Hermione Granger promised Bruce Banner and Harry Potter she'd help brew over the weekend. “Hey, guys! I’ve brought drinks, snacks and what the hell happened to this place?”
Hermione’s eyes widened with worry as she scanned the sticky greenish goo that’s all over the living room. “Bloody hell, I leave the two of you to brew the ingredients and you pull a Neville!” she shouted in the empty room not hearing Bruce or Harry.
Concerned she cautiously laid her bags on the non sticky table and went on the hunt. Hermione was sure she smelt freshly new parchment. But I was very careful! I remember Severus’ teachings and oh damn, she looked down and spied the greenish gook on her fingers.
Hermione heard muffling in the next room, “Of course! The potions lab!” Why did Harry want to teach Bruce potions? He’s fine like he is.
She carefully opened up the door to see Harry on top of Bruce snogging. “Harry! Bruce!”
They heard Hermione’s voice carry as they stopped snogging. “Hi, Hermione! Sorry we started without you, but you see what’s left of the potion.” Bruce waved towards the spilt cauldron with the greenish goo.
“Is it supposed to be green?” Hermione questioned as she tried to keep her temper. If only Severus was here! She felt a hand on her shoulders and hesitantly she turned around. “Lucius!”
“Sorry, love! I was a bit concerned. It has been over an hour.” He pointed to his timepiece.
“Well, they pulled a Neville!” She exclaimed to her husband waving her hand towards Bruce and Harry snogging again.
“Uhm, dear, wasn’t Bruce more hulkier than he is now?” Lucius asked worriedly as he noticed Bruce had downsized back to normal.
“What was in that potion?” Hermione bent down to scrap some of the remaining potion into the vial so she could study it.
“Should we be worried about them, love? Or call in Severus?” Lucius scratched his chin thoughtfully.
“Severus is on vacation! Oh he’ll have a field day with this and…” she stumbled upon Harry’s notation which the title said: Mishap Amortentia.
“Hmmm, Mishap Amortentia can cause the person to be normal for a day and then revert back to their regular size.”
Lucius read the parchment as well and his brows furrow. “Ok, this a new Amortentia potion. Severus should be home in a couple of days if this doesn’t wear off tomorrow.”
Hermione grinned slyly, “Let’s be thankful that Fred and George didn’t get their hands on it! Think of the mischief they would cause,” she giggled and tried to kiss her husband on the cheek.
“Hermione, dear, please don’t tell me you touched the damn potion?” Lucius crossed his arms and stared firmly into Hermione’s eyes.
She bit her lip and looked away shyly, “I might have! Just a teeny bit. Like on my fingers and…” her voice trailed off when Lucius kissed her sweetly.
“Let’s leave those two alone and try to come up with an antidote for them, ok?”
“Ok, Lucius! Lead the way!” Hermione exclaimed as she smiled when Lucius held her hand.
“Well, now that they’re gone where were we?” Bruce murmured as he gently touched Harry’s cheek. They both heard their stomachs grumbling.
“I wonder if Hermione left us some food?” Harry wobbly stood up as Bruce helped him. They slowly made their way to the kitchen and found out she did.
“What the hell happened in our living room?” Bruce scratched his hair as he had a strange looked on his face trying to recall what happened.
“The effects of Mishap Amortentia potion left us a bit hazy Bruce. But you look handsome!” Harry exclaimed to Bruce as he chowed down on a chili dog and wine. He didn’t realize how hungry he was. “Plus it makes us extremely hungry which is the last phase of the potion.”
Bruce stared at his image in the mirror. “I’m not as big as I was. This is awesome!” I’m still like the Hulk and Bruce at the same time.”
“Hot dog, love?” Harry waved the delicious bun at Bruce who was still scrutinizing himself in the mirror.
“You know this could work!” Bruce exclaimed gesturing at himself when he turned around and saw the plate of food Harry was offering him. “Right, I need fuel.”
