Forced Memories

Summary:

The woman covered her mouth, obviously trying to hold back a laugh. One hand on her face and one on a knee, she kept making choking noises. Excitement shining in her eyes again, she stared at the group.

"Who's your target? We are not letting you get through to them." Yaoyozoru ( /surprisingly/ ) growled.

This made her break and laughter filled the ears of everybody in the room. They, for sure, were not finding this situation funny. They needed to get whoever she had in mind as far away from her as possible.

"I didn't know you lot were this stupid, oh my lord. This is /amazing/!" Unsettling joy filled her voice, where now Todoroki had to hold himself back from lashing out. They were not stupid, they were doing what they could with the knowledge they had. The villain tilted her head with a grin, then pointed a stern finger at somebody near the edge of the huddle. "/You/, green-haired boy."

OR;
A villain appears in the common room and uses her quirk on Midoriya. Now, the whole class knew of his past and he has to deal with random flashbacks for the next week. At least he had Todoroki with him.

Work Text:

The dorms were initially installed so that when they got attacked, they were all together, safer. It all worked at first, and the building had enough security so that they wouldn’t get attacked. Everybody could feel safe and secure in their dorms, not worrying about a random person popping up out of nowhere.

Well, that was until this specific day.
The class had been having a collective study session in the common room. The couches and tables had been moved to the sides, leaving the middle empty so that the class could sit together on the floor. Textbooks, pens and notes were sprawled all over the floor, laptops were open on FuTube or educational websites ( many open ones being labelled ‘for kids’ so that they could get stuff done quicker ), snacks sitting beside the work piles, and students chatting to each other with smiles on their faces. A few people sat away from others, by themselves or in pairs. Voices were hushed, by Iida’s and Yaoyorozu’s request, the scratching of pens and pencils in the background. Every once in a while, a couple of students would stand up to grab a drink or get help from somebody on the other side of the room, so there were the odd footsteps. More or less everybody was happy with the atmosphere ( a certain spiky-haired blond being an exception ).

In a far off corner, a thud was heard, grabbing the attention of some students nearby. Their heads turned to the direction of the sound; an older woman, probably in her late 20s/early 30s, sat there. Her hair was a washed-out blue. It was curly and reached the end of her back ( even with her hair put into two pigtails ), seemingly having grown her hair her whole life. Curly bangs cut off just underneath her eyebrows. Eyes were droopy tired with a hint of threatening innocence, irises a medium grey with hints of green and blue around the edges. The colours somehow positively contrasted her umber skin.

Silently, she was looking over the teenagers in the room, eyes darkening every once in a while when she stared at one for longer than just a few seconds. As time passed, the corners of her lips turned up with something replicating a smile. Head dipped down and back up in a nod.

“Who are you?”
Todoroki’s voice got the attention of other people, and their quick silence got the attention of the rest of the class. The woman rose to her feet and took slow, confident strides to the ‘front’ of the group of students. The kids rose to their feet, huddling closer together. A weight in the bottom of Todoroki’s stomach had him high-strung.

Shigaraki sent me here!” she said in a sickly upbeat tone. “He complains about you guys too much, it’s so~ annoying! He won’t ever shut up, you know? It’s all your guys’ fault! So he kind of just, sent me here - wants me to emotionally scar a rat or two!”

“So you’re a villain?” Uraraka asked. The adult grinned, confirming their suspicions. “What do you want from us? We won’t let you touch anybody here!”

“Oh, no! I’m not here to kill you, not right now,” the villain announced, excitement dripping from her voice. “I just… want to tear you guys apart, you know?”

Anxiously, the students paused and looked at each other. They had no clue what the villain meant ( other than the ‘I’m not here to kill you’ part ) but were definitely not going to let them ruin everything they had spent months building. An eerie silence hung for a few moments until the woman cackled and threw her head back.

Everybody got back into their battle stances - whenever a villain laughed, they knew they were up to no good. After laughing to herself for a few seconds, she looked back down at them while wiping tears from her eyes.

