Chapter Text
It´s such a beautiful day. Years have passed since the Number wars and Don Thousand defeat. Astral comes and goes as he pleases. He, alongside his other Barian Emperors, return to Earth as humans, but with time, their powers have return slowly. Nothing compares to before, but, if he is honest, it's refreshing to know he has something to keep his little family safe.
And speaking of his family, his sweet baby daughter was on his shoulders, laughing and enjoying her father's tall bady. His son and wife were in front of them, Shun running as fast as he could, trying to scape his mother, while Kotori follows him at a slower pace, pretending to be slower than Shun. Both of them laughing and screaming. Jumping in between the flowers and tall grass.
"Mama!" called Ruri, her little hands signaling both adults she wants her mama to hold her.
Of course, they can never have fun without Ruri, and it seems that being on her Papa´s shoulder is not funny anymore.
Kotori, at her daughter´s call, stops chasing Shun and walks towards the Father-daughter duo, taking her daughter in her arms, kissing her face, and making her giggle. Shun, ran towards them, throwing his small body towards Royugas legs, hugging them with all the might 4 years old could have. His small body vibrating with joy and excitement. "Tou-san! Up!" he demanded. Of course, it was his turn to be as tall as his daddy.
For five more minutes, both adults, holding hands kept walking until they saw a small hill, a perfect place to have a perfect picnic. Putting both kids back, and ordering Shun to keep an eye on his little sister, Kotori and Ryouga start to place the blanket and take the food out of the basket.
"Alright you two, it´s time for eating," said Kotori, picking her daughter and guiding Shun towards the food and drinks they have waiting.
"Mama, you put pepper! I don´t like pepper!" whine Shun, his golden eyes glaring at the sandwich that was between his hands. Ryouga looked away when Kotori, playfully glared at him. Of course, their kids hate for onions and pepper is his fault!.
"That is not for you baby, this is yours," explained Kotori, exchanging his sandwich with hers, then changing hers with her husband once. Now it was Ryouga's time to glare at her playfully. How dare she give him such atrocity,
Playful bickering, a somewhat +18-ish kiss, and love words exchange later, Everyone was ready to go back home. The sky was turning darker. "It´s time to leave! Shun, bring Ruri, and let´s go!" order Ryouga, while helping his wife with the basket.
"Papa, up! Up!" demanded Ruri. Shun just hugs Kotori, smiling at her in that innocent and beautiful way that makes her love him even more.
This was, definitely, the perfect day. All of his fears, his fights, his scars...everything was worth it.
