The night was the only time Armin felt even remotely safe. The boy didn't like the sun and the light stretching before him. It was so hard to shut his eyes and see those visions. The visions of another man, one with brown hair and green eyes that sparkled like emeralds.
Ever since he could remember, he had been having dreams of this person, they seemed really close in age, the other appearing to only be a few months older than he was there. He knew that.
His mom used to tell him it was his soulmate he was seeing. She had seen visions of Armin's dad, and his grandma had seen visions of his grandpa before that. She described it as a special ability their family might have. He wondered if that was true, or just his mother being her and making things up again.
The dreams had been increasing in frequency lately, maybe tonight would be the night he learned if these where just dreams or if he was indeed seeing his soulmate.
The man did not appear on this night, instead he saw a forest path. One that seemed to warm and inviting. He looked around and saw the name of the park, it was near his house so he would visit the park when he woke up.
He hissed as he was awakened by the sunlight peeking into his room. Oh well...he might as well get ready. It took several minutes to get done.
It was an additional twenty before he reached the park. He approached the path he had seen the previous night in his dream, but then some one stopped him and turned him around, his heart started pounding.
There stood the gorgeous man from his dreams, he seemed a bit different then what Armin could remember, but it was him. The brown hair, his emerald green eyes gave a friendly twinkle, he was clearly well built and had muscles on him, and he had a friendly smile that caught the sunlight in just the right way that he actually appreciated it for once.
"Hey, I thought I would warn you, that path is actually closed. There are underground Hornets nesting in it. The Ranger asked ne too watch until she got back with the sign to warn people. Hey, are you okay?" Eren seemed to have noticed the questions in his face.
"Y-Yeah. Thank you for warning me....err what was your name?" Armin asked somewhat shyly.
"Eren Yeager." The man offered his hand out. "You are?"
"Armin..Armin Arlert." Armin shook Eren's hands and worked up his courage. "Say Eren, want to grab coffee sometime?"
Eren smiled. "Why not after our nature walk? I know a fee other paths in the park we can take and be safe."
"I would love that." Armin's heart beat as he realized his mom was right, he had been seeing his soulmate.