“You’re a naive and clueless lot, aren’t you?”

This just stirred more confusion between the teenagers, a few of them offering grunts and groans as they tried to communicate with each other non-verbally. With no luck on their part, they gave up and collectively glared at the villain in front of them. Iida was ready to dash forward, Kirishima’s right arm was already hardened, and bolts of electricity were escaping Kaminari’s hand.
There was a smug smirk evident on the adult’s face as her attention switched between each of the students. There was no hate or malice in her gaze, just a dreadful amount of excitement ; they were all put on edge by it.

“How about I give you rats an explanation of my quirk, give you an example, then I’ll be heading right off?” Her voice went high and chirpy, clapping her hands together like a lovesick teenage girl. Many of them internally cringed but held it back from showing on their faces.

Todoroki’s eyes found themselves looking at Midoriya . The boy’s face showed nearly no emotion, except for the slightly furrowed brows; like the others, he was ready to launch at her and fight, not caring about the consequences that would occur to him ( just like he had done countless times before, Todoroki’s mind reminded him ). The dual-quirked individual recently learned about his knack for quirk analysis, so was slightly expectant to see his eyes bright and determined, waiting for a quirk that he could pull apart in practically seconds. This time, though, they were dull, neutral. Had he figured out her quirk already? No, he couldn’t have. He wasn’t doubting his best friend’s skills, but they met this villain barely even two minutes ago and had no demonstration of the quirk.
Then why did he look so unaffected by this?

His vision trailed back to the woman, slowly heating his hand. Preparing to attack, Todoroki just knew that as soon as the green-haired boy was fighting, then he’d be coming in right after.

Abruptly, a voice - which he recognised as Uraraka’s in an instant - spoke up. He was grateful, the silence was deafening and made his skin crawl.

“We won’t let you do this! We’re not going to let you ruin everything with your quirk, we all trust each other and worked incredibly hard to get here!” she said, almost shouting. Class 1-A responded with a series of nods, hums, and an eye roll from Bakugou.

Todoroki and Midoriya were amongst the few who nodded.

The smug smirk on the female's face was horrific, to say the least, and suddenly everybody started wondering what her quirk would be. Well, they'd be better off if they didn't find out , Todoroki figured. They should get this over with quickly so that they could carry on with daily activities.

With a click of the tongue, the tall woman said, " Now, now , it wouldn't be fun if I don't get to test my quirk out. So, I'm going to tell you anyways!"

As if looking for guidance, the red-and-white-haired boy looked over to his best friend. Midoriya though, was barely even paying attention to his surroundings. He was focused on the villain in front of the group, expression so dark that it could rival Aizawa's. Needless to say, he knew it was not the time to bother him right now; taking him out of his head at this stage was like waking up their sleep-deprived homeroom teacher from a nap ( it never ended well ). Todoroki pushed away the sudden thoughts which connected similarities between his best friend and teacher.

"All~ right-ie! Now then, with my quirk," she began.

Todoroki's attention still on Midoriya, he noticed the slight flinch when the villain said that. From that, he guessed that he thought the quirk would be powerful in some way. His heart rate increased and he looked at the woman.

She was now playing with her blue hair, licking her lips playfully while continuing to examine his classmates.

"I call my quirk 'Forced Memories'," Todoroki's stance softened along with a few others. " Basically~~ , I can sense negative feelings from people, and if I focus on them hard enough, I can see the baseline of their bad memories!"

She giggled, let go of her hair, and began approaching the people at the front. The three teens - Iida, Kaminari and Tokoyami - took a step back. Sighing dramatically, she turned around and crossed her arms.

"Once I touch my victim with all five fingers, they instantly remember and live through all those memories at once, and carry on having random flashbacks for the next week or so."

Class 1-A stiffened and either looked at each other worriedly or harshened their glare at the villain. For some reason which Todoroki couldn't figure out, she sounded disappointed. At what, he didn't know.

" Unfortunately , there's not many of you in this lot of rats which would be greatly affected by my quirk. Even if you guys went through many traumatising attacks, you've all talked about your past and emotions in one way or another."

