Too late to stay

Late. Too late.

No, not the day; for it was quite early in the morning- 6:47am to be exact.

It was early for world but- not for him, no.

He sat on couch. The corner of his eye saw the glimpses of her. She was packing her bags in their bedroom- was theirs.

His head felt like to burst.

This was too much.

Too much happening and too little time to think. But, hadn’t he always been thinking only. It didn’t do any good then what it’ll do now.

Now that she was leaving.

He ran his hand over chest. The pressure was drowning him.

This can’t happen.

He can’t let this happen.

This will destroy him, yes, he was still thinking about himself. It was selfish.

‘You’d always thought about yourself Anthony. Not everything is about you.’

Her picture flashed on his mind.

She’d been crying, almost begging.

How she’d begged him to leave him. Leave her for the sake of that so called love that he had for her.

She’d told him that too. Because she’d never felt that he loved her.

Was he that stupid, that fool!

Why hadn’t he seen when she was breaking every single day-Because she thought he didn’t love him while she did?

So wrong. This was all so wrong.

But what he should be doing now?

Letting her go..?

Because she’d told him that she was broken and want to…end things….between them.

He knew that she wasn’t lying.

Her eyes spoke in all but honesty.

Tired, suffocated, pained…..broken.

But he can’t just let  her go like that. He loved her too much to do it.

‘For the sake of that so called love that you say you do, I beg you. Let me go.’

He leaned back his head.

He’d told her those three words which he could’ve spoken years ago.

If he was daring enough.

‘What you want me to do of these…words.’ She asked him with that hollow laugh that had been haunting him from last night.

Did he really break her?

He’d called her porcelain doll many times. He didn’t know she would break like a real one.

And he would be the one to do it.

‘I beg you.’ Her whisper was echoing his ears.

He screamed and stood up.

He pointed his finger to her.

“You can’t go.”

Loki stilled while packing her clothes and he swore he saw her shiver.

Was she sacred of him?

She slowly put the left clothes in the bag and zipped it.

“Your play thing has broken down.” She chuckled and put the bags on the floor and pulled the handler. “You can always buy a new one.”

“You’re not a play thing Loki and you’re not broken.”

Loki walked to him carrying her luggage. “Maybe not. Maybe yes.”

“No no no it-it’s not!” He kept chanting but she didn’t stop until she reached the door of their Italy house.

She looked at him for a moment and then thought she would speak.

She left.
