Chapter Text

Note before the story starts:

The prologue has 3 different ways to begin based on your ending from Season 3. Down below is the different entry points of this season and how they are chosen. Option 1 has already been used and will not be used again.

1: With Clementine and AJ - This starting point is obtained by getting max loyalty with Clementine in Season 3 and by accepting her offer in the final choice. Aaron will start Season 4 alongside Clementine and AJ on the road with an increased boost to his relationship with them both. Aaron will start on a negative note with The Delta though and on a neutral note with the Ericson's kids.

2: Alone in the woods - This starting point is obtained by either not having max loyalty with Clementine in Season 3 or by choosing to reject Clementine's offer after having max loyalty with her. How Aaron's relationship with Clementine starts off in this route depends on how his relationship with her in Season 3 ended. Aaron will start on a neutral note with both The Delta and the Ericson's kids.

3: With The Delta - This starting point is obtained by betraying Clementine and the gang in Season 3 by staying loyal to Aaron's brother Bryan. Aaron's relationship with Clementine and AJ will start off very negatively and it will be very violent. Aaron will start off on a negative note with the Ericson's kids and on a positive note with The Delta.

For this story, starting point 3 will be used. With all that said, enjoy this alternate universe story! 

Chapter 1: Prologue (With The Delta)  

In the forest about a year ago...

Lilly: "Alright Aaron. Don't fuck this up. We're trusting you on this mission. It's a simple snatch and grab. We've already convinced the guy to rat out some of his friends."

Aaron: "What's his name?"

Lilly: "Marlon. He said he'd convince some of his friends to come with him on a secret mission. When he leads his friends to the spot, we'll take them and bring them back to The Delta. Then hopefully we can come back to convince him to give us more of them in a few months."

Aaron: "Should be easy enough."

Lilly: "If it goes wrong, we'll open fire if we have to so be ready in case it does go wrong. Got it?"

Aaron: "Yes mam."

Lilly: "Good man."

Abel: "Hurry up Lilly! We have our job to do." He shouts from the distance

Lilly: "Let's not keep Abel waiting."

Lilly and Aaron both join up with Abel at the meeting spot. They wait for Marlon and his friends to show up. After waiting for about 20 minutes, they finally show up. Marlon's friends are confused to why he's brought them here.

Sophie: "Marlon? Who are these people?"

Marlon: "They're just friends. I thought I'd get you to meet them."

Lilly: "Hello Marlon. I assume you have what we want?"

Marlon: "Yes mam. Just like I promised."

Minerva: "Marlon? What the fuck is this?"

Brody: "Marlon..."

Lilly draws her gun on them. Sophie, Minerva and Brody all panic!

Marlon: "They're all yours. Except Brody. Don't take her. Take the twins."

Lilly: "Deal."

Lilly and Abel grabs Sophie and Minerva. This freaks out everyone! Aaron covers Lilly and Abel.

Minerva: "WHAT THE FUCK! LET GO OF ME! MARLON YOU FUCKING SNAKE! I WILL REMEMBER THIS!"

Sophie: "NO!!! NOOO!!! PLEASE DON'T TAKE ME! NO!!!!"

Brody: "Marlon! You're a fucking coward!!!"

Marlon: "You will not talk about this to anyone Brody! Otherwise there'll be problems. I fucking mean it!"

Lilly: "I'm glad this didn't have to get violent Marlon. You have a good day now. We'll be back eventually for more of you. Not for a while though. Run along now. Before I take you both too!"

Abel: "Oh we're gonna make a soldier out of you both mwahahaha."

Sophie and Minerva freaks out. Lilly, Abel and Aaron all run away with Sophie and Minerva and they escape on their boat that will set sail to return to their home at The Delta.

Present Day...

Lilly: "Alright. So we know we're in the right place. Thanks to Abel, we found their hunting grounds. He took out a few traps in the process and it seems like some of them might be heading back to that old train station that exploded the other day. Probably going for that food they lost. Abel has opted to sneak up to the train station and see if they show up there. He's only scoping out to see how many of them are floating around out there. He isn't planning on getting into a fight. Not yet anyway. Minerva wanted to scope out their school but she couldn't bring herself to do it. So we'll have to scope it out ourselves eventually. Now Aaron, are you all good to do some scouting today?"

Aaron: "Yeah. Almost the same shit as last year right?"

Lilly: "Almost. Except this time, you're going in alone or with Abel. Choice is yours. Anyway, only Marlon and his friend knows about us. If Marlon's friend still hasn't told the others about what happened last year then we'll have the element of surprise."

Aaron: "Here's hoping they haven't been told."

Lilly: "Cheers to that!"

Abel: "You ready buddy? We got a job to do."

Aaron: "Just a minute. Minerva wanted to tell me something in private."

Abel: "Hurry up then! We don't have all day."

Aaron speaks to Minerva alone for a minute.

Minerva: "Listen Aaron. If you ever see Tenn out there. Please make sure he's okay. We may be out here to take everyone but please make sure my little brother is okay. I trust you with this Aaron. He's short and scar faced. You can't miss him."

Aaron: "I promise, if I see him, I'll make sure he's okay. You have my word Minerva."

Minerva pats Aaron on the shoulder and smiles.

Minerva: "Thank you. Anyway, if you see Sophie out there, bring her to me personally. We have unfinished business."

Aaron: "Understood."

Minerva: "Cool. Now go get em! All of them! We believe in you!"

Aaron returns back to Abel.

Abel: "Alright. What's your plan buddy. You going into the train station with me to scope the place out or are you gonna risk scoping out the school by yourself?"

Aaron can either join Abel in scoping out the train station or he can sneak out into the woods himself and risk scoping out the school. What should he do?

B: Sneak up to the school and scope out the school alone

Chapter Text

Chapter 2: Caught in the Act

Aaron has decided that he will scout out the school alone while Abel searches the train station.

Aaron: "I'll scope out the school then. It gets more shit done."

Abel: "Hm. Fair enough. I like your thinking. Probably better if we aren't clumped together anyway. Now you know the drill Aaron in case you or myself gets caught or lost out there. If you see or hear one of us when you're lost, make sure to shout a city name. We use this as a callout so we don't go shooting our own people by accident. The city name we use normally is Rockingham. Got it?"

Aaron: "Understood."

Abel: "Good man. Now don't go worrying if you get lost. We'll be hanging around till the end of tomorrow before heading back to The Delta."

Aaron: "Alright. Good luck."

Abel: "It ain't nothing to do with luck."

Abel leaves to head to the train station. Lilly and the other soldiers return to their boat. Aaron goes on with his plan to scope out the school. He heads out into the woods alone.

Aaron: "Hm. Hopefully these guys don't remember me from last year. Last thing I need is to draw attention to myself if I get caught." He says to himself

Aaron on his way through the forest comes across 3 dead bodies. They are bodies of 3 of the soldiers he was recently with. This makes Aaron panic!

Aaron: "What the hell? Who...who would do this? Who could take down 3 of us? Surely this can't be those school kids. Surely it can't be..."

A gun is pointed to the back of Aaron's head. It's Sophie! She is visibly pissed!

Aaron: "Fuck...alright. My hands are up..."

Sophie: "That's good. Drop your weapons! Now! I don't want to shoot you but I fucking will if you don't listen!"

Aaron: "Sophie. It's you..."

Sophie: "Not looking so eager to see me again are you?"

Aaron: "Why did you run away? You realise that Lilly and Minerva want you dead now right?"

Sophie: "Open your fucking eyes Aaron! You fucking know why I had to escape! Those people you are with. They're not nice people! They force people like yourself to fight in their wars. Don't you see that they're using you!? As for Minnie, they fucking brainwashed her. My own fucking sister. You let that happen! You could of stopped this last year but you decided to let them take us away!"

Aaron: "I did what's best for me! If I tried to stop them, they would of killed me!"

Sophie: "I get that. That's why I haven't fucking shot you already! You have a chance Aaron. To walk away from those people. To join me. Help me get back to my friends. I'm this fucking close. I just need to know where the school is. I assume you know where it is. It's why you all are out here isn't it? To convince Marlon to trade away more of us. Like last year!"

Aaron: "Tell me why I should trust you."

Sophie: "For starters, you have to be the dumbest bastard ever to even try questioning someone with a gun drawn to your head. Secondly, you know this is fucking wrong! Child soldiers Aaron! CHILD FUCKING SOLDIERS! Is this what you believe is right!?"

Aaron: "Maybe...maybe you're right."

Sophie: "You think?!"

Aaron: "What about Minerva? I can't fucking leave her. She's the only person left I can call a friend."

Sophie: "If you think you can change her then good fucking luck pal. She's way too far into that shit Lilly's told her. Full mental jacket! What makes you think right now that she won't just snitch on you and turn you into Lilly for helping me?"

Aaron: "I gotta try...right? If anyone can change her, it's me."

Sophie: "Hm. Maybe. If you somehow pull that off, I'll be impressed and grateful."

Aaron: "She did mention something about her brother Tenn. She asked me to make sure he's safe if I see him. I promised her I would make sure he's okay."

Sophie: "Our brother Tenn? Shit...I have a great fucking idea! I know it sounds cold but we can use Tenn against Minnie. We can use him to get Minnie back on our side."

Aaron: "That's all you. If you have a plan then go for it."

Sophie is convinced enough. She lowers her gun and gives Aaron his weapons back. She doesn't want to trust Aaron but her heart is telling her to trust Aaron.

Sophie: "Alright. You have me convinced enough. Don't make me regret this. Now show me the way back to the school. Any funny business and I will fucking shoot you no hesitation."

Aaron: "Okay. I get it. It's this way I think. I don't know the place too well but I think I know the way."

Sophie: "Then show me. I'll be behind you the whole time so there's no funny business."

Aaron and Sophie spend the next few hours looking for the school. Later in the middle of the night during a storm, they finally find the school.

Outside the school gate...

Sophie: "Oh my god! You actually done it! You helped me get home. Thank you. Thank you! I...I promise not to tell anyone you where involved with last year. Just need to hope that Brody and Marlon doesn't rat you out or at least hope they don't remember you."

Aaron: "So what's in this for me?"

Sophie: "You know these guys can be your friends too Aaron. Get to know them. They're nice people. I'm sure you'll get along with them. Most of them anyway."

Aaron: "But what about The Delta?"

Sophie: "Fuck them. You can make an excuse. They'll believe you. They trust you so use that against them. You can---what the hell?!"

A large commotion inside the school grounds can be heard. They hear a gunshot! Sophie and Aaron both peek through the gate to see what's going on.

Sophie: "Holy shit! What the fuck..."

Sophie can see Marlon dead on the ground. He has a bullet in his head and all of the kids are looking at the 2 people who caused Marlon's death. They eavesdrop into the commotion.

AJ: "What? Why you all looking at me like that? I aimed for the head..."

Louis: "NOOO!!"

Ruby: "For god sake, someone help me with this!"

Mitch: "He's...he's dead. The kid blew his fucking brains out!"

Louis: "He's dead. You...you're a murderer!" He says to AJ

Louis: "We had this handled! You and Violet talked him down! What the fuck did you teach this kid!?" He says to Clementine

Clementine: "MARLON HAD A FUCKING GUN ON US! He tried to fucking kill me Louis! It was justice! AJ thought he was just protecting us when he pulled the trigger! You have to understand that!"

Louis: "Still! He didn't have to take a bullet to the fucking skull! It was over! We had him beat!"

Mitch clenches his fist at Clementine. Violet runs out with her cleaver in hand and stands in front of Clementine and AJ, defending them from the rest.

Violet: "STEP BACK! ALL OF YOU! Leave them alone!"

Louis: "Right...so now we know we can't rely on you either Vi. Fucking figures..."

Violet: "I'm not fucking defending the fact they killed someone who was beaten. I'm just saying that they are not the ones we should be blaming here! Marlon fucking traded away the twins, killed Brody and tried to frame these 2 for it! If all of you asked more questions about the twins' disappearance before then NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED!!"

Louis: "That kid is still a fucking threat. It's gonna be hard to sleep at night knowing a little fucking psycho kid could pull a trigger on me for giving him even as little as the stink eye."

Clementine: "FUCK YOU LOUIS! That's not fair! Don't speak about my boy like that! He wouldn't do that! Marlon put ALL OF US AT RISK AND YOU KNOW THAT!"

Meanwhile outside the gate...

Sophie: "My god...it's a shit show. Who the fuck are these 2 though? Never seen these guys before. They must be new."

Aaron: "No clue. Can't get a good enough look of them both. Whoever they are, that blonde chick Violet is really sticking up for them."

Sophie: "Never thought Vi would have it in her for a new girl. I figured she would have probably shut herself down when we vanished. If you don't know, she used to be girlfriends with Minnie. Seems like she's showing quite the interest and loyalty on that new kid and her boy."

Aaron: "I think I recognise her from somewhere. The girl that is. The one you said is new here. I just can't tell. My fucking head is still messed up from Lilly's shit. I can't process much right now. I'm certain I fucking know that girl though."

Sophie: "We should probably show ourselves. Maybe we can get to see who she is. They'll be stoked to see me alive too. If it's true that Marlon killed Brody then that means there's no witnesses of you being apart of your raider friends' group. Minnie and myself will be the only ones who knows who you are."

Aaron: "Yeah, you're right actually. The witnesses died. No one knows shit about me."

Sophie: "That's the spirit. Then come with me and let me help you make new friends. Maybe your memory might rejog itself when you speak to that girl you think you know. What do you think?"

Aaron: "Sure...why not. let's do it."

Meanwhile back in the yard...

Violet: "ALRIGHT EVERYONE CALM THE FUCK DOWN! Clem, AJ, get inside."

Louis: "Just let them go back to the dorms like nothing happened?!"

Mitch: "Fuck that. We're throwing them out! We can't trust them! I'm sorry, can't take the risk."

Sophie and Aaron walk in through the gates and they approach the kids. All of the kids turn their attention to them. Everyone is in shock when they recognise Sophie! Clementine and Aaron don't yet recognise each other.

Louis: "HOLY SHIT! Is...is this real!?"

Violet: "SOPHIE!? No fucking way that's you!!! OH MY GOD WE HAVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!"

Mitch: "On second thoughts...I change my mind. You both can stay."

Clementine: "Thank you. Really. Thank you."

Mitch: "It's probably for the best. Just keep your kid under control okay?" He says to Clementine

Clementine: "Right."

Sophie hugs everyone while the rain from the storm still pours down, soaking everyone. Aaron just stands there.

Violet: "Who the hell is this you brought with you Sophie?"

Sophie: "A friend. He helped me escape. I decided to bring him home with me. I trust him."

Violet: "Any friend of yours is a friend of mine."

Aaron walks over.

Aaron: "Hey there. Nice to meet you all."

Violet: "With pleasure. I'm Violet. A good friend of Sophie. What's your name?"

Aaron shakes Violet's hand and tells her his name.

Aaron: "It's Aaron."

Violet: "Well it's nice to meet you Aaron. Just had Sophie here telling me that you might know our friend Clementine. She said you think you recognise her from somewhere. Any ideas?"

Aaron: "My head is fucking messed up. I can't remember much from a few years ago. I got a serious case of amnesia. There's a lot of things I can't remember. Clementine does ring a bell though. I'm just trying to process it."

Clementine now recognises Aaron and notices that Aaron has a very bad time remembering who she is. Clementine is extremely pissed at Aaron for what he done to her and her friends a few years ago back in Richmond. She holds the anger into herself for now and pretends she doesn't know anything about him. She instead opts to greet him. She doesn't want to take her anger out on him publicly. 

Clementine: "What's up. I'm Clementine. Good to have you here." She says so casually while trying to hide her anger

Aaron: "I think I know you from somewhere Clementine. I just can't remember. My head is fried."

Clementine: "Don't worry. I know you. I can jog your memory in a bit if you're okay with that. Anyway, this is my boy AJ with me. If you can't already tell, we recently showed up here. Just like you."

Aaron: "Hm. Interesting."

Clementine: "I really need to talk to you as soon as possible. It's important. If you have something to discuss with your friend Sophie, tell her she can wait."

Aaron: "She's not my friend. She's actually someone I found in the woods. I was apart of those raiders. I won't bullshit you. I was actually tasked to come here and scout the place but Sophie found me and convinced me to leave them and join you guys." He whispers to Clementine

Clementine: "Why are you telling me this?" She whispers to Aaron

Aaron: "Because I know you weren't involved with what happened to the twins last year. Somehow, I can trust you to keep a secret. I can see you seem to holding a few secrets yourself." He whispers to Clementine

Clementine: "Okay...if you say so. Save the rest for later when we're alone. I got stuff I need to tell you anyway. I promise not to tell what you told me to the rest. Lucky for you, I'm a person of my word." She whispers to Aaron

Aaron: "Okay. "Thank you." He whispers to Clementine

Clementine: "Don't thank me just yet..." She whispers to Aaron

Sophie: "Aaron! We should get inside. Got a few things to talk about regarding what comes next."

Clementine looks at Aaron intensely. She is signalling to him that he should tell Sophie to talk later. Clementine wants to talk to Aaron first.

Sophie and Clementine both want to talk to Aaron right now in private. Sophie wants to talk regarding the raider situation. Clementine wants to talk regarding her past with Aaron since Aaron cannot remember what happened. Who should he talk to first?

Chapter Text

Chapter 3: The Plan

Aaron has decided to ignore Clementine and proceed to talk to Sophie anyway. Clementine really doesn't like this. It's making her more angry since Aaron isn't willing to speak right now and get their bad past out into the open.

Aaron: "Alright then Sophie. What you got? Tell me everything."

Sophie: "Of course. Let's head inside first so we're not getting soaked by the rain. The others are probably going to clean up Marlon's body. Brody's as well wherever she was killed. We can discuss shit in my old dorm."

Clementine: "That would so happen to be the room me and AJ are set up in."

Sophie: "Shit. I suppose I outta take you elsewhere then. I guess we'll talk in the admin office. No one should disturb us in there at this time of night."

Aaron: "Alright then. Just show me the way."

Sophie and Aaron both leave to talk in private in the admin office. Clementine clenches her fist at Aaron as he turns his back. She is very annoyed. Especially since Aaron has ignored her 1 offer to talk this through peacefully. She decides to let things go for now but things won't get pretty for them when this topic is brought up again tomorrow.  

