Work Text:

"Both of you will be the death of me."

"No, Gyu. You're just being dramatic."

Beomgyu only glared at his pinkette friend as the bell on the front door rang above their heads. The cafe visibly looks busy, the loud chatter enveloped the whole store along with the smell of caffeine. He wonders how can there be many people at an hour like this while he follows his friends to an unoccupied table.

"Well, I'm sorry it's my fault for being overly done with your gross couple shenanigans." he finally retorted and sat down across the two. Yeonjun immediately wrapped his arm around his boyfriend's shoulders, earning a face of disgust from Beomgyu, "See? I fucking hate couples."

"Looks like someone is already bitter even without their coffee." Taehyun pointed out, leaning even closer to Yeonjun, "I can't wait to see your face once you see the guy."

Upon that statement, Beomgyu rose an eyebrow questioningly at his blonde friend, "What do you mean?"

"Ever wonder why this place is jam-packed all of a sudden?" It was Yeonjun who answered this time and Beomgyu only stared at him as a sign to continue, "Well, there's a news going around the univ about a new pretty guy working in this cafe."

"So the sole reason this place is fucking loud at 6pm is that there's a new barista?" Beomgyu furrowed his eyebrows to which the couple nodded.

"How exactly gorgeous is this guy for people to suddenly go crazy and overcrowd this cafe?" He said incredulously, not exactly believing what was going on.

"Well, he is pretty pretty , and hot on top of that." Yeonjun admitted, quickly earning a jab from his boyfriend, "but not as pretty and hot as Taehyunnie of course!"

The younger boyfriend only rolled his eyes at the pinkette before turning to Beomgyu, "How about you see for yourself? Come on! The line has gotten shorter."

Now that his interest has been piqued and curiosity has taken over him, he stood up along with Taehyun. The new guy can't be that good-looking for everyone to ogle over him like this, right? People can be exaggerating sometimes.

"Hyung, we'll be right back." the youngest of the three said, leaning down to place a peck on his boyfriend's cheek before walking towards the cashier, Beomgyu followed suit with his empty tumbler.

Both of them had gotten in line. Several people in front of them had completely blocked Beomgyu's sight of the so-called "pretty boy" . He somehow noticed a mop of black hair from behind the counter, which gave Beomgyu an impression that this guy must be hella tall.

The girls in front have finally placed their order and Beomgyu watched them walk away while giggling to themselves, making his eye roll.

"What if this guy is just average and people are just jumping on some kind of bandwagon thinking he is pretty?" Beomgyu told Taehyun as they moved in line, there were about two people in front of them. Beomgyu catches a glimpse of a dimple from the guy behind the counter.

Taehyun scoffed, "Why are you so pressed about this guy getting attention? Scared you got competition who will steal your fans?"

"First of all, they are very loyal to me. Thank you very much. And no, I don't care if he's getting attention. What I don't understand is how the hell did everyone start eyeing him all of a sudden now that he's working in a cafe?"

"What, you don't find cute guys as baristas adorable?" Taehyun queried, and Beomgyu's mouth almost fell to the floor because what the fuck. Even Taehyun thinks this guy is adorable. And it's  Taehyun we are talking about . The Kang Taehyun who hates everyone that isn't his boyfriend or Beomgyu— hell, he even hates Beomgyu on a daily basis too. So why is this new guy so special?

"Next, please."

Beomgyu shifted his gaze from his friend back to front, and his mouth fell even more for a different reason.

In front of him stood an angel. White complexion complimenting his raven hair that falls just above his wolf-like brown eyes. Button nose that Beomgyu had the urge to boop. While dimpled cheeks and white front teeth smiled back at him that it reminded Beomgyu so much of adorable bunnies.

Oh god.

“Welcome to Eternity Cafe! What can I get for you?”

A soothing voice snapped him back from his thoughts, and Beomgyu cleared his throat. Since when did his throat get dry?

“Uhm.. I’ll have..” he trailed off eyeing the menu at the back of the angel— the nickname has now been upgraded inside of Beomgyu’s head. He stared for more than a minute but kept getting distracted by the face right in front of him, it's making him feel dizzy.

“I'll get an iced americano and a caramel macchiato please,” Taehyun spoke up beside him, saving him from further embarrassment while Beomgyu internally scolded himself from getting dumbstruck over some guy in a cute apron, with a sweet smile and—

Shut the fuck up, Choi Beomgyu

“I-I'll get a cafe mocha, please.” He eventually spoke up with a voice so small, and Beomgyu can definitely feel Taehyun looking at him teasingly from his side. He wills himself not to blush. But judging from the way he feels his cheeks heating up, he's definitely failing at it.