The dual-quirked boy mentally went through all his classmates, finding out which ones he knew of which would be impacted heavily by this. Himself, of course, was one person. Maybe Kirishima or Uraraka? Shinsou? Maybe even Bakugou, but he didn't know that much about his past. Todoroki frowned and clenched his hot fist. He didn't want him, or anybody else, to go through the pain. Internally, he knew Midoriya would sacrifice himself to this, but Todoroki didn't think there was much to sacrifice if he were to be honest.

"There's a little twist though!" This took him out of his thoughts and made him focus back on the villain. His eyes were full of anger as he stared at the tall figure. A 'twist' was never good.

"The more the person hides their feelings, the more my quirk affects them~!" she laughed and turned back at them.

Her grey eyes looked around at the students and Todoroki began thinking again. If this was the situation, he guessed Kirishima would be best under her quirk. A little bit ago he learned of bullying and quirk discrimination he went as a child. He was always smiling though, trying to help other people do well.

Grimacing at the thought of having Kirishima go through all that again, he shook his head. They'd just have to fight their way out of this.

"Don't you worry though, I already picked out my little lab rat. No self-sacrificing or arguments, I did the job for you."

All of a sudden, Iida launched himself forward, trying to hit the villain. Engines roaring and arm pulled back for a punch, he propelled forward at an incredible speed. Despite her large height, she managed to move out of the way swiftly. Considering the short distance between the two, it was rather ( definitely ) impressive.

This action made the rest of the class freeze. Iida was fast, a quirk specifically designed to enhance somebody's speed, so how she dodged that was a mystery. A pout was formed on her hysterical face, she looked at the blue-haired boy as if she was going to cry.

Crocodile tears , Todoroki's mind whispered.

"I can't believe you'd try to hurt me like that! You know fully well that we won't have to fight and I'd leave you alone as long as you sacrifice a rat's mental health for a week or so."

Todoroki clenched his jaw. He was not letting Kirishima live through all that again, no matter what he had to do. Others seemed to have the same idea, pushing themselves against each other to not let the villain get him, Shinsou or Kirishima.

The woman covered her mouth, obviously trying to hold back a laugh. One hand on her face and one on a knee, she kept making choking noises. Excitement shining in her eyes again, she stared at the group.

"Who's your target? We are not letting you get through to them." Yaoyozoru ( surprisingly ) growled.

This made her break and laughter filled the ears of everybody in the room. They, for sure, were not finding this situation funny. They needed to get whoever she had in mind as far away from her as possible.

"I didn't know you lot were this stupid, oh my lord. This is amazing !" Unsettling joy filled her voice, where now Todoroki had to hold himself back from lashing out. They were not stupid, they were doing what they could with the knowledge they had. The villain tilted her head with a grin, then pointed a stern finger at somebody near the edge of the huddle. " You , green-haired boy."

There was only one green haired male in his class: his best friend, Midoriya. Todoroki's eyes visibly widened and shot his head around to look at him. What did she need with him?

"Your negative emotions are more than just overwhelming. You've definitely never spoken out about them. Yours can genuinely compete against some of the greatest villains. Seems you're good at hiding it too, because none of your little ‘friends’ suspected anything."

Todoroki kept looking at his friend, who was now looking significantly smaller than he did a few minutes ago, with his back hunched, hands shaking. His expression was unreadable.

It took a moment of realisation for the whole class. Midoriya rarely talked about his problems or past, going quiet whenever the topics came up. No wonder he was so good at comforting and helping - he was probably saying things he wanted ( no, needed ) to hear. A mix of anger and guilt bubbled in Todoroki's stomach, mostly directed at himself than anybody else. Right now, he knew she was right. He was stupid.

The shorter boy didn't try to deny what she said, instead, he just said, "As long as it means nobody else has to do it, then it's fine."

Happily, the female's eyes widened and her grin melted into a smirk.

"Jackpot!"