AJ: "Clem! Are you okay? You seem mad."

Clementine: "That fucking snake! He's fucking lucky he doesn't remember me. But I fucking remember him! He's the guy that almost got me killed in Richmond when I was searching everywhere to get info about where you were at. He's the reason most of my allies there died! He got Javi and all those nice people killed! For his fucking shitbag of a brother! He's even the one who shot me, tried to kill me!"

AJ: "You never told me about this."

Clementine: "It's a long story AJ. You wouldn't understand. Part of me understands why he was like this. The other part of me wants him fucking dead for what he done."

AJ: "Understand him? Why would you understand him?"

Clementine: "He did what he did to protect his family AJ. Just like how I'd do anything to protect you. So in a way, he's somewhat justified for his actions. It doesn't mean what he did wasn't fucking wrong though. I have to help him see that. The fact he doesn't remember who I am either makes it easier for me to get into his head and turn him to the good side. Worst part is, he's one of those raiders as well. He's with that guy we ran into at the train station so I don't know if we can trust him right now either."

AJ: "What?! He's one of them?"

Clementine: "Yes. I promised him I wouldn't tell anyone else and it's best if we don't anyway. The less these guys know about Aaron, the better. For his sake. And for ours."

AJ: "Yeah. I guess you're right."

Clementine: "I want to make things right with him but it's just so fucking hard to resist kicking his fucking ass for trying to kill me. I could use some help taking the edge off of me. It would of helped if he actually decided to take my advice and talk to me when I asked him to. I wouldn't be as pissy at him as I am right now. He just better hope when I do decide to talk to him on my own terms that I don't flip shit on him."

AJ: "Just do what you tell me Clem whenever I get mad. Just breathe..."

Clementine breathes in and calms down for now.

Clementine: "Thanks kiddo. Come on, let's get inside. It's gonna be a long day tomorrow that's for sure. It's not gonna be easy on any of us now that all of this has happened with Marlon. Also remember buddy, it's not your fault Marlon died. He had this coming. Just be careful when you pull the trigger again buddy. If you shoot a man when he's no longer a threat, that's murder. Understand?"

AJ: "So if someone is down, I shouldn't shoot? Even if they're bad?"

Clementine: "If they're bad, then fucking shoot them. Marlon wasn't bad though. He was scared and thought what he was doing was right. That's different than being evil."

AJ: "Okay. I think I understand now."

Clementine: "Good. Come on now. Let's get some rest."

Clementine takes AJ's hand and they both head inside to their dorm to rest for the night. Clementine is calm for now but she may get angry again very easily. She doesn't feel comfortable with Aaron around at this moment of time.

Meanwhile in the admin office...

Aaron and Sophie both walk in. Sophie closes the door behind them and she sits down on the headmaster's chair that Marlon used to sit on. Aaron sits down facing her.

Sophie: "Tomorrow there's gonna be problems. I assume you already know this."

Aaron: "I can tell."

Sophie: "Now this is where I have to ask you right now and you have to tell me the god honest truth. Are you on our side? Yes or no? Now if you lie to me, I will fucking find out and I'll take you out myself. Be smart about this Aaron."

Aaron: "Yes."

Sophie: "Are you sure now? I wouldn't advise you to change your mind either. This could be your home you know. You can live a happy and peaceful life here with people your own age. Hell, you could even find yourself a soulmate here if you tried. Plenty of options hahaha. You got me, you got Ruby, you got Violet, maybe even Minnie if you somehow convince her to come back. Or that new girl if you have what it takes. Seems like she knows her shit and looks a bit lonely too. So you see? Plenty of options. Think of the life you could have here. No more violence, no more death. No more wars. Just peace and quiet. Like it should be."

Aaron: "I know. I won't argue with you. I know you're right. It's just...what do I do regarding Lilly and the others? If they find out I've betrayed them. They will come back for blood if they aren't already."

Sophie: "Face it, they're coming back anyway and it's only a matter of time before they break into the school to try to kidnap and/or kill all of us. Without Marlon to trade them more people for peace, they're just gonna take all of us by force."

Aaron: "Then how the hell do we fight them off then? What's your great plan if you're so confident." He says in a sarcastic tone

Sophie doesn't like the attitude Aaron is giving her. She's a little offended by it. She decides not to get angry about it.

Sophie: "Hey! What's with the attitude dude? I'm just trying to help you. Be lucky I'm not punching you in the face for talking to me like that. If that was Ruby or Violet you spoke to, they'd chew your face right off."

Aaron: "Right. Sorry. I'm just a little stressed."

Sophie: "It's fine. You're forgiven. I understand you've associated with mean people over the last few years. I can see this is the first time in a long time that someone has ever been kind to you. Like properly kind."

Aaron: "You're not wrong about that. Lilly and Abel respect me but I think they only do it so I stay loyal to them."

Sophie: "That's exactly what they're doing. They're using you. Making you feel worth a damn but when they don't need you anymore, they'll ditch you and/or kill you."

Aaron: "Wouldn't be surprised. Their home at The Delta is constantly being attacked by outsiders. I can see why. They're the ones who always start the fights."

Sophie: "See? Now you're getting it!"

Aaron: "The only person I have there that I can consider a real friend is Minerva. She's the only one who properly shows me any kindness. I know Lilly has her brainwashed but I know she has something in there for me. We act like actual friends around one another."

Sophie: "That's why you're gonna be the one to convince her to come home. Only you can snap her out of the shit she's in. Only you can help her. As far as I know, I'm someone she wants dead. Thanks to Lilly's brainwashing that is. Can I trust you to get my sister back here safe? She won't listen to anyone else and that's a fact. Not even her old girlfriend Violet. You and probably Tenn are the only people who can snap her out of it."

Aaron: "I can try. No promises but I can try."

Sophie appreciates that Aaron is willing to try and save her sister. She smiles.

Sophie: "Thank you. Really. I appreciate that you're willing to try. It's better than doing nothing. Anyway as for right now, we need a plan to defend the school against these child snatching assholes."

Aaron sees the map of the school in front of them. He comes up with a decent plan.

Aaron: "Wait. Is that a greenhouse? We could make bombs with the chemicals in there. Rig up some traps in the courtyard for the horse carts."

Sophie: "You can do that?"

Aaron's spirits are lifted up. He smiles now.

Aaron: "Haha. You bet! I used to make shit like that back in The Delta. All those years of training might actually come in handy. I just need an igniter and some propane and then I'll have ourselves a nice little homemade explosive."

Sophie: "Well I'll be damned. We should have that stuff you need anyway. If I'm right, that place will still have barbed wire as well. We could use that to cover the walls so that the raiders have to come in through the front gate and into our traps."

Aaron: "We can flip the tables too to narrow the path in the middle of the yard. Makes it easier to take cover and see where they're coming from."

Sophie: "Wow. You know your shit."

Aaron: "Being part of a military community for about 2 to 3 years will do that to you."

Sophie: "Where were you before all of this?"

Aaron: "I only remember bits and bobs. I was with my brother. After our old town got overrun by some bad people, we ventured out on our own and we got separated in a herd. That was the last I saw of him. Lilly saved me when I thought it was over and from there on out, I joined The Delta."

Sophie: "Sounds like it hasn't been easy for you."

Aaron: "No. It hasn't. Me having bad memory of the past doesn't help either. I'm only starting to remember a few things about that girl Clementine. I know we did not get along. At all. Makes me wonder if she's still angry at me right now. I do know we did not end on a good note. She's nice to me right now but I think that's only because she doesn't want to start any drama publicly. I have a feeling shits gonna go down at the first moment I get with her alone."

Sophie: "You should talk to her. Better to get this shit out of the way as soon as possible. The longer you avoid her Aaron, the worse it's gonna get. I'd advise you to talk to her as soon as possible. It might not end so pretty but at least that gets the drama out of the way, you know?"

Aaron: "Maybe. Why do I have the feeling she's gonna kick my ass? I can't remember what I done but I know it was fucked up, whatever it was."

Sophie: "You just have to tell her you're sorry. Even if she does get violent, don't fight back. If you show her you're sorry, she'll forgive you. I can promise you that. She seems like a nice girl to me. I can just tell. It's a little gift of mine. With that kid in her life, I don't see why she wouldn't be inclined to try and find common ground with you."

Aaron: "You're probably right."

Sophie: "Of course I'm probably right. She might be pissed but if you get that shit into the open now, it will benefit you both in the long term. Just follow your heart dude. That's all any of us can do these days. Just follow your heart."

Aaron: "Why does it feel like following my heart will get me or someone else killed?"

Sophie: "Trust me buddy, if I didn't follow my heart earlier, I would have just shot you when I saw you. But I didn't. I gave you a chance. You took that chance and I'm happy for you that you listened."

Aaron: "Yeah...you make a point actually. Also, thanks for not shooting me."

Sophie: "No problem buddy. Just show me that you can change and take a friendly person's advice."

Aaron: "It's so...overwhelming. People being this kind to me. I've just never seen this much kindness before. I don't even deserve it."

Sophie stands up and walks around to Aaron. She helps him up and hugs him.

Sophie: "Of course you deserve our kindness. Just because you made mistakes, it doesn't make you a bad person. You just have to atone for your mistakes. Show that you care and that you're truly sorry."

Aaron cries all over Sophie's jacket while they hug. He's never seen this much kindness before and it makes him very happy.

Aaron: "You're a real friend. You know that? Thank you. Now we just need to save Minerva."

Sophie: "Yeah...we do. I'm glad you're on our side. I'm happy to call you a friend myself. Seems like you've earned that status. Just keep doing what's right and you'll make it. We all will. If there's anything you need Aaron, just talk to me. I can help you. And I mean anything. Don't be afraid. I won't ever get angry at you unless you give me a good reason to get angry at you."

Aaron: "I'll keep that in mind."

Sophie: "It's getting really late now. We should rest for tomorrow. Not many places to sleep so I guess we'll sleep in here tonight. You can lie down over there with me for now. Just don't snot all over me please hahaha."

Aaron: "I'm a heavy sleeper anyway so I think you're in the clear."

Sophie: "Nice to know."

Both of them lie down in the office on a bed. 

Sophie: "Goodnight."

Aaron: "Goodnight."

They both go to sleep. The next day dawns and Sophie wakes up. She heads outside while Aaron is still asleep. Later that morning, Aaron wakes up in the office alone.

Aaron: "Wow. I actually had a good sleep for once. Why does this feel oddly satisfying?" He says to himself

Aaron has a look around the office and he looks at a photo of Marlon and Louis when they where younger.

Aaron: "Marlon and...Louis I think? They must of been good friends. I can see why Louis was mad at Clementine last night when Marlon died. Poor dude. Hopefully all that drama between them is over. I just have to deal with Clementine now and hope I don't get whooped by her." He says to himself

The door moves.

Aaron: "Hello? Who's there?"

Rosie walks in and starts barking and growling at Aaron. This scares him initially but Aaron keeps his cool.

Aaron: "Woah. Easy there. It's okay buddy. Or girl if you're a girl. It's okay."

Aaron slowly approaches Rosie and pets her. Rosie takes in Aaron's scent and she calms down.

Aaron: "See? That wasn't so bad. If I was going to hurt you, I would of done it by now. You're quite adorable too I'm not gonna lie."

Aaron talks to Rosie for a bit and Sophie walks in on them with a bowl of food. Sophie smiles when she sees Aaron getting along well with the dog.

Sophie: "Aw. That's so cute. I see you both are getting along. I never knew you get along well with dogs. Rosie here is very well trained as well. She used to be the headmaster's dog before shit hit the fan. He bailed along with the other adults when shit went down. Left us to fend for ourselves."

Aaron: "Wow. What a dick."

Sophie: "As Marlon would always say, understatement of the century. Anyway, I figured you'd be hungry. I brought you up some stew that Omar cooked for us. Hot and fresh stew. From the great chef himself."

Aaron: "Gordon Ramsay?"

Sophie: "Ha ha! Funny one aren't you. Maybe not Gordon Ramsay level of chef but still a good chef Omar is."

Aaron sits down and eats the stew that Sophie gave him. He barfs it down very fast. He really enjoyed it.

Sophie: "Oof! Jesus! You barfed that down real fast. I take it you enjoyed it?"

Aaron: "It was really good. I've not eaten a proper hot meal in like forever. Always ration packs and preheated meals in The Delta."

Sophie: "You see? Even more reason to make yourself at home here. We have one of the best cooks around."

Aaron: "Can't argue with that. That was some really nice fucking food."

Sophie: "I'm glad you enjoyed it. Anyway, I need to talk about today."

Aaron: "Sure. Fill me in."

They both sit down and talk about today's plans.

Sophie: "So there's 2 things you can do for us today. Clementine has decided to head out and scope out the forest to try and get some info on the raiders. The rest of us here are setting up defences and shit. I figured that since Clementine is out on her own scoping out the raiders, maybe you'd be a big help. Since you know the raiders and since they trust you and all. It would also give you a chance to talk to Clementine about you know what. If you don't want to do it then it's okay. I won't make you. I just thought it would be nice for you. It helps her with what she's doing and it should help both of you hopefully find some common ground with one another. You might also find Minnie out there so think about it."

Aaron: "Hm. Let me think..."

Clementine is going to head out into the forest to try and learn more about the raiders. Should Aaron join her and assist her or should he stay at the school and mind his own business?

Chapter 4: Mending a Violent Relationship

Aaron has decided that he will head out with Clementine to assist her with the scouting mission.

Aaron: "I guess I'm doing it. I'll help her. Might as well clear shit up with her and it would be suicide to let her go out on her own anyway. Gotta think about everyone's safety."

Sophie: "That's it. That's the way to think. You see, you're changing already. Into the better you. The person you were meant to be."

Aaron: "Thanks. You're too kind but I guess we'll see if I stick to that."

Sophie: "That we will. I'd advice that you do stick to it otherwise you'll be in trouble. At least you have the common sense to listen to someone giving you advice."

Aaron: "Where will Clementine be right now?"

Sophie: "She should be just down the trail outside the gate. I suggest you get out there quickly and catch up with her. Tell her I sent you."

Aaron: "Can do."

Sophie: "Good man. Best get to it then."

Aaron leaves. He waves goodbye to Sophie on the way out. He heads outside to catch up with Clementine down by the forest path.

At the forest path...

Aaron runs down the path and finally catches up with Clementine. Clementine notices him and turns her attention to him. She looks pissed.

Clementine: "What are you doing here?"

Aaron: "Sophie sent me. She figured you'd need a little help with scouting the raiders. She sent me since I know them."

Clementine: "She did? I figured you wouldn't want to join me considering you ignored me last night when I asked for you."

Aaron: "I had to talk to Sophie first. It was important info. It was about our next plans."

Clementine: "I understand that but you should of spoke to me afterwards. You know where I fucking sleep Aaron. Do you realise how serious this is right now?! Do you even know what you did to me a few years ago!?"

Aaron: "No. I told you I lost a lot of my memory."

Clementine clenches her fist and violently pushes Aaron to the ground in anger. Aaron doesn't stand up and looks confused.

Clementine: "YOU RUINED MY LIFE! ALMOST KILLED ME! GOT A LOT OF MY FRIENDS KILLED AND FOR WHAT? FOR YOUR STUPID FUCKING BROTHER!"

Aaron: "Listen! I'm sorry! Whatever I done to hurt you, I am fucking sorry! I want to make it up for you but I don't how I'd go about doing that."

Clementine: "WHAT I WANT IS MY FRIENDS TO BE ALIVE AGAIN! But I'm pretty sure that isn't likely to happen now is it? Do you understand what you've DONE TO ME!?"

Aaron: "No! I don't understand. I've said many times I don't have any memory of my past."

Clementine: "Alright then. Let me remind you. You sided with the enemy back in Richmond and tried to kill me along with other really nice people just so your brother was okay. Your brother was a fucking snake. You listened to everything he told you. Because he's your brother and all."

Aaron now starts remembering! His eyes light up like a crystal. 

Aaron: "I remember. I fucking remember! Hear me out Clem. After Richmond fell, I was alone with my brother. He wasn't the same nice guy I knew before all of this. We got split up in a herd and that's when The Delta took me in. They made me feel at home. Similar to The New Frontier. They were very persuasive. They made me go along with their plan of kidnapping kids from this school last year. My brother done something similar to The Delta back in Richmond. He always told me to fight for home. For family. That was enough to light me on fire against you. After Sophie got me last night, she showed me that I was wrong about everything I thought was right. She helped me see what I truly became. A monster. I'm not asking you to forgive me Clem but I would really appreciate it if you do give me another chance. I can show you that I'm a different person now as to how you saw me a few years ago. Please Clem. Please trust me on this."

Clementine looks at Aaron. She has a long hard think on how she should react. She thinks about beating the shit out of Aaron but she doesn't pull herself to do it. She instead decides to accept Aaron's apology. 

Aaron: "Clem? You alright? You're not gonna kick my ass are you?"

Clementine puts her hand out to Aaron and offers to help him stand up. Aaron takes her hand and stands back up. Clementine looks very conflicted and doesn't know how to feel about Aaron. Aaron sighs to himself in relief. He thought Clementine was going to beat the shit out of him.

Clementine: "You're forgiven. For now anyway. If there's a chance in hell that you've changed, I'll take it. Don't make me regret this Aaron. Second chances come in a very short supply with me. Consider yourself lucky that I have a heart. If this was me a few years ago when I still didn't have AJ back, I wouldn't be as merciful. I'm just glad you finally had it in you to speak to me."

Aaron: "Thank you."

Clementine subtly smiles at him.   

Clementine: "Don't mention it. Now as for what we're doing, I was planning on heading through the woods to spy on some of these raider assholes that you associate with and---SHIT! Get down!"

Clementine ducks down and pulls Aaron down with her. They hide behind a tree. Clementine spotted a raider who's lurking in the woods.

Aaron: "What the hell are we hiding from?"

Clementine: "In front of us!"

Aaron sees the raider in front of them. It's Minerva!

Aaron: "Holy fucking shit. That's Minerva. This might be our lucky day. Clem, I'd advise you to stay out of sight for a minute. I'll handle this. They can't know I'm with you guys."

Clementine: "Whatever you're doing, do it quick! I'll cover you if it goes wrong."

Minerva hears them. She gets curious.