Angel guy had managed to hear him despite the volume of his voice and started punching the order when Beomgyu remembered—

“Ah!” He quickly exclaimed gaining the attention of the angel who looks back at him with doe eyes, “I-I don't like whipped cream. I mean.. I- Please, remove the whipped cream. And add extra chocolate syrup.”

The guy only smiled brightly at him, “I got you. Your tumblers?”

Taehyun had passed two tumblers and nudged Beomgyu who was staring ahead, successfully waking him up from his trance. The older of the two passed his own tumbler to the angel guy, almost dropping it for a moment.

“Names, please?”

“Taehyun, Yeonjun.” The younger answered calmly.

“Beomgyu.” He blurted at the same time as Taehyun, earning a giggle from the angel guy.

“Okay, Beomgyu-ssi.”

Beomgyu feels like he is going to pass out any moment from now.

"That would be 9,250 won." Taehyun passed his boyfriend's black card to which Mr. Angel accepted politely and Beomgyu began to drift into his daydream once again.

“You should have seen the look on his face, hyung. He's sooo gone.” Taehyun sipped his caramel macchiato as his boyfriend laughed beside him.

"So what's your verdict, Gyu? Did he pass your cute standards or still a nah?" Yeonjun nudged the male walking on his left who was silently glaring at his blonde friend.

"Was that even a question? He was this close to asking the poor guy’s hand for marriage on the spot." Taehyun snorted, showing his thumb and index finger touching each other.

Beomgyu reached over for Taehyun to strangle him only for Yeonjun to hold him back and use his body as a wall of separation for the two best friends.

“Whatever,” Beomgyu grumbled while Taehyun continued to sipped on his tumbler cheekily, “He is cute if that's what you want to hear from me.”

“Ohohoho Beomgyu’s got a crush.” Yeonjun singsongs and it was Taehyun who laughed this time. Beomgyu immediately hit the older.

“It's not a crush! I just find him cute. It's not like I would stay up late thinking about him.”

Beomgyu indeed stayed up late thinking about him.

You see at first, he was trying to convince himself that he can't sleep due to the caffeine he drank. But the more he thinks about it the more he knows that he is lying to himself because everyone will know that the sole reason he is still awake at two in the fucking morning is due to a bunny smile with a matching deep ass dimple that he can't stop thinking about since he left the cafe.

Beomgyu screamed at his pillow that night more than he ever imagined.

Beomgyu told himself that he will never return to that cafe, ever . But then there is this nagging voice at the back of his head telling him to talk to Mr. Coffee Bunny— another upgraded nickname yes. He doesn't even know the guy's name! He should at least ask for that, along with his contact number as well if Beomgyu’s lucky and brave enough.

Beomgyu knew himself too well, and if there's something Beomgyu proudly knew is that if he wants it, he gets it. Ariana Grande is his life motto. Another thing would be that he is stubborn and never knows how to give up.

So with his gathered courage, he opens the front door of the cafe across their campus. The bell rang above his head at the same time the guy behind the counter turned around to show off his signature smile. Beomgyu felt the alarm in his heart going off loud like the bell.

“Welcome to Eternity Cafe!” He greeted with his sweet voice and Beomgyu was entranced once again.

He noticed that the cafe is more vacant this time. Though Beomgyu thinks it's because classes are still ongoing for most of the departments. Luckily, he had no classes during this hour of the day.

“What can I get for you?” Mr. Coffee Bunny asked when Beomgyu reached in front of the cashier.

“I'll get cafe mocha, please. No whipped cream. Extra chocolate syrup.” He answered calmly this time, and Beomgyu mentally patted himself on the shoulder for not stuttering despite his racing heart. He had also successfully given his empty tumbler without embarrassing himself so it's a win for him.

“Would that be all?” He was looking at Beomgyu with those eyes again that he almost wanted to buy the whole menu.

Your number please. Beomgyu bit his tongue.

“Can I also have one of your muffins? The chocolate ones.” He cursed himself for not being brave enough.

“Of course. That would be 5,425 won.” Beomgyu handed him the amount needed which the other took in silence.

“Your name?” He spoke up again after a minute or two, surprising Beomgyu.

H-He's asking for my name?

“W-what?” He stuttered. Fuck. All of his confidence had gone down the drain and all it takes is for the guy to ask for his name. Good job, Beomgyu.

“The name I will call when your order is done.”

Oh.

