Chapter Text

“Will, come in.” Hannibal already said it three times but the Alpha, who was sitting on the sofa of the waiting room, looked like he hadn't heard.

Hannibal walked to Will and stand-in front of him.

“It’s rubbish.” Will found out the assignment with a silhouette, he looked up.

“Will, Come in. I've already said it four times .”

“I’m so sorry about this. I can’t hear you because of this kind of rubbish assignment.” Will tidy up his thing.

“What are the students doing wrong? The grammar mistakes?” Hannibal helping Will to tiny up.

“They use The Chesapeake Ripper as an example in the assessment but in the wrong way. It's an affront to him.” Will hasn't noticed the smile from Hannibal, he just focuses on tiny up. After that, Will and Hannibal went into the treatment room.

But this time, Will hasn’t omitted the behavior from Hannibal.

“Did you just smell me?”

“Difficult to avoid.”

“But Beta can’t smell any scent from Alpha or Omega.”

“Of course,Beta can’t do it.”

“Dr. Lecter, don't you think it's so strange？”

“About I smell on you？”

“Yes...”Will always feel strange about Hannibal's weird behavior.

“I can smell a lot of things. Even though I'm far 1 kilometer from you, I still can smell your horrible aftershave.” Hannibal has a good technique to ironic Will.

“Maybe you should not empathize with the killer.”

“Do you mean I should empathize with the victims?”

“You are Alpha the same as the victims. I think if you empathize with the victims it can help you find the reason why they were killed.”

Will tools out the case photos from his bag and trying to empathize with the victims.

“No, it's still useless.”

“Is it because you don't have the bite scare?”

“Do you think I should find someone to bite me and let me empathize?”

“Have you try?”

“No.”

“Do you want to try?”

“Would you help me?”

“If you ask.”

“Fine. It looks like I don't have another idea.”

Hannibal stands behind Will. Will tilted his head aside and revealed his neck.

Hannibal opens his mouth and bites Will, the bite scar brand on Will's neck. Hannibal finishes the first step of his plan, the plan of Will becoming an Omega. From now, let's see how often Will uses that aftershave, to decide when Will is metamorphosis.

“How do you feel?”

Will looks at the photos but his eyes are hollow and do not respond to Hannibal.

Hannibal knows what happened to Will now. He goes to sit on the black sofa that is opposite Will. Hannibal tools out his picture album and draws Will. Waiting Will finished his empathize.

Will took a breath and returned to reality from a world of empathy.

“Will, welcome back.”

“Your advice is so useful.” Will stand up from the sofa. “ Wolf Hunter and the victims know each other, or they know someone. The bite scar is the reason why Wolf Hunter killed them. He thirsts the bite scar.”

Will put on his jacket and went to the door. “I'm sorry Hannibal, I need to go out and find Jack. I think I understand Wolf Hunter now.”

“Will, wait a moment.” Hannibal handed Will the gift he left behind.“I'm so interested in your smell next time.”

“I promise next time I will not smell horrible next time.” Will took the aftershave and then left from Hannibal clinic.

“That kind of Alpha bitchs are deservedly. My Omega is killed by them.” A beta who gets the handcuffs on his hand.

“Are they using the bite scar to control your Omega, Wolf Hunter?” Will sits opposite of the serial killer.

“I'm watching how my Omega broke. She suicided in front of me, so that's why I got my revenge on Alpha.” Wolf Hunter weeping when he says it to Will.

Will stands up because he already has all the evidence and the ‘Wolf Hunter’ case will be closed file.

“My revenge is already done, so I don't mind what my sentence is.” Wolf Hunter says it before Will leaves the trail room.

When Will comes out from the trial room, he sees an Alpha in the corridor waiting for him.

“Is it real what he says? Is he the Wolf Hunter?” Jack asking Will.

“He is matching with the profile and he has good enough criminal motivation. The Omega who fell in love with Wolf Hunter, got the bite by a group of alpha. In the end, omega suicided because she was broken by that kind of alphas.” Will can feels the sadness from Wolf Hunter.

“The Wolf Hunter just did what normal people do, revenge for his lover. I believe forensic dentistry will provide the Alpha victims bitten by Wolf Hunter.”Will gives the document to Jack.

"Anyway, we successfully arrested him." Jack doesn't feel sad the same as Will.

