Blood.
The thing that she had longed for for so long now betrayed her.
It was her blood.
It dripped from her mouth with a tinge of metal that she only remembered from childhood. There was no rosemary, cinnamon or shiso. None of the intricate mixtures of herbs and spices that usually adorned it could be found. It was empty…
What felt like million eyes stared at her with an unfamiliar gaze as she freezed in her tracks. Within the disorienting mixture of faces she could make out only two. It was them. Uraraka and Midoriya. Of course it was them.
Specks of blood soaked into her jumper and into the ground as she stayed standing. Fear filled her veins as she started to look down towards her hands, cupped in a shy attempt to hide what was now bare for the world to see. A mix of carnation and magnolia petals stuck to her hands as the blood started to stain her skin.
This had to be one of their quirks but it was one that had never appeared before. Well then it had to be a new student but no, all of the original 20 members of class 1-A were staring at her. Their faces showed all sorts of emotions that went from common to ones that Toga had only ever seen on the faces of her very closest friends. From fear to something that looked more like sympathy than pity.