"Midoriya, I recommend you do not give in!" It was Iida speaking. "We can fight through this together and nobody will be hurt!"

"Deku-kun, what is she talking about? Are you okay?" Uraraka.

The split-haired student watched as his best friend sighed and looked at the villain, hesitation somewhere in his eyes.

"It's fine guys. It's not that bad, I wouldn't mind going through it again. It's an easy solution to this anyways."

'Not that bad'. Not that bad. Not that bad ?! The woman just compared it to villains' negative emotions and was one of the most powerful in the whole class, how was it 'not that bad'?! Of course, he had to agree to it, too! Sacrificing himself for the sake of others not getting hurt, this just made Todoroki's brain burn .

"Midoriya," he spoke flatly, yet when Midoriya turned to look at him, he could tell he picked up on the concern in his voice.

"Don't worry about it, Todoroki, I'm not going to let you go through your bad memories again!" He was worried for Todoroki , of all people.

"Midoriya," he repeated, tone notably angrier.

"Ohoho, this is fun ! Your rat friends really knew nothing, eh, 'Midoriya' ?"

"Just tell me what I need to do and get over with it."

"Come here, lab rat, I just need to get my hand on you, yeah?"

"Midoriya." It was Shinsou, attempting to get the green-haired boy under his quirk. Midoriya was intelligent though and didn't answer. Instead, he took a few steps towards the woman, who was as excited as a kid in a candy store.

While taking a following step behind the boy, Tokoyami audibly whispered, "Midoriya, you do not have to give into the darkness like this. We will deal with it." In response, he just smiled sheepishly and walked right in front of the villain. Seeming satisfied, she leaned down to somewhat match his height. Her slim fingers tugging at a curl in his hair.

Todoroki decided that they were now totally, utterly, useless . Even if they took him away by force, Midoriya would always find his way back and give himself. He fought the urge to look away from his best friend.

The class was silent, ( a very, very, uncomfortable silence, might they add ) them watching as a not-so-confident green-eyed teen let himself get poked around. The woman's hand went from his hair and began trailing down his cheek to his jaw, where she scratched the underneath of his chin. After that, she tugged on his ear, running four fingers through his hair - she purposely left her thumb off of him. She forced her grip onto his jaw with two fingers and made him look up at her, a gruesome, twisted smile right in front of his eyes. Her grey eyes went pitch black, likely signing further activation of her quirk. Almost like a book, she began 'reading' him. Midoriya didn't stop her.

"Lack of a father figure his whole life."

It was hard not to listen to her now, voice clearer and louder than before. Having to hold himself back from shouting at them to stop, Todoroki just stared. He was letting his best friend go through all the pain he had bottled up over who knows how long .

"Mother who had given up on supporting his dreams as a whole and now refuses to see him as anybody other than the weak, scrawny, 4-year-old. She's on the verge of being a helicopter parent."

Helicopter parenting - Todoroki knew what it was, having searched up types of abuse countless times when he was growing up. He recognised the effects it had on people, though not much else. Something inside him made his intestines twist and pulsate.

The villain carried on reading him.

"Faced a lot of quirk discrimination, more specifically quirkless discrimination, after being diagnosed quirkless at age four."

...What?

"Lost his childhood best friend at the same time he was diagnosed. Quirkism."

Immediately, everybody's minds went to Bakugou. Some of them tried to convince themselves it wasn't him, somebody else, and that Bakugou had stuck by his side the whole time after that. A couple stuck to that idea, the others their mind blank, not knowing what to think.

"Faced a decade of bullying. No, abuse . Ten years of abuse, his main tormentor being his childhood best friend. It got significantly worse in middle school, where a lot of his bad memories are stored. This includes: regular beat-up sessions; being told to kill himself; spider lilies on his desk: being ignored by teachers or punished for 'lying' and other things of the sort; teachers purposely false-marking his work; attempted sexual assault by a teacher; quirk use directly on his body countless times. The whole school was on it, including the teachers. He had no support from anybody, forced to keep his injuries hidden from his mother because he didn't want her to make a scene. The boy was also told he couldn't be a hero by his idol."