“No, Jack, we are loose. The Wolf Hunter surrenders after he finishes his revenge. We haven't stopped the crime.” Will leaves from the corridor and brings disappointment.

“Come in, Will.” Hannibal opens the treatment room when it's on time.

“FBI close the Wolf Hunter file.” Will walks into the treatment room.

Hannibal catches the scent from the air, it comes from Will. The bottle of the aftershave mixed with the chemicals is perfectly affecting Will, and it makes Hannibal know his manufacture is successful.

Will looking at the smile on Hannibal's face, he knows the feeling of Hannibal. “It looks like it makes you happy.”

“Do you mean the close file?”

“No, you noticed I used the aftershave that you gave me.”

“Of course.”

“It's very good, all the stuff is following your mind.”

“Sounds like you hope me to get some bad luck.”

“No, it's just about bad luck in Wolf Hunter's case.” Will fall on the sofa.

“How could? You said it closed the file.” Hannibal sits near Will, their knees touching each other.

“He surrendered, so it closed. Jack and I do not arrest him successfully.”

“At least he will not kill anymore. Will, you should be optimistic.”

“It's not about whether he will keep killing or not, it's about…” Will can't explain to Hannibal.

“It’s about your feelings, you feel Wolf Hunter is right. Also, you and Jack are not stopping Wolf Hunter, he wants to stop. He shakes your justice.”

“I don't think Wolf Hunter is wrong, he just wants to get the fair for his Omega. He is so wretched.”

Hannibal hasn't missed a drop of tear from Will's eye. He can see the change from Will, the grim as Alpha becomes the pity as Omega.

“ You are questioning about working for the FBI.”

“Can you tell me it is correct or not?”

“Will, you are unstable about your mental health.

“Of course, I’m always unstable.” Will remembers the reasons that Alana rejected him.

Hannibal leaves the sofa and takes a metal box from the drawer. He goes back to Will with the mystery.

“What's that?” Will feels curious about Hannibal's behavior.

“I was a surgeon many years before, that makes me get the private collection from the Drug manufacturer. Of course, some of them with a few side effects.”

“Are you planning to inject the dragon me?”

“No, I just give you a suggestion to make you feel better. You have the right to accept or reject.”

Will pulling up the sleeves reveals the arm, the red blood vessels have a strong contrast to the snowy arm but Hannibal stops Will.

“Will, are you sure? You may not go back.”

“Drug addiction better than murder addiction.” Will takes off Hannibal's hand and opens the mental box. Will wants to escape from the mental pain as soon as possible.

Hannibal disinfects Will’s arm, he finds Will’s skin has been changed. The rough skin as Alpha becomes smooth as Omega. Hannibal knows it's because of his bite and the chemical.

Hannibal takes out the syringe from the metal box, Will is pierced by the syringe.

Hannibal can see the drug flowing under Will's skin.

Hannibal can smell the drug effect in Will’s body.

Hannibal can imagine what happens next to Will.

“Did you just smell me?” Will realizes Hannibal smells him again.

“Difficult to avoid.” Hannibal gives a smile to Will.

Hannibal can hear the noise from out of the door but this is not the reason to get his attention. He could smell the strong Omega smell, a savage sweetness.

Hannibal walks out of the door, plans to welcome a becoming boy. When Hannibal opens the door, something falls into his chest.

“I need you,Hannibal,please.”Will is shaking.

Hannibal lets Will into the home and helps him to sit on the sofa.

Will feels something cover his shoulder, he looks to that. Hannibal is covering a blanket on Will.

“I'm feeling some wrong, I smell like…” Will can't say it out.

“Smell like an Omega. ” Hannibal says the word out.

“Aren’t you a beta? How can you smell it?”

“Have you told Jacke before you come here?” Hannibal hasn't answered Will’s question.

“No.” Will shakes his head.

“Alana or anyone else？” Hannibal keeps asking.

Will keeps shaking his head.“No.”

“Very good.” Hannibal poured a glass of ‘water’ for Will. "Drink it, it’s good for you."

The only thing Will can rely on now is Hannibal, so he follows what Hannibal said. The cold liquid runs down his throat to soothe the discomfort.

This feeling makes Will drink the water more so that Will ignored the peculiar smell in the water.

“Are you feeling better?” Hannibal asks.

“No, I still feel not right.”Will kept wiping sweat from his face.

