Work Text:
This isn't fair. He was the one to actually win the damn spar, and just like always Deku got all the praise. If Stupid Deku is so great then why is he the only one getting credit for doing a good job. 'You really held your own in there' 'It took a lot of skill to last that long in a match' 'That was amazing deku' it's all bullshit. As much as he hates to admit it, Bakugo knows Midoria has skill. It pisses him off to no end that he can't even enjoy himself doing a good job. Everybody is just giving him dirty looks for 'going so hard' like he should have just let that damn nerd win. Even his own boyfriend is talking to Deku instead of him. Luckily he was the last spar of the class so now he could go back to his dorm. Since it's a weekend he doesn't have homework, aside from helping his shitty haired boyfriend study. He's still marching back to the dorms when Kirishima catches up to him, linking an arm around Bakugos shoulder. If Kirishima noticed him wince he didn't say anything. Bakugo really did have a hell of a time beating that idiot and it's likely he tore some of the muscle in his right shoulder/arm, but he is too mad to go to the recovery girl right now.
"You did great back there bro! Those were such manly explosions!" Bakugo grunted a slight laugh.
"How the hell can an explosion be manly?" Bakugo was mad but still his boyfriends antics cracked it slightly.
"When they come from you Bakugo!" Shitty hair pulls his head into a tilt so he can kiss the top of Bakugo's head.
"Whatever shitty hair let's just get to the dorms." He speaks gruffly, still too pissed off to have an actual conversation without it turning into a fight. Aizawa was trying to teach him to deal with his rage better. Instead of picking a fight he's learned to stay quiet. Though it usually results in him festering till he pops anyway. When they reach the dorms both boys go separate ways to change. Bakugo uses his mirror to look for damage. As he thought he had big purple bruises forming around his under arms and biceps. That ruled out wearing a tank top, only further agitating him. He settled with a long sleeve shirt and then made his way to the kitchen. Of course just about everybody was in that general area. He groaned to himself and made his way through the kitchen as everyone chatted. He just wanted some food and then to lay in bed with his stupid boyfriend. He was pleasantly surprised when Kirishima's arm snaked around his waist. Maybe he wouldn't blow a fuse. Maybe he can let stuipd Deku have this one time and he can just let it go. Maybe he would allow Kirishima to just hold him while he made food, because even if PDA made him feel embarrassed, this felt nice. That is until that moron Racoon Eyes opened her mouth.
"Who knew Kirishima could tame such a cruel beast." She teased, it was aimed at Kirishima to embarrass him but Bakugo didn't care.
"What did you call me you pink freak!?" He turned so fast that he knocked a couple pans, and Kirishima instinctively flailed back.
"Woah calm down dude, she's just joking. No need to amp it 100 all the time." Dunce's face laughed.
"Maybe you should both learn to keep your damn mouths shut!" He screamed angrily.
"Kacchan, calm dow-"
"Shut up you damn nerd! Don't tell me to calm down this is all your fault!" Bakugo was so mad, this all sucked. Everyone thinks he's some monster for just winning a spar and right now he is proving them all right. "Screw all of you!" He yelled before stomping off to his room and slamming the door. So much for eating and hanging out with Kirishima. If Shitty hair is smart he'll leave him alone.
"Bakugo." His stupid, stupid boyfriends voice sounded behind him.
"Go away shitty hair." Bakugo speaks darkly. His back facing the door Kirishima just entered.
"What's wrong, it's been awhile since you blew up like that." This isn't fair, it wasn't even that bad.
"Yeah well they deserved it!" He growled. His whole body was wound tight and his hands were balled into fists.
"Bakugo, can we please just talk about what's wrong?" Kirishima asked in a tone Bakugo never knows how to describe. It wasn't really soft, or exasperated. It was just a tone he used when Bakugo was upset.
"I don't want to." Bakugo pouted slightly, crossing his arms. Kirishima sighed and walked closer.
"You know it might make you feel better if we talked about it." Kirishima was being his stupid patient self and that also wasnt fair. Why was his boyfriend so nice when he was always so aggressive.
"I won that fight, not Deku, and somehow I'm still the bad guy. Even though I got hurt way more than he did. That damn nerd is stronger than he used to be and I hate how fair the fight is now. Nobody even cared that I won, it was all about how skilled Deku was even though he lost! Everybody thinks I'm a monster for doing the same thing they do just because I don't say nice things all the time." His small speech transferred between yelling and being oddly soft for something coming out of Bakugo Katski's mouth. Kirishima closed the small distance between them, hugging his boyfriend from behind. He ran his hand up and down Bakugo's bicep, while the other stayed around his waist.
"I'm sorry I didn't come find you after the match." He started, kissing Bakugo's cheek. " I figured since you won you knew that you did good, but I should have told you anyway." Bakugo still felt angry but now he felt kind of pathetic for getting upset about it. "And you're not a monster for trying your hardest. That's what we're here to do after all." Kirishima continued to kiss Bakugo a couple more times before he decided he had to bring up what Bakugo had started his speech with. "You said that you got hurt?" He asked carefully, knowing full well Bakugo hated to admit when he got hurt.
"It's not bad so forget about it." He grunted. "I just wanted something to eat." Bakugo sighs, turning to hug his boyfriend properly. His anger had dissipated into just humming annoyance.
"Ya know the caf is still open for thirty minutes. If we go now we can get something on the way back from Recovery Girl." It was obviously a bribe, but Bakugo's arm did really hurt, and cooking seemed like a lot of work.
"Fine but you're paying Kirishima."
