Work Text:

The moonlight shone through the window. It was the only source of light the two relied on in the dark bedroom. Other than that, the two sat in the dark. Both in pain.

Izuku stared at Mustard who was crying at the time. His tear-stained cheeks and bloodied shirt giving him great despair. He wasn’t disappointed in him, he was just really, really worried. He only hoped the boy knew how much he cared.

“Mustard,” he said softly, taking the other’s hand in his. “Will you please talk to me?”

The villain averted his eyes away from the hero. He blinked a few times, letting a few heavy tears roll down his face. He didn’t want to have this conversation right now. It was awfully obvious. He didn’t want to be another of his beloved’s problems. He knew how much bullshit’s been happening to him the past few months and how much anguish he’s been through because of people like himself.

“I’m sorry,” Mustard croaked in almost a whisper. “I just don’t want to hurt you.”

“But you already are,” Izuku said softly, inching closer towards him. “So please tell me what’s wrong. Maybe we can fix it.”

“We can’t!” the boy yelled, obviously hurt. “I’m a villain, Midoriya! We can never work because our worlds are too different! I’ll only be another problem to you, so I might as well leave!”

Mustard was just full-on crying. This reality hurt him. As much as he wanted to stay with the other, he had to go. He’d just cause more problems otherwise.

“M-Mustard, don’t say that!” Izuku cried, tears starting to fill the lines of his eyes.

“But it’s true!” the other insisted. “I can’t love you and you can’t love me! It’s just the way the world works!”

“But no law states that heroes can’t love villains!” the green ended.

Mustard was taken aback. He was right. He always was. But that didn’t make him want to change his mind.

Izuku sensed his expression and wrapped his arms around him, embracing him fully. Mustard hugged him back, sobbing uncontrollably into his shoulder. He never wanted to let go him, even for a little bit. He was everything to the boy. He had nothing but him. But he was happy he chose to love him, even if they were so different.

“I’m sorry! I’m so, so sorry!” Mustard sobbed, hugging Izuku tighter. “I don’t know what had gotten over me. I just didn’t want to hurt you anymore.”

“Shh… You’d never hurt me,” he hushed, rubbing the boy’s hair. “You’re too lovely to do that.”

Mustard chuckle-cried in relief, looking into the other’s eyes happily. He was so beautiful. He had such kind eyes and sincere features. He felt so lucky to be loved by him. He wanted even more.

Izuku cupped his face and kissed him lovingly. His little moans sent little vibrations down his throat, giving him the sudden urge to pin him down on the bed. He had his hands in his soft, snow-white hair, placing him down gently as he moved down to his neck.

“M-Midoriya…” He sighed in content, signaling the other to continue.

He sucked on the boy’s collarbone, leaving hickeys everywhere. He then reached under his shirt and rubbed his chest.

“C-can I take it off?” Izuku whispered, asking for the boy’s permission.

He nodded, raising his arms slowly as the green took his and his own shirt off. They were both blushing bright pink, their eyes glimmering in the dark.

Mustard held the other’s shoulders. “T-they’re so… big. Oh god.”

“Is there something wrong?” Izuku asked, kissing the other’s eyelid softly as his fingers traced his chest.

“It’s just that-“ the boy had his hands on the other’s chest-“Y-you’re so ripped. It’s hot.”

The green chuckled. “Am I really?”

“Yes. So very.” Mustard looked into his eyes, his hands in his ever disheveled green hair.

“I love you,” Izuku whispered, his sincerity like a wave of some weird sensation in Mustard’s stomach. It made him smile like an idiot.

“I love you,” he said back, teary-eyed.

The green proceeded to kiss the boy’s chest, sucking on his peck as he pinched the other one. Mustard moaned, taken off guard for a sec. It made him a little guilty how he liked this. He liked it being just him and Izuku, two warm bodies in the dark. It felt so amazing.

“Why are you crying?”

He had only realized that there were tears rolling down his face, still a little dazed. The green held him and kissed the tears away, laying his forehead on the younger boy’s right after.

“Is there something wrong?” he whispered.

“Nothing at all.”

As long as I have you, I’ll be okay.
