As the sun grazed Hiromi's face, he slowly opened his eyes. He looked out the window and sighed. His head hurt from getting beaten, but he was still proud for what he did.
He wanted to become a strong man for the woman he loves, and now he has even protected her from getting hit. He smiled to himself proudly and looked over the table. There were some presents from his friends, but something was missing. Flowers. He really needed to see flowers now. Normally he would see flowers every day, but not now, since he's in the hospital.
Suddenly he heard someone knocking at the door. He turned his head to look who it is and blushed a little bit after he saw her. There was she, standing at the door with a bouquet of lilies, smiling to Hiromi.
“Can I take a seat?”, she asked.
Hiromi just nodded and tried to stop his blush. She placed the flowers on the table and said: “Hiromi, I honestly was really worried about you. I wish i could have come earlier, but always something got in the way. But i brought you your favorite flowers.”
“I'm kinda surprised, that you still remember.”, Hiromi said and started to smile again.
She smiled while saying :“Of course i do!” and took Hiromi's hand, to show that she's here. It was just a habit of her, and she didn't even know what effect that had on Hiromi. He felt how his heart beated faster and started to talk, but then the phone of his manager rang.
She looked on her phone surprised and took the call, then she symbolized Hiromi that she would go out of the room for a second and Hiromi just nodded.
He laid back his head and started day dreaming a bit. He thought back to the time, when he told her which are his favorite flowers and when she actually told him her name for the first time.

It was a december morning. Hiromi took all his courage and asked his manager out. She didn't seem to realize that he actually was trying to ask her out on a date, but she still said yes.
They went to a flower garden together. She held on his arm the whole time, but that's also a habit of hers, so Hiromi tried to not get his hopes up already.
„Oh look at the lilies!”, she said happily.
Hiromi smiled and then said :„Lilies are actually my favorite flowers, i just always found them so pretty.”
She looked to Hiromi with an joyful expression now. „Really? That's funny, because my name is actually Lily.”
„I.. I really like your name, it's quite beautiful.”, Hiromi said and felt how he got a little bit nervous.
„Aww, thank you. I'm flattered.", she said and felt how she's blushing now.
After that, they went ice skating. Lily was really good at it actually. She drove her lines full of elegance and made pirouettes along the way. Then she looked at Hiromi, who clearly was struggling with that. She smiled and said: „Hiromi, it's your first time, right? Let me help you with that, I will teach you.”
But Hiromi denied any help and started driving faster, so he could impress his crush. He actually wasn't that bad at all and proudly smiled when he heard Lily cheering for him. But then he realized, that she hasn't taught him how to brake yet. He screamed for a second when he crashed in the plastic wall and then heard Lily coming his way.
„Oh my god! Are you alright?”, she asked and helped Hiromi up again.
He took her hand and then said: „Yeah it's alright.”
He thought she would let his hand go as soon as he's standing again. But he was wrong about that actually. She pressed his hand a bit and then softly said : „Are you trying to show off? There's no need for that. Just let me hold your hand and drive together.”
He felt how he got flustered and wanted to say something against it, because he was way too nervous. But she didn't give him any time and already started to drive slowly. Hiromi almost fell, but then he managed to drive with her slowly.
After some time, he even got better. Now both of them were driving much faster then in the beginning. Both were laughing loudly, while the sun already vanished. „Skating was really fun either way, and it was even more fun, doing it with who you love.”, was what was on Hiromi's mind at that time.

He suddenly woke up from day dreaming, when he heard that Lily is coming in again.
„I'm sorry for the interruption, i just got a call from my cousin, that he's gonna visit us soon. I actually have to prepare the guest room, so I'm gon-"
„No wait!”, Hiromi said. He didn't want her to finish that sentence yet. He knew it maybe wasn't the best moment to confess now, but he really felt like he has finally got enough courage to do so.
He clears his throat and started to talk after that.
„Lily, I... I have a crush on you, do you wanna go out with me?”, he said, faster than he wanted to. He blushed again and started questioning, if she even could have understood what he said.
He looked to her and saw how she was blushing a bit too. Then she started talking :„ Hiromi, you're actually such a cute guy and.. whats up with that expression?”
Hiromi didn't really answer that. „That's it!”, he thought, „I'm in the friend zone”
She started laughing now.
„I think i kinda got what you're thinking now. But you're wrong actually. I really meant that as a compliment. You were always so sweet and i couldn't stop thinking about you, after you protected me like that.
I think it's sweet that you want to become a strong man for me, but there's no need for that. You're already so strong and i would have liked you either way. So yes, i wanna go out with you, Hiromi.”
She took Hiromi's hand again and pressed it slightly. He held her hand and started to smile. Sometimes taking some courage to confess, really was worth it.