Choi Beomgyu, you stupid delulu.

“Oh, right.” Great. Now his cheeks are heating up in embarrassment. The second time in front of the cute barista and it's their second encounter. Beomgyu suddenly wants nothing but to disappear on the depths of the Earth, “Beomgyu.”

“Beomgyu-ssi. Please wait for your order.” He smiled once again before he disappeared at the back to get the coffee done.

Beomgyu did not need a mirror to know that he was blushing red. But despite the embarrassment slowly eating him up, he gets to hear Mr. Coffee Bunny saying his name again.

He decides he likes the sound of it.

Beomgyu learned that Mr. Coffee Bunny’s name is Choi Soobin. He got it from his classmates in Literature who gossip so loud that everyone can hear them talking. Apparently, they discovered that Choi Soobin is a junior majoring in Psychology, a 00 liner, and a Sagittarius. How the hell did they manage to get this info, Beomgyu had no idea.

But at least he finally got a name for Mr. Coffee Bunny. His nicknames for him aren't exactly that good nor cute either.

Rumors had also started to spread around about the cute barista across the campus being two-faced. Some said he's already seeing someone. Now that Beomgyu doesn't like.

Beomgyu loathed rumors. As a popular student himself— it's a well-known fact already, having a “fanclub” and all, some rumors about him would also spread the campus saying he is a player or that his face is fully plastic surgery which are both not true at all!

Rumors are just baseless accusations thrown at a person of interest and people would often just run with it, doesn't matter if it's true or not.

Beomgyu never listened to any of them, no matter who it is. Not until it was proven or admitted true by the person himself.

So no. Beomgyu was not phased by the rumors about Choi Soobin at all. In fact, he was even more determined to talk to the older now to prove to everyone that the rumors are wrong.

6pm, in the cafe across the street. The bell rang once again, the same smile welcomed him. The cafe is almost empty, except for a middle-aged man seated beside the window in one corner of the store reading a newspaper.

“Welcome to Eternity cafe. What can I get for you?” Now that Beomgyu is in a calmer and more rational state of being while around the older, he just noticed the name tag the other was actually wearing this entire time.

Choi Soobin.

Cute name. Cute face.

“Cafe mocha. No whipped cream. Extra chocolate syrup.” He recited his go-to coffee at more ease. Even passing his tumbler before the guy asked for it.

“Name?” Beomgyu felt his heart drop, feeling disappointed that the barista still hadn't recognized him despite coming here for the third time. He managed to school his expression nonetheless.

“Beomgyu.” He smiled sweetly, hopefully, Soobin would remember him this time.

“Beomgyu-ssi, that would be 3,125 won.” Beomgyu handed the exact amount and felt a rush of various feelings when their fingers touched for a second there.

“Please wait for a moment while I make your order.”

“Thank you.” Beomgyu nodded as Soobin smiled before going at the back.

Beomgyu sat on one of the stools near the cashier. He decided to stay this time, even bringing his books and laptop to work on so it won't be entirely about getting to talk with Choi Soobin.

He started working on his music history homework and even had his headphones on while he waited for his coffee. He got so immersed in it that he didn't notice the barista emerging from the back after a while, Beomgyu's tumbler on his hand.

It was only when his tumbler appeared on his line of sight beside his laptop that he noticed the older in front of him. He quickly removed his headphones and sat up straight.

"H-hi." was the first word that he blurted out, and the older smiled.

"Hi," he greeted back, "what are you working on?"

Beomgyu blinked a few times. Did the older just started a conversation with him?

Oh my god, I must be dreaming.

He cleared his throat, "Uhm, just some homework for my music history class."

"You're a music major?" The barista queried, seemingly interested. Beomgyu felt his heart racing so fast but pretended to stay calm.

"Yeah, sophomore year. You from the university?" He responded as if he didn't know the answer to his own questions.

"Yeah. I'm in my third year in Psychology." the other answered, looking at him with full attention evident on his eyes. Beomgyu wanted to get lost on them.

"That's weird," Beomgyu blurted out and before he can even stop himself he continued, "I would have remembered someone as cute as you studying in our campus."

Beomgyu watched as the older's face went from white to tomato red, a shy smile forming on his lips. Beomgyu smirked to himself in triumph, internally thankful that a rush of confidence had decided to take over him this day.

"I guess I don't really go out in a crowd that much." The older explained, face still faintly red from blushing.

"Why so?" Beomgyu genuinely asked, finally having a sip of his coffee.

"I prefer observing people interacting rather than interacting with them myself."