Minerva: "Who's there!? Show yourself!"

Aaron: "Rockingham!"

Aaron comes out of cover with his hands up. Minerva sees him and Aaron walks up to her. Clementine stays hidden.

Minerva: "Aaron! Where the hell have you been? Lilly and Abel are looking all over the place for you. Abel got attacked by the way at the train station. By a girl and her kid. They pushed him into a pack of walkers and he got bit. We saved him by taking off his arm."

Clementine: "Motherfucker. Should of known. You better do something Aaron or I'm taking her out." She says to herself

Aaron: "I have a confession Minerva. Can you promise to listen to me?"

Minerva: "Well you are my friend. Fuck it, if it involves Lilly and Abel, I'll take your side. You have my word. What's on your mind?"

Aaron: "I was with those kids at the school. Your old friends. They want you to come home."

Minerva: "Fuck. I should of known something like this would happen."

Aaron: "I was told by Sophie that you're brainwashed by Lilly. One of them now. Said you can't be saved. This is why I'm here now. To convince you to come back home. To your people. Back to where you had lots of good friends."

Minerva: "Wait. Sophie is there?"

Aaron: "I know what you're thinking Minerva. I can promise you that she is not bad. She wants to help you come back home. The real reason you hate her is because Lilly has manipulated you into thinking The Delta is worth fighting for. When Sophie tried escaping, you thought she was a traitor for trying to get back to her home. You need to see this Minerva. Ericson's is your home. It's where all your friends are. It's where Violet is. Where Sophie is. Where your brother Tenn is. They are all hoping you can come back happy and safe."

Minerva looks emotionally conflicted now. Lilly's brainwashing is trying to get to her and Minerva is trying to fight it.

Minerva: "Get a hold of yourself Minnie. Just try to think. Fuck. Lilly protected me though but she took me away from my home at the same time. Fuck...this is hard. I gotta...snap out of it." She says to herself

Aaron: "Minerva, are you okay?"

Minerva: "I'm just....you're my friend. I have to trust you. You said you'd check on my brother. Did you check on him?"

Aaron: "Yeah. He's okay. He just wants you to come home safely."

Minerva: "What about that snake Marlon? You talk to him?"

Aaron: "He's...he's dead. He killed your friend Brody when she told everyone what he did to you and Sophie last year."

Minerva is in shock! She is now convinced.

Minerva: "No! Fuck. No. Fucking Brody. How could he do that!? Fucking rat bastard! How did Marlon die? Tell me! Please! Tell me!"

Aaron: "He was shot in the head during a fight. He tried to blame Brody's murder on the new girl and her kid. When he tried to kill them, the 2 of them convinced the rest to talk down Marlon and make him confess. After that, the new girl's kid just blasted him. Right in the head."

Minerva: "This just happened? Last night?"

Aaron: "Yes."

Minerva: "My god! You have me convinced. How can I be sure you're not lying to me though? I don't want to come with you for this to be a lie. I need to know I can trust you completely. Convince me. Right now. That you're not lying."

Aaron takes a second to think. After thinking, he steps closer to Minerva, puts his hand on her cheek and kisses her. This shocks Minerva. It's enough to convince her to come back with Aaron and Clementine. Clementine is in shock herself at the love she's witnessing. She's impressed by Aaron's sheer level of bravery of even trying to sweet talk Minerva into leaving The Delta.

Minerva: "Oh...I uh...holy shit. Did you really mean that?"

Aaron: "Yes. I have faith in you Minerva. I know you'll do the right thing."

Clementine: "Holy fucking shit. Good shit Aaron. You fucking legend. You sure are 1 hell of a sweet talker. I'll be damned. Maybe siding with you wasn't the worst idea." She says to herself

Minerva: "Call me Minnie. Anyway, you've sold me. I'll come with you. I was not expecting that though like holy shit. I've never been so happy! I've never felt this much for someone since Violet last year."

Aaron: "Clementine! You can come out. It's safe."

Clementine shows herself. Minerva looks at her.

Minerva: "Who's this? This a friend of yours?"

Aaron: "This is Clementine. The new girl I was talking to you about. We have some history but we've moved on from that. Best for the 2 of us if we got along."

Minerva: "I see. So I assume you overheard our conversation then Clementine?"

Clementine: "Every last word."

Minerva: "Well I'm not great on introductions. But hey there. I'm Minerva. Most of my friends call me Minnie."

Clementine: "Cool. I'm Clementine."

Clementine and Minerva both shake hands.

Minerva: "The rest of my people should be down here somewhere. Aaron and myself can try and get some info out of them that'll help us all out. I assume that's why you're both sneaking around right? To see what we're up to."

Clementine: "Yup."

Minerva: "Then let's move out. It'll only be a matter of time before they catch on that we're betraying them. Might as well get as much info as we can now before they turn hostile to us."

Clementine: "Agreed."

Minerva: "Well Aaron. Even if you have some bad history with Clem, she sure as hell is reliable to have on your side. You're a lucky one."

Clementine: "Yeah. he sure as hell is."

Minerva, Clementine and Aaron all sneak through the forest to find Lilly and Abel. They find them and they hide behind a tree.

Minerva: "There they are. Lilly and Abel."

Aaron: "Stay here Clem. We'll handle this. Just stay quiet."

Clementine nods at them in acknowledgement. Minerva and Aaron both approach Lilly and Abel.

Lilly: "There you are Minerva! You actually found Aaron. Damn. Good job."

Minerva: "Idiot got lost. I had to help him find his way back."

Abel: "Not surprised. Aaron gets lost all the fucking time. We need to give you a damn map for fuck sake. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack when it comes to finding you."

Lilly: "Well we ain't got nothing so we're heading back to base. In 2 weeks, we'll return with soldiers and we're going to storm the school and take everyone. We need soldiers and it seems like Marlon isn't around so we have to do this the hard way."

Minerva: "Fair enough. We're going now then?"

Lilly: "Yeah, we're going, we---I heard something! Over there! Go check it out Abel. We'll cover you."

Lilly heard Clementine moving. Abel checks out the noise and finds her! He grabs her and drags her over.

Abel: "Ah! It's you again! Where's your little boy at huh? Too scared to bring him with you this time?"

Lilly: "This the girl who attacked you last night?"

Abel: "Yup. Fighter. Her and her boy both fighters. You'll like them."

Clementine: "Let go of me!"

Abel: "Hahaha! Funny one aren't you? You're a tough little shit, I'll give you that. That's why keeping you alive is more beneficial. We take someone like you back to The Delta, it will be worth while."

Clementine: "I won't fucking fight for you! You take kids, to use them! To make them fight your wars!"

Lilly: "We give people a cause to fight for. We have shelter, working solar panels and we grow our own food at the Delta. All that's asked is to do your part in the community. Think about it, you'll be living a better life there than you are here in a kid commune. You can keep going with that boy of yours at that school but you have to know that won't last."

Clementine: "I'd rather take my chances!"

Abel: "Too bad because you don't have a choice."

Abel punches Clementine in the stomach. She can feel the pain. It hurts! Lilly now recognises Clementine!

Lilly: "Wait Abel! Stop! I know her. I fucking know her! Clementine? Is that really you?"

Clementine looks up and recognises Lilly. Her face turns into shock.

Clementine: "Lilly? I thought you died."

Lilly: "I came close."

Aaron: "Wait a second. You know this girl?"

Lilly: "We have our history but yes, I know her. I used to be one of the people to take care of her when she was little. Her group however, kicked me out. I shot a girl during an argument."

Clementine: "Carley."

Lilly: "I'm guessing Lee's dead then since he isn't with you. I won't forget when he left me to die on the side of the road. I don't blame him though. I was clearly a threat when I shot that girl Carley. He would of lasted longer if he left you behind too. That boy Clementine, you'll die protecting him. Don't repeat Lee's mistakes. Come with us and convince your friends to join us peacefully and no one will be harmed. You'll have a safe place for you, your boy and your friends. You lot sitting in the woods...you know that won't last."

Clementine: "I'm not Marlon!"

Abel: "Come on Lilly, we don't have time for this!"

Lilly: "Enough! We have history."

Abel: "Yeah, you know her, I know her. The point is, we have a job to do!"

Lilly: "Come on Clementine, we don't have all day. Be smart about this."

Aaron and Minerva both look at each other and nod. They are both planning on attacking Lilly and Abel and making a run for it with Clementine. Clementine notices this and nods at them to do it. Minerva kicks Lilly in the leg, knocking her down. Aaron kicks Abel in the leg also, knocking him down too and they help Clementine up and all make a run for it!

Abel: "Fucking backstabbing pieces of shit! SHOULD OF KNOWN!"

Lilly: "GO AFTER THEM!"

Lilly and Abel are in hot pursuit of Clementine, Minerva and Aaron. Abel lands a shot in Aaron's shoulder and he flinches. He continues running but a walker herd splits Aaron and Minerva away from Clementine. All of them manage to lose Lilly and Abel who also get caught up in the herd.

Minerva: "Fuck! Aaron are you alright?!"

Aaron: "Fucking Abel got me in the shoulder. I'm good though. I can just...shake it off. We gotta help Clementine!" He says while aching in pain

Minerva: "We can't dude! There's too many fucking walkers! It's not worth the risk with your shoulder like that! We need to get you to the school and fast! You're fucking bleeding dude. That shit is gonna get infected. Clementine should be fine. The walkers seem to have helped her lose Lilly and Abel. You gotta think about yourself right now!"

Clementine has been separated from Aaron and Minerva in a large herd of walkers. Lilly and Abel seem to have gotten caught up in the herd too. Should Aaron risk moving through the herd to find Clementine or should he rush back to the school with Minerva to take care of his wound?

Chapter 5: Reuniting The Sisters

Aaron has decided to not go after Clementine and instead flee back to the school with Minerva so that he can take care of his wound.

Aaron: "Yeah. You might be right. Let's get out of here!"

Minerva: "Here! I'll help you! Just hold onto me. I don't want you straining your arm. That wound looks painful."

Aaron: "Could be worse."

Minerva: "Tough guy huh? I rep it. Anyway, let's go."

Aaron holds onto Minerva and she helps him walk back to the school. They make it back to the school with no issues. 

At the school...

Minerva and Aaron both walk up to the gate. It's locked. Minerva shouts in for help. She still has the wounded Aaron holding onto her. He's rapidly losing blood and needs immediate treatment! He looks dazed and confused.

Minerva: "HELLO!? SOMEONE OPEN UP PLEASE! I HAVE SOMEONE WHO'S WOUNDED!"

Willy walks up to the lookout spot and he sees Minerva and Aaron. 

Willy: "Holy shit! Are you alright?!"

Aaron: "No! Go get the rest! Now!"

Willy: "SOPHIE! VIOLET! AARON CAME BACK!"

Willy fetches for Sophie and Violet. Minerva and Aaron both wait at the gate until they arrive to open it for them.

Minerva: "So things may get a bit awkward when I speak to Sophie and Violet. Sophie because well you know...I did try to kill her before. Violet might be awkward because we are former girlfriends. Me explaining I'm now with you might be really awkward. I guess we'll see how it goes."

Aaron: "I guess...we'll deal with shit as it comes like I always do. AH OW!" He says while grunting in pain

Minerva nods at him in acknowledgement. Sophie and Violet both arrive at the gate and they open it to let Aaron and Minerva in. 

Sophie: "There you are! Holy fuck you don't look good. What the hell happened out ther---Oh...my...fucking...god..."

Sophie and Minerva just mindlessly stare at each other in shock. Violet stares at Minerva in shock too.

Violet: "Minnie? Is that really you?"

Minerva: "Sophie...Violet..."

Sophie: "After you know what happened, I thought you'd never come back. I figured you were done with me sister."

Minerva: "I would of been if Aaron didn't help snap me out of it. I was in a dark place Sophie and Aaron freed me from that dark place. I owe it to him."

Minerva lets go of Aaron for a second so she can hug her sister Sophie. Violet holds Aaron so he can keep his balance.

Violet: "Woah. Easy buddy. It's okay. I got you. Just hold onto me."

Aaron: "Thanks."

Violet: "I know I'm glad to see you and all but what the hell happened out there? Where's Clementine?"

Aaron: "We got split up from her in a herd of walkers. Those raiders, they chased us down and that's when we ran into a pack of walkers. God knows where she is now. I got shot and had to get back here quickly. My wound needs looked at. It's pretty bad, I'm not gonna lie. They got me good."

Violet: "Damn. That does look bad. We'll see if Ruby can do anything. She knows a thing or 2 about medical stuff. Maybe she can patch you up. Tenn knows what he's doing too."

Minerva: "Is Tenn okay? I miss that little guy. I bet he's dying to see me."

Sophie: "Oh he'll be definitely stoked to see you Minnie. You should talk to him as soon as possible. He'll be glad to know you're okay."

Minerva: "Then show me to him. We can show him that his big sisters are still big and strong."

Sophie: "Yeah. We will."

Violet: "I guess I'll help you Aaron. Come with me and I can try to find Ruby so we can patch you up."

Aaron: "Okay."

Minerva and Sophie both head inside to find Tenn so they can talk to him. Violet helps Aaron to the admin building so she can find Ruby so she can patch him up. She talks to Aaron on the way to the admin building.

Violet: "So what happened out there exactly? I'd rather hear it from you since I trust you more than I trust Minnie right now."

Aaron: "Clem and I got into a fight but we made up. After that, we went through the woods and we found Minnie. I managed to convince her to leave those raider assholes."

Violet: "How did you do it though? Sophie said to me that she's one of them and that she'll never listen. How did you pull it off?"

Aaron: "Are you sure you want to know Violet? You may not like or trust me if I tell you."

Violet: "Please just tell me. I'd rather know and at least be able to know that you're open and honest and a bit of a dick than not know and find out you're a liar that likes to hide shit. Just tell me. I promise I won't get mad at you. I won't tell anyone."

Aaron: "I...I used to be one of them too. Minnie and myself back when we were soldiers for them, we were close."

Violet: "You were one of them? Damn. You should of told me sooner. Fuck. I wouldn't of been mad at you or anything. So how did you convince Minnie then? Her own sister couldn't even convince her."

Aaron: "I...I kissed her. I told her I had feelings for her."

Violet: "You thought I'd get mad at you for that didn't you?"

Aaron: "I did think that. Didn't the both of you used to be close back in the day?"

Violet: "Yeah. I don't really feel the same anymore though. I'm not gonna lie to you here but I have feelings for someone else around here. I can't say though."

Aaron: "I see..."

Violet: "At least it's good to see that Minnie has someone close to her in her life. Anyway, let's get inside to see to that wound of yours."

They finally make it inside the admin building. Aaron sits down on a sofa while Ruby takes care of him.

Ruby: "Wow. That looks like it hurt. With a little bit of disinfectant and a nice little bandage, you should be okay. It looks like the bullets you got hit by went clean through. Considering you said the guy had a shotgun, you're really lucky to have only taken a small graze to the shoulder. Any lower and you'd have buckshot bullets stuck inside you. They would not be pretty to take out."

Violet: "Never seen someone like you that's this lucky."

Ruby disinfects Aaron's wound and bandages him.

Ruby: "You should lay down and rest. It's really dark and you need to keep your temperature down so your wound can heal properly."

Aaron: "What about Clem? She's still out there!"

Ruby: "It's too dark to even risk sending anyone out. We'll need to wait until the morning and we can send someone out to look for her."

Violet: "Yeah. It is too dark. I'd love to go out and try to find Clem but we just can't risk it when it's dark."

Aaron: "Will you look for her ASAP in the morning then? AJ will be panicking right now since his carer is still out there! Think about the kid."

Violet: "Of course we will. We aren't gonna forget about her Aaron. I'll head out with Sophie in the morning to look for her if she doesn't come back before then."

Aaron: "Alright. As long as something gets done. I don't want to be held responsible for whatever happens to her."

Violet: "That's understandable. Just rest okay? We'll handle it. I'll send Minnie up in the morning to give you some company."

Aaron: "Alright."

Ruby and Violet both leave. Aaron is left on his own to rest for the night.

Next morning...

Minerva comes up into the admin building and wakes up Aaron. She hands him a bowl of hot soup made by Omar.

Minerva: "I brought you some soup. Omar made it."

Aaron: "Ah. The great Chef Omar. The man who makes the most beautiful stew in the area. My compliments go to the chef. Thanks Minnie."

Minerva: "Enjoy it. Looks like you could use something hot to eat to make you feel better."

Aaron eats his soup. He enjoys it. He finishes it up and puts the bowl down next to him.

Minerva: "I take it you enjoyed that?"

Aaron: "Yup." He says while burping

Minerva laughs at Aaron's burping. They laugh together.

Aaron: "Is Clem back yet?"

Minerva: "Yeah, she appeared this morning with some dude nobody seems to know. He was wearing a walker mask. Weird shit. He left though. He didn't stick around. Clem said we can trust him though."

Aaron: "Walker mask? The fuck? Why would anyone want to wear a walker mask?"

Minerva: "I guess to hide his smell?"

Aaron: "Maybe. Just weird though, that's all. It must stink."

Minerva: "No kidding."

Aaron: "Can I talk to Clem? I need to see if she's alright."

Minerva: "She should be in her dorm. Probably talking to her kid. I think she's been asking for you anyway. I'll help you over there since you still look a bit dazed."

Aaron: "I'd appreciate that."

Minerva helps Aaron stand up. He's still feeling a little dazed. She takes him to Clementine's dorm. They knock on the door and Clementine opens it, letting them in. Minerva leaves when Aaron walks in to Clementine's dorm.

Clementine: "I've been waiting to talk to you. Everything is just so fucked...you know?"

Aaron: "You can say that. So what exactly happened last night when we got split up?"

Clementine: "Turns out the walker herd that attacked was actually a herd sent to save us. At least that's what this guy who saved me said."

Aaron: "It kinda did save our asses from those raiders."

Clementine: "Yep. It definitely did. I'm just glad you didn't stroll through the woods to come after me. I saw you getting shot by that guy and I was praying for you to just run for it."

Aaron: "Well I did run for it. I was debating whether I should of tried helping you. Minnie convinced me to focus on myself since I was hurt."

