SOMEWHERE IN PARADIS
ON THE EDGE OF THE WALL
"Zeke!" You shouted, Colt were running besides you hand in hand with Falco. Zeke in his titan form finally turned his head to see the small figures of you, Colt and Falco. He probably wondering what makes you shouting his name in the middle of war with an unexplainable facade on your face.
What shocked him most was the fact you were here, in Paradis. You can't see it but you know he was frowning behind the thick fur of him.
"(Y/n)?"
"Don't shout! Please!" You begged, followed by Colt who shoved the injured Falco to show him.
"Falco accidentally drink the wine! If you shout right now, he- he'll turn into titan!" Colt screamed, tears filled his eyes. "After that you're free to kill each other as much as you want! The marleyans and eldians can kill each other all they want! But please.. don't involve my little brother!" He continue to beg. Your heart ache as you witnessed this scene in front of you.
Not long after that Gabi came with her horse. Your eyes widened at the sight of Gabi, the little Gabi can ride a horse, you never saw this before. Even you who were 8 years older than her barely could ride one. You were impressed by her but this wasn't the right time. "Falco! Quick get on the horse!"
"No Gabi! Stay away from me!"
After seeing the painful sight in front of him, Zeke bowed his head, "Colt.. i'm sorry.."
Your eyes widened, couldn't believe Zeke actually gonna let Falco turn into a mindless titan. "Zeke you won't" You said, barely even a whisper, none of these person could hear you.
"You care for your little brother.. As do I" He continued. His titan facial features are scary but he looked sad at this moment.
Cold sweats started to run on Colt's face, "Master Zeke?"
"So it is.. truly a shame"
You were about to grab the pocket knife you always hide inside your undergarments but Colt move faster. He pushed you hard until you were sent backwards and bumped with Gabi and her horse. "Not you too, (Y/n). Both of you, stay alive." He said while glanced at you and Gabi who are now far behind them. You saw Colt hugged Falco tightly as Falco started to tear up while staring at his older brother and then Gabi.
"It's okay Falco! Your big brother will stay with you, always!" Colt cried.
Fuck. (Y/n) do something.
You were froze in your position. Tears threatening to fall but you won't let them.
Gabi hopped off her horse to run towards them, she was crying. "FALCO!" She screamed, held out her arms and then you heard a scream, which coming from Zeke.
The sudden lightning were seen everywhere in this Island. You took a quick act and pulled Gabi to your arms, Her body were stiff as she kept muttering some words.
There he is. You saw Falco in his new form and Colt burned under him. You pushed Gabi's head deeper to your chest, you were not going to let Gabi sees Falco, not in this state. It would make her broke even more.
Suddenly, you remembers those words Commander Magath secretly told you.
"Gabi Braun is the great candidates and we can guarantee she will inherit the Armored titan, but Falco Grice has been showing his skills recently. It looks like he's going to inherit one following her brother".
So It was clear. Gabi is going to be armored titan soon and since I only got a year left to live, I'll pass down this Warhammer titan to Falco, right now.
You tapped Gabi's shoulder, making her lift her heads and her brown eyes widened as she saw your sincere smile for the first time. She thought you look extremely beautiful at this moment, the smile on your face, your glowing (s/c) skin and your messy (h/c) hair didn't diminish how beautiful your visuals are.
"Gabi, you'll see him again" That was supposed to be your last words but Falco's titan run towards Reiner who were still in his titan form instead. He ate his nape and Reiner didn't bother to move. He let him.
"REINER MOVE" you shouted, making Gabi flinch at how hoarse your voice was. Your hands were shaking, the memories of you, Reiner, Pieck, Porco along with Gabi, Falco, Zofia and Udo at that festival were played inside your head. All of you were having fun, enjoyed the happy moments together and forget about the war and the cruelty of the world for a moment. You never showed any sort of expressions but deep inside you, you were so grateful you have them around. You are happy whenever you were around them.
They accept you for who you are.
Why Falco doesn't pay attention to me or Gabi? Should I transform so he finally notice my presence?
You dragged Gabi inside the nearest house to keep her save. She screamed your name and trying to get herself out but you locked her by putting some boxes in front of the door.
