in the unity between magic and science.
"Science has never, can never, understand the greatness that our own kind has to offer."
Well, this was their initial thought but gradually with time things got better. However, the clans never seemed to be at ease while
Cyborgs weren't anything new to the vocabulary. But this new system did give them much to their former definition. Cyborgs now, were humans. Well, in a way. They had each and every quality an average human possessed. Their intel core was no less than a human brain. Rather, it was much more advanced. They
The entire world was divided into 5 zones.
Each zone being under the reign of a powerful clan.
Though the leaders of the clan never revealed themselves to the public, in order to maintain peace. It's said that only the five clan leaders had seen each other.
It was also said, that even if by chance anyone except those five managed to gain knowledge about their identity, be it even a slight hint, they would either be eliminated or their memory would be removed.
In short, this was totally a new era, a mix of old with new.
And this was the very same era which would go on to witness something great, something beyond comprehension - something it shouldn't have seen.
Something inexplicable.
