Chapter Text

Your eyes widened in shock.
Your trembling from clenching onto the fork before you. “ I’m marrying you to the duke’s son,” Said the count. Was he really marrying you to that sorry excuse of a man?
Your palms collided with the table, Your seat rushing backward from the force of your movement. “ Father! you can’t be serious!” You stated in disbelief. The duke’s son was known for his inappropriate behavior towards women. No one did anything about it because of his power.
“ (y/n). You are 20, Your coming of age was four years ago! Be lucky anyone wants to marry you in the first place.” He grimaced, taking small bites of his dinner.
“ But father!”
“ I wouldn’t have to do this if you acted like an actual woman!” He yelled, slamming his hands on the table. “ No one wants to marry a worthless girl who only knows how to swing a sword!” He seethed. Your father sighed. caressing the bridge of his nose. “ Go get ready to meet your fiance.” He glared, waving you off. Reluctantly, you backed off the issue. You had known it was no use, he was never going to change his mind on marrying you to the duke’s son, And you where never going to accept it.
You rushed to your room, Slamming the marble doors open.
“ Maria, Get some traveling clothes ready. Along with my sword.” you seethed. You refused to be tied down by marriage. You refused to live the life of a doll for the son of the duke. You refused to allow this marriage, and you would put all your soul into stopping it.
You stepped closer to the window you adored in your youth. The large window watched over your beautiful garden, Since you were a child you put all your love into it, You wouldn’t allow your maids to even water your plants.
You smiled upon some of your only good memories at this palace. Carefully, you sat down on your seat beside your window. You were going to be free, no matter what your father or any of the other snotty nobles said.
Your eyes trailed to your precious maids that held all of your essentials. Even as you were preparing to leave, they wanted to take care of you the best they could. You smiled, Hugging maria, and isabella. Your closest friends.
“ Can’t we come with you?” Maria pleaded, Her tears flowing down her face. You shook your head, your kind smile filling their eyes to the brim with tears.
“ Your life is here, You can’t make a living following me around with no pay.” Your calloused hands grasped theirs. “ I will come back when my father reaches his grave, Then i will be the countess.” A wide smile spread on your lips at the thought.
You heard the Shoes of a knight outside your door, Quickly you grasped your belongings, Jumping out and off your balcony.
You could hear the back and forth of maria and the knight, It was amusing to listen to. Maria always had been a great actor, and it had always come in handy.

The sight before you was filled with emerald. The trees brushing against you as you rushed through the woods.
Your breath was heavy, and all you could hear was your shoes trampling any wildlife in your path.
The prejudiced world had long since reminded you that you would need an escape route. A way to stray from the guards, And a way to stray from your father’s gaze. Your eyes stayed wary of any of those stupid guards. Not knowing if they were hot on your tail.
“ Hah, I made it.” you sighed. Staring in awe as the sea of trees parted at the town. The world like fire and ice compared to its opposite, the world of the nobles. Your feet tapped against the ground, while your eyes soaked in all the free spirits wandering amongst the streets. “I want to be free like them” you whispered.
Your trance broke at the sharp sounds of clashing, the sleek steel colliding with another.
You swiftly pressed the heel of your foot into the ground, its force propelling you to the direction of the sound.
Your movements cut through the air around you, Almost as if you used magic to appear in front of the unsightly man. In one swift moment, your sword was unsheathed and in front of the other. Your seething eyes baring into the assassin’s fearful ones. It was clear the one before you was an assassin. All while cowardly profession provoked your rage.
You forced your opponent back with the pure strength behind your sword. And with another skillful movement, you severed the vile arm.
The man’s eyes played fear, pain, and rage. His clasped lip bleeding to stop him from crying out. His fear of getting caught was behind his actions. The assassin quickly made his way out of the dark alley, Not willing to take another chance with your sword.
Amid your exploration, you had forgotten about the Nobel that lay behind you.
“Who are you?” The man called, his eyes filled with astonishment And adoration.
Your body hitched at the sudden call, Your (H/C) spilling from behind your hood. It was almost as if time stopped for the prince, as your eyes met his. His heartbeat was loud against his chest, The same heart that now laid in your hands.
The prince was late to follow behind, as you sprinted off to somewhere out of sight.
“ Wait!” He called His red and white hair playing in the same wind that caught yours.
And with a sharp turn, The man laid still at the loss of you from his sight. With a small sigh, the man clutched his chest. He was sure to catch you one day, and he would capture your heart as you did his.
“ Crown prince Shoto! Where have you gone?” Shoto snapped out of his trance was he heard the call of his name. He sighed reluctantly returning to his worrying guard.
