GioMis Week 2021
Day 6
Prompt: Teamwork
April 5, 2003
Left.
Right.
Left.
Jump that fence.
Run through that alley.
No matter how far he ran, they never let up.
Giorno and Mista trailed behind the man, refusing to let up for even a second.
Let’s go back a bit, the man hailed from a small rival gang that had been recently moving up in prominence in the nearby city of Caserta. Normally, Giorno wouldn’t have paid them much mind in comparison to their rivals who were more of a threat to Passione, however lately he was hearing reports of drug dealing happening within Naples. In Passione, he’d long since dismantled the entire drug trading section, so he already knew it couldn’t be coming from within. After sending in some undercover operatives to infiltrate, he’d come to learn that they saw Naples as a prime target due to the lack of a drug trade within the city, and their main targets to sell to were minors.
This did not fly with him at all, and at once he set into motion a plan to put a stop to them with utmost haste.
“Shit, this dude’s fast Giorno, I won’t be able to get a good aim if we can’t get a bit closer,” Mista said as he ran alongside Giorno after the man.
“Don’t worry Mista, I have a plan in mind, we just need to get him a bit further.”
Mista nodded and the two kept up on the trail. The man was agile, swiftly turning corner after corner and cutting through numerous streets and walkways in his attempt to lose them off his trail. This did little as the two continued close behind. His gun he initially had on him he’d carelessly dropped, a telling sign to the two that this man was an amateur.
The man ran into traffic, a car slammed on its brakes as he jumped in front of it. Like clockwork, he went towards the driver side’s and yanked the door open. Fortunately for him the driver hadn’t locked his door, so he quickly threw them out onto the street as he stomped on the gas and sped off.
“Mista! Shoot at the car, doesn’t matter where as long as you don’t hit him!” Giorno yelled.
Mista immediately drew his gun.
One, Two, Three, Four, Five.
Five shots.
Two bullets entered the trunk.
The other three on the other hand-
“Get it right in the back!”
“All right! All right!”
“Yeehaw!”
-were currently being ridden by Number 1, 2, and 7. Smoothly, they all at once kicked their respective bullets through the back windshield, two of them embedding themselves in the passenger seat while the other landed on the backseat floor.
“Heh, fuckwits, can’t get me now from here.” The man laughed at their seeming failure of striking him, believing himself to be free.
Suddenly, tree roots began to sprout within the car, coming from the trunk, passenger seat, and back. The man began swerving as the tree roots spread throughout the car, obstructing his vision, and bringing the car to a stop. Panicked, the man tried to get out, but the roots had entangled themselves all around him, trapping him in place.
“The old tree root bullet trick, hasn’t failed us yet has it Giorno.” Mista smirked as he and Giorno walked towards the now immobilized car.
“I cannot say it has Mista.” Giorno smiled as well.
The man in the car trembled, as he watched the two calmly head towards the car, his lack of stand preventing him from knowing just what they did to achieve these tree roots. All he knew however, was that he and his gang made the wrong choice trying to mess within Passione’s territory.
