Work Text:
I finally arrived at Armin’s house, it was a long journey to travel all the way from school and it was nearly sun set by the time I arrived at his house. I took a deep breath as I nervously rang his doorbell. Finals were coming up soon, it was very kind of Armin to offer to tutor me despite him already finishing the class and having his own exams to worry about. He was always passionate about Earth Sciences and would be graduating at the top of his class soon.
Looking at my watch, it’s been 5 minutes and still no answer, Maybe I should ring him again, I thought to myself. But just as I reached for the door, they opened and Armin poked out his expressive face to greet me.
“Oh Hi!” He exclaimed in his adorable German accent.
“Very Good to see that you’re prepared for our class today.”,said Armin.
Excited to see him again, my eyes were glued on his and nearly forgot to reply.
“Yeah, thanks for making time and helping me with this class.” I said.
“Oh it's nothing really. It’s been awhile since I finished this class too, I hope my Alzheimiers hasn’t kicked in during this period.” he replied jokingly.
Usual Armin, always trying to be comedic.
I giggled. “You think you’re so funny, Armin.”
“Well, we’ll find out soon enough,” he replied chuckling nervously.
Armin showed me around his house and offered to get me some water while I waited in his room. I took out my bag and layed out my notes on his desk so that we could get started. I noticed that there was an empty coffee cup that still had remnants of coffee ground that remained on his table. Perhaps he pulled an all nighter studying the day before so that he could make time with me.
Armin stepped carefully back into his room, trying to balance the glass of water in one hand and gripping books on his other.
“I’ve got a surprise for you, I dug through my bookshelf and look at what I found, my old textbooks.” Armin said.
He dusted the old books and we sat on his soft futon covered bed. “This was the old syllabus on Oceanography, I think it has more than what you need for your exams, it covers everything from ocean circulation to the biogeochemical cycles of the ocean.” said Armin.
I stared at his face as he cheerily explained the contents of each book he had grabbed.
I like your smile, its sexy
I imagined telling him that in my head. I had a secret crush on Armin, there was something about his humble demeanor and feeble yet handsome bone structure that was so alluring.
“So that should be all you need to study for!” he said eagerly. He opened the books and called out the points that I needed to pay attention to.
If only he knew, how much I’d rather pay attention to his dashingly cute face than chapters on Oceanography.
I watched him play with his silky blond hair as he was talking, who knew something so innocent and cute could arouse inappropriate feelings of my friend. After about 15 minutes of Armin rambling about the Ocean, I think he forgot why I was meeting him in the first place, I nervously interrupted.
“C-could you look at some of my tutorials?” I requested.
“Oh. Sure, of course,” he replied chuckingly.
But a few more minutes past and he still has not looked at my tutorials.
“Armin” I said, more authoritatively. I grasped his hands as I forced him to hold my papers. We both locked eyes. I stared deep into his blue, glistening eye, utterly transfixed.
“All right,” Armin said. He let go of my hands, still warm from his firm grips. “I apologise for rambling, actually, I was distracted by you....”
