Chapter Text
White.
White was all there was to see.
"Where am I?"
A lone figure stirred up, rubbing her eyes as she blinked. She looked up at the sky as the dark greenish void stared back at her. Clueless, she pushed herself up, slowly pacing herself into familiarization of her serene surrounding. She stared down at the dark sea as the water calmly reached for her toes. The sand under her feet were sticking at her sole, creating tracks as she goes.
Where is she, really?
A buzzy feeling... like a ringing in her ear. She winced.
Honk!
At the sound, a patterned light appeared, passing through the huge hill in front of her, it was as if translucent. The patterned light faded a few seconds after as she blinked.
Honk! She did it again. And it appeared again.
Intrigued, like a moth to a flame, she followed the strange alluring light, transcending over the stoned staircase and into the carved hole that pierced through the mountain.
The end of the hole was bright--blinding, in fact-- that she had to shield her face and squint her eyes to get a better view. But what she didn't realize was an unexpected short fall that loomed right in front of her. Of course, she somehow lost her footing and fell down.
Splash!
Her eyes were wide. Water. It's water. Still, her mind lingered on the patterned light that mysteriously appeared whenever she does that 'thing', she doesn't know what to call it exactly, but whatever it was, it's making her draw near.
She looked up. The bright light of the cave blinded her as she kept moving forward, until, her view cleared. The sight was something she had never seen before. Breathtaking and free. It's what it felt like.
At that moment, the wind urged to spread her arms to relish the freedom as if it was something she lacked for a long time. A weird feeling it was but the sense of accomplishment overwhelmed her more than anything that she didn't question any further.
She tiptoed to try reach the clear blue skies, merry laughter bubbling from her chest like a newborn child witnessing the vast beautiful world. Behold, a wide space of red sandy hills enthralled the little one. It stretched far beyond to the large structure on the clouds, shielding the light, creating an ethereal shadow that enveloped the temple. From the cliff, an eye-catching glow of gold and yellow caught her eyes. Without second thoughts, she jumped down and slid across, feet burrowed in the sand.
"What is it?" she asked, particularly to herself.
Her fingers inched near to the figure of light, until...she touched it, but her hands went through.
"Eh, what?" she stared at her hands then back to the light, and to her hands again. Then she tried it again, this time, swiping her hands rapidly across it until she was flailing her arms.
She was moving too much that it made her stumble. The light vanished! It left golden flecks on once where it stood as it dissipated into a small orb of light. It swirled up in the air and circled around her, her eyes following the tiny wisp until it hit her.
"Oof!" she yelped as she felt an impact on her back that made her kneel down. "What was that for?!" She groaned and rubbed her back, picking herself up on the ground.
But she can't help but feel something wanting to burst out of her. Her feet was swept off the ground as she was lifted in the air without warning. Light engulfed her as something on her back burst. She hit her bum on the ground as soon as it was over, earning another hiss from the girl as she rubbed the sore spot.
But there was something amiss. She felt a velvety cloth that wasn't there before, she craned her neck back to peek at what just happened. A cape!
"What is this for?" she held both ends as she lifted it up, inspecting. "It doesn't seem to have anything-- woah!" The ground was no longer under her feet.
She was in the air!
