"karasuno, huh?" Hinata wondered approaching the doors to this new school. "I heard they have a good setter, wonder how good he actually is."
Hinata walked into his new classroom, glancing around, it looked pretty typical.
"Hi I'm Hinata Shoyo, l'm from Tokyo. And uh, I like volleyball." He introduced himself quickly, immediately scurrying to his seat afterwards.
Hinata sighed in relief looking at the empty seat next to him, he really didn't want to talk to anyone at the moment, also it would've been really awkward.
"Oooo must be fate," Hinata turned to the small group of boys standing behind him, snickering.
"aren't you a bit short for volleyball?" the group laughed. This sentence is what angered Hinata the most. He clenched his fists under the desk, staying silent.
"the other weird volleyball kid sits in that seat, he's not in today." one from the group said. Hinata rolled his eyes, dropping a loud sigh, a few minutes in and already these guys. Hinata simply nodded not saying anything.
The day dragged on for what felt like forever. It felt even longer not knowing what the heck the teachers was going on about. Class after class of nonsense went in one ear and came out the other. Feeling like he was about to die. He was Saved by the chimes of the bell, Hinata left the classroom as fast as he could. After walking for a while, getting lost about three times he finally found the gym.
He didn't care much about school, he just wanted to join the volleyball club. Back in Tokyo he was in a pretty good team, 'Nekoma' it was pretty popular as well. Not being in that club for long himself, he heard that they got into nationals almost every year. And during the time he did play with them, they were pretty decent. It was really fun, he made plenty of new friends and most importantly raising his volleyball skills immensely.
Karasuno, it sounded familiar. Though if they were a good team he definitely would've heard of it before. Hinata pushed the doors open after inhaling a deep breath.
"sorry for the intrusion," he stepped into the gym. The sound of volleyballs being spiked into the ground was heard, he finally felt at home again. The whole few days in advance were long and stressful, moving, packing. He had to leave his hometown, friends, and his volleyball team. Everything that had meaning to him. Hearing these familiar sounds reminded him of when he was back home.
"um, Hi I'm Hinata Shoyo, I'm a first year and just transferred here today. I'm wondering if I could join the volleyball team." Hinata mumbled nervously fidgeting with his hands. The whole team stopped what they were doing and went to greet the unfamiliar face.
" Hi Hinata, I'm Daichi, the captain." a short black haired guy stood in front of Hinata, he stuck out his hand out to Hinata. Hinata anxiously took his hand and shook it.
"Here sign this club sheet is you want to join the team, when your done give the sheet to me or Suga," Daichi said pointing at the smiling grey haired boy standing next to him.
"OK" Hinata took the sheet without hesitation and filled it in on the spot. "here," Hinata handed the sheet back to Daichi, Daichi quickly scanned over it with Suga looking over his shoulder. They both looked at each other after both nodding at the same time.
"Your in."
A large beaming smile immediately appeared on the red head's face. That was fast, he didn't expect to be let into the team so fast. He was really excited to come back to volleyball, it's been a while.
"let me introduce you to the team." daichi said looking at the group of people standing behind him.
"So you already know Suga, he's a Setter and pinch server,third year, like me. " Suga smiled at Hinata giving him a friendly wave.
"This is Asahi, he the Ace,he's also third year. " Daichi said emphasising on the word 'Ace' pointing at a tall long haired guy, He blushed also waving at Hinata. Hinata bowed in response.
"This is Nishinoya, He's our Libro. A second year. " Daichi looked over at the short guy, he was even shorter than Hinata.which was a surprise. He had spiky hair that was standing up, a bit at the front being blond. Nishinoya jumped up excitedly frantically waving at Hinata showing an incredibly bright smile.
"This here is Tanaka, he's a winged spiker, Second year." This guy was bald, he stood next to Nishinoya, also messing around waving at Hinata.
" This is Ennoshita, He's a Winged Spiker, Second year." a pretty average looking guy with short black hair waved at Hinata,
" Here we also have Kinoshita and Narita, Kinoshita's a Pinch Server and winged spiker, Narita's a Middle Blocker, they're both second years as well. " a dirty blond haired boy and another bald guy softly smiled and waved.
"Here we have Tsukishima, Middle blocker, 1st year," Hinata's eyes slightly widened at that, the guy was towering over Hinata, That height in 1st year!? The glasses wearing blond, nodded at Hinata.
"Next to him we have Yamaguchi, He's a Pinch Server, 1st year." The spiky grayish green haired, freckle covered boy warmly smiled at hinata.
"Pleasure you meet you all," Hinata said Bowing to everyone.
"Oh also, we have Kageyama, he's a first year Setter. But he's not in today." Daichi added.
That was probably the kid the guys in Hinata's class mentioned earlier, wonder how good he is.
"OK, now Hinata. We saw on the sheet you said you had past experience with volleyball, what team were you in before?" Daichi asked Hinata while walking into the storage room to grab a tracksuit for Hinata.
"Oh, uh, I used to be in this team called Nekoma." the whole room paused for a minute and went silent. All the heads turned to Hinata.
"Really!" Nishinoya asked jumping up and down. "I heard they're crazy good!" Tanaka exclaimed joining Nishinoya. Hinata was all of a sudden flooded with questions. Hinata laughed,
"Yeah yeah, they're pretty good." he said still giggling. "after you change you gotta show us what you got!" Nishinoya and Tanaka excitedly spurted.
"Yeah, Hinata, you gotta show us how well you play." Suga said, followed by nods from the other second years.
"OK, just lemme change first.