Clementine: "Well Minnie knows her shit then. I can see why you wanted to help me. You thought I'd get mad at you for not trying. It's understandable. Even though we have our differences, I won't get mad at you unless you give me a good reason to. As I said before, you're forgiven and I can be your friend if you show me that you can be my friend. "

Aaron: "Well...uh...thanks?"

Clementine: "Hopefully by now, most of the kids here have set up some of the traps for when these raiders show up. I gathered a map and I talked through the plan Sophie ran you through the other night. When you're feeling up for it, I want you to join me and help me set some shit up. We know when to expect the raiders since Lilly herself said they'd be back in 2 weeks. So we have time but to be safe, we should always expect them early in case they change their plans."

Aaron: "I can help you right now if you want."

Clementine: "You sure? Don't you want to take time to let your arm heal?"

Aaron: "Clem. Worry about yourself. I'm alright."

Clementine: "Jesus. Sorry. I was just trying to be nice to you. Sorry." She says in a slightly disappointed tone

Clementine and Aaron both head out to set up some more defences for the school. For the next 2 weeks, everyone keeps busy and always has 1 or 2 people on lookout every night.

2 weeks later...

Aaron heads outside after he was talking to Minerva for a bit. He sees Violet and Clementine chatting about their current state in the defence situation. 

Violet: "Oh hey there Aaron. Clem and I was just chatting about some of the others and how they're getting on with everything. It's been 2 weeks now and they still haven't attacked. I'd imagine they will soon though."

Aaron: "Yeah, all this waiting is putting everyone on edge."

Violet: "Tell me about it. I saw Willy and Aasim getting into a fight earlier over a damn trap. If anything, we'll end up killing each other before the raiders get a chance."

Aaron: "Maybe we just gotta find a way to unwind and relax for a bit."

Violet: "How do you propose we do that?"

Louis walks over.

Louis: "I know how to calm us all down. That would be by playing a game..." He says while holding a stack of cards in his hand

Clementine: "Oh god. Not this again hahaha!"

Louis: "What? You know it's fun! Come on and play!"

Aaron: "Alright. We're coming. Come on Clem and Vi. Let's do it."

Clementine: "Fine." She says while slightly smiling

Violet, Clementine, Aaron, Louis, Minerva, Tenn and AJ all join in to play a card game.

Violet: "We haven't played a game since that night with Marlon."

Aaron: "I wouldn't know. I wasn't there that night."

Minerva: "That makes 2 of us."

Violet: "So what are we playing then Lou?"

Louis: "Truth or dare!"

Violet: "You don't use cards in truth or dare."

Louis: "You do in this version."

Minerva: "So how do you play?"

Louis: "So the person who draws the highest card gets to ask. Lowest has to answer."

Minerva: "Alright so let's start then."

Round 1, Violet draws the highest card and Minerva draws the lowest.

Violet: "Oh...this will be fun. Let's start with the dares. Minnie, I dare you to slap someone in the face. Right now. Anyone you want."

Minerva: "Seriously? You're merciless. Damn."

Violet: "Not as merciless as you'll be in a second hahaha!"

Minerva slaps Violet. Everyone laughs, including Violet.

Violet: "Damn. Really? Me?"

Minerva: "You asked for me to slap someone. So I slapped the asker. Careful what you wish for Violet hehehe."

Violet: "Alright. I'll give you that." She says while giggling

Round 2, Aaron draws the highest card and Clementine draws the lowest.

Aaron: "Hm. This will be good. This one is inspired by some of the fun stuff Violet asks me. Clementine. Truth. Marry, fuck, kill."

Tenn: "Aaron...keep it clean."

Aaron: "Uh...fine. Marry...flip...kill. Violet, that guy James you met in the woods and...Aasim."

Clementine: "Oh god."

Louis: "Come on Clem. You gotta answer. Gotta follow the rules."

Clementine: "Okay. I would marry...Violet."

Violet blushes.

Violet: "Oh. I...uh...thanks?"

Clementine winks at Violet.

Louis: "Clem's moves are working on all the ladies. I like it."

Clementine: "I would flip...Aasim."

Louis: "Damn. At least he isn't here to hear that. I heard he's into redheads if you catch my drift."

Clementine: "Oh...I know." She says while laughing

Louis: "That means you're killing the boy in the woods. Poor guy. None of us ever got to meet him. I guess he'll forever be a figment of Clem's imagination."

Round 3, Louis draws the highest card and Violet draws the lowest.

Louis: "Violet. We never get to know much about you. I always tease others about everything so I think it's time to tease you. So Violet, is there anyone here you like like?"

Violet: "Seriously? Like like? What are you...6?"

Louis: "7, thank you."

Violet: "Uh...fine. Fuck it. Yes. There's someone here I have feelings for."

Louis: "Ohhhh. Who is it?"

Violet: "Oh no. Fuck right off. I'm definitely not telling."

Louis: "Suit yourself hahaha. Keep your secrets but I know everything Violet. You can't hide those feelings forever."

Violet: "Shut up. Please."

Round 4, Minerva draws the highest card and AJ draws the lowest.

Minerva: "I'll keep it simple. So AJ, who used to take care of you before Clem did?"

AJ: "I don't remember much before Clem. I was only a baby. I can tell you took care of me when Clem lost me. A group called The New Frontier. A man called David, he took me away from Clem when they kicked her out of the group. He handed me over to a doctor. He took real good care of me and left me in a nursery where others took care of me. The place eventually got attacked and Clem came to my rescue. The entire ranch. It was a great place before the blood. It was...the worst event I've ever witnessed."

Everyone shows sympathy for AJ.

Minerva: "I'm...I'm sorry to hear that. Must of been rough on you."

AJ: "Worst day of my life."

Minerva: "I can imagine."

Round 5, Clementine draws the highest card and Tenn draws the lowest.

Clementine: "Hey Tenn. What do you think happened to your sisters when you found out they weren't dead and why?"

Tenn: "Oh. So...I thought they'd be one of them now. The bad guys. I thought they'd never come back. I always imagined them to still be happy and safe no matter where they were. I would of drawn pictures of them standing with their new people all happy and safe. You see, I always try to look at the bright side of things. It's just better, you know?"

Clementine: "That's very sweet Tenn. I never look at the bright side of things. You...you're just so perceptive. You always see the good in everyone, in everything. If only everyone was as good and innocent as you. I remember being that age. It's just so sweet to be kind. It's just a shame that being too kind can be dangerous these days."

Tenn: "I know what you mean. My sisters can keep me right though. They'll know when to make sure that I have to be tough. Until I need to be tough, I'll just keep being me."

Clementine hugs Tenn.

Clementine: "I just wish there was more people like you. The world would be a better place."

Tenn: "We can all make it a better place if we try hard enough."

Clementine: "Maybe eventually there'll be world peace. Until then, we just have to endure all the pain."

Tenn: "We can endure it all together."

Clementine: "We all will. As a big family."

Everyone smiles at Tenn and Clementine.

Louis: "Well that's a good place to call it. I'm going to finish off my project. I'll catch you all in a bit."

Minerva: "Aaron, how about you come with me and we can...talk. Somewhere private. If you get my meaning."

Aaron: "Okay then. Now that you put it that way, you know I'm down."

Minerva: "Then it's a plan."

Violet: "I'm heading up to the bell tower to check the defences before heading to bed. I'd like it Clem if you could join me. I got something I want to chat to you about if you have the time."

Violet wants to hang out with Clementine while checking the defences from the bell tower. Clementine has a lookout shift in a bit. Should Clementine spend some time with Violet or should she decline Violet's offer?

Chapter Text

Note before the story starts: 

From this chapter onwards, I am now introducing the new choice impact system that will be implemented into the previous chapters over time. Basically it's a system that displays to you how impactful each of the choice options can be from a small scale of Very Low, Low, Medium, High and Very High. This will give you a brief idea on how impactful the choice options are. Now keep in mind that high impact can mean good or bad so you have to still be careful when picking. Sometimes picking the low impact or high impact choices can benefit you. It's up to you to figure out what choices are good or bad. Low impact bad choices won't do anything severe but they can lead to future severe bad events so proceed with caution. The same can be said for low impact good choices. The choice selection as a whole will also have an impact rating to show you how impactful the current choice selection as a whole can be.

Chapter 6: The School Raid

Clementine has decided to accept Violet's offer and spend time with her. 

Clementine: "Alright Violet. I'm coming."

Violet: "Awesome!  If you could follow me then."

Clementine follows Violet to the bell tower. Minerva and Aaron both head to the piano room together. 

The bell tower...

Both Clementine and Violet walk in together and close the door behind them. They begin climbing up to the top of the bell tower.

Clementine: "Looks a little dangerous don't you think?"

Violet: "What could be more dangerous than the raiders? Or that death-trap you call a car!" She says while smiling

Clementine: "That's fair."

Violet: "Come on now! You're not chicken right?"

Clementine: "Haha! Nope!"

Violet: "Then come on then slow poke!"

Clementine: "I can only climb so fast Violet."

They finally make it to the top and they both walk around at the top to admire the beautiful view along with the peace and quiet.

Violet: "It's beautiful isn't it?"

Clementine: "Yeah. You'd never think with the peace and quiet you get up here that the rest of the world currently sits in ruins."

Violet: "Exactly. It's why I come up here. Sometimes I need to get away from everything. Do you wanna hang out for a bit before we check defences?"

Clementine: "Sure." She says while smiling

They both sit down by a ledge together.

Violet: "So Clem. You know you could of just left after all the shit Marlon done. You didn't have to stay. You could of avoided all the bullshit with the raiders. Seemed like Aaron had us covered anyway. So tell me. Why didn't you leave? I know it puts you on the spot but I'm just curious since if that was me, I would of just left. It would of been too much for me."

Clementine: "I always thought about leaving. I couldn't bring myself to do it though. Despite what Marlon done, you guys are all my friends now and secondly, I wasn't gonna leave knowing you're still here. I didn't want to leave you Violet. You've shown me a type of loyalty that no other has shown. I can't help but relate so much to you. In other words, as long as you're here, I'm not going anywhere. Not without you anyway."

Violet blushes. Clementine notices this. 

Violet: "Oh. Well...I'm...I'm glad to hear that." She says while still blushing

Clementine: "What's your take on Minnie and Aaron? Aaron specifically."

Violet: "I like Aaron. He's cool. He's always nice to me and treats me with respect. Something some of the others can't do properly."

Clementine: "Well I'm glad to hear that. It means I was right about him. It means he has changed. That makes me feel a bit better now."

Violet: "He never used to be the same?"

Clementine: "No. He never used to be the good guy he is today. He did a lot of fucked up things in the past with me. I would tell you what he did but I promised him I'd tell no one. All that needs to be known is that what he did was fucked up beyond all belief."

Violet: "Well he's good now so that's great I suppose."

Clementine: "Yeah. I have faith in him. Faith I shouldn't have but I do because I have a heart for everyone. Especially you."

Violet blushes again.

Violet: "Stop it Clem. You're making me blush." She says while giggling

Clementine: "Well it's true hahaha!"

Violet: "So as for Minnie, she isn't the same person I used to know her as before. She's...different. More fearless. More serious. Her time with those assholes have definitely changed her. I'm just glad Aaron found her when he did otherwise she may not have came back. I did tell you I used to have feelings for her a long time ago right?"

Clementine: "Yeah. You did. You told me on the first night I arrived at the school."

Violet: "Oh yeah. That conversation. When I started to be more open with you."

Clementine: "I enjoyed the conversation. It helped me see things from your perspective. It helped me relate to you. Losing people and all."

Violet: "Yeah and now here we are. Hanging out on top of a bell tower together like best friends."

Clementine: "Just best friends?"

Violet blushes for the 3rd time. She takes note of what Clementine said. Feeling confident enough, Violet has now mustered up enough energy to ask Clementine if they can be girlfriends.

Violet: "So Clem? I don't know what you'll say about this but we've been great friends for 2 weeks. Hell, we even act like family more than we do friends so I figured it's time I ask. I have feelings for you Clem and I was wondering if...do you feel the same way?"

Clementine blushes. She turns her head to face Violet and she holds onto Violet's hand. She leans forward and kisses her. This shocks both of them.

Violet: "Oh...well...I...holy shit. I guess that's that then. Like damn. Holy shit!" She says while smiling

Clementine: "That was...romantic. Wow. I've never felt something like that before but it's a great feeling."

Violet: "I bet you right now that Aaron is probably going in for it with Minnie right now. We both know they're a thing. They admitted it 2 weeks ago."

Clementine: "Well I hope whatever they're doing, they enjoy it. Should we...tell anyone about our new relationship?"

Violet: "Nah. Let them figure it out on their own. It's more fun that way hehehe."

Clementine: "Haha! You're right! It is more fun that way."

Ruby shouts up at them from below.

Ruby: "CLEM! VI! You both out here?!"

Violet: "Shit. It's probably time for your lookout shift. You ready?"

Clementine: "Always. Let's go."

They both climb down from the bell tower and Violet sits in the yard on standby while Clementine goes on lookout with AJ.

Meanwhile in the piano room...

Minerva and Aaron are sitting down on the floor playing a 2 player card game with Louis' cards. Louis is playing the piano for them. He is playing the songs he's doing for his special project. Minerva and Aaron doesn't mind Louis being there during their hang out session.

Louis: "I see you both are quite the couple. Just pretend I'm not here if that makes you more comfortable. I'm not too bothered by what you both do so don't worry hahaha! Got my special project to work on here. At least you get to hear a master musician at work while you show signs of affection to one another."

Aaron: "Well show us what you got oh great master of the piano!" He says while laughing

Louis: "Alright since you asked so kindly. What kind of music do you want me to play?"

Minerva: "Since me and Aaron are on the topic, play something calming and romantic."

Louis: "Oh, spicy! I love it. One romantic calming song coming right up!"

Louis starts playing a calm and romantic song on the piano. This puts Aaron and Minerva in the mood for what they're doing now.

Minerva: "Ha! You drew a jack! You have to tell me your biggest fear! I totally won't scare you by exploiting it hehehe!"

Aaron: "Damn you! Alright. If you don't include fears that involve death then I'd say my biggest fear is people coming up behind me without me knowing they're there."

Minerva: "Good to know." She says while giggling

Minerva draws a card. She draws a 10.

Minerva: "Alright then, so I have to tell you the grossest thing I've ever eaten."

Aaron: "And that would be?"

Minerva: "I ate a fucking spider once. It was the grossest shit but I was dared to do it. If you don't mind me asking, have you ate anything grosser than that?"

Aaron: "Yes. I came across a group of cannibals one time and they made me human meat. It was a dude's fucking arm. It was nasty."

Minerva: "Damn and I thought I had it rough. Holy shit! The more you know..."

Aaron draws a card. He draws a queen.

Minerva: "Oh. So the rules say that if you draw a queen, you get to come up with a dare for your opponent. So uh...do your worst then!"

Aaron: "I got a spicy dare. I would go further with this dare if Louis wasn't around but this will have to do. I dare you to take off any piece of clothing. I would of asked you to take off most, if not all but since Louis is around, I'll only make you do 1. We'll keep it appropriate since we have a spectator."

Minerva looks at Aaron. She gives him a merciless look.

Minerva: "I'd be totally down to take off everything for you. But I guess that's a conversation for the bed and when no one is around. I'll take off my outdoor clothing for you. You get to at least see the inner me for now. Eventually like I said a second ago, you'll see the innest of me but only when we're completely alone."

Louis: "Yeah, I'd rather not get involved with that. Good to know that you'd be willing to do that for him though. Well as long as both of you enjoy it, that's all that matters."

Minerva takes off her outdoor clothing. She is now only wearing a small vest and she is seen in her underwear. Louis doesn't look. Aaron likes what he sees.

Minerva: "You're merciless you know that Aaron? I wouldn't advise turning around Louis. I'm sure you don't want to see me in my underwear."

Louis: "Yeah. I know. I wasn't planning on looking anyway."

Minerva: "Are you sure about that?"

Louis: "Alright. It's tempting but I won't do it haha!"

Minerva: "Anyway Aaron, enjoy what you see while you can. Only you get the privilege to have me do something like this. Consider yourself lucky." 

Minerva draws a card. She draws a king.

Minerva: "Things just get even more steamy by the minute. When you draw a king, you have to make out with the other player. Me, make out with you while in my vest and in my underwear. This is gonna get interesting."

Aaron: "Haha! Well what are you waiting for then. Come at me and give me your worst!"

Louis: "Oh boy..."

Aaron and Minerva while still sitting down, both move closer to each and Aaron holds Minerva in his arms. They both for the next minute, make out. Louis while still playing his song can just hear the kissing and he's giggling to himself at the love he's witnessing. Both of them finally stop.

Minerva: "Damn. You're a fierce kisser. Save some more for bedtime buckeroo."

Aaron: "I think I might just have to do that."

Clementine shouts in for them from outside. She spotted the raiders! They're coming!

Clementine: "AARON! MINNIE! GET OUT HERE! IT'S TIME!"

Minerva: "Fuck. They're finally here? I guess we'll have to survive what's coming if we're ever gonna time for the bed."

Aaron: "I guess so. Anyway, enough of that. Get your clothes back on. We need to go now. Louis! You too!"

Louis: "Alright. Just stay safe. Both of you."

Aaron: "You too man. This is gonna be the fight of our lives."

Minerva: "No kidding."

Minerva puts her outdoor clothes back on and all 3 of them now head outside to join Clementine and the rest.

In the yard...

Aaron: "They finally show up?"

Clementine: "Yup. Me and AJ spotted Abel. We saw horse carts too. Probably to take people away."

Mitch: "Fucking assholes. We're gonna take them down. I got that bomb ready. I'll put it under those carts and we can blast those motherfuckers to hell!"

Sophie: "Aaron. I need to talk quickly." She whispers to Aaron

Aaron: "What's wrong?" He whispers to Sophie

Sophie: "If it comes to anything Aaron, you need to prioritise Minnie and myself over anyone else. We cannot get captured again. We just can't. These are the kind of people who don't offer second chances. They will shoot or torture us with no hesitation." She whispers to Aaron

Aaron: "I'll keep that in mind." He whispers to Sophie

Sophie: "I know you'll do the right thing. I know you will. I have a lot of faith in you my friend." She whispers to Aaron

Minerva: "Aaron. Keep my brother safe, okay?"

Aaron: "Of course."

Minerva: "Thank you."