They both tucked in, and after they ate, took a nice hot long shower together and decided to sleep on it until Hermione found an answer for them.
--
“Lucius, stop! This is a delicate situation!” Hermione exclaimed ticklishly as she tried to study what’s left of the Mishap Amortentia potion underneath the microscope. “Don’t you want Harry and Bruce better, dear and us too apparently?” she felt Lucius’ lips on her neck leaving little bits as he held her in his arms.
“I do, dear! It's this damned potion! We only touched a bit of it and looked at us!” Lucius declared as Hermione turned around in his arms and snogged him.
“You have to get back to work, love! Think of Bruce and Harry!” Lucius panted as he tried to break free from Hermione’s grasp.
“Love, you could do some more research on this potion! If you are bored?” Hermione hinted as she tried to jot down her findings.
Lucius sighed as he decided to take a long cold shower to try to wash the remnants of the potion away. Once he felt refreshed, new clothes and stretched to prepare himself mentally as he tried to get his mind off of the Mishap Potion.
He found his spectacles on his desk and pulled out several books for starters and sat down. After pouring over different books he decided that his research was null and void, yawned. “I’m sure Hermione will find something! I hope!” he decided to curl up on the sofa and sleep it off.
--
Hermione was sure she had found the antidote! This is the opposite of the greenish goo. Which is a dusty shade of rouge. Now all I need to do is apply this to Bruce and Harry’s arms and see if it works.
She went to find Lucius who was napping on the couch. “Poor thing, he’s exhausted!” Hermione softly kissed his cheek when she spied the splayed books on the desk and notes.
She left a note for him and activated the Floo Network.
Once back at Harry and Bruce’s place, she found the living room had been tidied up, the meal she brought over eaten and curiosity got the better of her as she found the two curled up asleep in bed.
Hermione smiled serenely, “Sorry about this guys, I tried my best and hope I didn’t pull a Neville.” She gently brushed the potion on Harry’s right arm and Bruce’s left arm. Hermione gently kissed Harry and then Bruce’s cheek and left.
Harry felt the bed was heavier than usual and frowned in his sleep. “Bruce?” He yawned. “Are you ok?” He scratched his right arm and turned around to check up on Bruce.
He became fully awake when he noticed that Bruce was back to being Bruce Hulk. “Bruce, hey big guy wake up!” Harry gently roused his mate when he saw Bruce’s eyes fluttered.
“Harry,” Bruce yawned, “I had the weirdest craziest dream that we brewed the Mishap Amortentia. I became normal sized and why are you looking at me like you swallowed a hippogriff?”
“Uhm, it's because we did brew that particular potion. And had a Neville accident proportion that made us...hmm...snog like crazy. I remember bits and pieces of it because the potion spewed out down the hall and into the living room.”
“Ah, now I remember, a little,” Bruce frowned and heard his stomach rumbling. “But first, breakfast and check on Hermione and Lucius?”
“Yes, I seem to recall them being here. Did you jot down the findings so we can give our full report to Severus when he comes back from the Potions Conference in Paris?”
“Of course I did! They’re back in the lab in my journal. But you don’t actually want to recreate this potion do you Harry?”
Harry smirked, “Maybe, for later, like our anniversary. If we can get the ingredients right with Severus’ guidance.”
Bruce grinned back as they managed to get out of bed, showered, put on clean clothes, ate breakfast and activated Floo Network.
“Hermione, Lucius, are you ok?” Harry yelled out as they stepped out of the Floo Network.
“In here, Harry! Come and join us!” Hermione waved them into the breakfast nook.
“Alright, second breakfast! What this potion has made me extremely hungry!” Bruce looked at a concerned Harry.
Harry sighed as he jotted down in his journal as a possible side effect: Makes subjects hungry. I am so sending an owl to Neville. He’ll get a kick out of this!
“What’s on your mind, dear?” Bruce asked worriedly.
“Oh, we should definitely tell Neville about this little potions fiasco.” Harry whispered into Bruce’s ear.
