Lily

Summary:

Mikura has a gift for Juraku.

Notes:

Back at it again for another year! I'll be uploading fics weekly this year, so expect some larger batches of 5-7 fics at a time. If you're interested, feel free to stick around for the series!

This was written as part of Femslash Feb! The couple was a request from Tumblr!

Prompt: Day 24 - Lily

Work Text:

Mikura had a special gift just for Juraku. She’d found it while walking to school that day. It was a beautiful pure white lily. She’d picked it immediately, even though it was probably part of someone’s private garden. It was just so pretty, and she wanted Juraku to have it. Besides, it wasn’t like Juarku would ever know.

She sat, as always, on the steps of Hyakkaou Academy, waiting for Juraku to show up. She wasn’t allowed in the student council room nor Juraku’s home, so this was the best way for her to stay in a place where she was sure Juraku would find her. Overtime, the students of the academy had gotten used to her as just a part of the scenery, so she was mostly overlooked.

Mikura sat and twiddled her thumbs, waiting. Finally, she saw the familiar shiny white hair of Juraku popping over the crowd, and she jumped up, running over and pawing nervously at the other girl’s feet.

“Juraku-sama!” she exclaimed, unable to keep her excitement in. “Look at what I brought you!”

Extended in her hand was one sad looking lily. It had been completely unrooted from the ground, and the roots were dripping dirt. Mikura looked like a happy puppy with it. Juraku stared at it in distaste.

“Throw it away, Mikura,” she said, clicking her fingers. The smile on Mikura’s face faded, but only for a moment.

“Yes ma’am.” Mikura ran to the trash can, dumping her precious object. So, Juraku didn’t like it. It was understandable. Any gift from a dog was naturally soiled.