Louis: "So uh...any last words of wisdom?"

Clementine: "Just try not to die---"

Omar: "SHIT!"

Omar gets shot! Aaron grabs him and drags him behind cover. The raiders starts ramming the front gate. All the kids take cover. The raiders are heard shouting from outside.

Abel: "PUSH!"

Lilly: "CLEMENTINE! AARON! MINNIE! WE KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE!"

Abel: "OPEN UP KIDS! This doesn't have to get any uglier!" 

They continue ramming the gate. They eventually bust it open and they all march inside. They are seen coming in with lots of soldiers and horse carts. They have a sniper in the trees.

Lilly: "Looks like they prepared for this."

Abel: "We're still gonna get them."

Lilly: "Spread out and look for them."

Clementine comes out of cover equipped with a bow and she points it at Lilly, getting her attention.

Clementine: "LILLY!"

Lilly: "It's you..."

Clementine: "MOVE AND I'LL SHOOT!"

Abel: "You won't get the chance!"

Lilly: "Where's our new recruits Clementine?"

Clementine: "They're not yours!"

Lilly: "Come on Clementine. Tell us where they are or I'll find someone who will. We've recruited from this school before."

Clementine: "Haha! That's when you're screwed Lilly! You have no inside man to help you this time! Marlon is dead! Minnie and Sophie are on our side so you have no one to help you!"

Lilly: "We'll still find a way you ungrateful bitch!" 

Clementine: "Ha! Bitch? You're one to talk Lilly!"

Lilly: "SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

Mitch and Willy both start sneaking up to the horse carts with their bombs so they can plant and light them. Clementine continues to piss off Lilly as a distraction. 

Clementine: "Oh what's wrong? Your asshole dad not strong enough to protect you? Look where his attitude got him. Look where your attitude will get you if you follow in his mistakes."

Lilly channels a large amount of rage inside herself. She pulls the trigger and tries to kill Clementine. She misses her and Clementine quickly ducks down.

Clementine: "HAHA! MISSED ME!"

Lilly: "You fucking bitch! I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!"

Mitch and Willy both light up their bombs and they get spotted. They are very quickly shot dead. The bombs go off creating a huge ruckus! A fight now begins between the 2 sides and bullets along with arrows are exchanged from both sides.

Minerva: "Fuck! They got Mitch and Willy. Goddammit! Everyone fall back! Now! Into the admin building!"

Aaron nods at her in acknowledgement. Clementine, AJ, Minerva and Aaron all fall back into the admin building. The rest of the kids all stay outside to keep the majority of the raiders busy. 

Inside the admin building...

Everyone rushes upstairs to wait for the raiders to walk underneath their brick trap. Abel and 2 other soldiers march inside. Aaron cuts the rope for the brick trap and the trap takes out 2 of the soldiers. Abel avoided it. Abel runs up after them and tries to shoot them and misses. 

Abel: "Fucking pointless! I told Lilly you all wouldn't cooperate!"

Abel throws a molotov cocktail at them, causing Minerva and Aaron to get split up from Clementine and AJ. Clementine and AJ fall back into the admin office while Minerva and Aaron both run outside. Abel chases after Clementine and AJ.

Outside...

Minerva: "I'm going to go help Sophie and Tenn! You hold the fort Aaron! Good luck! Stay safe!"

Aaron: "You too Minnie!"

Minerva kisses Aaron quickly before rushing over to Tenn and Sophie to help them. Aaron holds down the fort in front of the admin building entrance. Minutes later, Clementine flies out of a second story window with Abel. They crash land into the yard. Abel is completely incapacitated. Clementine goes to finish him off but is stopped by Lilly. Just before Lilly can pull the trigger on Clementine, Aaron rushes at her and knocks her down to the ground. Aaron grabs Clementine's hand and they quickly get away from Lilly.

Aaron: "A bit too close don't you think?"

Clementine: "No kidding. Thanks for the help there. Fucking saved my ass. I owe you one."

Minerva: "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HIM!" She shouts at Lilly

Lilly tries to take Tenn and Minerva stops her. Tenn gets away and Lilly manages to grab Minerva! The other soldiers have managed to put Aasim and Omar into the carts. Louis, Violet and Sophie have also all been grabbed and they are being dragged away.

Clementine: "Fuck! They have most of our friends. We don't have time to save them all Aaron! Pick someone to save now! We gotta at least do something! NOW AARON!"

Clementine and Aaron only has time to save 1 person each out of the people currently being dragged away. Who should they save?

Chapter Text

Chapter 7: Sisterhood Broken in Half

Aaron has decided he will fire his gun to save Minerva and Clementine will fire her bow to save Violet. They both fire, both of them saving their loved ones. Sophie and Louis both get knocked out and thrown into the horse carts. The horse carts manage to get away with 4 of the kids. Those kids being Omar, Aasim, Louis and Sophie. Clementine and Aaron both grab their loved ones that they saved and they get taken out of harm's way.

Minerva: "Jesus. Thanks for that. Fucker nearly got me. They got away with Sophie and Louis though!"

Aaron: "Then lets do something about that then! Fight them!"

Minerva: "With pleasure!"

Violet: "They're trying to run away!"

Clementine: "LET'S STOP THEM!"

Lilly runs to the gate of the school and is holding a molotov in her hand. All of her raider friends have all ran outside the school and are all ready to flee with the people they've captured.

Lilly: "We've cut our losses! Pull in and fall back! FALL BACK!"

Lilly throws a molotov at the gate entrance and she runs off with the rest of the raiders along with the horse carts carrying the people they've captured. Walkers flood into the school after the raiders leave and the remaining kids all manage to deal with them. Once the walkers are cleared out, they all regroup to look at the aftermath. 

Ruby: "They...they just killed Mitch and Willy. Just like that..." She says while crying

Minerva: "Fuck! They got away with 4 of our friends! Aasim, Omar, Louis and...Sophie! Fuck! They got Sophie!"

Aaron: "I know. We're going after them! They're not gonna get away with this!" He says while holding his hand on Minerva's shoulder

Minerva: "I'm just worried about Sophie. I...I...I don't think she's gonna make it. These people Aaron. They don't treat traitors so kindly. I think when we find her...she's gonna be dead."

Aaron: "Fuck! She might be as well. I think I remember her telling me the same thing just before the raid about them killing traitors. Fuck, I should of saved both of you. FUCK! This is all my fucking fault!"

Minerva holds onto Aaron and hugs him. She is very passionate too. She can be seen shedding tears while holding onto Aaron. Aaron's jacket gets soaked in Minerva's tears.

Minerva: "This isn't your fault. There's nothing we could of done. It was a fucked situation. Don't ever think this was your fault. You done what you could. You saved me. You done what you thought was right."

Aaron: "I saved you because you're my damn girlfriend. I love you Minnie and I couldn't let them take you."

Minerva: "I know and that's why I'm proud of you. You protected me. Because you truly love me. And it's why I'm telling you that what happened to Sophie is far from your fault."

Clementine: "I could of saved her goddammit!"

Minerva: "But then maybe Violet wouldn't be alright. You done what you could as well Clem. You had Violet to worry about. She's close to you isn't she? Seems to me that she is."

Violet: "You're right Minnie. We are close. Only just confessed our feelings tonight actually."

Minerva: "Well then there you go Clem. You also prioritised the person you love. That's what a real person does."

Clementine: "I guess you're right but we both can't help but think we could of done something more for your sister. Now she's probably gonna end up dead. And we could of stopped it. That feeling is gonna haunt Aaron and myself forever. I hope you know that."

Minerva: "I know. We're all gonna have to work together then if we're gonna have a chance of getting her along with the others back."

Violet: "Let's all figure that plan out together in the morning. We gotta clean up this mess first and bury Mitch and Willy."

Minerva: "Yeah. You're right. Here's what to do. Violet. You and I should clean up the mess. Clem and Aaron, you 2 should go rest. Fuck, after saving our asses, you sure as hell both earned a break. Thank you both of you for saving us."

Violet: "Yeah. Thanks. Both of you. This will never be forgotten. We owe you both big time."

Aaron: "You can owe to us in kisses and hugs haha!"

Violet: "I suppose we can do that. You are with Minnie and I'm with Clem after all."

Minerva: "Yup haha! We'll make worth your while. Both of you."

Clementine: "Come on Aaron. Let's talk in private somewhere. It's important. AJ! You come too. Don't wanna leave you out here buddy."

AJ: "Okay. And I'm okay by the way."

Clementine: "I'm glad."

Clementine and Aaron both head to Clementine's dorm to chat in private. AJ comes with them. Minerva, Violet and the rest all work on cleaning up the mess for the rest of the night. Minerva checks on Tenn to make sure he's feeling okay.

Inside Clementine's dorm...

Clementine, AJ and Aaron all walk in. AJ jumps into bed and goes to sleep. Clementine sits down on her bed and Aaron shuts the door behind them.

Clementine: "Sit down next to me. We need to talk. Don't worry, I don't bite. As long as you don't make me."

Aaron: "Alright. Since you asked so nicely."

Aaron sits down next to Clementine. They both look at each other and chat.

Clementine: "Back out there. During the raid. You did more than just save your girlfriend Aaron. You saved me. I just wanted to say...thank you. What you did during that raid was really brave. I...I don't know how to repay you. I always thought bad of you ever since...well...you know. But today you proved that you do really care for people. After all our bad moments in the past, you didn't even have to help me. Tell me Aaron. What made you help me?"

Aaron: "Clem, it doesn't matter how shit of a past we had. We think about the present and right now, you're a good friend. I should of treated you better when I first met you but what matters is we're cool now. You gave me a second chance so here I am now, returning the favour. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I let something happen to you. Especially since you have a little boy with you. A girl, who loves you. I wasn't willing to let everyone lose you. I don't want to lose you. Together we're all strong. All friends."

Clementine: "I uh...I don't know what to say. I...thank you so much. I would kiss you but...you know we can't do that considering. But the least I can offer you is my love of a great friendship."

Clementine and Aaron lean closer to each other and they both share a deep and immense hug of true friendship and love. They are now best friends. True best friends. It's a very wholesome moment between the 2 of them.

Aaron: "So we're like...best friends now?"

Clementine: "Yeah. Best friends. Hopefully best friends forever."

Aaron: "I suppose I gotta go now. So I can get some sleep."

Clementine: "Wait! Don't go. Spend the night with me. I want to remember this. Please. I can sleep with AJ and you can have my bed. I just want to spend the night with you to remember this day that we became best friends."

Aaron looks at Clementine for a few seconds. He accepts her offer to sleep with her and AJ for the night. This pleases Clementine and makes her very happy.

Aaron: "Sure."

Clementine: "Thank you. I won't forget this. I'm just...sorry I always treated you like shit."

Aaron: "It was my fault, for being a prick. You had every reason to get mad at me. My brother was..."

Clementine: "I guess I did have my reasons. It still doesn't lie right with me though. I'll remember that every time I think about you."

Aaron: "Well I guess it's time for shuteye. Goodnight Clem. Try not to have any nightmares."

Clementine: "Ha! I'll try not to. Goodnight. Best friend."

Everyone heads to sleep. Aaron wakes up in the morning before Clementine. He gets out of bed and stands up.

AJ: "I see you're up. Clem always sleeps in. She's quite lazy."

Aaron: "Huh. I can tell. I thought I was the lazy turd. Looks like someone's actually lazier than me haha!"

AJ: "Get to know more about Clem and she'll tell you all about lazy! You'll learn something or 2 about her."

Aaron: "Ha! I bet I will. Well it's good getting to know the both of you."

AJ: "Come back and talk to us some more sometime. Clem always talks about you. She likes you and always wanted to tell you how much of a good friend you are to her.."

Aaron: "Yeah, I know. She gave me an earful last night."

AJ: "She did?"

Aaron: "Yep. We hugged, she announced us as best friends. Shit like that."

AJ: "Well that's good to hear."

Aaron: "I'm just glad we get along now. We had our moments years ago."

AJ: "I know. She told me a lot about what you did."

Aaron: "I figured."

Clementine wakes up. She sits up.

Clementine: "Uh...what are you both up to? Did I sleep in again?"

AJ: "Yes. You always do!"

Clementine: "Ah. What can you do? I guess it's my thing."

Aaron: "Sleepyhead!"

Clementine: "Hey! Shut up! You little shit hahaha!"

Aaron: "Make me!"

Clementine: "Uh I'm gonna fucking stab you. Mark my words boy!"

Aaron: "Funny one aren't you?"

Clementine: "Oh I try to be."

Aaron: "You have some humour. That's why I haven't killed you already."

Clementine: "Ha fucking ha!" She says in a very playful tone

Aaron: "Okay so what are we doing?"

Clementine: "Allow me time to wake up. You should go see Minnie and Violet and see if they need anything. They'll probably be wondering why you slept the night with me. Run along now. I'll catch you in a bit friend."

Aaron: "Alright. See you later."

They hug before Aaron leaves.

Outside in the yard...

Minerva and Violet are sitting by the dinner tables. Aaron walks up to them and they all sit down and talk about what happened.

Minerva: "There you are! Where were you last night?"

Aaron: "I slept the night with Clem. Don't worry...we slept in separate beds. We ain't cheating on you both."

Minerva: "Just making sure. You never know ha! Anyway, all seriousness, we need to talk."

Aaron: "What's on your mind?"

Minerva: "Abel. We tortured him and interrogated him for some information. He wasn't too helpful since I already know a lot about what we're dealing with. He gave us what he could and we had to put him out of his misery since his injury from his fight with Clementine was fatal. If anything death was a mercy for him."

Aaron: "Can't say I'll miss him."

Minerva: "Huh. Yeah. Now we just gotta find a way to get on the boat and get our friends out of there."

Violet: "Minnie and I came up with what we can all do. We can scout out their boat today and come up with a plan to get on there. We can execute the plan tonight."

Aaron: "Sounds plausible enough. When are we going out to scout?"

Minerva: "As soon as Clementine and AJ are ready, we can go."

Aaron: "Alright then. Sounds like a plan."

Later that day, everyone heads out to do some scouting of the boat. Everyone sneaks through the woods and they find the boat. They hide in a safe spot nearby to scout out the boat safely.

In the woods by the boat...

Minerva: "There it is. The fucking boat of the people I thought were good people. I was wrong about everything. Aaron helped me see that. I'm still grateful to you today that you freed me from that curse."

Aaron kisses Minerva.

Aaron: "You were my friend Minnie. I couldn't let them turn you into a monster. I care about you. Your friends care about you."

Minerva: "And I care about you too. I won't let these assholes take you or anyone else. Just remember that."

Aaron: "I'll do what it takes to protect you too."

Clementine: "So over there it looks like there's a few of them upper deck. Probably more inside."

Minerva: "There's 8 of us. They always come with groups of 8."

Clementine: "Good to know."

AJ: "I see the way in! That gate just by the end of the wood street."

Clementine: "That's called a pier but yeah, that's the way in. There's a gap at the top. Me and you know how to deal with those."

Violet: "Minnie, where do you reckon they'd keep prisoners?"

Minerva: "Lower deck. There's a holding cell area. They'll definitely be in there. Most likely guarded as well."

Aaron: "The beach there. It's the only way leading up to the pier. We're gonna need one hell of a distraction to sneak on there without being seen."

Clementine: "Maybe that's not as hard as you think. We could use---"

The guards yell from the beach when they see some walkers approaching them. They shoot the walkers.

Guards: "WALKERS!"

Clementine: "Perfect! As I was saying, we can use walkers to sneak onto the boat undetected if we gather a big enough group of them onto the beach."

Minerva: "How the fuck are you gonna do that?"

Clementine: "Remember that guy I spoke to you about before? James. He used walkers to save me from Lilly and Abel before. perhaps we could convince him to do something like that again."

Aaron: "You're fucking crazy but since we're best friends and all, I'll trust you on this one."

Clementine: "That's all I can ask for. Just trust me, I know what I'm doing."

Aaron: "Ima hold you at that then."

Violet: "Now over there you can see they have a supply raft by the water and some horses by the trees over there. We could create a distraction using those while a group of us sneaks through those walkers Clem spoke about. We could burn the hay as our distraction and steal the supplies or vice versa. Whatever works for you guys."

Aaron: "We're better off with the supplies. We'll burn the hay as our distraction."

Clementine: "We need a team sneaking onboard. The team sneaking on the boat will need to cover themselves in walker guts so they can safely blend in amongst the herd that hopefully James will lead onto the beach."

Aaron: "Sounds good. We have our plan then. Let's get the fuck out of here."

Minerva spots Sophie on the boat. She's being brutalised! Minerva panics!

Minerva: "HOLY SHIT! SOPHIE! Fuck...no..."

Aaron: "What the hell is---oh my god..."

Minerva: "What the fuck are they doing to her?! Sophie...no...FUCK!"

Sophie is being beaten to death. She can be seen in the distance spitting out a lot of blood. The soldiers eventually stop assaulting her and they drag her back inside.

Aaron: "They really aren't messing around with her. I'm so sorry Minnie."

Minerva: "She doesn't have a lot of time left. We need to get her out and fast! She can't take much more. Poor fucking Sophie..."

Aaron: "Come on let's go."

Minerva: "I'm gonna fucking kill every single one of them! Fucking animals! They're gonna fucking pay for this."

Everyone leaves. Clementine and AJ splits up from the rest to go look for James. Everyone other than them all head back to the school.

In the school yard...

Minerva: "So Aaron, you know how to make bombs right?"

Aaron: "Yeah...why?"

Minerva: "We're gonna blow up the fucking boat! We might as well make sure they don't come back after us when we get our friends."

Aaron: "You're mentally fucking crazy Minnie!"

Minerva mercilessly laughs at Aaron.

Minerva: "Misery...loves...company."

Aaron: "Okay, you've sold me. I'll make us a bomb. At least you got the humour."

Minerva: "Haha! At least I know I can sweet talk you into shit with my humour."

Aaron: "And that's why I like you Minnie."

Minerva: "Same applies to you beautiful. Come here."

Minerva kisses Aaron. Ruby walks over afterwards.

Ruby: "Hey guys. I was thinking we'd throw a party tonight before the big gig. Something to lift our spirits up."

Minerva: "Hell yeah! You know I'm down! Get that party started Ruby!"