You grab your knife and make few scratches on your hand. Blood rushing down your hand and fell to the ground. You gritted your teeth, totally disappointed with yourself. You won't stop, blood started to pool beneath you.
"TRANSFORM YOU USELESS BRAT!" you screamed to yourself. Your hand almost gave up but then a hand stopped you from hurting yourself. It was Porco.
He was badly injured, you can barely see half of his face when hot steams covered almost every part of his face.
"Don't. You know you can't heal yourself like the rest of us, you'll leave marks." He uttered tiredly, his hand still on your bloody wrist. You bowed your head down and let some strands of hair covered your face. You can't let him see you right now. You were so messed up. In everything.
"Where's Pieck?" You asked in a low voice.
"Alive"
"Good"
"(Y/n), here" He handed you a long iron sword. You lifted your head at him, there were a lot of questions on your mind. "With my cue, you'll slice Reiner's nape and save him. Both of you are precious to me. So (Y/n), please live on."
"Por-"
He rushed towards Falco, completely ignoring your calls. Titan Falco turned it face to Porco and with amazing speed, it grabs Porco and shoved him to it mouth. "(Y/N) ! NOW-"
Without hesitation you run towards the armored titan and climb on its hard skin. With the sharp sword Porco gave to you, you were able to slice its nape and saw tears running down from Reiner's eyes. "Galliard.." That was what he said the moment you saw him. You quickly grab his arms and dragged him out of his titan form to Falco's direction.
He turned into human.
"Falco, come on. We gotta leave this- GABI!" your gaze turned from Falco to Gabi who were running with anti-titan weapon on her arms. She ran towards Eren Yeager who were also running towards Zeke. Both of them were already in their human form.
You can't let him go. You should stop him.
"Let me go, (Y/n)" Reiner pulled his arms to chase Eren Yeager. He transformed once again and lift his hand, trying to grab Eren. He almost got the founding titan but something stopped his hand. A buzz haired man and long ash-brown haired were flying above you. They were the one who stopped Reiner's movements with thunder spears.
"COME ON EREN" Zeke shouted while extending his arm for Eren to reach. His body were lying on the ground, half of his limbs were missing.
Titan's marks were visible under your eyes right as you see Zeke, the person you've always admire betrayed you like this. You ran past the unconscious Reiner before you finally transform, "YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE YEAGER" you shouted as your white-bluish titan skin starting to form. You saw Eren and Zeke lift their head while giving you a fear and shocked look.
You slowly swing your long hammer and hit the ground, of course you MUST avoid injuring the man to regain the titan power that was stolen years ago. You don't have any choice but to eat him right away. Your actions were sent Eren to the left side, far away from Zeke. You walk towards the man, stretching your arms out to grab him but his emerald eyes stopped you.
He was staring directly at you. You know this look, the look of someone who intending to kill the person he was staring at.
"JUST IGNORE HER, EREN. YOU CAN'T LET THE POWER PASS DOWN TO HER"
You just standing here. You know the consequences if you took another step.
First, the man in front of you will transforms and the winner already clear.
Second, you can't let this man gain another titan power. He already have two in him including the founding one. If you lose, you just give him new titan power.
Third, you know who can beat him right now. And that person, She is ready.
Still in your titan form, you saw Eren run towards Zeke. He often turn his head back to making sure you won't chase him or do anything.
He extended his arm as he arrived in front of Zeke, the Yeager brother already this close to hold each other hands before-
BANG!
Gabi just shot Eren right at his head. Zeke screamed as Eren's head dropped in front of him.
SHIT! He is going to touch his head!
You let yourself out of the crystal that was connected to your titan forms under a random house the entire time. It made yourself wet and there was no time to think about that. You grab a random white loose dress from the drawer and run straight to the battle field.
If you can't make it on time and something *you wish to never happen* really happened, at least you had to take Gabi, Falco and Reiner with you. You know Eren's plan. Everyone knows.
It was the Rumbling.
"Watch out!"
You startled as a strong hand pulled you from behind.
"What-"
Your eyes widened as you see bunch of Colossal titans suddenly appears. They were the Wall titans, the titan that has been standing for years protecting the Paradis Island from the outside world.