“Give me your hand.” Hannibal takes out the metal box same as last time.

Will gives the hand to Hannibal. However, he loses control of empathy, Will empathizes with Hannibal.

“No.” Will stops giving the hand to Hannibal. Will sees the clue.

“ Will, this is good for you.”

Run. “ I feel better now. I want to go back home now.” Will trying to leave the sofa.

"Your situation is very unstable, I suggest you stay here."

"No need." Will can see everything now, the needle, the bottle of aftershave, the bite mark. Will knows that Hannibal has a plan in mind.

Will dragged his heavy body towards the door, but immediately he felt the daze and fell to the ground.

"Will, you should stay here." Hannibal walked to Will's side with the syringe in his hand. "You should listen to me."

Before Will said no, he already passed out.

Hannibal inserted the syringe into Will's arm and injected the medicine into the vein. Then he held Will and headed to the basement.

The cage in the basement has been prepared for a long time, for this day to come.

Hannibal puts Will on the bed of the prison and prepares a lot of blankets for him. Hannibal knows Will needs these blankets.

Will has been very unconscious during this time, he can't identify the reality and illusion. But one thing he sure that is he always feels cold, even his forehead is covered with sweat.

Will heard the sound of the door opening, and the man who had imprisoned him came in with food and wet towels.

Hannibal looked at Will, Will lying on the bed immobile, looking like he is becoming. Those dark brown blankets were like puparium wrapping Will, waiting for him to emerge.

"What did you do to me?" Will finally caught a little of his soberness.”

"I just turned you into an Omega." Hannibal wiped Will's face with a wet towel.

Will was shocked by this, he had never heard of Alpha or Beta becoming Omega.

“No. This is impossible.” Will knows the present technology can not change gender.

“It's true, Will. You can smell yourself, your scent the same as Omega.”

“But you are Beta, you can't get any benefit if I become Omega.”

“My little Will, I've never said I'm Beta.”

“So what the hell are you?”

“I'm Enigma, the gender should be extinct.” Hannibal keeps saying. "It has been documented that the last Enigma existed more than four hundred years ago. The surface characteristics of Enigma are similar to Beta, and no smell or detection can be distinguished.”

“However, Enigma can smell the scent of Alpha or Omega. The Enigma’s bite marks on a person can change that person’s gender.” Hannibal explained everything about Enigma. “It's also bound with Omega."

“I will put you in prison.” Will swears. Will can't accept Hannibal makes him become Omega.

“No, you won't.” Hannibal is so confident. Later Hannibal leaves the cage.

The sound of the door locking is breaking Will, he can't see the future.

“We still haven't found Will.” Jack said it to Hannibal.

“Jack, We need to find out where Will is. He is so unstable.” Hannibal sitting in Jack's office. “ He's already missing two weeks.”

"Hannibal, calm down. When you informed me that Will did not meet with you in the clinic, I have already sent a missing record to the FBI. If there is a clue, I will follow it to the end."

"I'm sorry, Jack. It's just that Will is my friend and I am very worried about him." Hannibal's acting skills are very good.

After Hannibal left, Jack was in the office thinking about why Will disappeared.

“What are you drawing?”Although Will is still shaking, it gradually stabilizes his body. He feels better, but he also knows that means he is becoming an Omega.

“You.”Hannibal answered shortly.

“I feel different.”

Hannibal puts down the drawing and walks near Will to check him. “ You will become an Omega soon.”

When Will escapes eye contact with Hannibal, he finds the one picture he saw before, Wound Man. Same as the victim of The Chesapeake Ripper.

“Are you The Chesapeake Ripper?” Shaking is not only on Will’s body but also the voice.

Hannibal follows the direction Will look and sees that Wound Man. “ Looks like you won't lose your talent, even if you become an Omega.”

“You are the devil.”

“That hurt.” Hannibal's speaking is not matching with his tone.

“Jack will find you.”

“I'm not surprised.” Hannibal sits back on the chair and keeps drawing Will.

Will knows it is impossible to escape from here, the only hope that Jack rescues.

Jack sitting in the office seemed to have received Will's favor and traced the clues. A closed-circuit television record of a restaurant theft accidentally came to his eyes, he was just passing through the offices of other colleagues.

