Ivy Laine what people would call "unexpected" as you would never really know how she was feeling as she was good at covering up her emotions, that was at least until the one and only James Potter came into the picture.
Ivy was an average height standing at 5'4 which was apparently considered "tall" among her friends who were an inch or two shorter than her. She had tan skin that was uncommon among people in London who were pretty pale with fair skin, but that's what made her special. Her slightly wavy black hair that reached her elbows, made everyone jealous at how pretty it looked when the sun shined on it. She wasn't considered skinny unlike her friends who looked like they were pipe cleaners with eyes, not that that's a bad thing, but she wasn't fat either, she was slim with fat on certain parts of her body, but that's how she was so she couldn't really alter it. Her dark eyes that were filled with mischief, her full lips that stood out from everyone else who well look like they didn't have any lips, her beauty wasn't standard but it was unique.
Overall she was the last person that you would expect to have any kind of issues, although she always looked like a miracle had just happened, it was rare ever actually like that. From her horrible mother who would always have something new to criticize her on, whether it was the way she looked or how she did things, to her father who never paid attention to her and wouldn't even acknowledge when she was in the room and would rather talk to his only other child, her brother Ares Laine, all the way to her afore-mentioned older brother Ares was the golden child of the Laine family and was constantly put on a pedestal that enlarged his already big ego, not to mention how misogynistic and narcissistic he was.
But over time Ivy learned to cover up her emotions with pageant smiles and hardly ever talked about her feelings and what went down at "home" although that's not what she would call it, she would rather call it a hell hole that she can't wait to leave behind.
