You’re in the field with Ray, Charlie and Nate, you’re first important mission, Sara has trust you to complete the mission with your friends, you’re the only one who doesn’t have powers, a atom suit or great skills killing people but you’ve been training so hard since you’re on the ship and Sara knows it, that’s why she’s on the Waverider supervising the mission with Zari and Mick while the other four of you are fighting against Nazis.
But things get complicated, Ray and you get captured by the Nazis while you’re trying to escape, Charlie and Nate get escaped and go back to the ship.
-What happened?!-exclaims Sara when Nate and Charlie show up to the bridge.
-I don’t know-says the man nervous-We were together and then Ray and Y/N aren’t there anymore.
-What?-Zari exclaims confronting Nate, he tries to calm down her-I knew it was an error Y/N went with you-her reaction didn’t surprise her mates in the way she thought it would do but in that moment she doesn’t care about it.
-Calm Zari-murmurs Nate taking her shoulders-Y/N and Ray are two brainiacs, I’m sure they’ll find a way to escape.
-They’ll be fine-says Charlie trying to smile.
-Now we have to find a way to burst into the SS station and help them-says Sara before asking Gideon for the blueprints of the building.
-Can I burn things now?-asks Mick to Sara.
-Not yet-answers her-But I wouldn’t go far away-the man moans.
-We could burst burning the building-says Charlie.
-I like that-Mick smiles.
-No-Sara rejects the idea-Ray and Y/N are inside, we don’t want to suffocate them.
Zari is standing on the bridge squeezing her nasal bridge and murmuring-I should go with you.
Charlie puts one of her hands on her friend’s shoulder-You didn’t know what would happen, Z.
She looks at her a few seconds before answers-You don’t understand, I should be there.
-I think I understand-Charlie murmurs-I’m pretty sure Y/N is fine-she whispers in her ear before leaving her.
Zari covers her face with her hands before sighs Great! Y/N is captured and apparently Charlie knows about us too thinks rolling her eyes.
-I think I’ve got an idea!-exclaims Sara after studying the blueprints of the building, everyone looks at her hopefully-There is a back exit luckily it’s not guarded…
-We’re talking about Nazis, Sara…-Nate says-They guard everything.
In that moment everyone in the Waverider heard interferences-Gideon, what’s that?-Sara asks.
-I think someone wants to get on with us captain-the AI answers-I believe they’re our friends Raymond and Y/N.
Everyone looks at each other for a seconds before the voice of Ray appears in the ship-Testing… testing…, are you there guys?
-I hope they don’t leave us alone-you murmur.
-Y/N, Ray, we’re here!-Sara exclaims-What's your status? Where are you?
Both of you are in silence a moment before you say-Don’t freak out, specially you, Zari-you can feel the roll in her eyes-We’re okay but they’ve struck us, took off Ray’s suit and…-you don’t want to tell what happened to your friends, particularly to Zari but you know you have to be 100% honest with them… with her, and also you know if you don’t tell it, Ray will-They shot us and I… I’m injured, it’s nothing serious…-you try to calm her down knowing her reaction is not the best that could happen at that moment.
-What?!-exclaims Zari-Where have you been shot?
-It’s nothing Z-you explain-There is no organ affected.
-Where?-she asks again with a mixture in her voice between angry and worried, the voice tone she always has when it’s about you in danger.
-Kidney zone-you finally say-But the bullet barely grazed me.
-That will have to determine it, Gideon.
-I mean… I'm a doctor Z-you can feel Zari rolling her eyes.
-You're a fucking history doctor Y/N!-she exclaimed tired of this game-Before you've been in this ship you faint when you see only a blood drop!
-Well imagine the effort I’m doing for no pass out right now-your tone of voice was joking but deep down you’re really worried, both Ray and you don’t like the appearance of the wound.
-So do you have any idea of how we can escape?-Ray asks after a moment in silence-We're trapped in the basement with handcuffs and I can't see my suit anywhere.
-How did you activate the transmitter if you have handcuffs?-says Nate frowning.
-Houdini tricks bro-the man answers with a little smile on his face.
-You're a fucking genius Ray!-you exclaim excited-I know how we can get rid of the handcuffs-your friend is looking at you without understanding what you mean-The handcuffs trick, 1899 Houdini St. Paul Minnesota-you murmur trying to take off the handcuffs-Done!-you say victorious.
-Great-Palmer answers-Press the injury-he indicates.
-Yes yes I will-you murmur without paying attention-But first let me take you the handcuffs off-you take his hands and after a few minutes both of you are free of the handcuffs.
-Thank you-Ray answers and at that moment everyone on the other side of the line hears a hit-Y/N, are you okay?-he asks worried
You murmur something almost unintelligible while Ray presses the injury and yells to the intercom-We need backup now!-he gives you a couple of slaps in your face-Sorry Y/N, but you need to stay with me-murmurs before repeating the action one more time-Don’t go to sleep.