Ruby: "Awesome! I'll let Clem know when she comes back."

Ruby leaves.

Minerva: "So Aaron. Who's exactly going onto this boat then with this 'bomb'?"

Aaron has to decide who should sneak onto the boat with the bomb that Aaron will make. Clementine and AJ are going in to sneak on the boat and Aaron has to decide who will join them. Only 3 extra people at max can join them. Who should join them on this mission?

Chapter 8: Blood and Tears

Aaron has decided that he will send Violet, Minerva and himself onto the boat with Clementine and AJ. It's a ballsy plan indeed. Especially with a group of 5. Aaron doesn't care. He thinks that more numbers will improve their odds. They'll all find out shortly if Aaron's logic is true.

Aaron: "I know it sounds crazy but 5 of us will be going on the boat. Clementine, AJ, me, you and Violet. I think that if we have more numbers, our chances are better."

Minerva: "In a confrontation our chances are better. At staying undetected, more numbers will make stealth harder. I like your style though. I love myself a good fucking confrontation. Makes me feel powerful. And I want to fucking slit Lilly's throat with my blade. For Sophie..."

Aaron: "For Sophie!"

Minerva: "Hell yeah! Nothing better than some pure sweet fucking revenge!"

Aaron: "Yup. Come on now. Go and help Ruby set up the party. I'll be there shortly. I need to spend the next few hours crafting this bomb."

Minerva: "Good luck with that."

Aaron: "Thanks. I promise it won't fail. I know what I'm doing."

Aaron heads to the greenhouse for a few hours to work on his bomb. Minerva helps Ruby and the rest set up the party. During Aaron's busy hours, Clementine and AJ both return. They hang out in their dorm for a bit while the rest are setting up the party. Once Aaron's bomb is finally crafted, he heads to Clementine's dorm since he heard her returning earlier. 

Clementine's dorm...

Aaron while holding the bomb in 1 hand, knocks on Clementine's door.

Clementine: "Come in!"

Aaron walks in. He can see Clementine making love with Violet. He doesn't question it and just walks up to her to talk to her about the bomb and the party.

Aaron: "I don't know what I've missed here but you 2 do you. Anyway, I came here to talk about the party and our master plan!"

Violet: "Haha! We were just kissing. Girlfriend stuff."

Aaron: "Mhm."

Violet: "Anyway, I'll leave you both to it. Catch you in a bit guys. I'll be waiting for you at the party."

Clementine: "Cool! Catch you later!"

Violet waves before leaving.

Clementine: "Hey Aaron. What's on your mind?"

Aaron: "Take a look at this baby!"

Aaron shows Clementine the bomb. Clementine looks impressed.

Clementine: "In other words, fuck you raiders! I like it!"

Aaron: "Yup! A dose of this will teach them not to fuck with us!"

Clementine: "Awesome! So uh, how do we use it?"

Aaron: "The trick is the boiler. We plant it in there and when they start the boiler, it will heat up the bomb enough for it to explode. The hard part is timing it so the bomb goes off after you get off the boat."

Clementine: "I know me and AJ are heading on that boat for our friends. Who else is sneaking onboard?"

Aaron: "Minnie, Violet and myself will be joining you. With more numbers, we stand a better chance if we get caught."

Clementine: "Not a bad idea. Might be harder to stay undetected though with more people but I like that you're thinking of the worst case scenario. It makes you smarter than all of us. Smarter than me."

Aaron: "Aw, you're too kind! I don't think I'm smarter than you."

Clementine: "You sure as hell have proven to me that you are. I'm gonna keep trusting you. We all look up to you now. You're our leader. Guide us the right way. To the finish line! Where we'll all make it!"

Aaron: "Don't you worry, I will guide all of us to the finish line! I'll do what I couldn't do a few years ago."

Clementine: "That's the spirit dude! I have perfect faith in you. As I've said before, I consider you as a bff. That goes a long way with me and I've never announced someone as a bff before. Outside of my girlfriend Violet and my boy AJ, you're the only one I've ever been this close to around my age or younger than me."

Aaron: "Alright so aside from the boat plan, how'd things go with that guy James?"

Clementine: "It went good. We managed to convince him. He'll be waiting with his herd tonight at midnight."

Aaron: "That's fucking awesome! If I ever told anyone we're sneaking onto a heavily armed boat through a herd of walkers, they'd of called me crazy."

Clementine: "No kidding. James is a nice guy though. You'll like him."

Aaron: "I bet I will. Only time will tell. So what was going on with Violet then? You seemed very happy about something."

Clementine: "She...she danced with me. It was...awesome. I loved it."

Aaron: "Holy shit. That sounds really cute. I'm happy for you both."

Clementine: "Thanks. It's just crazy how passionate she is. I've never had anyone like her. She's just...everything to me."

Aaron: "Just like Minnie is everything to me."

Clementine: "Indeed. Violet is very quickly getting more confident at making moves on me. Eventually she might ask me to...you know..."

Aaron: "Sex? No shame in saying it."

Clementine: "It's just a crazy topic to think about, you know? Wouldn't it be weird or something since we're both the same gender?"

Aaron: "Fuck anyone who says that shit is weird. Same gender or not, if you and Violet both enjoy it, then that's all that matters. Girls loving girls or boys loving boys. All the same. There's no big deal or difference."

Clementine: "I guess you're right. At least you give me more confidence in myself. I appreciate that. Thanks."

Aaron: "Ha! Anytime. You ever need to talk to anyone about shit like this, I'm your guy. I'm always open to people about weird shit like this. I'm not one to judge preferences."

Clementine: "I know. That's why I'm so open to you right now. You're just so level headed. Like you want to make everyone happy and feel comfortable. The opposite of the old you. You've come very far with your new change to your life. Anyway, I think I'll stop yabbering on. I'm gonna go join Vi and the rest in the piano room for the party. You should join in."

Aaron: "Yeah, I'm coming with you. Don't worry hahaha!"

Clementine, Aaron and AJ all leave to head to the piano room to join the rest for the party.

In the piano room...

The colour of the room is green, country music is playing and there is an inspirational message painted on a banner that says "We're getting them back!". Clementine, AJ and Aaron all walk in. The rest of the school kids are already there.

Minerva: "Aaron! Clem! AJ! Good to have you here! Go ahead and dance for a bit. Talk to the rest if you want. Let's fuckin enjoy this! Me and Ruby will call you both over in a few minutes for a fun game."

Aaron: "Alright."

Clementine: "Cool."

Aaron talks to Tenn for a bit. Clementine spends her time with Violet. AJ follows Clementine.

Aaron: "Hey there buddy. How's it going? With Sophie being gone and all..."

Tenn: "I'm okay. I still have Minnie. If Sophie dies, she'll go to the next best place. Just like all of us when we die. She'll still be here in my eyes. In my drawings. She will always be here."

Aaron: "What's your take on the current situation then? Doesn't it scare you?"

Tenn: "No. Not really. We've dealt with too much scary stuff for it to bother me anymore. It's just like this is the stuff that happens now and we better get used to it, you know?"

Aaron: "Yeah, you're right about that. Anyway, it's my job to do whatever it takes to keep you safe buddy. I'll do anything to keep you alive and well. I owe it to Minnie. She would kill me if I wasn't looking out for you."

Tenn: "Well you 2 are both close so you're just doing what's right for the people you love. It's what makes you a good person, unlike the raiders. If Minnie considers you family, then I guess I do too. You're like a cousin kind of then. A good one. If you ever want me to draw you in a picture Aaron, just let me know. I'll always add you."

Aaron: "I think I'll keep that in mind. Thanks buddy. So what's your take on Clem and AJ then?"

Tenn: "I like them. AJ always tries to help me become tough like him. He's a really good friend. Clem is like our guardian angel. Without her, Marlon would have gotten us taken to god knows where or we'd be dead. She saved us from him. We all forever owe it to her and AJ."

Aaron: "Clem is something special alright. I just didn't have the greatest past with her back in the day. We moved on from that though and now we're essentially best friends. She said it herself."

Tenn: "It's important having people around that you care for and love. It's what makes friendships and love relationships very powerful. Without those, it would be depressing being on your own."

Aaron: "Yeah, being alone is quite depressing."

Tenn: "What happens Aaron if Clementine and Minnie both get put in danger and you can only save one of them? You said yourself that Minnie is your girlfriend and Clem is your best friend. How would you pick between the 2 of them? They're both close to you so what do you do then?"

Aaron: "I really don't know. I always think about that everyday because I know something like that is gonna happen eventually. I guess in the heat of the moment, my mind will make it's choice. Picking between 2 people that are really close to you is not easy Tenn. I already kind of got put in that situation last night during the raid. Me and Clem could only help 2 people and 4 of them needed our help. We saved Minnie and Violet because they where the closest to us. But putting Minnie side by side with Clem is a whole new level of hard Tenn. I wouldn't be able to pick. I would either fuck up and pick bad or I'd hesitate and they'd both end up getting killed."

Tenn: "Whatever happens, you'll do the right thing. I know you will. You just gotta believe. Try to always look at the bright side of things."

Aaron: "Thanks buddy. We need more people like you around. Young, innocent and full of optimism. The personality you have Tenn comes in short supply these days with most people. You're one of a kind. As rare as they come. Don't ever let anything change who you are buddy."

Tenn: "I won't. I promise. Minnie can guide me. You can too in case anything happens to my sisters."

Aaron hugs Tenn. 

Ruby: "Guys! over here! Everyone sit down over here. Let's play a game."

Everyone sits in a circle on the floor with Ruby. They play some games.

Ruby: "So the game is simple. In a circle rotation, we'll all talk about ourselves to the group. If we're going on this crazy mission, we might as well know who we all really are."

Clementine: "I agree."

Ruby: "Alright let's do it then! I'll start us off. So I'm Ruby and back in the day, I was a great student here. The main reason I was bad back then was because I'd always cause a scene with the senior faculty. I'd always go ape shit at them or just drop constant F bombs. Just the craziest of shit."

Violet: "Yeah. Ruby back in the day was brutal. Luckily she's changed now for the better."

Ruby: "Indeed I have."

Clementine: "Sounds like you where a naughty kid."

Ruby: "That's the reason we're all at this school. We all done bad shit. This is a school for bad kids."

Aaron: "Tenn bad? I don't believe a single bit of that."

Ruby: "I don't know Tenn's story too well. He's never open about it. Can't blame him though. Could be something really fucked up for all we know."

Violet: "I suppose I'll tell you about me then. So I'm Violet, I grew up in a trailer with my family. My mom would work like 3 jobs and always be out and busy with my dad being a drunk. My grandma would be the only person in the house with me. She just closed up and stopped caring. She wasn't well. She'd just sit in the Livingroom and mindlessly watch the TV with me while I have the cartoons on. She never cared what was on. Eventually one day, she came in with a .22 rifle. She sat it so it pointed at her face while she sat on her armchair. She had to a backscratcher thingy to pull the trigger in since she couldn't reach it. During all of this, I was still watching cartoons, not caring. A few hours later, my mom got home and she asked me why I never called her, called an ambulance or the police. I just shrugged and said it's not like she's going anywhere. Plus, I just wanted to finish my cartoons. She shipped me off to Ericson's next day. I was 11."

Clementine shows extreme sympathy for Violet and hugs her. 

Clementine: "I'm sorry Violet. I'm sorry you went through that."

Violet: "It's okay. I brought this on myself anyway. We weren't nice people Clem. It didn't mean we deserved to get left behind by the fucking people who where meant to take care of us when the world to shit."

Clementine: "Yeah, that is fucked up that the adults all done that to you all."

Violet: "Just shows how people can really be. Take Marlon for example. The way he was willing to trade us all off for his own safety. The fucked up shit that lies around every turn. It's fucked!"

Minerva: "I think I'll pass on my story. I'd rather not upset you Aaron."

Aaron: "You sure?"

Minerva: "Positive. It's probably for the best."

Aaron: "It's okay. Who you are right now is all that matters to me anyway."

Minerva: "Thanks. You're too kind."

Clementine: "I guess it's my turn then. I'll be speaking for myself and for AJ since he's spent most of his life with me."

Aaron: "Sounds good."

Clementine: "So it started a long time ago. I was 8 when this all started. Almost 9. My parents where out in a city known as Savannah. I got left with my babysitter. She took care of me and when shit went down, she got killed and became one of them. I hid in my treehouse for a while and with a shit load of luck, someone found me. A man. His name was Lee. He got involved in a car accident when he was heading to prison with a cop. He came to my house looking for help and he found me. When my babysitter reanimated and tried to kill him, I came down and helped him kill the walker. From there on out, he took care of me. He was my protector for the next 3 months or so until eventually, he got bit. Because of me. We went to Savannah looking for my parents and I got kidnapped and he got bit when he was out there looking for me. When we finally reunited, I had to put him down. He asked me to shoot him the head, and I did. About 2 years later, I met another group. Broken people. Running away from their past. The woman in the group gave birth to AJ. Sadly the mom didn't make it. She lost too much blood. After a lot of fucked shit, we all ended up in the snow with the boy. One of my people Jane, she hid AJ in a car to prove a point that another person with us is unhinged. His name was Kenny. He's been on my side ever since the start. At this point he had lost a lot. His heart was all broken. It couldn't be put back together. He ended up getting into a fight with Jane and I watched him kill her. After all that happened there, I still decided to stay with Kenny. For AJ's sake. We went to a community known as wellington. We discovered that only myself and AJ would be allowed in. With all of this, Kenny begged me to go in with them while he leaves. I refused because I couldn't let Kenny go. He meant a lot to me. He was like a second dad to me after Lee. I couldn't watch him go. Anyway, we stayed on the road for another while. We even found a working car. Kenny let me drive it one day to see how I'd handle. It was the biggest mistake of his life. I crashed the car and the impact fucked up Kenny real good. He was paralysed and couldn't move. Walkers started flooding the place and I had to get AJ out of there. Kenny did what a real man does and he sacrificed himself for me and AJ. He drew the walkers' attention and let them kill him so I could get away safely with AJ. I miss Kenny still to this day."

Clementine stops and starts crying. She still wants to finish her story. Violet hugs her.

Violet: "You don't have to keep going Clem. You can stop if you want."

Clementine: "I want to finish my story. But I just fucking miss that guy so much. He did so much for me and AJ and he died like that. It's just fucked..."

Violet: "I can imagine it was and I'm so fucking sorry you went through any of that."

Clementine: "Anyway, moving on. About a year or 2 later, me and AJ joined a group known as The New Frontier. We thought it was finally the place where we'd be able to live. I was so wrong about that. They took him off of me and claimed I was too young to take care of him. They kicked me out shortly after. I fought and fought for that boy and I just wasn't strong enough. It didn't help that Aaron was a terrifying psycho back in the day. He was apart of The New Frontier. Him and his people all tried to kill me and my allies. They failed in taking me down but they got all my allies. With just a little stroke of luck, I managed to get info on where they kept AJ. I went straight to that place and what do you know? It was under attack by some other group. The people there confused me and thought I was an enemy. I nearly took a few bullets during that shit but I managed to get AJ out. Had to sadly kill a few innocents just to avoid getting killed myself. One of those fucked up situations. I took AJ and we left in another car. This car took us on a ride for a good few years as well until I eventually came across that old train station looking for food. That's when the place blew up and you lot saved us from the car crash. You know the rest of the story."

Violet: "Wow..."

Minerva: "You've had it harder than any of us. Holy shit. I'm so sorry you've been through all of this."

Clementine: "Thanks. But don't be sorry. It's just shit happens...you know?"

Minerva: "That's a lot of shit to happen though. It's impressive how you're still alive with AJ. It really is. You are a fighter."

Clementine: "I'll do anything to protect that boy. I'll protect him with all of my life."

Aaron: "And to think I nearly killed you in a stupid fit of rage. Just because you shot my brother who was actually an asshole at the time. I was an asshole at the time."

Clementine: "Shit happens dude. You were just protecting your family and I guess so was I. We were 2 people Aaron. On 2 different paths. Wasn't much that could be done in that situation. There was bound to be beef between us for sure. What matters now is we're all here and we're all friends now. You being my best friend of course."

Aaron: "As for me, there isn't much to know about me. I grew up in Scotland. When shit started, my mum and sister got bit immediately and they died. I went on a journey with my step dad and my brother. We took a still working ferry and we crossed the ocean and landed here in Virginia hoping for a better life. Only then we found out that the infection was worldwide. We went on for a few years and eventually we lost our step dad too. That man taught me everything about survival. He was ex military. He went out fighting as you'd expect. There wasn't time for a burial. We just moved on. Me and my brother. Eventually we joined The New Frontier together. When Clem's people got into shit with our leaders, we took the wrong side and it resulted in my brother being shot by Clem during a raid on her people. I took my anger out all wrong and tried to kill Clem. The war finally finished. It resulted in all of Clem's people dying and Clem escaped. She got her boy out and that ended her involvement. Richmond got overrun eventually and I had to move out onto the road with my brother. A few years later, we got split up in a herd and I never saw him again. He could be alive or dead. The Delta saved me and took me in for a bit and eventually I left of course when they started attacking your school. Sophie was the one to get me out of there. I convinced Minnie to leave too since she was close to me during our time there. You know the rest."

Violet: "I think that's a good place to call it. If we hear anymore stories, I might just end up crying myself."

Tenn: "Minnie, remember when you used to sing us don't be afraid when we all got scared? Maybe you could sing us it again. Before we rest for the big night. Louis could of played it on the piano but sadly he isn't here."

Minerva: "Yeah. I...I can do that. Of course. It's been a long time since I last sung a song."

Violet: "We can't wait until you sing again. Your voice is so good."

Minerva: "Only you would remember. Violet! Haha! Anyway, let's do this!"

Minerva sings the song. Her voice is very beautiful and Aaron loves it. After she finishes the song, everyone gets tired and is ready to bunk down to rest for a few hours so they're ready for the big night. Everyone heads to bed. Aaron sleeps in Clementine's dorm again.

Later that night in Clementine's dorm...

They all wake up.

Aaron: "Shit. It's time. You both ready?"

Clementine: "Uh...yeah. Just had a dream, that's all. About Lee."

Aaron: "I couldn't dream at all since I don't even know if my brother is dead or not."

Clementine: "Well wherever he is, I hope he's alright."

Aaron: "Thanks Clem."