"That's fair." Beomgyu concluded, his mind chanting cute cute cute cute. He wills himself not to say it out loud.

"Oh! I haven't introduced myself yet." The barista voiced out, "My name is Soobin. Choi Soobin. '00 liner."

"Beomgyu. Choi Beomgyu. '01 liner." He smiled brightly which Soobin returned even brighter.

"Nice to meet you, Beomgyu-ah. You can call me Soobin-hyung if you want." the older assured, and Beomgyu almost fainted on the spot.

His crush just called him Beomgyu-ah. And lets Beomgyu call him hyung.

Beomgyu let out an internal scream.

"It's nice to meet you too, hyung" He managed to respond rather calmly.

"Soobin hyung!!!"

The bell on the front door rang, louder than Beomgyu usually hears when he comes in. He turned and saw a tall guy skipped next to him and in front of Soobin. First thing Beomgyu noticed is the light brown almost blonde hair the guy has. He looks younger than Beomgyu, and the guy looks like he is mixed-race as well. He was wearing a bright blue hoodie with matching color sweatpants. He even has the same color of shoe. Seriously, how young is this kid?

"Huening-ah, what did I tell you about screaming? You're not allowed to do that here." Beomgyu then turned his head towards Soobin who was scolding the newcomer. Thankfully, the middle-aged customer from across the room didn't seem to mind the noises as he sipped on his black coffee.

"Sorry, hyung. I just got excited to see you." The other smiled brightly sitting right beside Beomgyu, "Oh, hi! I'm Huening Kai!"

Now that he is looking at him up close, Beomgyu realized how familiar the kid looks. Huening Kai. Huening.

Oh.

"You're in my dance class." He stated in recognition, to which Huening Kai gasped.

"Wait! You're Choi Beomgyu-ssi!" the brunette exclaimed, clapping excitedly.

"You guys know each other?" Soobin asked, looking back and forth between the two.

"Yeah, we share a class together. He is one of the best in ours! Our trainer likes him a lot." Huening Kai explained. Beomgyu's face started to heat up, too flustered about how the younger referred to him.

"Not sure about the latter part, though." He scratched his cheek, and then decided to point out, "But Huening Kai-ssi is one of the best in our class, too!"

"Yeah,  tell me about it. He always brags that every single time we are together." Soobin grimaced as Huening Kai laughed beside him. Too loud that it reminded Beomgyu of dolphins.

"Huening-ah, stop unleashing your inner dolphin! Do you want me to get fired?" Soobin scolded once again frowning.

"Sorry, hyung. I love you!" The younger hugged the barista across the counter, rubbing his tummy in the process while Beomgyu just watched how Soobin's frowning face turned into the brightest smile he had seen on the older.

Oh.

Guess the rumors are true . His heart sank.

"You're sulking." Yeonjun pointed out the moment Beomgyu sat down on the couch.

After seeing the hug his classmate had with his favorite barista, Beomgyu had gathered his things and bid farewell to both of them. He went back to the dorm he shared with Taehyun, only for the door to be opened by best friend's boyfriend instead.

"It's because your face is the first thing I saw upon arriving, old man." he deadpanned, only to receive a pillow on the head. He didn't even mind that action anymore, his head and heart already too preoccupied.

"Fucking brat," Yeonjun muttered, albeit a bit surprised about the lack of reaction from the younger. The pinkette sat down on the love seat beside the couch and picked up the pillow he threw while still eyeing Beomgyu, "Now tell me what's bothering you, or I'm tossing you out of the window."

"That's not how you make people open up." Beomgyu groaned frustratedly, "Why are you even here? Where the hell is Taehyun? He is a much better listener than you."

"Rude." Yeonjun commented before pointing at Taehyun's room, "He fell asleep on the dining table doing some homework while we're on facetime so I decided to come here with the emergency keys he gave me and I carried him to bed. Do not disturb him."

"Cute couples are so fucking gross. Ugh." Beomgyu scowled upon remembering something, and then stood up, "Fine, I'll just go to sleep as well then. Wake me up never."

He didn't even give the older a chance to respond and retreated to his room, grumpily closing the door behind him before wrapping himself with his blanket. He closed his eyes and tried to sleep to forget a certain dimpled bunny guy who he recently found out to be already taken by someone that's not him.

"Coffee guy has a boyfriend?" Taehyun talked to him at lunch the next day, "How sure are you about that?"

"The other literally threw himself at him, even started rubbing his tummy, while saying I love you." he described, ignoring how his heart sank once again upon remembering the sight.