No… none of this was making sense.

How? Why?

He didn't deserve all that.

Todoroki prayed that that was the end.

"Upon gaining a quirk on the day of the UA entrance exam," A few of them had to hold back a gasp. "He felt pressured into catching up with everybody." Of course.

"Lots of stuff regarding the previous villain attacks, mostly cursing himself for not being good enough. Is convinced he has no self-worth, and along with his suicidal tendencies and high pain tolerance, makes him throw himself into life-threatening situations and beating himself to a pulp just to prove that he's worth something and is useful."

Todoroki could practically hear his heart shatter and was far more than just angry and upset. He was feeling almost every emotion he possibly could. It was too much knowing his best friend went through all this, only for it to be revealed by a darn villain than him telling the others himself, at his own pace.

Out of the bloom, Todoroki saw red when he realised what was going to happen. He was just allowing Midoriya to be hit by a quirk because of his self-sacrificial instincts, making him remember all that and have random flashbacks for the next week .

Making up his mind, he decided he would be around him every step of the way. He would need support, a lot of it , and after all that the boy had done for them, it was the least he could do. Questions would come later if needed but had a gut feeling that Midoriya wouldn't want to say anything. That was fine, he needed to be comfortable. No way was he going to let anybody push him out of his comfort zone after he gets affected.

"Has had a couple of suicide attempts throughout his life, none of them having attention brought to them since he did it whenever his mother wasn't around, mostly when she went out with friends on weekends."

Oh, how badly Todoroki wanted to run to his best friend, hug him tightly like his life depended on it, and just whisper sweet words of praise and comfort into his ears for hours. He'd leave little kisses all over his scars and remind him how important he was, cuddle with him until he fell asleep in his arms. He would do anything to help him - Todoroki felt so guilty for not knowing any of this. While Midoriya was there for him dozens of times and not once had he refused to help him and encourage, he just turned a blind eye and didn't suspect a thing. He hardly even asked about his feelings.

The tall boy could feel the tears in his eyes as that realisation and so much more finally settled into his mind.

"... What the fuck . How is he not a villain?" somebody mumbled, voice too quiet for him to recognise.

Silently, Todoroki agreed with them.

The villain's eyes turned back to their usual grey colour. The students expected her to make a snarky comment. She just brought her hand back, eyed the boy whose head hung low, then put her hand on top of his head, all five fingers pressed down.

" Scream it out ."

The whole class watched as Midoriya dropped to his knees, shaking violently. His hands were tugging at his hair with much more force than needed, tears threatening to fall as his breathing increased. His eyes were wide in terror, his face already red and sweaty from his body shaking and keeping back so many emotions at once. It was the expected reaction - a panic attack.

A weak smile appeared on the adult's face. She took a step back and watched the sight in front of her: a small, fragile, boy crying his eyes out and on the verge of screaming ( just as she planned ). It would only be a matter of seconds before he screams and cries, so made the quick decision to leave right then. The villain ran from the scene, turned a corner and seemingly just disappeared.

As soon as the woman disappeared, Midoriya let out the loudest, most terrifying, blood-curdling scream. It was full of excruciating pain, agony, every negative emotion that was buried in his body. The majority covered their ears with their eyes either almost escaping their bodies or shut so tightly they felt like they were about to pass out. Never had they heard the boy be this loud before. It lasted much longer than they initially expected, leaving everybody exhausted from just listening to it.

It worked just fine for Todoroki, he used this time to his advantage to run out of the small crowd and straight to his best friend, dropping onto his knees right before him.

" Midoriya ," he called. " Midoriya ."

"Midoriya,"

"Midoriya,"

"Midoriya?"

"Midoriya, please ,"

"Midoriya!"

Todoroki bit his lip hard in frustration.

" Izuku !"

The rest of the class looked at the two, then Todoroki glared at them to not get close, or even look for longer than they already have been. Many got the message and turned around, scattering throughout the dorms, trying to forget the incident that just occurred. Everybody was mortified.