AJ: "Come on sleepyheads! It's time to go! We're doing this!"

They all head out with the rest of the kids. They all head into the woods back to the same scouting spot. They all wait there for James to arrive with the herd.

In the forest...

Violet: "So we all have our plans. Ruby you take care of the supply raft. Tenn is burning the hay as our distraction. The rest of us are going in to get our friends. Got it?"

Everyone nods in acknowledgement.  

Violet: "We just gotta wait for Clem's friend now to bring the walkers. Only the team sneaking on the boat has to cover their smell. So this means only Ruby and Tenn don't have to do anything with the walker guts."

Minerva: "Aaron, can I talk to you alone for a second?"

Aaron: "Sure."

They talk alone for a second.

Minerva: "Before we go in there. What happens if another person gets caught? What if it's you? I know we couldn't save Sophie or Louis or Aasim or Omar but I just...I can't lose you too."

Aaron: "I'm not going anywhere. I promise. I got this handled."

Minerva: "But what if you're wrong? You don't know this. You don't know for sure if you'll be alright. None of us do. That's what worries me with these kind of missions and to be honest, I don't think Sophie made it. I think they got her. We both saw her earlier today. She looked like hammered shit."

Aaron: "We won't know until we get on there."

Minerva: "Exactly. It's the thought of it that scares me. The thought that Sophie is just...dead. I'll kill them if it's the last thing I do."

Aaron: "Just don't get yourself killed Minnie. I know you want revenge but don't let it eat you. I care for you and I'd rather not lose you as well."

Minerva: "I know you do. Which is why if I lose the plot and go out of control, you have to be the one to pull me back. There's no telling how angry I'm gonna get when I see Lilly on that boat. You promise you'll try and protect me? I can't even protect myself with this level of anger."

Aaron kisses Minerva in reassurance. 

Minerva: "I take that as a yes. Just...stay safe. Keep me safe from myself. Keep Clementine and her boy safe when we're in there. Keep Violet safe. Let's go get our friends out. Together."

Aaron: "Let's do it!"

They re-join the rest. James has finally arrived with his herd. He walks up to the group.

Aaron: "Holy moly! Is this your friend James?"

James: "Uh...hello."

Aaron: "Your mask is so fucking cool dude! Like goddamn!"

James: "Uh thanks. Anyway, the walkers will be on the beach in a few minutes. You all best get to gutting before they reach the beach. Good luck everyone and stay safe."

James leaves so he can get the walkers onto the beach. Clementine kills a walker and drags it over so they can all start covering themselves in the walker guts.

Clementine: "Here we are. Everyone start covering yourselves."

Everyone covers themselves in the guts. They are ready to go. The walkers have made it to the beach and the raiders have started shooting at them. Clementine and the gang all join the walkers on the beach and the attack now begins! Raiders are heard shouting from the ship.

Guards: "WALKERS! LOTS OF THEM!"

Clementine: "Guys, split up and use the walkers as shields. Meet me on the pier. Good luck!"

Everyone splits up and approaches the pier using walkers as cover. Tenn sets the hay on fire and this scares off the horses.

Guard: "SHIT! The hay is on fire! The horses are running loose!"

Lilly: "SOMEONE GO SEE WHAT'S GOING ON!"

Guard: "On it!"

A guard jumps off of the boat and goes to investigate the fire. Tenn hides out of sight. Ruby sets the supply raft loose and takes off with them.

Guard 2: "Supplies are going overboard!"

Lilly: "SHIT! WE'RE UNDER ATTACK! EVERYONE STAY ON YOUR GUARD AT ALL TIMES! GET RID OF THESE FUCKING WALKERS AND FIND THE ATTACKERS!"

Clementine and the gang finally make it to the pier. The have to sneak around the side to avoid being spotted. They all make it to the front entrance. Walkers begin coming. Their guts washed off since they sneaked through the water earlier.

Clementine: "Fuck! More of them! The 3 of you, hold them off! AJ and I will get us inside in a second."

Clementine and AJ gets the gate open. Everyone runs inside the boat.

Inside on the lower deck...

Clementine: "Got the bomb?"

Aaron: "You bet I fucking do."

Clementine: "Awesome!"

Minerva: "Follow me. The boiler is this way."

They head to the boiler. Aaron opens it up and plants the bomb in there. He closes the boiler door with the bomb now in there.

Aaron: "Well the bomb has been planted. We don't have much time now."

Minerva: "I'll take you to the holding cells then where we can find our friends. It'll probably be guarded too so we need to be ready."

They begin making their way to the holding cells but just before they get far, Sophie is heard screaming on the top deck! Minerva flips out of control!

Minerva: "SOPHIE! I'M COMING SISTER! I'LL FUCKING KILL THEM!"

Aaron: "Minnie! Wait! Come back---GODDAMIT!" 

Minerva has went out of control and has ran off to find Sophie. She's going to end up getting herself killed!

Aaron: "Fuck! She warned me about it too. She was gonna flip out of control from her anger. She's gonna get herself killed!"

Clementine: "Go after her! Me, Violet and AJ can free our friends. Trust me, we'll be alright. We have the numbers still if shit goes bad. Go after Minnie Aaron!"

Aaron: "You sure?"

Clementine: "YES! Go after her. We'll be alright. We can handle ourselves."

Violet: "Clem is right. There's enough of us here that we can hold our own. Go after Minnie. She needs you. More than anything right now. I don't want her getting killed."

Clementine puts her hand on Aaron's shoulder as she talks to him.

Clementine: "Aaron...we both know...you need to go for Minnie. She's your priority. Trust me please and do what I say. Please, trust me. We'll be okay. I promise. I would never lie to you. Can you trust me?"

Aaron has the choice to stay with Clementine, Violet and AJ to help them free the other kids or he can split up from them and chase after Minerva who ran off on her own to find Sophie. Who should he help?

Chapter 9: Goodbye Sister

Aaron has decided he is going to leave Clementine, Violet and AJ to handle helping their friends escape while Aaron heads to the upper deck to find and help Minerva who's potentially in trouble.

Aaron: "Alright. I'm going for Minnie. You 3 need to get our friends out. Be careful. All of you. Good luck."

Aaron hugs Clementine, AJ and Violet.

Clementine: "You too."

Clementine, Violet and AJ all head to the holding cells so they can bust the others out. Aaron rushes up to the top deck to find Minerva. He finds her. Lilly has her captured and sitting next to her sister Sophie. Sophie is completely out of it! She is severely wounded. Minerva can be seen crying in disbelief and she is also shouting at Lilly and giving her death threats. Aaron is taking cover behind a wall to avoid being seen for now. He decides to eavesdrop for now and he will strike when the chance presents itself. 

Minerva: "FUCK YOU LILLY! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO MY SISTER! YOU FUCKING ANIMALS! I was so fucking wrong to trust any of you! It's a good fucking thing Aaron came in and convinced me to leave when he did!"

Lilly: "You mean your little boyfriend who probably doesn't give a fuck about you? If he cared for you Minerva, he wouldn't of sent you up here on your own now would he?"

Minerva: "Shut up! HE DONE MORE FOR ME THAN ANY OF YOU HAVE EVER DONE! He made me feel worth a damn again! He freed me from this curse which is you!"

Lilly: "You know you can still come back Minerva. We never gave Sophie a second chance because she was fighting back. You don't have to fight back. Come on now. Think about this anyway, you're too valuable for me to throw away. You and your friends are the crazy fucks who sneaked onto my boat under the cover of a herd in the first place. If I get a hold of your friends too, especially Clementine, then this cluster fuck of a mission might be worth it."

Minerva: "You know I'll never fucking work for you again! Not this fucking time!"

Lilly: "Then that's a shame for you. I guess we'll just have to kill you."

Minerva: "If I'm going down bitch, you're coming down with me! For Sophie!"

Minerva breaks free from her restraints and manages to get Lilly into a struggle hold. Before the other guards can shoot Minerva, Aaron comes out of cover and takes out Lilly's backup with some very sharp and swift aiming from his trusty handgun. All of Aaron's training in The Delta has made him a very good shot. He has extreme precise aiming that even Lilly is impressed by when she witnesses her soldiers go down.

Minerva: "AARON! GIVE ME A HAND! HELP ME TAKE THIS BITCH DOWN!"

Aaron helps Minerva knock down Lilly and she successfully drops to the ground. Lilly backs up to the wall and sits by it in defeat. Aaron has his gun aimed right at her so she doesn't try anything. Minerva goes to interrogate her.

Lilly: "STOP! I give up! I give up! I'll tell my soldiers to leave! Just don't kill me! Please!"

Minerva: "Oh so now you're begging for mercy? Tough fucking tits bitch! Shoot her Aaron. Fucking shoot her!"

Aaron: "Are you sure this is the time to---"

Minerva: "JUST FUCKING DO IT! For Sophie!"

Aaron: "As you wish."

Lilly: "WAIT! DON'T---"

Aaron shoots Lilly in the head, killing her.

Minerva: "Don't feel anything for her Aaron. She fucking had it coming. Karma is a bitch! Anyway, thanks for helping me out. You saved my ass, again. I feel like I'm gonna owe you my own fucking limbs at this point haha. You keep saving my ungrateful ass."

Aaron: "You're not ungrateful Minnie. You care about the people you love. You just sometimes do crazy shit like almost almost getting yourself killed here. You did warn me after all so that's why I came after you. I wasn't gonna leave you and take the risk."

Minerva: "Well thanks for that. I'm glad you care. Other than Sophie here, you're the only other person who truly cares about me and I won't forget that. Without you around, I'd be dead. More than once. So thank you. For everything."

Aaron: "You're welcome. For everything. We're not done yet though so let's stay focussed."

Minerva: "Yeah, you're right. Poor fucking Sophie though. She's out of it. They done her fucking dirty."

Aaron: "Is she still alive?"

Minerva: "No clue. Doesn't look like it."

Sophie wakes up and starts coughing up more blood. She has multiple stab wounds across her entire body. She is barely breathing but she manages to mutter out a few last words before she eventually succumbs to her wounds.

Minerva: "Oh my god! Sophie! What...what the fuck did they do to you? Answer me please!"

Sophie: "They...beat me up and...stabbed me...several times. I'm not...gonna make it. Just take our brother...and run. Keep...him safe...for me. I'm so sorry Minnie...that I can't go any further. Also...thank you Aaron...for looking after my sister...and my brother. Keep...doing what's right. You both...are great for each other."

Minerva: "Please no. You can't go like this. No!"

Sophie: "I got...no choice Minnie. This is it for me. I...love...you...sister..."

Sophie succumbs to her wounds and dies. Minerva holds her hand and starts crying. Aaron comforts her.

Aaron: "I'm sorry Minnie. I know you loved her. She was also a great friend of mine. Without her, we wouldn't be here. She's the reason I left the Delta and the reason I managed to convince you to leave."

Minerva: "I know. In the end, she was the true MVP. You both are the true MVPs. I just don't know how the fuck I'm gonna explain this to Tenn. He's gonna be heartbroken. Could you...you know. I can't do it. I just can't."

Minerva hands Aaron a knife. He uses the knife to stab Sophie in the head so she doesn't turn. Aaron hands the knife back to Minerva and they both hug. Clementine and AJ both appear behind them.

Clementine: "Holy shit. What happened up here? Oh....fuck...I'm so sorry."

Clementine notices what's going on. She shows her sympathy.

Aaron: "Did the rest get out?"

Clementine: "You bet they did! They're getting off of the boat as we speak. We ran into some trouble but me and Violet took care of it. Seems like all the raiders are down. I don't see or hear anymore. I'm guessing you got Lilly then?"

Aaron: "We sure did. Serves her right anyway for what she done to Minnie's sister."

Clementine: "I can't say I'll miss her. She always was a fucking asshole. Her dad was a racist prick and she defended everything he did back in the day."

Aaron: "Christ oh mighty. Well that explains her fucking ratty attitude then."

Clementine: "Indeed."

The boiler explodes and makes a loud noise.

Clementine: "AW FUCK! That's the bomb! EVERYBODY RUN!"

Everyone panics and starts running but they are too late. The boat starts exploding and everyone is thrown all over the place by the explosion. Aaron gets tossed off of the boat by the explosion and lands in the water and is washed up on the beach. He is temporarily unconscious. He takes a good 10 to 15 minutes to recover. He wakes up to the aftermath of the explosion. Walkers are all over the place!

On the shore...

Aaron: "Oh damn. They're fucking everywhere! Where is everyone?" He says to himself

A walker approaches Aaron and nearly gets him from behind. Louis saves Aaron by taking out the walker with a rock.

Aaron: "Holy shit! Louis! Thanks man. Fucker nearly got me."

Louis: "We gotta look out for each other. What the hell happened on there anyway? Clem told us to run when they freed us."

Aaron: "I was on the top deck with Minnie. They killed Sophie and we took care of them. We couldn't get off in time for the bomb. Clem and AJ got caught in the blast too."

Louis: "They're alright. They're by the beach along with the rest. Come on man, I'll show you to them."

Louis takes Aaron back to the beach to regroup with the rest.

On the beach...

Aasim: "Thank god you guys made it!"

Aaron: "Where's Minnie and Tenn?"

Clementine: "No clue. We lost track of them after the explosion."

Violet: "Wait! Tenn is over there!"

Aaron: "I'll go get him."

Clementine: "Then I'm coming with you. AJ, you're coming too."

AJ: "Alright."

Clementine: "The rest of you, take that horse cart and get the hell out of here. Get back home."

Violet: "But what about you Clem? Shouldn't we wait?"

Clementine: "This isn't up for a debate! Take the fucking cart and get out of here. We'll be fine. It's just not worth the risk staying here."

Violet: "Alright. Jesus. Sorry. We'll go."

Clementine: "Thank you. I'm doing this to protect you all."

Violet: "I know, I get it."

Clementine: "Stay safe."

Clementine kisses Violet.

Violet: "You too."

Clementine, AJ and Aaron all rush through the big herd on the beach to reach Tenn. The horse cart leaves with the rest of the kids while Clementine, AJ, Tenn and Aaron all take an alternate route back home. They all head out from the beach and they come across a cave that they have to dive into in order to avoid the walkers chasing after them. On the way to the cave they find James. 

Clementine: "James!"

James: "What are you guys doing here?"

Aaron: "It's a shit show by the beach and walkers have flooded everywhere after the boat explosion. They're coming right now as we speak."

James: "Damn it. Everyone get in this cave then! It's our only way to get away from them. I'll keep them off of you. Just get in there."

The all go into the cave. James guards the entrance while Clementine and Aaron both work on finding a way out. After looking around for a while, they push a giant log into the river stream so that they can cross to the other side. Before they cross, Aaron crafts a torch with a stick and a cloth he finds in the cave. He uses his knife with a piece of flint he finds so he can light the torch.

Aaron: "Come on guys, we found a way across! The kids should go first so it doesn't break straight away. Me and Clem will hop across last."

James: "Good enough for me. I'm coming. Get ready to move though because the walkers are getting in too! Run!"

Everyone jumps across the stream and the walkers almost manages to get Aaron since he's the last to jump across. They all get across successfully. 

James: "Alright. We're all safe for now. I know the way out of here too. It's down this way. Once I get you lot out to safety, I'm gonna head back to my barn."

Clementine: "Why don't you come with us James? You can stay with us. You can actually have friends for once in your life. Come on James, we'd love to have you stay with us."

James: "Shit, I guess that would be nice. Yeah actually, you know what, I'll come with you. You've always been nice to me and respected me so yeah, I'll come with you."

AJ looks around for his gun and he cannot find it.

AJ: "Where's my gun? I can't find it."

Clementine: "I think you lost it buddy. Shit, I think I lost my knife too during the explosion."

Aaron: "So none of you guys have weapons?"

Clementine: "I guess not."

James: "I should have my blades on me that I carry just in case. Let me check."

James checks his pockets and his blades are missing too.

James: "Looks like my shit is missing too. Must of lost it fighting that herd earlier. Shit."

Aaron checks his pockets. He still has his survival knife. He also still has his 9mm handgun. 

Aaron: "I still have my weapons. Might need to share them with someone in case shit goes down outside this cave. Need to figure out who should get the gun and who should take the knife."

James: "Well it's your shit so it's up to you man."

Clementine: "James is right. It's your stuff so it's your choice. James and myself are good with a knife while AJ and yourself seems to be really good with a gun. 2 or 3 of us 4 are gonna be left unarmed so you should think hard about this one. As for Tenn, we'll have to protect him from any dangers."

There is 1 knife and 1 gun. There is 4 people who can hold a weapon. Only 2 people at max can be armed. Who should take Aaron's knife and who should take Aaron's gun? Keep in mind that you can give both the gun and knife to the same person.

Quick note before we start: There is going to be a series of choices over the next few short chapters that involve using the gun and knife. Clementine has the gun and Aaron has the knife. Down below is a record of how well each character performs with a gun and knife. This should help with some decision making. Keep in mind that just because a character is good with that item, it does not mean it is wise to use that item in a certain situation. How a certain outcomes goes depends on what item is used in what situation as well as what that person's skill level with said item is. Higher skill with that item means there's a higher probability of success when using that item in a certain situation.

Chapter 10: The Final Stand (Part 1)

Aaron has given the gun to Clementine and he has kept the knife for himself.

Aaron: "Here Clem. You take the gun. I'll keep the knife."

Clementine: "Thanks buddy. I promise you I'm a good shot."

Aaron: "I bet you are. That's why I'm trusting you with this."

Clementine: "So what makes you take the knife? Aren't you a bit rusty with a knife?"

Aaron: "I figured since we're the ones always taking the risks, it should be us to have something to defend ourselves with. You know, just in case."

Clementine: "Yeah. I totally get that. That's understandable."

James: "You both done talking yet? Come on, let's go. This way leads us out of the cave. Quickly. Before the walkers follow us."

All of them leave the cave and they head back out onto a forest trail.

The forest trail...

Tenn: "Do you think Minnie is still alive? And what happened to Sophie?"

Aaron: "Minnie is out there somewhere. We lost track of her during the explosion. Sophie on the other hand, she never made it. The raiders killed her and we got revenge."

Tenn: "Oh. So Sophie will go to the next best place then. I just hope Minnie is okay."

Aaron: "We'll find her somehow. I promise."