THUMP THUMP THUMP
You covered your ears before you were being dragged by a person. They lead you to a forest, kinda far from the wall. You felt your legs almost gave up but thank god the person had a horse with them. "Hop on!"
"Take me to the wall!" You shouted at them, your hands still covering your ears since you hate the loud sounds that envelop your ears.
"Are you crazy?!" The chestnut haired shouted at you back. "You see that big ass titan?! You still want to go there huh?!"
"Yes! If you won't then lend me your horse!"
"No! Come with me!"
You shook your head, "Then no!"
You hop off and run away from them. The loose dress you wore didn't help anything, you almost fell because you tripped from the soft cloth that hit your shin.
"CAN YOU LISTEN TO ME?! I'm helping you here!" A familiar sound heard again from your back. You could barely hear them since the sounds of the titan's footsteps were way too loud.
"I don't need your help!" You responded, not even bother to glance that annoying person.
"Sure you don't!" They said, judging from the tone they used, they were testing you.
You decided to ignore the person and keep running forward, until a big figure greeted you with a wide smile.
A titan?!
You pull out your pocket knife from your undergarments but someone from behind stopped you. They fly towards the titan to slice its nape. The steams from the titan could be seen as the person was now standing in front of you. You were about to open your mouth to say something but before that happen they already hold you and carried you to their horse.
You didn't stop moving, even punching their strong hand that gripped onto your hip tightly. You were trying to get yourself off from their arms but they're surprisingly strong. You sighed and let the person take you to the forest far from the city.
THE FOREST, PARADIS
You bring your knees up and rest your head there. You were under the big trees, not alone but accompanied with these two strangers. One badly injured and the other one (the one that kidnapped you) seems to be his nurse.
It's been an hour since the eldians were sent to 'Path' by Eren Yeager. So Willy Tybur was right about Eren planning the Rumbling. And you just witness it happened right in front of your eyes. You close them tightly and let the memories played inside your head.
The day when you got the Warhammer titan. The Tybur family was there, they were clapping when you successfully inherit the titan power from Lara Tybur.
Your mother hugged you and broke into sobs.
The next day, you found your mother lied lifelessly in her room. She was murdered by your own father, and your father tried to turn himself a titan to steal the titan power from you.
He lost his leg in a war and was discharged from the military. That was the main reason he sent you to the marleyan forces and forcing you to work hard until you got the titan power.
To bring back his lost limb.
Once he took out the titan serum from the black box he hold, you quickly made an action and stab him right at his chest with your pocket knife.
And then you live alone, for 5 years. Reiner, Annie, Bertolt, and Marcel leave you, Pieck, and Porco alone to finish their mission. You stay in Liberio, protecting your hometown and join some war against other countries besides Paradis. The three of you + Zeke and Colt start a bond since the four of you spend so much time together. Porco and Colt who weren't a titan shifter treated equally because Porco will inherit the Jaw titan right after Marcel and Colt informed to be the next beast titan after Zeke.
Knowing you live alone at such young ages, Commander Magath illegally adopted you. You live under the same roof as him, a pure Marleyan. Both of you decided not to tell anyone because it will ruin his reputation. He said. Only Zeke knows and he often came to Commander's house to accompany you. He treated you like his sister, so you admire him the most.
"fuck.." you cursed under your breath when you started to have a headache. Anxiety rushing through your veins as you remember all the moment you spent with Zeke, Pieck, Porco, Reiner, Bertolt, Marcel, Gabi, Zofia, Udo, and Annie.
Annie.
The last thing you know about her, she was crystalized. Somewhere in this Island.
"That's right.. Annie!" You abruptly stand up from your knees.
"Oh god" the injured man sighed, the chestnut haired person still had their hand on his muscular arm. Ignoring the fact you just shouted all of sudden, they were too focused on treating the man's wounds.
"Take me to your headquarter" You said with your usual flat voice.
The annoying one shook their head, "No"
"Ok. I'll find out myself"
"You better stay there. I'll take you there but not now." They pointed at you before gesturing you to sit on the mat next to them. "We need to talk"
You sighed and approach the person. You crossed your legs and now you were face to face with them. Their chestnut hair was up to half-ponytail and they were wearing goggles and an eyepatch covering their left eye. From this distance, you were fascinated by how pretty the person is. They were done with all the business with the almost fully bandaged man, now both of them staring at you with curious expression. You stared at them back with unamused stare.