Shinsou and Kaminari stayed behind - they didn't seem like they would leave if he told them, so he just let them be, as long as they didn't get too close.

His attention was immediately back on Midoriya when he heard him choking on his tears. Eyes wider than before, he was looking ( or trying to look ) at Todoroki. The latter's expression softened.

"Midoriya, you're safe. Can you hear me ?"

It took a few seconds to get a reply, which was a nod, but he was patient.

The dual-quirked boy tried to remember what his siblings would do whenever he had these at home, and what Midoriya would do when they hung out at one of their dorms and it randomly occurred.

Make sure they breathe, always ask permission. Don't take them by surprise, don't be harsh. Make sure they know that they're safe and not in danger.

Okay, he could do this!

"Okay, Midoriya. I need your hand. Is it okay if I touch you?" Todoroki asked while trying to relax his posture. After a minute or so of ragged breathing and seemingly endless tears, the short boy nodded again. The other male smiled and reached out for one of his hands, gently grasping it and taking it to his chest.

He gave the next instruction, "Alright. you're doing great. Now, just breathe with me. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Is that okay?"

A hesitant nod followed and the split-haired student sighed in relief.

With that, Todoroki began to breathe, keeping his best friend's hand on his chest, remembering to inhale and exhale for around five seconds each. At first, Midoriya's breathing was very far from being in sync with the other's, however, it showed to be working because after a few minutes, they were nearly the same. They stayed like this until he was sure the green-haired boy was doing okay.

"I'm proud of you, Midoriya," Todoroki told him. "Can you see me?"

A heavy exhale and a nod. Good.

"Can you speak?"

A comfortable silence sat between them when Todoroki patiently waited for him to speak. After many failed tries, he heard a very quiet and subtle 'yes' .

The taller student nodded. He could work with this, it was getting better. It was going to turn out fine, he told himself.

"Thank you. If you can, can you tell me who I am?"

"T-Todo- Todoroki-kun.." he muttered, looking right at him.

Said person smiled.

"Are you able to tell me how you are feeling?"

Midoriya sat there for a few seconds, thinking. Slow moments passed until he even opened his mouth to try to say something to him.

"Uh, Tire-Tired?"

Todoroki knew he would be. It was only natural, given he just had his whole tragic backstory revealed and had a panic attack due to the memories forced at him. When he replied, though, he came off as embarrassed: he shouldn't be. The boy felt he knew what the other was thinking, so decided to speak up.

"Having a panic attack is okay, it doesn't make you weak," he reassured. The stunned look in his eyes was painful to see. "This is totally normal and you shouldn't be ashamed of having feelings."

Midoriya just nodded once again.

"Can you smell, feel and taste?"

Absentmindedly, he looked down at his hands. Eyes traced over his scars, making him relax as he realised that yes , he wasn't in danger, and he still existed. A small smile appeared on his face and he looked up at his friend. Todoroki tilted his head, waiting for a proper response.

"I-I-I think. Ev-everything, it-it's okay! Um, yeah." he responded, quiet and unsure, even with the smile on his face.

The dual-quirked boy shot him a look of concern. Even after all that, he was still hesitant to go for help and didn't want people to worry. He swore his selflessness was a curse half the time. Right as he thought that, Midoriya added onto what he said. "I-I'm sorry! For- For, um, s-s-screaming like, screaming like thuh-that- I-I hope everybody is, is, is o-okay."

"Midoriya, can I hug you?"

The question was in no way a reply to the apology given previously; he knew that if he tried to tell him it was okay, he would just deny it and keep apologising until everybody came up to him himself and told them it was fine. The green-eyed friend was taken by surprise, it seemed to him, with eyes staring at him. Shuffling forwards, he rested his hands on Todoroki's knees.

"P-please…"

This was enough to send him towards his best friend and wrap his arms around him as he went flaccid. Todoroki rested a hand on his back and another of Midoriya's head, where he began running his hand through his hair. Arms tightly held Todoroki as he was pulled closer to him. Touch-starved . Midoriya was touch-starved, like him. Always offering hugs and other forms of contact, but none of them were directed towards him, but the other person. Gladly, the heterochromatic student tightened his grip on the latter. There was no way he was going to let him go. He wanted to be with him forever.