Tenn: "I believe you."

James: "So guys, where is the way back to your school?"

Tenn: "There should be a bridge up this way. Could cross there as a shortcut."

James: "Well it's something. You mind showing us the way little man?"

Tenn: "Sure. It's just that way if we keep going in that direction."

Aaron: "So what's the plan if we get home?"

Tenn: "I was thinking of drawing a picture of us all living happily at the school. I can draw Clementine and Violet holding hands as well as Aaron and Minnie holding hands. I will be next to Minnie and Aaron."

Aaron: "Sounds like a cool drawing! I can't wait to see it. I'm sure it will be awesome!"

Tenn: "It will be. We can decorate the school too with some cool stuff. We can make it feel like a real home."

James: "This home, it sounds like a fun place. I look forward to giving things a shot with you all."

Clementine: "I'm sure you'll like us. We're nice people James."

James: "I do believe you. You're a nice person yourself so I don't doubt your friends are the same."

Walkers can be heard in the distance.

Clementine: "Shit. Walkers. Lots of them."

Aaron: "Wait a fucking second. Is that screaming I hear?"

Aaron can hear screaming amongst the walkers.

Aaron: "I'm checking out that noise. It could be someone in trouble. Even if it's risky, we have to check."

Clementine: "Alright. I'll be right behind you."

Aaron and Clementine both sneak up to the walkers they can hear the screaming noises coming from. Minerva is trapped in the middle of a large group of walkers!

Minerva: "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!"

Aaron: "MINNIE! We're coming to help!"

Minerva: "Please do! They're fucking everywhere!"

There is a large group of walkers surrounding Minerva. How should Clementine and Aaron deal with this situation?

Chapter 11: The Final Stand (Part 2)

Clementine whips out the gun Aaron gave her earlier and she is going to shoot the walkers to help Minerva. This will create a lot of noise!

Aaron: "Wait! Clem! What about the noise?"

Clementine: "Tell me Aaron. Do you really think it's a good idea to run at a horde with only a fucking knife?! For starters, the gun saves Minnie's ass and secondly, it doesn't involve you getting yourself killed at the same time!"

Aaron: "Fair but the noise is gonna attract more from afar."

Clementine: "I'd rather take the noise risk than risk you getting yourself bit because you thought you were fucking Ezio from Assassin's Creed with godlike blade skills."

Aaron laughs at the joke.

Clementine: "Jokes aside, I'm gonna shoot them now. I need you to go in and pull Minnie out of there when I start taking them out. Got it?"

Aaron: "Understood."

Clementine: "Good man."

Clementine begins firing at the walkers. She takes a few down and the noise is also enough to distract some of the walkers away from Minerva. Aaron during this time, runs up to Minerva and pushes down the odd 1 or 2 walkers that are in the way. He grabs Minerva and pulls her out of the horde. Clementine takes down the few who went after her. Aaron re-joins Clementine with Minerva now along his side.

Minerva: "Jesus. Saving my ass...again. I am gonna run out of things to owe the both of you. You're like my guardian angels."

Clementine: "Always happy to help. We both are."

Minerva: "Well thank you. You got some pretty fucking sharp aiming though. Who taught you to use a gun so well?"

Clementine: "My old carer Lee. He was the best man I knew."

Minerva: "Well whoever he is, his teaching might have saved a life more than once. Including my life."

Tenn: "We still heading to the bridge?"

Clementine: "Yes, that's still the plan. Can we keep moving now? Before these fucking walkers find out we're here. The gunshots will have made a lot of noise."

Aaron: "Clem's right. We shouldn't lurk around for too long. The noise will surely have gotten their attention from afar."

Everyone continues moving out. They eventually reach the bridge.

At the bridge...

Minerva: "Alright, as long as we cross slowly, we should be fine. I'll walk across first. I'll let you know if it's safe."

Minerva slowly crosses the bridge first with the rest following behind her. She reaches the end of the bridge. It's a dead end! 

Minerva: "Dead end up here and I'm pretty sure going back isn't an option. We're gonna have to jump across."

James: "Move aside. Let me have a look at the situation."

James investigates the gap at the end of the bridge and determines if the jump is safe or not.

James: "Alright. It looks jumpable. So who's going first? Keep in mind we can't leave the little ones to go last since 1 of us has to be able to throw them over since their jump distance is gonna be less than ours."

Minerva: "I can jump first if you want."

Aaron: "I think you should cut back. You've nearly died plenty enough times Minnie."

Minerva: "Well...uh thanks. I guess. I guess you're just trying to protect me."

Clementine: "Aaron! Who are we sending across first? We don't have time! The fucking walkers are coming! The noise from the gun drew them this way. Think fast!"

The bridge is a dead end and walkers are coming! Who should jump across the bridge first?

Chapter 12: The Final Stand (Part 3)

Aaron thinks for a second and decides that it's best to let Clementine go first since she has a gun to defend herself. 

Aaron: "Clementine! You go first! You have that gun I lent you. You can defend yourself if shit happens and you can cover us as we send the rest over."

Clementine: "Fine. Can't argue with that logic. Alright, I'm going for it!"

Clementine gets a running start and she leaps across the gap of the bridge to the other side. When she stands up, she gets attacked by 3 walkers on the other side! 

Clementine: "HOLY SHIT!"

She whips out the gun and fires the gun, taking all of them out. She has 2 bullets left. Using the gun might of costed a life down the line since she lacks bullets for another confrontation in the future.

Clementine: "FUCK YOU FUCKFACE! Fuckers nearly got me there. Damn that was close."

Aaron: "Thank god you're okay! Is it safe?"

Clementine: "Should be. Only got 2 bullets left though. Can't afford to have another run in like that. Get across while the rest of them are still behind us."

Aaron: "Okay. Tenn, AJ. You both are going first. Clem will catch you so don't worry. We're gonna have to throw you over though so try not to shit your pants."

AJ: "Don't shit my pants? Got it."

Tenn: "I'll try but this is scary."

Aaron: "I know but it's the only way. You just gotta be brave little man."

Tenn: "Okay. I'll be brave. I'll be brave."

Aaron: "Alright. Here we go! Tenn. You first! I'll give you a boost."

Aaron gives Tenn a boost and he tosses Tenn across the gap and Clementine catches him and pulls him up. 

Clementine: "I got him! Send over AJ!"

Aaron: "Got it!"

Aaron gives AJ a boost and he tosses AJ across the gap and Clementine catches him and pulls him up.

Clementine: "I got you AJ! Alright, your guys' turn. Get over here!"

James jumps across first. Minerva then jumps after him followed by Aaron who jumps last. Everybody makes it across safely.

Tenn: "It's this way. Over this fence."

They all make their way to the fence to climb over it but more walkers arrive and they surround everyone! They only have time to send over 3 people.

Aaron: "FUCK! DOES THIS SHIT EVER END?! We shouldn't of fired that fucking gun. The noise has them all over the fucking place! Shit!"

Clementine: "Yeah, we probably shouldn't have. You could of jumped first, you had a knife to take them out quietly. Fuck. This is a bad position to be in."

Minerva helps Tenn over the fence and James along with Minerva both climb the fence themselves. Clementine, AJ and Aaron all don't have enough time to climb as well.

Clementine: "FUCK! We can't climb over. There's too many. Get the hell out of here you 3! Get back to the school, we'll find another way! Go! NOW!"

James: "Just stay safe! I'll try coming back to find you later. Good luck!"

Clementine: "Thanks. Now get out of here!"

James, Minerva and Tenn all leave to return to the school. Clementine, AJ and Aaron are all forced to take an alternate route back to the school.

Clementine: "Aaron! This way! There's a small cliff we can climb that should get us back. We gotta move fast though or we ain't making it!"

Aaron: "Alright!"

They run to the bottom of the cliff. Walkers have the 3 of them surrounded. They have to quickly decide what order to send people to climb up the cliff in.

WARNING! A Major Character Death lies ahead. Read with caution if you plan on saving the water in your eyes. You have been warned.

Chapter 13: Permanent Grief and Heartbreak (Epilogue)

At the bottom of the cliff...

Aaron: "AJ! You first! I'll be right behind you!"

Clementine: "You both better climb fast or I ain't gonna get up in time! MOVE IT!"

AJ climbs up the cliff and gets up successfully. Aaron climbs up after him and he slips on a rock and falls down. He has to climb again. The walkers are now right behind Clementine.

Clementine: "AARON! HURRY UP! DAMN IT!"

Aaron: "I'm GOING AS FAST AS I CAN CLEM!"

Clementine: "THEN GO FASTER!"

Clementine uses her last 2 bullets to defend herself from 2 walkers who tried to grab her. She now has no defence. Aaron finally makes it up the cliff. Clementine now climbs with the walkers right behind her. Before she can grab Aaron's hand, she slips and falls down into the walkers. She has no defence against them and no one to cover her since they don't have a suitable weapon up at the top. Clementine gets pulled down by the walkers and she gets killed. She could be heard screaming before she was killed. This sets off AJ!

AJ: "CLEMENTINE!!!!!!! NOOOOO!"

Aaron: "Fuck! Fucking FUCK! GODAMMIT! This is all my fucking fault! She should of went up first! She could of covered us. Me and my fucking decisions! FUCK!"

AJ: "We have to get her! I can't leave her down there!"

Aaron: "AJ! That's fucking stupid! She's dead! It's not worth it dude!"

AJ: "THIS IS CLEM! I'M NOT LEAVING HER!"

AJ jumps down and distracts the walkers away from Clementine.

Aaron: "AJ you crazy fucking bastard. This is gonna get us killed. Just to get Clem's fucking body. Fuck it, I'm doing it." He says to himself

Aaron jumps down and grabs Clementine and climbs back up while carrying her. This takes some time but he makes it. AJ now runs back and quickly makes his way back up the cliff with Aaron's help. Aaron puts Clementine down and AJ grieves over her for a few minutes. 

AJ: "I'm so sorry Clem! I'm so sorry! This shouldn't have happened! Fuck..." He says while crying

Aaron: "I'm sorry too Clem. I should of been the one to go last. It was selfish of me to go before you. I hope wherever you are now, you find peace. Shit...telling Violet about you being gone is gonna be hard."

AJ: "We should carry her back and bury her. I'm not leaving her out here."

Aaron: "Well I gotta quickly put a knife in her head before she turns. She has fucking bites all over her. Actually, you should do it. She's your caretaker after all."

AJ: "You sure? She was still your best friend Aaron."

Aaron: "I'm sure. It feels right to let you handle it. She's known you for a long time. Longer than any of us. She raised you after all."

AJ: "Okay. I'll do it." He says while still sobbing

Aaron gives AJ his knife. AJ after crying for a few seconds and shaking, eventually puts the knife to Clementine's head, finally stopping her from reanimating as a walker. She is officially gone for good now. Aaron puts his hand on AJ's shoulder to comfort him and AJ turns around and hugs him while still in tears. Aaron shows AJ all of his sympathy.

AJ: "I guess it's just me and you then."

Aaron: "Seems that way. Don't worry buddy, I'll take good care of you. Me and Clem...we didn't have the greatest history but she trusted me now and I'll keep doing well for her now that she's gone. I promise that I'll take good care of you. It's my promise to you and to her."

AJ: "I believe you. So what do we do now?"

Aaron: "You said it yourself buddy, we can't leave Clem out here. We're heading back to the school with Clem's body. This will also make sure that the others believe us when we say to them that she's dead. I'd imagine Violet would be in denial if we told her without proof. I'll carry her, you just protect us with that knife I gave you."

AJ: "Okay. Let's go home."

Both of them head back to the school. Aaron carries Clementine's body on his back while heading back. After about an hour or so of walking, they make it back at around sunrise. They approach the gates and James greets them while also shocked by the dead Clementine that Aaron is carrying.

James: "Oh shit! What the fuck happened out there? How did this happen to her?"

Aaron: "She fell down a cliff we were trying to climb up and the walkers got her. She's gone man. We couldn't leave her though. We already put a knife in her head so she doesn't come back."

James: "Fuck me. That must of been hard on the kid. She was his mom or something wasn't she?"

Aaron: "His caretaker, yeah. He was traumatised pretty hard about it. He's the one who made me carry her body back here."

AJ: "I loved her very much and now she's gone. Forever."

James: "I'm sorry little man. I really am."

AJ: "There's nothing to be sorry about. It wasn't your fault."

Aaron: "Help me carry her in James. I'm fucking exhausted. Like goddamn."

James: "I got you man."

James helps Aaron carry Clementine's body into the school to show the rest. AJ follows them.

Inside the school yard...

Aaron and James both move to the centre of the yard while carrying Clementine and they put her body down on top of a sofa. Everyone else walks over and witnesses this. Violet runs over insanely quick in huge disbelief. 

Violet: "No! No fucking way! What...what THE FUCK HAPPENED?!" 

Aaron: "She fell during a rough climb and the walkers got her. We couldn't save her Violet. I'm sorry. We at least brought her body back for you."

Violet: "God fucking damn it. This can't be happening..."

Aaron: "I'll leave you alone for a bit. We will have to bury her soon so do what you have to do." He says while his hand is on Violet's shoulder

Aaron leaves Violet alone with dead Clementine. He finds AJ, and him along with AJ both head into the dorms to chat alone with Minerva.

Inside Clementine's dorm...

Minerva: "So now that Clem is dead, I'm guessing you're in charge of AJ now."

Aaron: "Well technically Violet would be since she was Clementine's girlfriend. So she owns AJ just as much as I do. I will not take that away from her."

AJ: "I'm gonna rest for a bit. I'm tired."

Aaron: "Okay buddy. Rest easy. I'll send Violet up in a bit since she'll want to talk to you. Again AJ, I am so sorry for what happened."

AJ: "It's okay. Don't blame yourself for this. It was a shit situation. There wasn't much we could do. I'm pretty sure whoever went last was not making it. Just be glad it wasn't me or you."

Aaron: "I would rather it of been me instead of her."

AJ: "Well you're a good person and I'm glad I have you and Violet still."

Aaron: "I'm glad to have you too buddy."

Aaron hugs AJ before AJ goes to lie down and rest. Aaron now talks to Minerva while AJ is asleep.

Minerva: "If you don't mind me asking, what actually happened out there when we got split up?"

Aaron: "Clem died because of me. I take full responsibility for it. We got in a situation where we had to climb up a cliff and with no time to decide, I sent AJ up there first and then I went 2nd. During my climb, I fell and this wasted a lot of time, giving the walkers a chance to catch up. When I finally made it up, the walkers got right behind Clementine and she wasted her last 2 bullets on them. She fell while climbing and since we had nothing to help her with, she got eaten and then AJ just rushed back down there like a madman and distracted the walkers away while I grabbed her and carried her up with me. She was already dead at this point but it was to recover her body. AJ didn't want to leave her behind."

Minerva: "I don't blame him. She was the closest person to him. She was basically a parent to him. So you're now saying that you're gonna live knowing that you're responsible for Clem's death? It wasn't entirely your fault."

Aaron: "YES IT WAS MINNIE! I SHOULD OF WENT LAST! NOT HER! You don't fucking understand how bad I fucking feel right now! AJ has no mother now and Violet has lost her girlfriend! All of this because I was selfish and prioritised myself over Clem!"

Minerva: "Alright. Just calm down and---"

Aaron: "HOW THE FUCK DO YOU CALM DOWN AFTER A DAY LIKE THIS!?"

Aaron loses his mind and just drops down onto his ass next to the bed with his hands on his head. Minerva sits down with him and comforts him while he is feeling like this. A few hours later, Violet comes in. Aaron now has a severe problem with his mental health!

Violet: "It's time guys. It's time for the funeral. I know it's a bad time for this but we need to get it out of the way. It's gonna be hard on all of us, especially me and AJ. Also Aaron, are you alright? You look like shit right now."

Minerva: "He's not feeling good Vi. Clem's death has really affected his mental health. I think he's losing it. That's what worries me."

Violet: "Fuck. I just hope he recovers. Last thing we need is more people dying, if you get my meaning."

Minerva: "I hear you."

Violet and Minerva are both worried about Aaron's mental health and they think if he isn't helped, he might take his own life. AJ wakes up.

Violet: "You guys coming?"

Aaron: "We're coming. AJ come on buddy."

AJ: "Alright."

Everyone heads downstairs and outside to the graveyard to attend Clementine's funeral with the rest. 

Outside by the school graveyard...

Clementine is already buried and Tenn drew a picture of her with AJ and Violet next to her in the picture. They all look happy in the picture. This makes Violet cry.

Tenn: "Anything anyone wants to say?"

AJ walks up and pays his respects and says something.

AJ: "Clem, I'll never forget you or the rules. I will always remember to never go alone. Also tell Lee and your other friends up there that I said hi."

AJ steps back. Violet now walks forward with a set of flowers that she sets down on Clementine's grave.

Violet: "I'll miss you Clem! I'll always remember the nice things you done for me and the rest of us. Your bravery and kindness will never be forgotten. I love you. Rest easy Clem. I know you'll be watching us from up there." She says while crying

Violet steps back. Aaron walks forward slowly. He looks like he's ready to pass out.

Aaron: "Clem...I...I...I'm so sorry. This wasn't meant to happen to you. I feel like a fucking dick for letting this happen. It should of been me to be buried and mourned, not you. I---"

Aaron stresses out so much that he finally can't take it anymore! He has a heart attack and passes out in front of the grave! This panics everyone!

Violet: "Oh shit! That's not good! AARON! FUCK! Someone give me a hand!"

Violet and James both check to see what's wrong with Aaron and they discover that he's stopped breathing. Minerva just watches in shock.

James: "He's stopped breathing. I think he's had a heart attack."

Minerva: "Fuck! I knew something like this was gonna happen! Poor guy couldn't cope with it. He did blame himself for Clem's death. If this day couldn't get worse..."

James: "You guys got any meds or some shit? We can revive him but we need to move fast or he ain't gonna survive!"

Ruby: "Upstairs. I'll show you the way."

James: "Alright. Help me carry him Violet. We gotta fucking hurry or he's not gonna make it."

James and Violet both carry Aaron upstairs into the building. Ruby follows them. They all spend the rest of their day trying to revive Aaron with CPR and with meds. Everyone else has dinner and spends the rest of the day together in the yard. Aaron doesn't make it. The heart attack killed him.