The atmosphere was tense, you started to feel uncomfortable.
"Tell me everything about you. I saved you for a reason."
You rolled your eyes at the pretty eye-patched person, "You are a stranger"
"Hange Zoe" they extended their hand, waiting for you to accept their hand to shake it but you didn't move a bit. "That's my name. At least you know it now." They pulled back their hand awkwardly. "The man right here is Levi Ackerman. Have you heard about him?"
Ackerman.
Ackerman.
Where did I heard that name?
"You know what?! I was surrounded by the Devils with two Ackermans leading the group!" Porco shouted from his bed across yours. You just hummed in response. This is the third time you heard this story from Porco himself, you knew he must feel very irritated.
You were actually there when the Devils Soldiers attacked your hometown, Liberio. But at that time you were locked inside the Tybur residence. They said they 'had to protect you', but they shouldn't do that. You are a warrior. You had to fight.
When you finally escaped from the luxury place, the first thing you saw was someone's body crushed by a big rock. Turns out it was Zofia's.
Then you met Colt and Gabi with Udo lying on his arms. The last thing you know about him, he passed away.
And after that, you left them two to help Pieck and Falco. The enemies almost shot them but they missed a few bullets. Pieck got injured so bad and healed so slowly. Falco helped her and run towards the headquarter to bring her to Commander Magath. You decided not to follow him and stay there to examine the situation.
Lastly, the most shocking part. You saw an explosion coming from the Colossal titan. The new Colossal titan which was not Bertolt's. It was far away from you but you can see it figure clearly since it was too big. So the enemy already got three titan power including the founding titan. Not to mention, Annie, the female titan unfortunately also trapped in that Island.
You were already close to give up as you see many innocents and your comrades fell from the unplanned event. You hate to say it but deep in your heart you thought that day was the day marley finally got the karma they deserve.
A clap snap you out from your thoughts, it was coming from Hange. "Is there any informations you can tell us?"
"No"
"How about your name?"
You clicked, "Tch, can you just tell me the reason why you brought me here?"
Hange cracked a small annoying smile, "Tell me your name and then i'll tell you the reason."
You looked down to your restless fingers, debating with yourself whether you should answer them or no.
A couple seconds passed and you finally open your mouth, "(Y/n)"
"Just that?"
"(Y/n) (L/n)"
Hange nodded, "Nice to meet you (Y/n). I'm Hange Zoe, the 14th Commander of Survey Corps. The guy right there is badly injured but he is strong enough to still breathing after the big explosion caused by the Beast titan."
The commander of Survey Corps. Nice. This is the end for you.
You slightly raised your brows after they mentioned Zeke. Without you knowing, Hange was studying you. They were mentioning Beast titan on purpose to see if you would show some reaction. "Oi Hange. I don't want to hear that ugly ass name coming from your mouth" Levi interjected. He was lying on the mat, totally not healed enough to stand up by his own.
"Ah sorry Levi! But you how are you still alive when Zeke himself already at the edge of his life. He supposed to be dead if only Ymir the founder didn't help him." Hange glanced at your direction, wanting to see your reaction but it shows nothing. You were just staring at your legs blankly. "I wonder if all titans could do that. If that was true then humanity is in big trouble" They sighed.
After a long silence, you finally spoke up.
"Zeke got royal blood in him"
1-1 Zeke. You betrayed us so do I.
The two soldiers now turned their head to you with their eyes widened. "Royal blood? Does that means Eren-"
"Not Grisha. Zeke's mother is the one who had the royal blood. Titan shifters with royal blood are built different, they are way too strong than the rest of us. That's why Zeke can turn the eldians to titans and control them afterwards. It almost sounded like the founding titan, but the difference is that he only able to control the titan he made by his spinal fluid. Meanwhile the founding can control every titans and the eldians." You explained.
Hange chuckled, making you turn your head to their direction and staring at them weirdly.
"They are way to strong than the rest of us" They repeat your words with the same tone you used.
They smirked, "So you are also a shifter."
