The bell rang, marking the end of the class. After Aizawa had dismissed the students for the day, everyone started to pick up their thing in order to go back to the dorms.
Shoto didn’t move though, his eyes were fixed on someone in front of him. You were talking with Yaoyoruzo and Jiro while walking out of the classroom. Even after you had left, he was still staring at where you usually sat. A thoughtful expression on his face.
Denki and Kirishima passed by his side, realizing he was still there, completely lost in his thoughts. Kirishima spoke to him.
“Hey dude, Are you okay?” Kirishima asked, touching Todoroki’s shoulder to get his attention.
Todoroki snaps at the boys at his side. “Yes, everything is fine” he replies and moves to start collecting his things.
“You sure? You’ve been staring at Y/n’s desk for almost ten minutes” Denki doubted.
“yes, I’ve just been trying to figure something out lately” He said, as emotionless as usual.
“What is it? We might be able to help you!” Kirishima beamed out in excitement with an honest smile in his face and his fists bumping into each other.
Todoroki thought about it for a second before deciding that it wouldn’t hurt to get another point of view different from his own.
“Every time Y/n gets close to me my heart will start to beat faster than usual, and I find myself staring often” He explained “Do you guys think is a secondary effect of Y/n’s quirk?” Todoroki asked, completely unaware of his classmates’ reactions, who were looking at each other with surprise.
“Have you ever considered that you may lik-“ “That Y/n is a witch?!” Kirishima is interrupted by Kaminari, gaining the attention of Shoto.
Shoto thinks carefully about it, you being a witch could explain a lot of things, like why he always seems to be staring at you, or how his heart beats faster when you laugh or look directly at him. Were you really a witch?
“Maybe you should ask Y/n, Todoroki” kaminari suggested.
“I think I will, thank you Denki, I’ve never thought that you could actually help me out” he said sincerely while leaving his classmates behind and walking out of the classroom. He would ask you during break tomorrow, he decided.
“Dude why did you say that to Todoroki, you know he will do it, right?” Kirishima yelled at Kaminari and punched his arm.
“IT WAS A PERFECT CHANCE TO MESS WITH HIM, I DIDN’T KNOW HE WOULD TAKE IT SERIOUSLY” kaminari defended himself.
“I hope he forgets about it” Kirishima sighed, hoping that Todoroki hadn’t taken Kaminari’s words seriously.

The next day you were talking with Uraraka and Izuku during the break. Sharing your notes for the upcoming test for Ectoplam’s class.
“I still don’t get it!” You groaned looking at the paper full of calculus that Izuku was trying to explain to you.
Izuku was about to explain it again until Todoroki approaching your table caught your eye. “hey Shoto! You cheered.
“What are you doing here? I thought you were with the rest at the cantina.” Inquired Izuku, only to be ignored by Todoroki. Who looked you dead in the eyes and asked
“Y/n, Are you a witch?”
You looked at him confused “What?” You stammered, not knowing what else to say.
“Yes, every time you get close to me my heart starts beating faster than usual, and-“He couldn’t finish his sentence as Izuku covered his mouth with his hand and dragged him away before he could say anything else.
You were left behind, a bright blush covering your cheeks “Did he just… accidentally confess?” Uraraka breathed, just as confused as you.
“I don’t really know what happened right now” You confessed hiding your face with your hands.
Once he had dragged Todoroki out of the class Izuku pulled him away. “What was that, Todoroki?” He asked him.
“I just wanted to know if Y/n is a witch” He replied, as emotionless as ever.
“Yes, but why?” Izuku insisted, trying to understand his friend’s thoughts.
“I talked with Kaminari about all the things I feel while Y/n is close and he told me to ask Y/n that”
“Todoroki, would you tell me what are those feelings you are talking about?” Izuku asked him, already having an idea about what was happening with Todoroki.
“Well, my heart starts pumping faster, I tend to stare a lot and I always want to spend more time around Y/n” He explained, completely oblivious about what those feelings meant.
Izuku had finally catch up and sighed in defeat “Todoroki, I think you have a crush on Y/n”
“Oh” His eyes widened as he realized that Izuku was right. “So that was it, I guess it makes sense” He said, surprise could be heard in his voice.

That same afternoon you were doing your laundry before going down to the living room with the others. You were folding your clothes and putting them away in your wardrobe when you heard a knock on your door.
“come in!” You shouted to whoever was at the other side. The door opened and Todoroki stepped into your room.
“Y/n, can we talk?” he asked. You nodded, putting away the last items of clothing and sitting on your bed. You patted the bed, as a sign for him to sit by your side.
Once he sat down you turned your head to face him “What do you need, Shoto?”
“I think- No, I really like you Y/n” He said, looking straight into your eyes.
You blushed and lowered your head, looking down at your lap. “I like you too, I think I’ve had for a while now” You whispered, fidgeting with your hands.
Shoto softly smiled, and caught your hands in his. “Good, do you maybe… want to go out with me?” He wondered.
“So, you don’t think that I am a witch then?” You said jokingly, making him laugh
"Remind me to freeze Kaminari next time we do training with all might" He said making you laugh
“Yeah, I would like to go out with you” you said, a small giggle leaving your mouth.
He kissed your hand, still smiling he said “It’s a date then"