"That actually sounds either adorably platonic or wholesomely romantic." Taehyun admitted, and Beomgyu shrank into his seat, "But still! That's a 50 50! You can just ask him about it."

"We had barely talked, and you want me to ask him if he's dating someone already? That would just expose me that I'm interested in him." Beomgyu argued, and then something caught the corner of his eyes.

"Oh my god." he mumbled, confusing his blonde friend for a second.

"What?" Taehyun asked, following Beomgyu line of sight, "Oh."

Five tables away from them, there seated the pretty barista with a brown-haired guy laughing and talking. And if they're seeing it right, Soobin is even leaning at Huening Kai as he laughs.

"Is that them?" Taehyun asked quietly and carefully. Beomgyu only gets to nod before looking down on his food, feeling not in the mood now.

"That's okay." He felt Taehyun patted his back encouragely and tried to cheer him up by changing the topic into that one time when Yeonjun tried to climb up a tree to help a cat in a branch, only for the cat to jump down safely without the pinkette's help.

At that moment, Beomgyu was glad that he had his friends with him and had then accepted that he had no chance with Choi Soobin anymore.

They just finished dance class, and their trainer had already left the room. Some of Beomgyu's classmates had also left to go back quickly to their dorms to take a shower and go to their later classes. Beomgyu and Huening Kai happened to be the only ones left as both of them don't have classes for the rest of the day.

"Beomgyu-hyung, could you pass me that water bottle?" Huening Kai requested pointing at the water bottle just beside Beomgyu's bag which Beomgyu is currently organizing.

He hummed and passed the bottle to the younger who was standing just beside him.

"Thanks," he cheerily said before drinking from the bottle, "Do you want to come with me to the cafe later? Let's go bother Soobin-hyung!"

Beomgyu smiled at the younger's antics, but the heaviness in his heart remained.

"Are you sure you would want me to come?" He asked carefully, refusing to hold eye-contact with the younger.

"Of course! Why wouldn't I? I enjoy your companion and Soobin-hyung would also love to have you there." Huening Kai asked worriedly, his eyebrows furrowing in adorable confusion.

It's been two weeks since he found out about Soobin and Huening Kai. Beomgyu would still come to the cafe from time to time to order his coffee. Soobin had now recognized him and had already memorized his go-to order.

Past Beomgyu would have been so delighted about that but present Beomgyu had promised himself that he would never pursue someone who is already taken.

After receiving his coffee, Beomgyu would usually leave the cafe. Other times he would stay to work on his homework, have a little chat with Soobin to keep up with each other's studies, but most of the time he willed himself not to get distracted and focused on his work instead.

Especially if Huening Kai is there, he would immediately leave the cafe after receiving his coffee, not wanting to disturb their lovely time together.

"Well.." Beomgyu trailed off, trying to find the right words to say without sounding bitter, "wouldn't it be weird to have me on your supposed dates?"

He looked up only to watch the frown on Huening Kai's face turn into a different series of shock then into a laughing one as his signature dolphin laugh resonated in the room. Beomgyu only stared at him in pure confusion.

"Wait. Hyung, you—" Huening Kai wheezed catching his breath while he clutched onto his stomach, "You think Soobin-hyung and I are dating?"

"Well, aren't you?" Beomgyu asked dumbfounded and stood up.

"Oh my god, I'm so telling Soobin-hyung about this." Huening Kai wiped the tears that had formed under his eyes. Beomgyu just raised his eyebrows at him.

"W-what do you mean?" He asked once again, the gears on his head moving diligently as he tried to connect the dots.

"Beomgyu-hyung," the younger held onto both of his shoulders, "I'm asexual."

"Huh?" Beomgyu only blinked.

"Soobin-hyung and I are not dating! I don't like him! Hell, I'm not even interested in dating or any of those sorts." Huening Kai shook him out of shock, but he only continued to blink.

Huening Kai is asexual. Why didn't he notice that any sooner? He remembered how everyone in their class watched a video of a dancer dancing and was spurting comments about the guy being hot and sexy while Huening Kai remained quiet the whole time eating his egg muffins. The kid even has a whole collection of plushies!!

Choi Beomgyu is the epitome of dumb.

"You're asexual— You're not— that means— S-Soobin's single?" Beomgyu muttered, still processing the new information.

"Yes, that poor guy didn't even have one even until now." Huening Kai laughed again, letting go of Beomgyu's shoulders.

"Soobin's single," Beomgyu muttered again, albeit a little louder.

