Work Text:
The rising sun began to cast over the dim, tranquil sky that was once pitch-black nightfall. Rays of light shone through the windows of Jean’s quiet room. It was mellow, it was still. By the time the sun had gone up, Jean gradually rose up from her bed, recollecting the memories of what had happened last night.
“...Don’t go yet,” a low, muffled voice spoke up. Jean turned her face to the person’s direction as she slowly went back to bed. Her soft lips approached the other and gently planted a kiss on the forehead, not wanting to pull away. She smiled, with her eyes that’s filled with tenderness and warmth.
“Lisa, darling… I have a duty in a few hours. I can’t just tell them my excuse for being tardy is because I spent the night kissing your lovely face!”
“Mm... that honestly sounds like a beautiful excuse to me.”
Jean chuckled and went in for a deep, lingering kiss. What was just a kiss—felt like fireworks that endlessly crackled and flared. Or the honey that never lost its sweetness. Or the thrills of riding a rollercoaster, causing your tummy to feel quite tingly. What was just a kiss to them, felt like it was much more.
Lisa rose up and held Jean’s waist, giving back her kiss. Their bare bodies touching each other, what felt like one. She pulled back and gazed into the deep, blue eyes that resembled the soul-stirring waves of the ocean. Lisa slowly gave a peck on her cheeks, then the forehead, and slowly grazing to Jean’s collarbone. It’s not even their first time, yet their hearts throbbed like it was.
Jean slowly and gradually backed away, gazing at her beautiful girlfriend top to bottom, "mm... It's past my coffee hour... Lisa, honey, you know how much coffee is something I need for my source of energy~"
Hearing upon the statement, Lisa could not help but lean on her shoulder, caressing her back, "too much work can be stressful, why not take your time, hm?"
This made Jean stare at her with a rather, saddening look. The look that you can't help but feel hopeless, and guilty, and helpless, and whatever feels... distasteful. Lisa noticed the sorrowful gaze and gave her a peck on the cheek.
"I understand. Just—know your worth. And take care of yourself. Go get ready now," Lisa gently smiled.
They shared their one last morning kiss before starting the day.