“Shinsou called me telling there was a villain attack. Are you guys okay?”

Todoroki turned to see Aizawa rushing through the door and making his way to the purple-haired boy next to Kaminari.

" Physically , we're all fine," he told the teacher. Cautiously, his eyes drifted to the duo hugging on the floor. Aizawa's gaze followed. " Mentally , I don't think so."

"... Right . What happened? Where'd they go?"

"There was just one villain, a woman about your age, I think. She said she was sent by Shigaraki, yet didn't attack us, but wanted to use her quirk on one of us." Shinsou sympathetically looked at Midoriya. "She used it on Midoriya and then left. She just disappeared. We don't know how or where."

The black-haired man continued to stare at the two on the floor with knitted brows and a frown. "What was her quirk?"

It was Kaminari's turn to speak up, describing the quirk to the best of his abilities.

"It was one of those quirks you need five fingers to activate! I think it was empathy-related or something? When she touched the person they remembered all their bad past memories, then random flashbacks for the next week or so, she said. Said it works better on people who hide their feelings, too." Shinsou nodded along with everything the blond said before adding some other things.

"She can detect people's negative feelings, some more powerful than others, kind of like auras. From what I've seen, I think she can 'read' people's pasts too if she concentrates. Told us everything about him. Her eyes turn black when she does it."

Time passed and Aizawa stood there, sorting the information in his brain. He would ask about what she told them: there was no way he would though. He'd wait for his student to tell him things at his own pace and give him the support he needs when the time comes. Right now he needed to focus on getting past the effects of the quirk.

"Midoriya should stay off school for the next week. If he gets flashbacks in the middle of class then that would be disastrous. He'll just study off somebody else's notes - I think Iida will be willing to help."

Todoroki and Aizawa met eyes, the former tried to pull the victim closer to him, afraid they were going to get separated. His homeroom teacher sighed, pinching the space between his eyes.

"Fine, you can stay too. Just to help, no funny business."

"Of course, thank you," was all Todoroki could reply with before moving his full attention back to the boy in his arms. Midoriya's grip on him had weakened quite some time ago, just wanting to be held by somebody instead of him doing the holding.

" Everything is going to be okay," Todoroki whispered and placed his head on the space between the boy's neck and shoulder. "You're safe here. I'm here with you."

The long-haired teacher's smile went unnoticed by all four of the students. He turned back to the purple-haired and the loud blond.

"Can you describe what she looked like? After that, I'll be gone."

Shinsou being the more observant one, tried to memorise physical details about the woman for this moment.

He said, "Long, curly, blue hair in two pigtails. Her eyes were grey and her skin was brown. She was around six foot three inches, a bit taller than you. She wasn't wearing heels. Her voice was very happy. That's all I can remember."

"Thank you, Shinsou," Aizawa nodded. "You guys should clean the common room soon, too."

When the man left, Todoroki lightly pulled Midoriya away from him. He pat his shoulder and reached for his hand.

"Let's go to my dorm, okay?"

The freckled boy nodded, getting on his feet with the assistance of the dual-haired boy.

Notes:

!!! the reason todoroki wasnt picked was because u can kinda tell he wasn't the happiest - at the beginning when he didn't use his fire, there must have been a reason, and then he told izuku about stuff, so-
and for bakugo ,,,, his angry, egotistical self is almost like a way of coping 0:<
'n' shinsou !! he mentioned some stuff about the downsides about having his quirk b4,,, and all that jazzzzz
yk !!!!!! i hope u enjoyed ,,, before the day this is published, i hadn't touched the work since 25th jan, where I wrote 4.3k word of it all at once [^=<

ill probably write the week with the quirk at a later time, because I have other works I need to finish right now and this was just one of the few abandoned drafts!! each day will likely have its own work c':