"So..?" The younger trailed off expectantly, even raising his eyebrows knowingly at him.

Then it clicked.

"Oh my god, Soobin is single!" He screamed and quickly ran outside the room, completely forgetting his things on the floor.

"Wait, hyung! Your bag— Oh nevermind. Yeah! Go get your man! I can't believe what just happened. Oh my—"

The bell rang loud above his head, but the alarms going off inside his heart are even louder this time.

There stood his angel. Wearing an apron which he thinks looks only cute because it's the older who's wearing it. The dimpled smile which shows white bunny teeth were directed at him once again and Beomgyu feels like his heart is gonna burst out of his chest.

He strutted across the room and in front of the cashier, slamming his palms onto the counter, surprising Soobin in the process. Thankfully there are no other customers present in the cafe at that hour.

"I can't believe for the past two weeks I thought you were dating your asexual friend." He started.

"You what—"

"No, shush! I'm not yet done!" He put a finger in front of Soobin's lips, almost dying on the spot for a split second when he felt a spark on the contact before willing himself to focus on his speech.

"As I was saying," he brought his finger down, taking a deep breathe, "I can't believe I'm this dumb that I even believed the assumption that I created and thought that I won't have a chance with you because you were already taken— Although, deep inside I still haven't accepted it because I really like you— BUT THE POINT IS!" he raised his index finger, "I can't believe I wasted my time sulking for two weeks when I should have already asked you out on a date!"

"Beomgyu-ah, firstly, let us calm down." Soobin said quietly, gesturing with his hands at Beomgyu to sit.

"I am calm." He pouted but sat down nonetheless.

"You were blabbering since you've entered the cafe."

"I am calm now."

"Good. Okay." Soobin breathed in and out, "What I'm getting here is that you thought Huening Kai and I are dating?"

"Yes— And don't look at me like that— I already know I'm an idiot." Beomgyu only glared at the barista who raised his hands in defeat.

"I didn't say anything." he defended before putting his hands down and stared at Beomgyu with his expectant eyes, "But I think I do hear you saying that you really like me. Is that true?"

Beomgyu felt his heart bursting in different colors as he stared back at the older and his cheeks started to heat up. But the way he can see a tinge of red at the tip of the older's ears, it seems like he isn't the only one.

"Yes." he answered in a rather small voice.

"Huening Kai was right, we are both dumb." Soobin giggled to himself, "He told me that you like me but I told him that he's only reading too much on your actions. Even though I would also notice some of them, I did not want to think of it too because I'm scared that I'm just projecting my feelings and assuming that you also liked me."

"You— you like me?" Beomgyu asked with eyes as wide as saucers. His mind going haywire with where this conversation is going.

"Yeah, ever since you ordered with your blonde friend during my second day. In fact, I did remember your name and your order at that time but I tried to act like I don't know during our next encounters because I don't want you to think that I'm a creep or something." Soobin admitted, rubbing the back of his head, "But yeah, I like you too."

Beomgyu smiled so wide and couldn't help but throw himself onto the man across the counter. Soobin caught him despite being shocked. They had a not-that-comfortable-but-i-dont-care-anymore hug, Beomgyu had wrapped his arms around Soobin's neck and inhaled his lavender perfume for the first time, ignoring the edge of the counter pressing onto his hip. Soobin, on the other hand, decided to wrap his arms somewhere comfortably around Beomgyu's back, burying his face on the younger's hair. They stayed like that for a while until Beomgyu pulled away due to the inconvenience of their position. They eventually settled on holding each other's hands instead.

"I can't believe this is happening," Beomgyu mumbled looking down at their interlock fingers that are settled on top of the counter.

"I do." Soobin spoke up, and Beomgyu looked up only to see the older looking at him fondly.

They both giggled, still trying to process everything while savoring the new founded feelings at the same time. Soobin played with Beomgyu's hand, and the latter noticed how big Soobin's hands are compared to his. They perfectly fit with each other, he concluded as looked back up at the barista again.

"Can I take you on a date later?" Beomgyu finally asked and Soobin laughed loudly at the younger's sudden straightforwardness.

"I completely forgot you were this confident."

"Yes or no, Choi Soobin." Beomgyu whined, and Soobin cooed at the sight.

"Sure, Choi Beomgyu. Let's go on a date after my shift.” He responded sweetly, staring back at Beomgyu with heart eyes.

“But for the meantime…" Soobin leaned forward on the counter, "What can I get for you?"

Beomgyu giggled and leaned even closer,

"One Cafe Mocha and your contact number please."

Notes:
