You were screaming. Your throat was painfully dry yet you still kept screaming. Terried because you couldn't get to her. This was your fault. Your bones felt like they were breaking in multiple places. She fell.
Your shrill cry scared a few birds in the distance. No matter how much you tried, you couldn't get to her. Her blood was pouring out of her like a waterfall. It was so unnatural but it all felt so real.
Farah made no movements. Her breathing seemed to stop. Your blood ran cold.

Farah awoke that night to your kicking and whimpers. This happened sometimes. She didn't mind, she understood what you had been through. The trauma of it kept eating at you like a wild animal whose hunger was never filled. The mind fairy gently shook you.
You didn't wake. She frowned and turned on a light before shaking you a little harder. More desperate. She became worried and called your name. Still you didn't wake. The older woman ran her fingers through her hair and huffed. "(y/n)! wake up!" she said loud enough to echo in the room. You bolted up right with clear tears in your glassy (e/c) eyes.
Unable to stop yourself you wrapped your arms around Farah, nearly knocking her over in the process. She sat there for a moment, frozen in time before she too wrapped her arms around your middle. "Please don't leave me!" you cried into her neck. Farah stared at you before squeezing you a little tighter.
She smiled and whispered in your hair. "I'm never going to leave you. Never. I promise." you relaxed and losened your grip on her. However, she held tight. You both relaxed comfortable in eachothers embrace. "Would you like to talk about it?" she asked, gently lifting up your head to look at her. Warm. Loving eyes met your own. Did you? You felt your heart drop.
You gulped. You needed to tell someone. Looking away, you lay you head against her. "It was terrible. I hated it. You were bleeding out and I couldn't get to you! I was so worried, It was so re-" she cut you of with a delicate kiss. You could feel more hot tears escaping your eyes.
"It was just a nightmare." Farah said against your lips. She began muttering words of comfort into your hair. Both of you lay down, wrapped in eachothers arms.
You could hear her heart beat. It was steady. Calm. She traced patterns on your back. "Farah?" you whispered, just loud enough for her to hear. The older woman looked at you, patiently waiting. "I love you..." you then allowed sleep to take you once more. Hoping that no nightmares would follow tonight.
Farah smiled lovingly and gently stroked your (h/c) hair before lightly kissing your forehead. "I love you too." she whispered before closing her eyes aswell.