Everyone seems to be paralyzed for a second, the first in reaction is Zari who talks through the intercom-Y/N, listen to me-she says trying her tone voice be calm but she didn’t get it-You need to focus on my voice.
One again you murmur something unintelligible and everything starts to make really dark.
-I'm losing her-murmurs Ray sadly.
-You can't leave me like this Y/N, you coward!-Zari exclaims while a couple of tears run over her face-I love you!-she yells and if you don't be almost unconscious you would be in shock for that declaration, everyone looks at Zari who cracks in front of them and covers her face with her hands crying.
-Change of plans!-Sara gives a hit on the control bridge-Time to burn things Mick.
Mick nods while holding his gun. Nate turns into steel and Charlie prepare herself for hit any Nazi who puts on her way.
The team rescued you, putting in risk the history but fixing everything at the end, well almost everything, Ray and you are in a couple of stretchers in the medical bay, Raymond is recovering of a lot of blows and cuts and you’re lying in the stretcher next to him, you’re still unconscious, Zari is next to you, she doesn’t separate from you since Nate left you in the stretcher so that Gideon will carry out a diagnosis, you’re weak, the bullet had grazed your kidney losing many blood, although like Gideon had said that was better than the bullet going through the whole organ because the death would have been nearly inevitable.
Ray looks at Zari while she’s holding your hand and caressing your face.
-I'm sorry-he murmurs.
-You don't have the fault, Ray-she answers looking at her.
-She put herself between me and the bullet, that bullet was for me-murmurs Ray before squeezing his jaw.
-Still not your fault Ray-Zari says trying to smile-You know how she is, always trying to do the right thing, trying to be a hero…
Both of them are in silence looking at you until the man asks-So it's true?, you and Y/N are together?
Zari smiles weakly-Yes, we are.
-Well, I had my doubts-murmurs Ray and Zari raise an eyebrow-I mean Y/N is not the most quiet person when she goes to your room in the middle of the night.
Zari shakes her head-She's an idiot, but she's my idiot-murmurs looking at you with a sad smile.
-She’s going to wake up-Ray says before kissing Zari’s head-You should rest, I leave you two alone-says before getting out of the medical bay.
That same night, Zari didn’t move from your side all day and you start waking up, she feels you and gets up holding your hand, you’re getting used to the light and when you’re able to see Zari clearly you smile.
-Am I in Heaven?-you joke and Zari starts crying-Shhh don't cry, Z-you murmur stretching your arm for cleaning her tears.
She kisses you carefully, afraid of hurting you and during a minutes only both of you matter, the world can wait.
-Do you remember the last thing I told you?-ask Zari soft after you separate.
You look at her smiling-Yeah… that I'm a coward…-you say keeping the smile, she frows devastated-And you love me-you add funny before kiss her-I love you too, Z-you say after separate, another tear falls over her face-Don't cry Z, I'm here.
-I thought I was going to lose you idiot!-she exclaims hitting you in the shoulder and you do a grimace face-I was so afraid of losing you.
-I’m here-you say smiling-But I admit it’s fair you scold me-she rolls her eyes.
-I hate you.
-No you don't-you answer happy-And you have proved it in front of everyone when you literally yelled you love me.
She rolls her eyes once again before answers-We owe them an explanation.
-Do you think Sara gives us the consent?-you laugh with difficulty and she smiles.
-I do, Y/N, I always did-Sara says while she’s entering the medical bay.
-Sara-you sighs smiling at her, you didn’t realise how much you could miss that face until now.
-How are Ray's saviour?-she asks smiling.
-Better without a bullet in my kidney-you say in a funny way while Zari and Sara laugh.
Moments later appear Nate, Mick, Charlie, Ray and even Ava in the medical bay.
-Guys!-you exclaim opening with difficulty your arms, Nate and Ray hug you quickly, then it’s the turn of Ava and Charlie and finally Mick raises his beer in your direction and you wink at him.
-So…-Charlie starts saying looking between Zari and you-We can finally act like we know that you’re together.
-What does it mean?-you ask raising an eyebrow.
-We knew it-answer Ava smiling-I mean you two pass of hate each other and complain about having missions together to exchange glances and try to flirt when you think no one is near.
-I saw you kissing a couple of months ago-Charlie shoulders her shoulder-I didn’t tell you anything because I thought you had your reasons for keeping that in secret.
Both Zari and you are in shock for these affirmations and share looks.
-Like I told Zari before-Ray says-I heard you some nights going to Zari’s room.
-I heard two women last week in the shower and I suppose they were you-Mick explains-Sara and Ava weren’t in the ship.
-Oi, it could be me!-Charlie exclaims offended.
-I don’t think so-he answers-You were drunk in the hold-Charlie makes a wry face nodding.
-Well, do you have anything to say?-Sara asks looking at you and Zari.
You’re silently trying to process all the information before say-I told you I heard someone in the hallway!-you exclaim looking at Zari-And you called me paranoiac-she rolls her eyes.