In the recording, Jack saw Will. Then Jack immediately inquired about the record information with his colleagues. The time, date, and location were all learned, which coincided with Will's disappearance. The restaurant was located near a psychologist's house, which made Jack realize something.

Jack repeatedly confirmed that Hannibal was not at home, and he decided to sneak into the house. Jack was planning to lead his subordinates to provide support, but his boss Kade Purnell rejected his application for lack of evidence.

Even though Jack had expressed his suspicion of the psychologist, the Alpha female boss still refused and issued an order to prohibit Jack’s subordinates from attending the mission.

Jack pried the door of Hannibal’s house and successfully entered the interior. He checked every room, but still found nothing. Jack walked into the kitchen, somehow driving him to check the refrigerator.

The first thing he found was a fresh kidney, which made him continue to search inside. Jack saws heart, lung, and liver. He knows these can be evidence after assaying.

Jack decided to take a kidney. When he leaves the kitchen, he accidentally knocks down the red wine on the kitchen counter. The red wine bottle broke, the wine smeared the floor. But Jack saw the wine stopped flowing in front of a certain floor.

Jack knows some things under the floor. Jack opened that floor, a stair appeared, and invited him to seek the fact. Jack going down the stairs.

In the cages of the basement, Will can smell Alpha coming. He knows it is Jack. Will leaves the bed but he is so weak.

“Jack!” Will falls.

Jack hears the sound from Will. He followed the sound and finally found Will in a cage with the smell of Omega.

“Will！Great, you are still alive. I thought the situation would be worse.” Jack thought about the kidney from Will. “But why do you have this smell?”

“It's because of Hannibal, he is a serial killer and he is —”

“The Chesapeake Ripper, I should know that. Let me help you get out of here first.” Jack pried the cage and helped Will get out of the cage.

Even with Jack’s help, Will can't walk nicely. Will falls near the wall and accidentally opens the light of the basement. Now, Will can see the full view of the basement.

Jack and Will both looked at the basement and at the same time looked to the back. They knew a man watching them.

The gunshots sounded, but they were all dogged by Hannibal. Hannibal gets closer to Jack and m attacks Jack's throat with the scalpel.

Jack pushes Will away to escape the attack from Hannibal. Will fell again, was still weak, and could only watch the battle between Hannibal and Jack.

Jack is shooting. However, Hannibal kicks away his gun. The bullet penetrated the wooden floor of the kitchen.

Will can't Identify the blood on the floor from who. And the bruise on their face from which attack.

Finally, Jack has the stronger Alpha power. Jack pressed Hannibal on the ground. Jack feels he is so weak. He hopes he can kill Hannibal before he falls.

Will wanted Hannibal to die. But now he is confused.

Every time Hannibal gets attacked by Jack, Will has a desire to protect him. Will is looking at the gun that was kicked away.

Hannibal knows if he still does not fight back, he will die. He is holding the scalpel and going to attack Jack's throat. Before the attack, Hannibal smells Will differently.

Hannibal released the scalpel in his hand and gave up the struggle. He knew that his butterfly was going to burst out of the pupa, and his butterfly was going to make his first kill after being Omega.

The gunshot sounded for the last time, and Jack's blood splashed on Hannibal's face like a sacrifice. Hannibal's strangled neck returned to freedom, and he could breathe the smell of Omega.

Hannibal got the gun from Will. “You are dirty, I will take you to clean it.” Hannibal helped Will to stand up and took him to the bathroom in the house.

Will sits in the bathtub with water almost covering his whole body. Will looks at his hands. He can't believe that he just killed Jack.

“You did a great job.” Hannibal kissed Will on the forehead.

It is reasonable that Will feels disgusted with Hannibal's behavior, but he feels sweet in his heart because of being appreciated.

“I can't go back, right?” Will knows what kind of future is waiting for him.

“But I will be with you.” Hannibal paused for a while and then said, “Forever.”

Will closed his eyes and smelled the bathroom. There was also a smell that was not like Alpha or Omega, a new smell that could soothe himself.

Kade Purnell walked into Hannibal’s basement. She could see Jack's body and it was cold. She regretted that she couldn't describe her current mood. Now she can only issue a wanted order for Hannibal, wishing to arrest him.

On the plane to Italy, a stewardess brought red wine to a seat. “Sir, this is your red wine. Also, do
you need the blanket for your Omega?” The stewardess gives the blanket.

