Chapter Text
Sisu, Raya, and Namaari are in the garden of Heart’s palace where they can see the setting sun. The cooling but humid air blows into their faces and rustles the trees’ leaves, playing nature’s never getting old kinds of music.
They’re watching the sunset together meanwhile feasting on their dinner. Raya sits between the water dragon and the Princess of Fang. The comfortable silence is disturbed by Sisu’s chewing now and then, but they are never bothered by it.
“What a lovely evening,” Sisu sighs after finishing her bowl and putting it down next to her. Her tail swings back and forth lightly to express her contentment. “You know what would be even better? Watching the sunrise together.”
“We do that sometimes,” Raya informs the dragon happily with an uncontrolled smile, stirring her uncompleted dish. Next to her, Namaari shoots a questioning look at her and then at the dragon.
“We?” Sisu notices Namaari’s confused look, signaling she doesn’t know either.
“Yeah! Well, technically I drag Namaari out of bed myself to see it, then tuck her back until her coffee is ready.” Raya smiles, her features reflect the setting sun’s brightness, her hair flows in the air like the dragons run on raindrops.
“You do…?” Namaari swallows her food. “What?” She blushes when the dragon starts to laugh at her amused look.
“Really? And tell me, Raya, how do you do that?” The laugh turns into low giggles but the toothy grin remains.
“Oh, that’s quite easy!” The Princess of Heart puts down her bowl to show how she does that almost every morning.
While she gestures the procedure, Sisu leans down to Namaari who hides behind her dinner, concentrating on it instead of Raya. “Didn’t know she can carry you out,” Sisu whispers to Namaari, while her gaze remains on Raya and watches her act.
“She can’t,” Namaari admits after a while, whispering as well.
“Then how--”
“I fake my sleep most of the time so I can assist her.”
“Makes sense.” Sisu nods. A moment of paying attention. “Wait a second. You were confused a minute ago and now you state you help her.”
“That was rather questioning than confused. Now I know, you don’t.”
“Is it because you don’t trust her or--”
“Oh goodness, no! It’s just…” Namaari doesn’t say anything, just sighing and gesturing to her friend. Sisu can see her shyness and returns her gaze to Raya.
The Princess of Heart acts like she carries Namaari back to their room in Fang, then tossing her onto the bed and she really tucks her in back. The final act of hers is giving the pretend Namaari a kiss on the cheek then she pulls the invisible sheet over her head. “--and that’s why I love to bring her coffee afterward,” Raya says lovingly.
Sisu’s widened eyes dart between the two of them. “What?! You two--?”
“Not yet, but we are making it official on our speed.” Raya tries to calm down the excited dragon.
“But on your terms, you two are together, right?” When Sisu gets a pursed-lip and a slow nod from Raya, she squeaks and hugs her tight. “I knew you two are made for each other.” She ushers Namaari into the hug as well.
In the hug, Raya and Namaari exchange a warm smile before they lean on the dragon, locking this genuine moment in their heart. The sun has already settled, the stars paint the night sky alongside the full moon.