"Great, thank you very much." Hannibal took the blanket and draped it on Will.

Will closed his eyes and leaned quietly on Hannibal's shoulder. Hannibal knows Will is getting rest.

It is attractive to Will’s Omega smell. Hannibal is willing to enjoy it for the living of his life.

“Did you just smell me?” Will's tone is very gentle.

“Difficult to avoid.”Hannibal’s tone is gentle too.
This made Hannibal hear the laughter from Will.

As an Alpha who sells fruits and vegetables in the market, Burnell most expects to meet the beautiful Omega, and this day he met.

The enticing smell of Omega made Burnell look up. A male Omega with dark curly hair came to his booth and planned to buy.

This Omega does not have the same beauty as other female Omegas. However, the smell is more attractive than other Omegas.

“May I help you?” Burnell tried to talk with him.

“I just need some tomatoes and cucumbers.”

Burnell immediately selected the best tomatoes and cucumbers for Omega and packed them in paper bags.

When Burnell handed the vegetables to Omega, he discovered that his belly was bulging, which made Burnell know that Omega was pregnant. But what about being pregnant, which only makes Burnell find Omega is more attractive.

“May I ask what your name is?” Burnell decided to get to know this Omega well.

“Wi—, ”Omega stopped a little bit.“Lyndon Fell.”

"Lyndon, your name sounds good. Are you free tonight?"

“He has a date with me tonight.” The man who answered Burnell is not Omega. A man walking to Omega and he hasn't any smell. Burnell guesses he is a Beta.

"You? Who are you? Why does this Omega have an appointment with you?" Burnell interrogates the Beta.

Beta doesn't seem to be afraid. Instead, Beta despised Burnell with contemptuous eyes.

“I'm Dr. Roman Fell, the curator of Capponi Library, and I am Lyndon's husband. We plan to celebrate the first anniversary of our wedding tonight.” Hannibal never lets Burnell have a chance to date with Will.

Burnell was angry at this but helpless. In the scene just now, Omega's husband warned other Alphas not to look at Omega in any way.

Hannibal took the vegetables from Will and took Will away in front of Burnell. Burnel, who was standing in his stall, returned to his lonely identity.

Hannibal and Will returned home. Because Will is pregnant now, Hannibal helps Will with a lot of things. Like taking off his coat and changing home slippers that made pregnant women feel more comfortable.

Hannibal helped Will sitting on the sofa and then began to put the items he just bought back into the kitchen cabinet.

"That Alpha is really rude, you are obviously pregnant, but he still woos you." Hannibal complained to Will about what just happened at the market.

“Did you not think about this when you turned me into an Omega?” Will stroked the baby who was about to be born across his belly.

Hannibal stopped his work and walked to squat down in front of Will. “Will, are you resenting me?”

“If I still resent you, I won't stay here, and I won't be pregnant with your child.” For Will, there is now another kind of affection for Hannibal, one that is stronger and more memorable than resentment.

Hannibal grasped Will's hand and stroked Will's rumbling belly together, and the two felt the commotion of the new life together.

“That Alpha is a bastard,” Hannibal complained again.

“Then you have to prepare another kind of meat for me.”

“Don't worry, I won't let you eat cheap meat.”

Will lay on a sun lounger and watched the sunset. On his chest, a little boy is lying.

Hannibal opens the door, he comes back home now. As the owner of this mansion, he invited ‘friends’ to come for dinner.

“Welcome back.” Will, carrying their son, Primo, welcomes the father back.

Hannibal gives the kiss to Will and the son.

“This is my Omega, Lyndon, and our son Primo.” Hannibal introduces them.

“They are my colleagues in the Capponi Library.” Hannibal introduces the colleagues to Will.”

Most of the colleagues Hannibal invited were very polite. It wouldn't be surprising for them that Will chooses Beta as his partner but not Alpha.

The dinner had a friendly atmosphere, and there was no crying in Primo. Will and Hannibal were happy to have more of these dinners.

"So Primo is a Beta?" said a guest invited by Hannibal.

Of course Hannibal knew that he was only interested in Primo and not malicious. “Yes, Primo is a Beta.” Will replied.

Although Will answered like this, he and Hannibal both knew that Primo was not a Beta.

They could smell Primo's distinctive smell. That inherited the smell from Hannibal, mysterious and dangerous.
